About this role:
As Process Improvement Specialist, you will:
- work closely with colleagues across the organisation to identify and implement process efficiency and automation opportunities, from start to finish,
- develop and maintain process documentation, such as procedures, process maps and guides,
- regularly analyse data to understand the effectiveness of processes across the organisation, paying close attention to detail at all times,
- complete process mapping and reviews in order to maximise efficiency, coming up with solutions to complex problems swiftly.
About you:
To be successful in this role you should be truly process driven, with experience of implementing new processes and streamlining existing ones, with a knack for understanding a problem, analysing, and then fixing it. You’ll need to be a people person, as you’ll be business partnering colleagues and ‘meeting them where they are’, as they map out their processes and identify areas for improvement. You’ll need to be very detail orientated, and it would be beneficial if you have some Six Sigma certification to support your experience in process improvement. Additionally, you’ll need a commitment to the aims and objectives of Dogs Trust.

Under the leadership of the Chief Operating Officer, the Finance, IT, Governance and Risk, Efficiency and Sustainability, Facilities and Legal teams provide professional business advice and central support to Dogs Trust. These traditionally ‘back-office’ teams work closely with the rest of Dogs Trust to enable them to work more efficiently and effectively to deliver our mission. The role
This important role sits within our Supply Chain and Logistics team who are responsible for processing offers of surplus food from our food partners into our network of Regional Centres and the wider community. Food Industry Customer Service
- Deliver excellent customer service, ensuring offers are responded to and processed within agreed service level requirements

Regional Centre allocation
- Adhere to the requirements of the Network Service Level Agreement
- Work with the Supply Chain and Logistics Officers to match food supplied to Regional Centre needs, always working to maximise surplus redistribution and minimise waste
- Ensure that offers are allocated in an efficient and timely manner according to network needs and agreed priorities to maximise social impact of surplus food
- Using our CRM system, maintain timely records of accounts, allocations, offers and case management
- Maintain high standards of customer service to the Network and Operations teams and develop respectful and effective working relationships with the Regional Centres
Logistics and transport
- Work with hauliers to plan transport requirements and ensure that we are able to meet network demand
- Work with Regional Centres to coordinate and plan routes for internal FareShare logistics

Who: We are looking for an experienced, self-starting Finance Manager for the Central Foundation Schools of London, a charity supporting two state schools in London, with investments and endowments in the region of £40m.
Responsibilities: The Finance Manager will be responsible through the CEO to the Board, for day-to-day management of the charity’s accounts and all financial operations. They will manage the financial record keeping, payroll, pensions, banking and oversee the tracking of Foundation’s investments and income. The postholder will provide accurate financial management information, including quarterly cashflow forecasting and management accounts and co-ordinating the annual budget setting process. They will be responsible for preparing the annual accounts to the required standards and overseeing the annual audit process. Our Work: For over 150 years, the Central Foundation Schools of London has supported two schools in inner London. Our People: We are a small team with three part time staff managing the day to day work of the Foundation. Following their sons’ diagnosis of Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD), Emily Reuben and Alex Johnson founded Duchenne UK in 2012. We are an ambitious, dynamic and impactful charity.
DMD is a devastating progressive condition diagnosed in early childhood which causes all the muscles in the body to gradually weaken. There are currently only very limited treatment options for DMD, so Emily and Alex set up Duchenne UK to change this.
Since 2012, we have raised more than £27 million to end the devastating impact of DMD. We fund ground-breaking scientific research to find effective treatments. We’ve developed the infrastructure of DMD clinical trial delivery in the UK. We engage industry and regulators to accelerate access to treatments. And we’re here to support every family affected and ensure that they receive the best possible care. We aim not only to improve quality of live but stop the disease in its tracks. This role plays a key part in advancing the fundraising of Duchenne UK to enable more investment into research, advancing treatments and supporting the DMD community. In the past 18 months, The Trusts have been developing new approaches to funding nature’s recovery from the private sector, utilising novel revenue approaches such as nutrient neutrality credits and the voluntary carbon market amongst others. They have developed finance mechanisms to sit alongside these revenue streams such as a philanthropic loan system. They now want to scale up this work to help The Trusts and others to scale nature’s recovery across Wales. They need to turn policy into strong principles that allows us to develop guidelines and templates to help the Trusts across Wales access green finance.
Our client need dedicated expertise and capacity to work with the Trusts to bring this work into a coherent strategy, develop models and plans that build revenues for nature’s recovery allowing much greater investment. This post is designed to provide that expertise and capacity to work alongside those Trust staff that are already committed to developing these programmes.

This is an exciting time for an experienced corporate partnerships leader to join our high performing corporate partnerships team. Family Action is currently undertaking a major brand review and will soon be launching a new website, with income generation a key priority. We have several existing high value partnerships including with Barclays, NewDay and Poundland Foundation. For new business opportunity, our broad range of services allows alignment with partners across many sectors. Main Responsibilities:
- Leading the team in planning and delivering new business activity, drawing on business need, our organisation strategy, sector trends, meeting agreed annual income targets.
- Ensuring account management of all corporate partnerships is delivered with skill and diligence. Leading the team in maximising the impact of partnerships through outstanding relationship management.
- Embedding corporate partnerships in the strategic development of the organization, promoting and advocating for current and prospective partners in strategic discussions at Family Action. Integrating and aligning corporate partnerships activity with wider organisational priorities.
- Proactive and supportive line management of the corporate partnerships team, which currently comprises 3 x Corporate Partnerships Managers, 1 x Fundraising Officer and the Toy Appeal Temporary Assistant (Christmas)
Main Requirements (for details check the job description and person specification):
- A proven fundraising leader with an in-depth understanding of and experience of working on a wide variety of corporate partnerships
- Demonstrable experience of successful new business work, securing 6 and/or 7 figure opportunities.
- Extensive account management experience, ideally across a range of sectors
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to speak confidently both formally and informally to a range of audiences as well as strong writing skills.

About the role
The London Library is planning a major, multi-year building project and is looking for a Senior Facilities Officer - Project Management to work within the Buildings and Facilities Management team to help support and deliver the project.
As part of a small, hands-on team, this new role will also support the Library’s maintenance and improvement programmes, arranging contractor works and providing liaison with colleagues across the Library. The post reports to the Buildings & Facilities Manager. Some weekend and out of hours working will be required.
About you
You will hold an appropriate formal qualification within a relevant discipline, with previous experience of facilities project management, preferably in the charity, cultural or not-for-profit sector. A proven background in either FM or managing numerous refurbishments and maintenance projects is essential, along with experience of working in construction and maintenance environments, understanding and compliance of H&S law and construction regulations.
Experienced in managing budgets and project finance, the ability to build client and stakeholder relationships using exceptional inter-personal and communication skills, with a collaborative approach to achieving organisational goals on time, whilst working accurately and methodically, are all a must.
You are pleasant, approachable, welcoming, helpful, and responsive even under pressure, willing to turn a hand to whatever needs doing on occasion, with a flexible approach to working hours, including out of hours cover.
