This role offers a senior position within the fundraising leadership team, a collaborative culture, and the opportunity to shape and expand Acorns’ work with major donors and trusts. As Head of Philanthropy, you will:

• Oversee the pipeline for all philanthropic income streams, ensuring regular prospect research and systematic cultivation
• Co-canvass with the CEO and Director of Income Generation, who are both actively engaged in major donor stewardship
• Oversee the restricted income process, ensuring full cost recovery and compelling propositions
• Play a key role on the Care Committee and as part of the fundraising leadership team
• Lead on governance and processes for philanthropic boards and high-value appeals, including the upcoming appeal
• Represent Acorns externally, building credibility and long-term relationships with senior supporters and funders

• Strong track record in major donor fundraising from HNWIs, ideally including six-figure gifts
• Trusts and foundations experience, including restricted income and bid processes
• Skills in pipeline management, with strong control of the cultivation cycle and ability to use CRM insight to drive action

We are recruiting a Challenge Events Fundraiser to grow PAPYRUS’ challenge event income by leading on allocated PAPYRUS own events, projects and campaigns and managing all third-party challenge events.

What you will do:

• Develop an events plan that will grow income using data from previous years to understand our supporters and build a creative and sustainable income plan for long term growth.
• Build and manage relationships with supporters across all communication channels and provide professional, relevant, timely and empathetic stewardship at all times.
• Raise awareness of PAPYRUS and its work by developing and delivering presentations and talks both online and face to face to supporters and facilitating necessary photo opportunities in line with GDPR for use if future promotional activity
• Manage costs and budgets for events, including forecasting, estimates and future year planning.
• Be proactive seeking out new initiatives and market trends in fundraising across the UK charitable sector.
• Participate in the development, implementation, and maintenance of PAPYRUS challenge event fundraising assets, collateral, materials, and policies and procedures ensuring all content is on brand and to a high standard.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Previous experience of working in a fundraising role for a UK registered charity
• Experience of successfully managing a portfolio of third-party events
• Proven track record of successful relationship management with donors/ fundraisers 
• Proven track record of working effectively in a team
• Experience in creating and monitoring budgets
• Experience using Raiser’s edge or a similar CRM database.
• Knowledge of regulatory environment for fundraising from events fundraising including sponsorship, data protection, Gift Aid (incl GASDS) and Fundraising Codes of Practice and regulation
• Good knowledge of data selection, data analysis, insight and application of datasets for maximum success
• Understanding of events fundraising
• Competence in the use of IT tools including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

The role

The Commonwealth Sustainable Cities Coalition (CSCC) is a transformative, multi-level, multi-sector coalition designed to address the intersecting challenges of rapid urbanisation and climate change across the Commonwealth. The CSCC is a collaboration between the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU), the Commonwealth Association of Architects (CAA), the Commonwealth Association of Planners (CAP), the Commonwealth Engineers’ Council (CEC), and the Commonwealth Local Government Forum (CLGF), working with The King’s Foundation (KF).

The CSCC Programme Manager will set up and oversee the CSCC Secretariat function, coordinate governance structures, and, in collaboration with the ACU Senior Policy and Networks Manager, lead the delivery of a cross-cutting skills agenda through the ACU’s newly launched Expert Group model. The role will also support CSCC partners in establishing three transdisciplinary Action Groups - focused on housing, integrated planning, and urban finance - and support delivery of three National Dialogues in selected Commonwealth countries. This role offers a unique opportunity to help establish the CSCC, a platform that will shape policy, strengthen capacity, and mobilise higher education expertise to support sustainable urban development across the Commonwealth.

The Role

As Chief Financial Officer, you will lead the financial strategy and operations of LTM, ensuring robust financial management, governance, and performance. This is a pivotal role on the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), reporting directly to the Director and attending all Board meetings. You will also deputise for the Director when required.

This role goes beyond traditional finance leadership. You will be a moderniser—driving transformation, leading negotiations, overseeing broader business support functions, and contribute to LTM50, including capital programme oversight. You will be the face of financial and business systems at LTM, helping to deliver a future-fit museum aligned with our strategic vision.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and management of LTM’s overall budget, ensuring financial sustainability across short, medium, and long-term goals
• Oversee all aspects of financial control, governance, reporting, and compliance with statutory, charity, and TfL requirements
• Deliver timely and accurate statutory accounts, budgets, forecasts, and management reports
• Lead business support functions and liaise with TfL departments including HR, Procurement, Reward, Tech and Data and Finance
• Provide strategic financial advice to the Board of Trustees, SLT, and wider teams
• Represent LTM in financial negotiations with external partners and suppliers
• Champion a high-performing, inclusive finance team—setting clear goals, recognising success, and modelling LTM’s values
• Collaborate closely with TfL Finance to ensure alignment and efficiency
• Ensure all financial and legal obligations are met and policies are up to date and followed

The successful candidate will be a fully qualified accountant with a proven track record in senior finance leadership roles within complex organisations, and will be able to demonstrate:

• Experience at Board level and ability to work in collaboration with Trustees and colleagues;
• Understanding and experience of strategic risk management, finance audit and internal controls;
• Broad operational knowledge including digital transformation, estates, and HR;
• Experience navigating challenging financial climates and driving efficiencies.

Projects you work on may include:

• Deliver annual series of leadership visits to Corporate Partners organisations to explore interests and common priorities around skills, R&D, infrastructure and business support

 We’re looking for a dynamic Head of Social Enterprise to help shape the future of University of Wolverhampton Students’ Union.

Join Mencap as our Finance Lead – Fundraising & Communications, Advocacy and Activism (CAA) and play a pivotal role in maximising the impact of our fundraising and advocacy work.

About the Role

As part of our collaborative Finance Business Partnering team, you’ll support fundraising, communications, advocacy, and activism across Mencap. You’ll provide clear financial advice, insightful analysis, and strong financial management to ensure our fundraising income is used effectively to benefit people with learning disabilities.

Over the next five years Mencap have big ambitions to significantly grow our fundraising income and increase our influencing and campaigning impact to ensure people with a learning disability can live life to the full.

This role is a full time permanent position. There is flexibility around where the role is based. We have large offices in London and Peterborough and smaller offices located throughout the UK.

You will need to travel occasionally for meetings. However, this role will primarily be working remotely.

Key responsibilities include:

• Partnering with directorate teams to create robust budgets and forecasts, offering support and advice for realistic financial planning.
• Providing clear financial reports and analysis to help teams understand results, spot emerging issues, and make informed decisions.
• Supporting complex income forecasting (e.g. legacies), using scenario analysis to guide planning and assess risk.

Job purpose
The Place-based Food Systems Manager will play a leading role in the development of The Food Foundation’s local policy and project work in 3 interconnected ways:

1.  Stimulating and supporting leadership in regions, cities, local authority areas and anchor institutions to take action to improve local access to affordable, healthy and sustainable food
2. Identifying the policy and food business levers which enable the emergence of more resilient local food systems which improve access to affordable, healthy and sustainable food in local communities
3. Advocating for national and local policy changes which enable local leadership and new food systems to become more rapidly established.

In the first instance, you will play a leading role in our place-based work in Kent and Birmingham, in particular focused on improving the health and sustainability of menus and business offerings through the promotion of beans, pulses and legumes. You will work closely with Birmingham City Council and The University of Kent, as well as local leaders, partners,
local authorities, policymakers and businesses. You will work closely with academic partners on UKRI funded research projects that support place-based interventions and local authorities in creating healthier more sustainable local food systems.

The successful candidate will also play a key role in our nationally focused policy and advocacy on healthy and sustainable diets, supporting a team working on public sector procurement, production (horticulture) and other food policy areas that intersect health, sustainability and climate. This will involve engagement with relevant DEFRA teams, as well as other NGOs
working in the sustainable diet space.

The role will work across both the Policy and Food Business Transformation teams at The Food Foundation, as well as on the health and sustainability policy asks across the organisation. The unique placement of the role, working on place based initiatives as well as with national policy and businesses, will help to bridge the gap and identify areas of synergy between national and local policy, and between national and local policymakers, as well as the role and opportunity
for food businesses in this area.This is a new role in an exciting new team at the Food Foundation, with scope to work with us in shaping the role’s priorities in the coming months.

We are looking for two Funding Officers to join the enthusiastic, friendly North West Region.

• Role one: One Full Time Funding Officer, based in the Greater Manchester team
• Role two: One Full Time Funding Officer, based in the Lancashire team. 

You will play a major role in ensuring our funding supports a wide variety of communities and places across Greater Manchester/Lancashire and the North West region.

As a member of the funding team you will assess applications for funding and manage grants from our Reaching Communities and Partnerships programmes. You will use your local knowledge and experience, and the experience of our grant holders and local stakeholders, to ensure we are making the best decisions on the grants we make. By working closely with people and communities from a defined geographical area, you will understand what matters to them and where our funding can make the biggest difference.

In your role you will work within the Fund’s policies and procedures and the necessary legislation, in line with our vision and principles.  You will gain an understanding of our vision, our commitment to equity and inclusion and our funding programmes. 

The role is varied and will require you to: 

• Be responsible for your own caseload: visiting projects, liaising with grant recipients, identify and manage risks and supporting organisations to delivery their projects and measure their impact.
• Understand and respond to the different needs of our applicants and grant holders by providing advice and feedback and be willing to have challenging but constructive conversations.
• Represent the Fund within your local area, at funding fairs and external meetings and create opportunities for people to come together.
• Share learning from your conversations, events, grant holder reports and evaluations to support the Fund in maximining our impact as a grant maker. 

Working from home, our Manchester office and community locations, the successful candidate will live in Greater Manchester/Lancashire and will be part of the local team, led by Funding Managers, and comprised of several other Funding Officers.  Travel across the region will be required.

The Role:

Working with colleagues across communications, marketing and services, you’ll create professional, pitch-ready presentations and proposals that inspire companies to partner with us – and then deliver those pitches at a senior level, with confidence and clarity.

Key responsibilities:

· Research, Identify and approach new corporate prospects, building a strong pipeline of potential six-figure partners

· Lead on creating bespoke, compelling pitch decks and proposals, working with the communications and Marketing Team to ensure quality and impact.

· Deliver high-level presentations and pitches to senior stakeholders across a range of industries.

· Work with the Director of Fundraising to identify and engage major donors and key contacts who can help unlock introductions and strategic support

· Manage Senior Officer who leads on existing mid-level corporate partnerships.

· Support the growth of the mid-level portfolio and ensure excellent stewardship and reporting for all corporate partners.

· Collaborate with marketing, communications, and service delivery teams to ensure partnerships are meaningful, on-brand, and mutually beneficial.

· Monitor income and pipeline progress, ensuring accurate forecasting and tracking.

What we’re looking for:

· A track record of securing new business or corporate partnerships, ideally in a fundraising CSR setting

· Confident writing and presenting skills, with experience creating professional pitch decks and delivering high-level presentations

· A strategic thinker who can spot opportunities, plan a compelling approach, and close the deal

· Experience collaborating across teams (e.g. Marketing design, service delivery) to shape proposals and deliver joint objectives

Title: Human Resources Lead.

Reports to: Head of Operations.

Responsible for: No direct reports at this time.

Employer: Norfolk Rivers Trust (NRT).

Location: Office at Bayfield near Holt with opportunity for flexible working. However, it is important that the role holder is able to build culture and employee experience and be demonstrably participative in office life and organisational culture development. Visits across Norfolk and surrounding catchments with mileage expenses £0.45 per mile.

Job term:  This is a permanent 0.6 FTE position. The appointment is subject to a six-month probationary period.

Hours of work: 22.5 hours over a minimum of three days between Monday and Friday. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required, for which time off in lieu can be taken. No overtime will be paid.

Annual leave entitlement: 25 days plus public holidays (pro rata for part time).

Salary: £36,874.00 - £41,019.00 (0.6 FTE) dependant on experience.

Pension: NRT offers a contributory pension scheme and will pay 9% of salary subject to 6% employee contribution.

About the HR Lead role

As Norfolk Rivers Trust’s first dedicated HR professional, the HR Lead will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing effective people practices that align with the organisation’s culture, values, and strategic objectives. Collaborating closely with the Senior Management Team and Line Managers, the HR Lead will offer expert guidance and operational support across the entire employee lifecycle.

This standalone, hands-on position requires a proactive self-starter who is confident in establishing new processes and adaptable to the needs of a small but growing organisation. The role is diverse and dynamic, ranging from advising managers on complex employee matters, enhancing recruitment practices, updating policies, to leading wellbeing initiatives.

Above all, the HR Lead will be instrumental in nurturing the Trust’s positive, values-driven culture, making it an exceptional place to work. Acting as the central point of contact for all people related matters, the HR Lead will also support the Senior Management Team in developing and delivering a long-term people strategy.

Although standalone, access to an external professional HR sounding board, HR advice and link to employment law advice will be available.

Key duties and responsibilities

HR Policy and Compliance

• Develop, implement, monitor and maintain HR policies and procedures ensuring they comply with employment legislation and reflect best practice. 

• Ensure policies are communicated clearly and are accessible to all staff. 

• Regularly review policies to ensure alignment with the culture and strategic direction of the Trust. 

Employee Relations

• Provide guidance to managers on a range of employee relations matters including absence management, performance concerns, disciplinary and grievance processes, flexible working, and annual leave. 

• Ensure processes are legally compliant, fair, and consistent.

• Coordinate complex or sensitive employee relations casework in collaboration with line managers and external advisors where appropriate.

Line Manager Support

• Act as a key advisor to line managers, providing coaching, tools and resources to help them manage their teams effectively.

• Deliver training and guidance on key HR topics (e.g. performance management, recruitment best practice, probation and employee wellbeing).

Recruitment and Onboarding

• Manage the recruitment process, reviewing job descriptions, advertising vacancies, shortlisting applications, overseeing interview process.

• Ensure inclusive and equitable recruitment practices are followed. 

• Manage new starter onboarding, ensuring new starters have a positive and structured induction experience.

Employee Lifecycle Administration

• Oversee all HR administration, including issuing contracts, processing changes to employment and managing leavers. 

• Maintain accurate and up to date HR records and use NRT’s HR database to ensure compliance with data protection and GDPR requirements.

Performance and Development

• Coordinate the performance review process (including appraisal, probation and the annual staff survey), providing support to managers to ensure a consistent approach. 

• Develop and support the implementation of learning and development policy and initiatives, including career development plans and staff skills audits.

Systems and Payroll

· Implement and maintain a HR management system.

• Liaise with the Finance team to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, including salary changes, benefits and statutory deductions to administer payroll and payroll records.

 HR Data and Reporting

• Produce HR data and reports (e.g. staff turnover, absence, diversity data) to feed into the management team and use data to make recommendations regarding future practice.

• Use HR data to identify trends and make recommendations for improving people management practices. 

Strategic HR Support

• Participate in the implementation of specific projects, procedures, and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the organisation (e.g. workforce planning, reward, and staff engagement). 

• Promote and drive delivery of the Trust’s equity, diversity, and inclusion priorities, through advice monitoring and collaboration. 

• Work with Senior Management Team to contribute to and drive HR strategy development and implementation, including reward strategy, recruitment and selection strategies, talent and succession planning, alignment between HR strategy and business goals, supporting change management processes.

Health, Safety and Wellbeing

• Collaborate with designated health and safety leads to develop and implement systems and procedures to create a safe working environment, drawing on specialist advice as appropriate.

• Ensure HR-related policies and processes reflect the organisation’s duty of care to staff, including wellbeing initiatives and support systems.
