Responsibilities

• Lead the organisation’s international finance function, with operations in the UK and overseas. Responsible for preparation of the annual accounts in the overseas country offices, and consolidated accounts in the UK; and the statutory filings.
• As a strategic advisor and member of the senior leadership team, support in the development of the organisational and financial strategies and the annual and quarterly planning processes; develop cost models, and offer advice on key decisions.
• Lead the annual budgeting & forecasting processes, and the preparation of the reporting packs.
• Provide oversight on developing donor budgets on a full cost recovery basis, monitor financial compliance, and meet donor reporting requirements.
• Responsible for managing the tax, treasury and forex affairs of the organisation.
• Provide oversight on the organisation’s operations – covering inventory, procurement, IT, HR and facilities.

Requirements

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACMA, ACCA, or equivalent) with senior level experience working in an international organisation with complex operations and funding sources.
• A balanced leader, willing to be hands-on, leading a diverse finance and operations team, and being a thought partner to the senior leadership team.
• Experienced in leading on all aspects of finance – financial accounting & compliance, audit preparation, budgeting, financial planning & analysis, forecasting and reporting.
• Experience in leading the operations of an international organisation.
• Demonstrable knowledge of charity & tax regulations and compliance.
• Strong analytical & business modelling skills, commercial acumen and the ability to interpret complex financial information.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills – able to work with colleagues from finance and non-finance backgrounds, and influence senior leadership team and board.

• Work with the Corporate Manager and Head of Corporate to sell and scale our new employability offer to corporate prospects

Job Purpose

Main Responsibilities

The Partnerships Manager will also help develop our support for Warm Welcome Spaces, including overseeing our Champions Programme which offers more intense support and a Community of Practice to a smaller cohort of local groups.

This will involve identifying and engaging partners in geographical ‘cold spots’ for the network (utilising our mapping tool developed with UCL), as well as forming partnerships to unlock new or under-represented types of Warm Welcome Spaces (e.g. Housing Association Community Spaces, cinemas, community spaces created by new housing developments etc).

● Leading the development of our Local Co-ordinators Cluster which brings together Local Authorities and others who are leading place-based networks of community spaces.

● Overseeing and developing the Champions Programme, providing more intensive support and connections to a smaller cohort of Warm Welcome Spaces.

Engagement and Inclusion

● Developing our Inclusion Strategy to identify and engage the best potential partners to diversify our Coalition and support local Spaces to become more accessible and inclusive.

● Working with the team to develop regular engagement activities for Warm Welcome Partners.

● Producing compelling communications (written and verbal) to promote the work of the Warm Welcome Campaign and grow the depth and breadth of partnerships - to include but not limited to partnership proposals, pitches and reports.

Good Practices, Standards and Systems

● Supporting, maintaining and developing existing partnerships and manage the systems (including CRM use) needed for excellent partnerships delivery, stewardship and development.

● Leading Warm Welcome Space good practice and driving up quality standards across the network, including through developing a Warm Welcome Awards programme.

● Promoting good practice in volunteering and supporting Spaces to maximise and grow volunteering opportunities.

● Working with the team and, using our new CRM, track, measure and analyse our partnerships delivery.

● Supporting the delivery of other Warm Welcome efforts, as appropriate

Reporting to the Campaign Operations Director, you will work closely with them and other Senior Directors to grow the range and impact of Warm Welcome partnerships. East End Homes are partnering exclusively with Robertson Bell in their search for a permanent Financial Controller. East End Homes, is a locally based and community-led housing association in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. This year East End Homes is celebrating its 20th anniversary. In 2005 residents of five estates across Tower Hamlets voted for their homes and communities to be transferred to the newly established social landlord.  Today, its 120-strong team manages over 3,900 homes with local offices in each neighbourhood. 

The newly created Financial Controller position offers a rare opportunity for a technically strong, ambitious, and commercially aware finance professional to play a key role in reshaping East End’s finance function and influencing decision-making at a senior level. The Financial Controller will be a member of the Senior Management Team and this role is seen as a natural stepping stone toward Finance Director level within the sector.

The Role:

• Work closely with the Finance Director and Executive Team to support strategic planning and organisational transformation.
• Oversee the development and delivery of Eastend Homes’ long-term financial plans, annual budgets, and business modelling (including BRIXX).

The Organisation:

About the role

The Director of Membership Services provides strategic leadership for the Membership Services directorate and is therefore responsible for the development and implementation of all Imperial College Union strategy relating to Student Activities, Representation, Advice, Governance and Policy. We're looking for a Head of Fundraising with a focus on Trusts and Foundations to help take our income generation to the next level. The person in this role will lead and grow our income from major trusts and foundations, overseeing our existing portfolio while actively developing new, strategic opportunities.

We are looking for a proactive policy and corporate affairs professional to join the Police Now team and play a key role in shaping understanding of our programmes, build support amongst stakeholders, and lead the conversation on police reform and culture change.

•Provide expert policy advice to officials at the Home Office, other Government Departments, and Parliamentarians on the work of Police Now through contributions to White Papers and Committee Investigations. 

•Be proactive in looking for opportunities for Police Now such as organising visits, participating in roundtables, and playing an active role in relevant conferences.

•Ensure that Police Now fulfils its obligations to Government in return for public investment and is responsive to the needs of the Home Office and other organisations. You will provide accurate information for answers to Parliamentary Questions in a timely manner, input for Ministerial briefings and correspondence, and advice on police and skills policy issues to the Government as appropriate.

The Senior Media Officer is an important role in the media team. You will have responsibility for the development and implementation of a whole range of proactive media campaigns in support of our organisational strategy, and you’ll actively contribute to the successful running of our busy reactive press office. You will also deputise for the Media Manager as necessary.

As a Senior Media Officer, you will play a key part in the day to day running of a busy press office, and an active role in developing media campaigns and materials that meet the strategic needs of the whole organisation. Whether you are promoting our fantastic frontline services, collaborating with partners and income generating teams as part of our Winter Appeal, or leading the media strand of a political campaign, you will work in a truly integrated way with colleagues from across Shelter. Your enthusiasm, expertise, and collaborative approach to work will help to upskill other teams at Shelter to better understand and utilise the media to meet our shared goals.   

Creative and results driven, you will have extensive knowledge of media tactics and techniques (traditional, digital, video, photography, podcasts etc), and your communication skills will be second to none. You will be able to translate complex research and policy into pithy soundbites and key messages suitable for public audiences. Given the news agenda rarely waits for anyone, you will be used to thinking on your feet and working under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

You will be good at managing your own time and projects, but you will also have what it takes to support, enable and motivate others in the media team and across the organisation. A keen eye for risks and opportunities, and a strong attention to detail will help to ensure you and your colleagues deliver to a high standard. The Purpose of the Role

The ideal candidate is a technical leader and expert in the corporate consumer goods sector – such as retail, travel, food products, etc. They will have demonstrated experience building 7-figure corporate partnerships in support of humanitarian and development work, and a robust network of funders, experts, and decision-makers in the consumer goods and other corporate sectors. In addition to supervising and mentoring a team of consumer goods sector fundraisers, the Associate Director will have a dedicated portfolio of partners, focusing on sustained revenue generation and humanitarian impact.  KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

•  Work with the Senior Director, Global Corporate Partnerships to develop and deliver a robust strategy for the consumer goods sector, identifying and initiating strategies for the consumer goods through a variety of partnership models.
• Cultivate a $2-3M+ USD portfolio of partners with a focus on sustainable funding, diversified funding streams, growing unrestricted funds and expanding influence.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential Qualifications

Work Experience:

•  Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent experience
• Technical expertise and experience working in the consumer goods industry and community
• Strong experience of front-line corporate fundraising and/or partnership development experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Experience leading 1-2 full time team, preferably fundraising

We’re looking for a proactive and organised Operations and Finance Officer to join our small but dynamic team. This is a varied, hands-on role providing day-to-day support across finance, operations, HR, and governance. You’ll work closely with our Head of Operations & Finance and CEO to help keep everything running smoothly.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in, or a strong interest in developing finance and digital administration skills. We welcome applicants with a solid background in operations or administration who are keen to grow their knowledge of finance systems, bookkeeping, and compliance in a supportive, mission-driven environment.

In this vital post, you’ll take the lead on day-to-day operational administration, including office management, managing payments and maintaining accurate records in systems like Xero.

• Support HR administration and payroll processes
• Manage office contractors and supplies
• Provide excellent service to our tenants and shared workspace users
• Ensure good data management and GDPR compliance
• Assist the CEO and Head of Operations & Finance with admin and logistics
