Job description

Pricing Analyst

Our client is a professional body, a membership organisation and an international publisher with the goal of advancing excellence in the chemical sciences. With over 550 employees, based in Cambridge, London and internationally, they do this by publishing high quality chemistry journals, books and magazines, by engaging with their members and by interacting with their community to raise the profile of chemistry and ensuring high quality standards within the chemical sciences.

Position: Pricing Analyst
Location: Cambridge (commutable from Alconbury, Bedford, Bury St Edmunds, Cambridgeshire, Cambridge North, Cherry Hinton, Chesterton, Ely, Fen Drayton, Fenstanton, Histon & Impington, Hitchin, Huntingdon, Longstanton, Milton, Newmarket, Northstowe, Oakington, Orchard-Park, Royston, Saffron Walden, Somersham, St Ives, St Neots, Stevenage, Swavesey, Waterbeach, Wyton and surrounding areas)
Job type: Full Time, Temporary
Hours: 35 hours per week
Salary: £30,375 - £33,750 per annum plus benefit

About the role:

The Pricing Analyst will contribute to the development and implementation of their pricing models and policies for their publishing products and services by providing analysis of data and insight. The role holder will translate data and market research into recommendations for the development of new pricing models and implementation policies.

You will assess data from a variety of sources and use it to derive insights into pricing strategies and market trends; to determine more effective ways to reach customers in support of their Publishing Strategy.

To be successful in this role you will work collaboratively across the organisation with product owners, sales and marketing colleagues to provide insight on the development of new pricing models; to prepare analyses that show the potential impact of various pricing strategies, to support decision-making for new pricing models and their implementation

You’ll translate complex data into actionable plans and techniques to inform sales and marketing strategies; to assist in the preparation of reports / presentations for the Pricing Steering Group, Leadership Team and Governance.
