The role will suit someone with strong written skills along with a good working knowledge of digital communications channels who is comfortable multi-tasking with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.

To succeed, you will be highly organised with an interest and passion for our cause, you will pay close attention to detail as standard, have a passion for identifying and developing stories that further the Settlement’s objectives, have excellent design and written communication skills with an ability to adapt your tone and voice to engage specific audiences.

As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Head of Finance will take responsibility for day-to-day financial management, monthly management accounts, financial reporting, and strategic financial support to Huddersfield Town Foundation staff and its Board of Trustees. About the role

We have recently become an independent charity and are recruiting our first Chief Executive to provide leadership, raise our profile and secure long-term sustainability. As CEO, you will:

• Act as a credible spokesperson for CTG with government, HMRC, charities and the media

• Lead on fundraising and income diversification to ensure financial sustainability
• Help establish a vision and operational plan for the future of CTG

The Role

The role reports to the Associate Director of Legal and Governance, with an independent reporting line to the Chair of the Finance Committee.

The role will provide a comprehensive programme of internal audits into the activities of our charity and will report to our Finance Committee with recommendations for improvement. This is a crucial role in safeguarding the charity’s assets and reputation.

Key responsibilities will include:

• To establish effective and robust operational and strategic Internal Audit plans for the Charity and to report on progress of the plan
• To carry out the Internal Audits within the Internal Audit Plan, within the agreed timetable and budget shown in the Plan, to report on them, to present them to Board and Committee meetings and to monitor progress.
• To liaise with externally sourced providers of internal audit services in support of the role and for conducting internal audits into specialist areas of activity of the charity (such as IT arrangements).
• To maintain a strong working relationship with the Finance Committee, its Chair and the Chief Executive and to act as a Business Partner to all Executive Directors in relation to internal audit.
• To contribute to the Charity’s efforts to avoid fraud, including by advising on new policies and to lead on fraud investigations where appropriate
• To ensure a joined-up approach to both the external and internal audit work, minimising duplication and feeding into the external audit risk assessment.
• To liaise effectively with colleagues to ensure any potential new financial systems have adequate consideration of internal controls.
• To keep up to date with Internal Audit practice and developments and advise the Charity in relation to internal audit matters.

About You

You will have:

• A qualification in internal audit or accounting (e.g. CIA, MIIA, AAT, ACCA, CIMA) as a minimum.
• A good knowledge of how charities operate and their main processes including Finance, HR, Fundraising and CRM systems.
• An in-depth knowledge of risk based internal auditing techniques, including testing and sampling methodologies.
• A good understanding of charity related compliance requirements, and appropriate counter-fraud measures and risk management processes
• An ability to act with authority and provide an independent voice on internal audit matters affecting the charity.

The Role

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will oversee all financial aspects of our UK and international operations. This is a critical role that ensures our financial stewardship is sound and our systems are effective.

We are looking for a fundraiser to lead, manage and deliver the fundraising strategy and activities of SBS. Develop relationships, networks and communication channels to advance the work and objectives of SBS across all types of existing and potential new supporters (e.g. individuals, churches & communities, major donors, trusts & foundations).  

You will be passionate about the transformational impact of the Bible and motivated to use your extensive fundraising experience to amplify stories from Scotland and around the world to resonate with a Scottish Christian audience. 

You will continue to cultivate and steward our relationships and partnerships with supporters.

You will have a talent for motivating others to do their best work, coaching them to work collaboratively across SBS.  

Faith requirement – to engage with existing and new SBS audiences, this role carries an occupational requirement that the post-holder is a Christian.  An understanding of the different Christian communities in Scotland and playing an active part in the spiritual life of the organisation is vital to this role. 

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all the fundraising activities of SBS, including management of the fundraising team.
• Develop and maintain a fundraising strategy in line with the overall strategy for SBS, this includes taking a lead in the forecasting and setting of fundraising targets.
• Take a lead in the recruitment and retainment of individual donors by developing and managing appropriate activities to expand the SBS donor base, exploring and implementing various methods to achieve this.
• Supervise the recruitment and retainment of support from churches and communities (including Action Groups) by developing relationships with them and ensuring they are equipped and encouraged to fundraise.
• Develop a major donor fundraising programme and manage long-term relationships.
• Help identify opportunities and support applications to charitable trusts, grant making bodies and companies, and assist in managing subsequent relationships with funding partners.

• Research, test and develop fundraising ideas and opportunities for income generation across all supporter types and all channels of communication.  Report on test results with a view to constantly evolving SBS tactics to meet objectives.
• Provide regular reporting on all fundraising activities, for Senior Staff and Board.  Provide up to date income levels by source, any associated expenditure and what the overall ROI is for SBS.  Be able to provide this as verbal updates and electronically - making comparisons against projections, historical performance and industry averages.
• Keep up to date and ensure SBS complies with fundraising legislation, standards and best practice including GDPR and PECR.
• Support SBS with detailed knowledge of the United Bible Societies (UBS) fellowship projects SBS support and provide a steer on what opportunities there are that would fit with the overall strategy for SBS.
• Set objectives for the Fundraising team in line with the fundraising strategy and overall strategy for SBS.
• Motivate and support staff in setting their personal objectives and managing their performance by providing encouragement, feedback and having regular 1-2-1s with them so they achieve their objectives and that of the team, department and overall SBS objectives.
• Fulfill line management responsibilities in line with policies and procedures for line managers at SBS (e.g. appraisals, holiday requests, absence monitoring, recruitment).

About you

• SBS believes that spiritual maturity, character and behaviour are just as important as fundraising competence, therefore you will be a devoted follower of Jesus with a passion for the Bible. You will be active in a local church that supports your vocation and provides spiritual support.
• Extensive experience (5+ years) in a senior fundraising or development position.
• Proven track record of leading fundraising strategy and campaigns for a charitable organisation, or a background in campaign management driving sales for a commercial organisation.
• Confidence in testing and optimising campaign activity and strategies through a robust, analytical methodology.
• Experience working for charitable organisations, or in international development or similar areas, interacting with a board of directors and with an understanding of charity reporting.
• Excellent planning and organisation skills, with the ability to manage projects and organise your own workload and that of direct line reports.
• Strong leadership and people management skills balanced with a willingness to listen and learn from others.  A genuine interest in developing people.
• A natural preference for collaboration and teamwork, able to interact and manage a wide range of stakeholders at different levels of seniority, sometimes in a cross-cultural context, to deliver the best possible outcome for the charity.

Endometriosis impacts the physical and mental health of 10% of women and those assigned female at birth, from puberty to menopause - although the impact may be felt for life. Yet it’s a disease most people have never heard of, do not understand and currently has no cure. It takes on average, almost nine years to receive a diagnosis in the UK, leaving many living in pain and without answers.

As the UK’s leading charity for all those affected by endometriosis, we’re determined to change this and ensure that everyone gets prompt diagnosis and the best treatment and support. We have big ambitions in our strategy, focused on raising awareness, better supporting those with endometriosis, driving down diagnosis times, and campaigning for improved treatments and access to services, all possible thanks to the incredible efforts and generosity of our supporters. Last year, almost 70% of our income was from public donations and fundraising, which is incredible. Endometriosis UK is looking for a highly motivated Fundraising Administrator to join our busy fundraising team and help support our growth. This will include working across Community Fundraising, Individual Giving, Trusts &Grants, and our Endometriosis Friendly Employer scheme, by providing administrative and logistical support. Whilst you will not need specific experience in all these areas, you will enjoy working with people, be organised, enthusiastic, and proactive, with a willingness to learn.

Young People Case Worker

We have a new role available for Case Workers to work as part of a team delivering an assessment, support and move on service to vulnerable clients in supported and community-based accommodation, based in Bishop Auckland and Tow Law County Durham.

About the Role

As Young People Case Worker you will work under the direction, guidance and support of a Service Manager and an Assistant Area Director, you will be responsible for a caseload of clients as well as share responsibility for the safety and wellbeing of all clients, volunteers and staff in the service.

The service consists of two hubs, 1 in Bishop Auckland and 1 in Tow Law and we have an Outreach service to 7 dispersed properties in Bishop Auckland. Your role will span all three areas for job rotation and continuity of service.

The team follow a 5-week shift pattern of 8-hour shifts between 0730 – 2200 hrs including weekends and bank holidays as one service is 24/7 and both sites have dedicated night staff.

Early shifts 0730-1530, Late shifts 1400-2200 and Main shifts 0900-1700/1000-1800 (Depending on hub)

The accommodation services are based in Bishop Auckland and Tow Law in County Durham. You will ensure that the accommodation is properly maintained and support the client to sustain their tenancy and participate in positive and successful move on. You will be responsible for a caseload of clients as well as shared responsibility for the safety and wellbeing of all clients, volunteers and staff in the service. This includes outreach support to clients in dispersed properties in the area.

The role does involve lone working.

Key responsibilities include:

· Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all clients, following safeguarding and emergency procedures as needed.

· Act as key worker for a caseload of clients, leading on risk and needs assessments and SMART, outcomes-based support plans.

· Provide personalised, flexible, and creative support, involving clients in decision-making and encouraging participation in activities.

· Collaborate with external agencies to support clients, adhering to data protection and information sharing protocols.

· Support clients to access Education, Training, Employment, and Volunteering opportunities aligned with their goals and aspirations.

· Contribute to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment, including preparing accommodation for new clients and supporting their transition.

· Assist in coordinating and supporting volunteers and promoting client involvement initiatives and residents' meetings.

· Maintain clear, accurate records and participate in team rotas, including evenings and weekends, carrying out additional duties as required.

About You

You will need to have the following skills and experience:

· Experience working with young people or those affected by homelessness.

· Understanding of the needs of individuals facing homelessness, mental health issues, substance misuse, or the care system.

· Knowledge of risk assessments, support planning, safeguarding, and health and safety procedures.

· Strong literacy, numeracy, IT skills, and commitment to diversity, equality, and professional integrity.

· Ability to maintain professional boundaries, work collaboratively, and reflect on practices for continuous development.

Caseworker - Mentor Supervisor

Hope After Harm is an established, registered charity dedicated to providing vital support services to those who are vulnerable or at risk of exclusion. We are committed to developing long-term solutions to the challenges posed by crime and social exclusion, influencing policy, and sharing best practices. With a proven track record of service delivery across Thames Valley and beyond, we support individuals impacted by crime, including victims, offenders, and their families.

We are currently looking for a passionate and dedicated Caseworker – Mentor Supervisor to join our New Leaf Young People Mentoring Project. This three-year initiative, funded by the Big Lottery, focuses on improving the life chances, personal resilience, and wellbeing of young people at risk of engaging with the criminal justice system through mentoring support delivered by our wonderful volunteer mentors. Additionally, the project incorporates restorative justice elements, delivering RJ interventions in a school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage referrals by liaising with referrers and conducting needs assessments using the Outcome Star tool.
• Provide mentoring support to young people for up to 12 weeks, facilitating the development of individual action plans.
• Match younger individuals with suitable volunteer mentors based on their unique needs.
• Supervise and support volunteer mentors through regular six-weekly supervision meetings, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
• Assist in the recruitment and training of volunteer mentors while actively promoting the benefits of the project to the local business community and potential referrers.
• Monitor and review mentor-mentee relationships and action plans regularly to ensure progress.
• Maintain effective record-keeping and administration tasks related to case management.

We’re looking for a caring, motivated and hands-on Community Worker to join our team. You’ll help run our Soup Kitchen sessions at St Peter’s Church in Blackpool’s South Shore, making sure food preparation, service and cleanup run smoothly. You’ll also provide support to people and families facing difficulties such as homelessness, addiction, debt, housing insecurity, mental ill-health or domestic violence. The role includes gathering feedback from attendees, working with volunteers, and building links with local schools, councillors, faith and community groups.
