Age UK is hiring! We're looking for a Partnerships Manager- Trusts to generate income from charitable trusts and foundations to support the work of Age UK. You will develop creative, compelling funding propositions, engage with high value prospects and stakeholders, and produce regular reports for funders. This fantastic opportunity would best suit an individual with successful and proven experience in achieving income targets in a high value trust fundraising role.
We operate a hybrid-working model, a blend of home and office working. This role will include regular days working from our London office (EC3N 2LB) - currently once a week on a Thursday and may involve occasional travel for meetings and cultivation events. Travel costs to the London office are the responsibility of the postholder and are not covered by the charity.

Your role

Role Requirements
- Your main objectives is to support the board and senior leadership team in ensuring the charity continues to deliver high-quality, safe, effective and financially sustainable services for vulnerable children now and in the longer-term;

- Liaise with SLT directors to ensure departmental risk registers are in place and appropriately maintained.

ABOUT IWPR
Founded in 1991, the Institute for War and Peace Reporting (IWPR) is a non-profit organisation that works with independent media and civil society to promote positive change in areas of crisis and conflict. From Ukraine to the Philippines – via the Middle East, Africa, Latin America and Central Asia – we have trained tens of thousands of journalists and civil society activists and built many lasting organisations that remain independent to this day in Afghanistan, the Balkans, Africa and Asia.
THE ROLE
The Development Manager will proactively develop programme ideas into winnable proposals and progress income from institutional donors as well as trusts and foundations. Reporting to the Global Development Director, the successful candidate will be a self-starter with the relevant experience, skills and relationships to develop a portfolio of prospects and grantmakers. You will work as part of a collaborative and friendly development team and work closely with programmes to develop new ideas and applications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop new ideas for business development and submit to institutional and/or trusts & foundations as appropriate
- To work with programme teams to submit timely proposals in response to calls including proposal development and coordinating the proposal administration process
- Work closely with the programme teams to identify and respond to new opportunities for their portfolios and develop existing relationships in collaboration with IWPR programmes
- Contribute to the development team and overall organisational income targets
- Develop strategies for engaging new prospective donors – including foundations - through research
- Gather and share information on new potential funding and/or themes and contribute to the intelligence and MEL functions of IWPR with donor information and competitor mapping

Finance Manager
We are seeking a Finance Manager to join the growing Reaching Higher team and bring our finance function fully in-house. We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented professional who will play a pivotal role in ensuring strong financial systems, accurate reporting, and sound financial planning. The successful candidate will demonstrate a proven track record in financial management and governance, budgeting and forecasting, payroll and pension oversight, and the ability to provide clear strategic insight and analysis to support organisational growth and sustainability.
Purpose of this Role
Our finance functions are currently partially outsourced to an external contractor. Our income has grown significantly over the past five years and our Board have now decided to employ a Finance Manager and bring financial expertise in-house. In this new position as the Finance Manager at Reaching Higher, you will play a vital role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and planning, payroll and pension management, and financial governance and compliance. You will support all aspects of Reaching Higher’s work and development through ensuring strong financial systems.
You will work closely with our team to ensure that all day-to-day finance requirements are met, including accurate grant finance monitoring and reporting to multiple funders. You will also work closely with our senior leaders and board to build the charity’s financial resilience and the financial awareness of our wider team.
You will work closely with the Executive Assistant & Administrator and report to the Executive Director, as well as working closely with the Executive Team, Treasurer and wider Board.

Reaching Higher is a youth organisation which works with over 2000 young people aged 9-21 each year across Croydon and surrounding boroughs. Developed in partnership with local churches, we are a youth-led charity with a Christian ethos and this role is restricted under basis of faith.We have a particular emphasis on providing mentoring support to young people and supporting their development as leaders. Job Summary
Ensure effective delivery of the charity’s marketing and communication plans to raise the charity’s profile, generate income, achieve our fundraising targets and demonstrate the impact the charity makes to its beneficiaries.
Working with the Head of Brand & Marketing, you will play a key part in activating our new five-year strategy and successfully communicating our new organisational purpose. You are our lead press contact and will work with local, regional and national media and partner PR teams to amplify the charity’s voice further and generate increased coverage of Bristol & Weston Hospitals Charity (BWHC).
You’ll lead on key marketing activity, including fundraising events, campaigns and appeals, including the annual Christmas campaign.
Central to the role is ensuring we have excellent relationships with our NHS colleagues and hospital staff to enable us to identify storytellers, building on our “one team” approach and delivering impact reporting.
You’re our go-to person for our celebrity champions ensuring they are well looked after and engaged with our campaigns and appeals for additional reach and endorsement.
Key Accountabilities
Share meaningful content and powerful stories
- Lead the creation of specific charity key messaging and a case for support per project (e.g., Christmas, appeals) and ensure this is adhered to throughout all communications
- Understand our different audiences, utilising research and insight, and target communications accordingly
- Work closely with our fundraising teams on a content plan and delivery of communications, understanding the importance of stewardship, internal communications and our calendar of events
- Develop our impact portfolio, including the creation and design of the annual impact report
- Sensitively interview our storytellers, including patients, fundraisers and hospital staff, ensuring we’re using authentic voices throughout our communications
- Work closely with our grants team to ensure visibility around the hospitals

Champion our marketing campaigns
- Lead the promotion, activity and implementation of integrated marketing plans and materials as and when required across the year
- Manage the marketing materials workplan for the Brand & Marketing team
- Be the Brand & Marketing team lead on fundraising events, ensuring they have a good ROI and hit the fundraising/sign up target
- Work with the Head of Brand & Marketing to ensure any opportunities that arise from our partnership with NHS Charities Together and other charity partners are optimised
- Play a key role in the development and promotion of new ways of income generation, including merchandising.
Forge connections with PR teams and journalists
- Develop effective contacts and build personal relationships with local journalists and partner PR teams to initiate coverage and build strategic partnerships

We are the leading infrastructure organisation supporting the voluntary, community, and social enterprise (VCSE) sector in Bromley. Our Volunteer Centre plays a vital role in connecting individuals and organisations, promoting volunteering, and building stronger communities.
We’re looking for a passionate and strategic Volunteer Development Manager to lead and grow our Volunteer Centre. You’ll manage a small team and work closely with the Chief Executive to deliver high-quality volunteering services across the borough.

Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Manage and develop the Volunteer Centre, identifying service gaps and creating new projects.
- Promotion & Engagement: Champion volunteering across Bromley, with a focus on young people and underrepresented groups.
- Volunteer Support & Brokerage: Coordinate online, telephone, and face-to-face support services.
- Training & Capacity Building: Deliver training on volunteer management and best practices.
- Partnerships & Contracts: Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and manage relevant contracts.
- Monitoring & Reporting: Provide regular updates to the CEO, trustees, and funders.
- Advocacy: Represent Community Links Bromley at events and forums.
