Financial Modelling Analyst | £50,000 - £55,000 | 12-month FTC | Fully Remote

For the UKs largest not-for-profit social enterprise in the employment and social mobility sector, we are recruiting a Financial Modeller / Analyst on a 12-month contract which could go permanent. Working closely with the finance business partners and commercial operations teams, this role will develop models to review commercial bids and acquisitions and provide insight to senior leaders on value drivers to inform decision making around bidding strategy and financial planning. This role will suite someone with first-rate commercial tendering, bidding, financial modelling, and Excel skills and a strong relationship builder from either the commercial or social enterprise sector. CFA or CIMA qualifications are preferred. Please note, this is a fully remote role but applicants need to be UK-based.

Main Duties:

• Deliver financial and commercial analytics, and modelling, focusing on new business development, bidding and tendering
• Implement best practices in modelling and business development processes across the group

Our partner, an international charity, is looking to recruit an experienced analyst with a background in finance business partnering. The successful candidate will be joining the organisation during an interesting period, and be curious, with a strong analytical mind and ability to interpret financial information, and be articulate. 

Responsibilities

• Ensure that there is a sound understanding of business areas in terms of both present as well as forecasted performance.
• Work with budget holders on the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring that any advice/support in understanding the numbers is provided in a timely manner, and that they and senior management are supported in their decision making.

Requirements

• Strong communication and finance business partnering skills – able to accurately and precisely communicate important financial information to non-finance budget holders, and senior management staff, challenge numbers and support in sound decision making.

About Katherine Low Settlement   

Katherine Low Settlement is a busy, local charity that has been serving Battersea and the wider Wandsworth community since 1924. We are dedicated to building stronger communities and enable people to challenge and find ways out of poverty and isolation.   

We run a range of our own community services to support local older people and children, young people, and their families from refugee communities. We campaign for social change. We incubate and support other charities and social businesses to thrive. Each week we work with 30+ charities and community groups supporting more than 1,000 people. 

We are looking for an experienced, confident and proactive fundraiser to join our income generation team to raise more grant income from charitable trusts and foundations primarily, along with corporates and other partners. These include local schools and community organisations. Maintaining great relationships with these and other supporters Is a key requirement of this role. A confident self-starter, you will have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.

Role Purpose 

Working alongside our chief executive (who is an experienced fundraiser), an external larger bid writing resource and heads of programmes, the key objectives are to successfully generate income with grants valuing up to c.£10k in line with KLS fundraising plan and annual budget; develop and maintain relationships, and secure funding from, a portfolio of loyal and prospective supporters. Stewardship, reporting, pipeline and other database management tasks are other key features of the role.

Trauma Treatment International (TTI) is a registered charity in the UK. We focus on providing evidence-based psychological treatment and support to victims of collective violence around the world. As well as providing treatment for victims directly, we work with organisations and communities to manage, mitigate and prevent the impact of trauma.

This is an exciting time for the charity, as we move into our next phase of development. We are now seeking a new Chief Executive Officer to lead us in the implementation of our Strategy 2025-2030 and our vision for change.

Role Purpose

You will be responsible for building and maintaining partnerships with hyperlocal, local, and national businesses, stewarding the organisations to become Mustard Tree’s partners, and for us to be their ‘Charity of the Year’, donating to and fundraising for the charity.

You will manage an existing caseload of these valued partners, with the opportunity to proactively create new relationships and partnerships, contacting through multiple channels, creating content, and hosting, touring, and presenting to businesses.

In addition to corporate partnerships, you will manage the recruitment and stewardship of Mustard Tree’s events fundraisers, being responsible for the administration, making sure all places are filled, planning the events, and helping all participants hit their fundraising targets.

Main Duties

Corporate Partnership

• Steward a cohort of existing Corporate Partners through email updates, calls, social media activity and booking monthly check-ins, as well as sharing infographics, case studies, events information, and newsletters when useful.
• Proactively build new relationships, ultimately securing new donors, partners, and ‘Charity of the Year’ organisations. Make it clear and easy for donors to understand what we do, how they can help, and the impact they will have.
• Host, tour, or present at a minimum of four organisations per week.
• Manage inquiries, emails, and queries relating to partnerships, corporate donations, volunteering, and events, ensuring timely responses.
• Manage the partnership inbox and work with the Fundraising team on our corporate bookings calendar.
• Work with the Fundraising and Volunteer Coordinator to plan and book Social Value Days for partners and prospective partners.

About the role

This role provides tactical and targeted support to our District teams as we seek to enable our volunteers to deliver training to both cadets and volunteers in line with the Sea Cadets Learning Strategy.  This post is responsible for supporting the delivery of the district training, including Royal Marine Cadet (RMC) training activity at Troop level. The work location can be flexible (home or office-based) requiring regular evening and weekend working supporting our volunteers by attending virtual meetings and delivering online training.

Responsibilities

• To provide functional support to our area Training Managers and District and RMC Troop Teams, ensure the district training plans are delivered, amended as necessary throughout the year, to the training plan and in line with identified training needed to best support the delivery of the Sea Cadet Experience.
• To support specific District Teams including the District Training Officer (DTO), District Recreational Officer/ Deputy District Officer (DRO/DDO), District Staff Officers (DSO), and RMC Troop Commanders (Trp Cdr) identified as requiring support under our change management process.
• To work closely with all District Officers to increase the number of certificated, current and competent instructors, and develop the capability and capacity of District Instructors to deliver training to cadets and volunteers across all Districts.
• To support the ATOs/DTOs/RMC Troops in all training matters (including uniformed and unit management teams) with a specific focus on Districts/Troops that need support.
• Support our Programmes and Virtual Training Manager with the co-ordination the of delivery of appropriate MSSC and other approved training packages (including BTEC, Duke of Edinburgh’s Award) appropriate to the age and experience of cadets across the organisation.
• Work under the leadership of our Assistant Director Sea Cadet Learning monitor performance against set targets set by the National Support Centre to ensure equitable access for cadets and adults to the Sea Cadet Experience.

The Role

In this key role you will be responsible for assisting the Senior Negotiating Officer to manage and support our stewards, safety and equality representative networks across West Midlands and part of Cheshire, advising them in providing individual and collective industrial relations support to members, working both in and outside of the NHS. Venn Group is delighted to be working with a leading membership organisation to recruit a HR Advisor on a 4 month interim contract. This role will play a key role in reviewing and updating HR policies and procedures aligned with best practice and employment law.

Key responsibilities of the role:

• Draft and revise HR policies and procedures in line with UK employment legislation and best practice, collaborating with key HR stakeholders.
• Identify, prioritise and update outdated policies based on significance and time since last review
• Work with the Governance team to keep the policy register current and compliant
• Engage with staff representatives in the consultation process for all new and revised HR policies, and complete equality impact assessments as required
• Prepare documentation for policy approval and ensure timely scheduling for review by the Risk Management Board and other relevant decision-making groups
• Work alongside the Head of HR to present policies for approval at senior leadership or committee level
• Communicate policy updates across the organisation, share them with the HR team, and publish final versions on the staff intranet
• Support managers and HR business partners in applying new policies in practice and help develop a regular review schedule

Ideal candidate profile:

• CIPD Level 3 or equivalent qualification (desirable)
• Proven experience in generalist HR roles with a solid understanding of UK employment law and diversity and inclusion practices
• Strong written communication and interpersonal abilities to build relationships and produce professional documentation
• Skilled in conducting research and applying findings to inform HR practices and policies
