This is an exciting opportunity to design and implement impactful research and evaluation projects. People facing decades of prison time often completely lose connection with their family and friends on the outside. Depending on the prison, there may be limited access to rehabilitative programmes and educational courses until later in the sentence. It can be hard to maintain hope, and direction, or create meaningful plans for the future.
People leaving prison after 10 years will have different needs to those leaving after 10 months. The world has changed – there are different habits and new social norms. Prices have gone up, technology has evolved, neighbourhoods look different, and the workplace has changed. It takes time to adjust.

The Role:
The Hardman Trust is at an exciting point in its development as it celebrates the arrival of its new team, the realisation of its first ever organisational strategy and looks forward to the next phase of its journey.
Our successful multi-year applications to the Lottery (Reaching Communities), City Bridge Trust and Bromley Trust means we will continue to be part-funded by them until 2027. Deeply rooted in the criminal justice sector, we plan to develop further our programme of support for those on long sentences both within and, we hope, beyond prison too; we aim to extend the reach and deepen the impact of our support and grants; and attract new partnerships with funders and like-minded third sector organisations. Last year we completed a merger with another charity which has expanded our reach and capacity.

In this role, you'll be responsible for producing and delivering monthly management accounts, overseeing financial operations, and ensuring robust internal controls are in place. You'll also manage the year end audit, budgeting and forecasting and support procurement processes, while leading a dedicated finance team.

In this exciting yet challenging role as Trainer, you will train prison staff across London to understand the impact of sexual violence on male, boy, and non-binary prisoners, by raising awareness of sexual violence within prisons and equipping staff with the tools to respond appropriately. You will be establishing and strengthening referral pathways for survivors in London prisons, and gather key insights to inform future service provision and systemic change.

Turning Tides is a charity that supports people experiencing homelessness in West Sussex. While our central office is in Worthing, our work spans the county – from East Grinstead to Littlehampton and across areas in between. With over 20 accommodation projects, community hubs and outreach teams, we offer local single adults tailored support to move towards a more stable future. About the role

About A4ID

Advocates for International Development (A4ID) is a CSO with a vision to see the law and lawyers play their full part in the global eradication of poverty and advancement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). A4ID seeks to be an authoritative voice of the legal community, to inspire and enable lawyers to join the global fight against poverty, and to ensure that legal support is available for those engaged in that fight. Purpose of the Role

The role of the Project Officer – CSO Services will lead on the coordination and management of international pro bono legal opportunities.. A key focus of this role is to engage with CSOs globally, to scope potential partners and areas which require, or would benefit from, pro bono legal assistance. This will support A4ID’s weekly pro bono projects and larger strategic projects.

The Project Officer – CSO Services will also manage larger strategic projects, which will include maintaining records, gathering feedback, reporting on progress internally, collaborating with other teams in need of relevant expertise, drafting external comms, and implementing other internal administrative tasks as necessary (e.g. updating software and implementing process changes).

Larger strategic projects involve working with multiple stakeholders (including large international CSOs, smaller local CSOs, large international law firms, smaller local law firms, and other delivery partners and legal experts) to effectively and efficiently deploy pro bono legal services to support the missions of respective CSOs. The Project Officer – CSO Services will work as part of the wider PBLS team on such projects.

On smaller brokerage projects, the Project Officer – CSO Services will establish connections with CSOs, identify potential areas for support and provide an initial scope of potential projects.

We are recruiting a Senior Media and Communications Officer to join us and play a pivotal role in promoting Solace’s services and campaigning work to external audiences via the media and social media. The post holder will also support with internal communications, and hold oversight of communications volunteers. This role will ensure domestic abuse survivors, decision makers, supporters and future supporters understand the life-saving services we offer, our hard-hitting campaigns, Solace’s impact on women’s lives and our contribution to bringing about lasting change.
