As Events and Community Officer, you will be working in the Enterprise Hub team. The Royal Academy of Engineering Enterprise Hub supports talented entrepreneurs and decision makers to transform breakthrough engineering innovations into disruptive spinouts, startups and scaleups.

Our entrepreneurs benefit from the prestigious national and global network of the Academy’s Fellows and experts. We have delivered 10 years of success, enabling our members to form a powerful, thriving, and supportive community of over 350 innovators. We run four programmes at multiple stages, from ideation to scaleup, for entrepreneurial engineers at different career points. Thanks to our charitable status, we don’t take equity, fees or IP.

The role will be to support, curate and deliver opportunities for a community of UK’s brightest engineering and technology entrepreneurs and business leaders (startups and scale-ups) to enable them to advance their entrepreneurial journeys and to provide them with opportunities to flourish. In joining the Enterprise Hub, the individual will work to support delivery of an ambitious programme of community engagement activities including monthly ecosystem meetups in London, developing new activities for our co-working space and for our communities, supporting our regional teams with the development (and possible delivery) of events, and helping to strengthen our alumni support.

Location

About the role

The Regional Communications Officer role is an exciting, varied position working with Emmaus communities located in the South East region of the UK to increase their profile and engage supporters.

You will work closely with the Emmaus communities in your patch to identify their communications needs and plan and deliver a mix of work to help achieve their goals. As part of a wider team, you will also share ideas and draw on each other’s experiences to maximise PR, digital and communications opportunities.

A typical working week within this role can include:

· A weekly meeting with other Regional Communications Officers to catch up and share ideas and work of interest

· A visit to an Emmaus community to conduct interviews and capture photography and video

· Writing and sending press releases

· Scheduling social media content

· Creating graphics and marketing materials using Canva

· Updating community websites using WordPress

This is a part time position working four days per week (30 hours), Monday to Friday.

Within this role, you can be based at home or in an Emmaus community. Wherever you are based, maintaining positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders is vitally important.  The current patch for this role is Emmaus Brighton & Hove, Emmaus Greenwich and Emmaus Dover. Regular travel to these three communities will be required (usually one community visit per week). Travel to team meetings, usually held in Birmingham, and other locations will also be required on occasion.

Who are we looking for?

We require someone with a strong skillset and at least two years’ experience working in a busy communications, public relations or marketing role. Although not essential, knowledge and understanding of homelessness and the charity sector would also be an advantage.

Creativity and passion are a must. You will have a broad range of communications skills, love seeing your creative ideas come to life and keen to develop your skillset within a national homelessness charity.

The Senior Grants Officer (Business Development) will join ClientEarth’s thriving and growing Business Development team. A key role for securing new grant income, the postholder will play a crucial part in the research and cultivation of potential new funder relationships, and will develop and submit winning funding proposals to trusts, foundations and institutional donors. 

They will manage their own portfolio of prospective funders, and undertake detailed prospect research into the foundation donor market whilst liaising with ClientEarth’s global teams across different programme areas and geographies. Working closely with the Business Development Manager, they will identify potential alignment with ClientEarth’s strategic priorities and inform decision-making in relation to funding opportunities. 

Meet your Manager

In this role, you will be managed by Alex Wright. A fundraiser for over 12 years, Alex previously worked for a range of national music charities and is a trustee of two arts education charities. As part of the Business Development Team at ClientEarth, he manages the cultivation of new relationships with trusts and foundations in the US and securing new grant income. Alex joined ClientEarth in 2024 and is based in our London office.

Main Duties

• Prospect research and pipeline development - Proactively undertake research to identify, qualify and prioritise new funding prospects/ opportunities to support the build of a pipeline of high quality leads to guide future fundraising efforts; 
• Business Development and Income generation  - Draft clear and compelling written fundraising materials including cases for support, funding proposals, and concept notes;
• Systems and processes - Provide timely and accurate information to the Business Development Manager on funding opportunities in their portfolio and progress with workplan, as requested, to enable accurate monitoring and reporting to the Head of Business Development;
• Understanding of ClientEarth’s programmes and funding needs 

Role requirements

• Fluent (CEFR level C2) in English 
• Experience of working in a fundraising or business development role for a charity, NGO, private or public entity; 
• Experience of drafting compelling and successful proposals for trusts, foundations and statutory institutions and securing multi-year grants, ideally at the six-figure level and above; 
• Experience of supporting the relationship development process with a new donor, from prospect research through to ask.
• Strong project management skills to lead the proposal development process to meet funder deadlines, including stakeholder management; 
• Strong alignment with ClientEarth’s values and commitment to our vision, and mission and equity, diversity and inclusion strategy objectives.

We have a great opportunity for an efficient and organised individual to join our Governance Team, providing maternity leave cover. 

Working closely with two other Governance Officers, you will provide support and guidance to the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) Council and its Committees. The three Governance Officers are responsible for the day-to-day operation of Council and Committee work, as well as the running and administration of key CSP events. The Programme Officer role will report to the Programme Manager and sit within the Programmes Team.

The Programme Officer will be responsible for coordinating and delivering a number of our services.  You will have a clear focus of delivering high quality programmes that are run smoothly, efficiently, within budget and achieve the desired outcomes and objectives for both the partners and the young people.

You will support others within your team to deliver high quality programmes from programme initiation through to evaluation that will directly contribute to the company's growth strategy and impact.

The Programme Officer will also be a key member of the department and contribute to systems and maximising efficiency, delivering programme coordination to an excellent standard that produces high impact for our young people and partners.

In this role, you will work closely with our Youth Ambassadors, Facilitator Team and Digital Communications and Marketing team.

Job summary

We are looking for a Chief Executive who can provide leadership, aligned with our valies and manage the organisation, working with the Trustee Board to provide vision and communicate a clear and inspiring strategic direction, implementing change as required.

The main purpose of this role is:

• To lead all staff and volunteers engaged by Motiv8 to successfully achieve objectives in line with Motiv8 valies in an inclusive way
• To develop the policy and strategy of Motiv8 in collaboration with the Board of Trustees
• To oversee and lead implementation of policies and strategy to deliver Motiv8 strategic aims now in the coming years
• To ensure that Motiv8 maintains and develops policies that reinforce inclusion and diversity in the workplace, that addrss all kinds of harrassment and protect minority and youth groups with whom Motiv8 works
• To represent Motiv8 on behalf of the Board of Trustees, to develop relations with our staff members, volunteers, partnership and stakeholder groups
• To further develop Motiv8 in line with the charity's objectives, to implement necessary change and ensure that Motiv8 exhibits ongoing relevance.

We are looking for a Product and Portfolio Manager within our Porfolio Development Team. You will have demonstrable experience in product/portfolio lifecycle management as well as a proven track record of successfully developing a cohesive portfolio strategy. You will need significant experience of meeting new business targets and driving business growth, as well as the development of a new business pipeline.

Salary: £40,708 - £46,523 per annum

In this role, you will work closely with colleagues to introduce new products and services that will support our growth and charitable impact. The role will include responsibility for meeting a new business target, through lead generation. This is an important and dynamic role that will require strategic thinking and a strongly collaborative approach.

In this role, you will:

• Manage the existing product portfolio, reviewing the existing offering in relation to market trends, client needs, the competitive landscape and the Charity's strategic goals
• Develop detailed product knowledge across the portfolio of products, leading development activity for each area alongside ongoing assessment of financial performance and product/service viability.
• Recommend and oversee product improvements, using market demand and customer and colleague feedback to identify and prioritise change.
• Working with the Chief Operating Officer and service leads to understand trends and opportunities across the portfolio and associated markets.
• Engage with expert colleagues from across the organisation to understand and support the development of their product ideas, evaluating these against internal and external factors including feasibility, expected value, and market demand.
• Financial and strategic modelling of new product options based on market demand, fit to Picker strategy, impact/income potential, strength of offering and ability to reach target audience.
• Work in partnership with the Chief Operating Officer, Head of Service Delivery, service leads, and the Marketing and Communications Manager to develop marketing plans to support demand generation on a thematic basis, providing expert product knowledge, customer insight and new business leads.

About You

You will have:

• Demonstrable experiences in product/portfolio lifecycle management.
• Demonstrable experience of managing project timetables, including reviewing progress and amending plans to address changing requirements 
• Proven track record of successfully developing a cohesive portfolio strategy that supports brand integrity/growth, whilst growing individual business lines/products/services
• Significant experience of meeting product/service business targets. Including driving business growth with new services and/or in new markets     
• Experience of success in the development and qualification of a new business pipeline (including campaign management and follow-up)
• Demonstrable leadership skills, with the ability to lead projects through to successful completion
• High levels of IT literacy, especially in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams  and Dynamics
• Highly numerate and confident in dealing with quantitative data including management and financial information 
• Ability to work collaboratively at corporate and departmental levels and, where necessary, with external suppliers and contacts 
• Excellent grasp of the English language in the business context 
• Ability to apply innovative thinking to identify how new research methodologies could be beneficial to the organisation and its clients

This project will bring the learning from all their place-based projects in Scotland to deliver activities and opportunities to enable people to walk, wheel, and cycle, for local journeys, leisure, and adventure. Their development officer team are embedded in local communities, working closely with community organisations, local businesses, and public sector agencies to:

• Bring organisations together to coordinate their activities and offers, to add value to what already exists and to identify what additional activities are needed.
• Deliver a range of walking, wheeling, and cycling activities, from pre-school and family cycling activities to health and heritage walks, adaptive cycling sessions for disabled people, confidence-building sessions, and learn-to-ride lessons for every age and ability level.
• Provide access to a range of cycles for people to try on short or long-term loans, supporting individuals to find a cycle and support that works for them and signposting them to partners that can provide funding for purchases.
• Work with local organisations to upskill and build the capacity of volunteers to deliver activities in the community.
