The Vice President, Companion Animals, International provides strategic leadership for Humane World’s global Companion Animals Center of Expertise (COE), serving as the hub of subject-matter expertise and innovation for the organisation. You will drive the development of global strategies, ensure alignment with organisational priorities and scientific best practice, and support colleagues across country programmes to adapt strategies to local contexts for measurable impact.

Key areas of responsibility: 
• Provide overall strategic direction and leadership of the Companion Animals COE and support country-level programme implementation

• Build and maintain strong partnerships across sectors, representing Humane World within external coalitions and professional platforms

• Establish and uphold high medical and programme standards, including development of metrics and impact systems

About you
You are a strategic and influential leader with:
• A bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (advanced degree strongly preferred)
• At least 12 years’ experience in advocacy, operations, veterinary medicine, or a related field, including leadership of teams, strategy, and budget management
• Clear success accelerating impact through collaborative global partnerships
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Governance

• Work with the Board of Trustees to set and deliver the charity’s vision, mission, and strategic priorities.
• Provide clear, evidence-based advice and recommendations to the Board, ensuring effective governance and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Position the charity as a recognised leader in tackling inequality and poverty in the borough, particularly the North Kensington area.
• Maintain financial oversight taking a strategic approach to managing Dalgarno Trust’s finances in a sustainable way – ensuring adequate reserves are maintained.
• Ensure effective short, medium, and long-term financial planning is in place throughout the different levels of the organisation. Provide effective scrutiny by working with Dalgarno Trust’s accountants and finance personnel.

Income Generation & Fundraising

• Lead a sustainable income generation strategy, including accessing trust and foundation fundraising, corporate sponsorships, statutory grants, and social enterprise opportunities.
• Build and maintain relationships with funders and donors to maximise opportunities for growth and diversification of income.
• Ensure effective financial management, monitoring, and reporting of a c.£750k annual budget.

Partnerships & Place-Leadership

• Develop and maintain partnerships with voluntary, public, and private sector organisations to aid joint delivery of services.
• Represent the Dalgarno Trust in local strategic forums, influencing public policy and service design to reflect community needs.

Your skills

We are looking for a Social Worker or Counsellor, who has experience of working directly with those affected by adoption. You will have experience and knowledge of adoption law and practice and able to liaise with partner agencies to deliver the service in North and West Yorkshire.

You will be a dedicated and enthusiastic professional who is committed to improving the outcomes for adoptive and birth families, adopted adults and relatives. You will also have strong verbal and written communications skills and be able to deliver the service to a high standard.

Primary location of role

This is a remote role, and the candidate will need to be based in Birmingham, Coventry, or the surrounding areas. Regular travel will be required to meet supporters and visit Asda stores in your region, as well as occasional travel to our London or Sheffield offices.

You will be responsible for implementing a community fundraising strategy across a diverse range of networks – including individuals, organisations and businesses. Liaising with people at all levels, the role will be varied and have the potential for the post-holder to be creative in testing out new activities, with the opportunity to promote and be involved with exciting national campaigns and events.

Hours: 21 hours per week over 3 days

Location: Hybrid-working based in the Midlands, with frequent travel to supporter locations (Home Counties/ Midlands) and occasional travel to Head Office (Leamington Spa)

Crisis is the national charity for people experiencing homelessness. We have embarked on our 10-year strategy for ending homelessness. We know it is not inevitable. We know together we can end it.

About the role
Crisis is in the first year of our new strategy, and philanthropy is critical to achieving our organisational goals — especially the £20m Housing Supply campaign, an ambitious initiative at the heart of our strategy to deliver genuinely affordable homes and end homelessness for good

You would use your proven ability to build strong relationships and secure four- to five-figure gifts to manage a dynamic portfolio of major donors and prospects, applying your understanding of moves management and the major donor solicitation cycle to engage, inspire, and retain support. Confident in working with high-profile individuals, you would use your excellent communication and influencing skills to deliver compelling cases for support, represent Crisis with professionalism, and create meaningful donor experiences.

Proactive and creative in your approach, you would work collaboratively across teams, integrate digital techniques to enhance engagement, and measure success against KPIs and targets. Above all, your work would be driven by a deep commitment to Crisis’ purpose and values—equity, inclusion, and the belief that together we can end homelessness for good.

About you

We are looking for an ambitious and relationship-led fundraiser who is passionate about making a tangible difference and inspired by Crisis’ mission to end homelessness. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of moves management and the major donor solicitation cycle, using these principles to strategically cultivate, solicit, and steward high-value supporters. With a proven track record of securing four- and five-figure gifts, you will be confident in engaging and influencing high-value and high-profile individuals, understanding their motivations and inspiring their confidence in Crisis’ work. About RSPCA North West London & South Hertfordshire

RSPCA North West London & South Hertfordshire is dedicated to promoting kindness and preventing cruelty to animals. As an independent branch of the RSPCA, we have been serving the North West London community for over 75 years. We rescue and rehome stray and neglected cats, rabbits and other small animals and provide assistance and education for pet owners. We operate 2 catteries and 6 charity shops.

The Role

We are looking for a Manager with a passion for animal welfare, who will contribute to our mission of rescuing, rehabilitating, and re-homing animals in need.

They will expand our profile across the North West London and South Hertfordshire area, working closely with the trustees to create a sustainable business plan, and have overall responsibility for the day to day running of the charity.

Please note that this position is responsible for managing the charity, not the charity shops.

As our charity operates 7 days per week the successful candidate will be expected to be available outside of their normal working hours to handle any urgent issues that need to be referred to the Charity Manager.

Governance and Administration

In consultation with trustees, develop and implement robust policies, operational procedures and controls compliant with up to date legislation in all areas of the charity’s operations. To include health and safety, employee legislation, animal welfare licencing standards and financial controls.

Continuously review and develop the charity’s activities to ensure they remain relevant.

Budget Management

Work with the Treasurer to set budgets and ensure that the charity operates within those budgets.

Animal Welfare

Develop the charity's ability to accommodate the changing animal welfare needs in our community.

Requirements:

• You have a proven track record of leading and motivating people to deliver the strategic aims of a business or charity

You have expertise and experience in:
