Main responsibilities
- You will build on the excellent foundations laid by the outgoing Community Fundraiser to raise our profile amongst our neighbours and with local organisations
- You will proactively recruit new supporters, build our individual supporter base and develop regular stewardship and communications
- You will offer high-quality relationship management and donor care to supporters including providing fundraising materials, encouragement and support to maximise their fundraising potential, as well as ensuring donors are recognised and thanked for their contribution
- You will develop and deliver fundraising operational plans, ensure good fundraising practice and messaging is embedded throughout the entire organisation.

Job Title
· Deputy Centre Manager (The Junction Youth Centre, High Wycombe)
Position in the Organisation
· Reports To: Centre Manager
· Responsible For: Youth Workers and freelance staff
· Working hours: The centre is open 7 days a week 4-9pm. Working hours are 1:45-9pm on a two-week rotation (4 days one week and 6 the following). This post includes regular weekend work.
· Working With: Other members of the Action4Youth team including the High Wycombe Mentor, other programme staff, schools, key partners including other local youth organisations, Buckinghamshire Council, Thames Valley Police and many more.
Main Purpose and Scope of the Role
This role will assist with the day-to-day management of the centre and lead a small team of staff, including Youth Workers and some freelancers. The Deputy Centre Manager will be working in partnership with the Centre Manager to ensure the safe running of the centre and to deliver youth work directly. This role will liaise closely with the Centre Manager in order to make sure youth provision is effective and inclusive for all young people.
This role will be based in a multi service drop-in centre in High Wycombe for young people aged 12 – 18 years (up to 25 with SEND). The service will offer a range of sessions and activities all under one roof, seven days a week, and provides specialist support to those who are vulnerable.
The centre provides support in the following areas;
1. Crisis support; a drop-in service operating seven days a week where young people can come in and access specialist support and signposting in the below areas from trained staff.
· Homelessness
· Sexual health/unplanned pregnancy/sexual identity
· Family breakdown
· Crime
· Violence
· Bullying
· Substance misuse
· Relationship breakdown
2. A programme of mentoring to support young people on a 1:1 basis.
3. Health and wellbeing; a timetable of weekly activities focussing on positive mental and physical wellbeing.
· Nutrition and cooking - A weekly ‘cook along’ session will be available for young people to participate in where they learn the basics of cooking healthy and cheap meals.
· A timetable of fitness sessions including boxing and MMA sessions.
· A fortnightly mental wellbeing session which will focus on topics such as positive body image, social media, mental resilience, stress management, positive relationships etc.
4. A Youth Space for socialising and leisure activities;

· Weekly homework/ study club providing a quiet space where young people can get support on any schoolwork

Duties and Key Responsibilities
- Register young people on arrival at the centre
- Keep the centre clean and tidy and be responsible for opening/ locking up the centre
- Assist with the overall smooth running of the centre and all its activity strands
- Work closely with library staff, Eden security and other key partners
- Be the lead staff member, running the Youth Centre, when the Centre Manager is not on shift
- Attend Action4Youth team meetings (sometimes outside of working hours) and be a positive link between The Junction and the other Action4Youth sites
- Communicate effectively with all core staff, freelancers and partners to ensure the centre is running safely and effectively and always be a positive role model
- Assess the needs of young people to correctly plan and deliver sessions related to areas such as health, fitness, smoking, drugs, gangs, violence, relationships and bullying
- Set up and run regular group youth work sessions in line with the key areas listed above
- Develop a positive rapport with young people based on respect and trust, ensuring the youth centre is a safe and welcoming place

We are seeking to appoint someone on a 12-month fixed term contract as maternity cover, to join our Grants Team in delivering The Ideas Fund, an exciting programme which looks to connect communities with researchers in order to develop and try out ideas related to mental wellbeing. The Fund is delivered in four areas of the UK – Oldham, Hull, the Highlands and Islands of Scotland, and North West Northern Ireland, although this role can be remote, based anywhere in the UK.
With support from the Head of Grants, we expect that you will have lead responsibility for our work in two of these areas, building strong relationships with our Development Co-ordinators and contributing to the successful delivery of the overall programme. You will oversee the support for grant holders to learn from what is working and feed this learning into our overall approach with the Fund, as well as sharing insights externally. MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
As a key member of the leadership team, the Head of Operations (HOO) plays a vital role in the development and delivery of Cockpit’s strategic plan, working closely with the Chief Executive. The HOO will ensure operational excellence, site optimisation in Bloomsbury and Deptford and lead on property strategy. The role encompasses oversight of the maker community, management of IT systems, leading on HR and responsibility for health and safety compliance.
This role would suit an entrepreneurial self-starter with demonstrable experience in property and building management, project management, budget and fiscal control, HR and team management. Knowledge of planning, business and charity financing, leasehold and landlord-tenant legislation is desirable. The role requires strong negotiation skills and the ability to exert influence and maintain critical relationships. It requires a keen focus on delivery and detail as well as the ability to retain big picture perspectives. Exemplary communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential.
MAIN DUTIES:
1 PROPERTY AND BUILDING MANAGEMENT
Cockpit has two sites in Deptford and Bloomsbury. At each site, a Studio Manager has responsibility for the day-to-day running of the sites and liaison with makers. The Studio Managers will report to the HOO who will coordinate, plan and/or oversee all the practical management of the buildings including repairs and maintenance; alterations and refurbishments; space allocations and use of space; health and safety; tenant/maker welfare/support etc.
The HOO will manage the Studio complexes to ensure they meet the requirements of the charity and resident makers while ensuring commercial optimisation.
The HOO will ensure efficient use of space and consider charitable and commercial objectives when setting prices and rates to ensure a balanced outcome. The HOO is responsible for ensuring compliance on all aspects of Health and Safety, insurance and risk assessment.
The HOO is responsible for project managing all future real estate projects from inception to completion. They will ensure that sufficient resources, budgets and expertise are in place for such projects. The HOO will sit on Cockpit’s Property Committee.
2 LEASES, INSURANCE, LEGAL, RATES AND LA
With oversight from the CEO and Board, and relevant legal advice, the HOO will manage leasehold negotiations with Cockpit’s landlord, Camden Council. The HOO will report on such matters to the Property committee of the Board.
Working with the CEO, the HOO will manage licences issued to studio holders developing pricing structures and documentation that reflect Cockpits charitable aims and commercial objectives.
Working with the CEO, the HOO will set hire rates, rentals and other pricing related to Cockpits spaces and services in line with Cockpit’s charitable aims and commercial objectives. They will be responsible for issuing associated contracts and licences.
The HOO will oversee all insurance requirements and ensure that terms required are met. The HOO will oversee legal compliance issues in collaboration with the CEO and as directed.
The HOO will maintain good relationships with Local Authorities and be responsible for monitoring and overseeing all rates or other levies in relation to the buildings or the charity itself.
3 COMMERCIAL EVOLUTION AND PROJECTS
The HOO will take an active leadership role in developing and delivering commercial opportunities for the charity in line with its charitable objectives and the strategic plan. The HOO will lead on the strategy for development of space and venue hire, tours, better utilisation of space, and AV studio hire. The HOO will evaluate commercial opportunities/risks and will manage the delivery and ultimate running of such spaces.
The HOO will also oversee the successful delivery and oversight of the cafe operator in Deptford.
4 LIVE EVENTS
The HOO will actively contribute to the creative development of Cockpit events, including but not limited to Open Studios. They will be responsible for the operational planning and timely delivery of the events including budget management. The Event Manager and Events Coordinator will report into the HOO on all relevant events.
The HOO will be responsible for ensuring there is clear post event reporting from all departments, and that this is tracked year on year to ensure it informs future strategy, budgets and investment.
5 YOUTH AND COMMUNITY
Working with the CEO, HOO is responsible for overseeing Cockpit’s Youth and Community activities. They will be responsible for the recruitment and management of the producer, as well as overseeing budgets. The HOO will oversee the programming of any Youth & Community activities across the year and ensure these are aligned to the charities objectives and are properly funded. They will work closely with the Head of Development and Youth and Community Producer to ensure Cockpit targets the correct funding bids and works with the correct partners to deliver impactful programmes in a cost-effective manner.
6 IT and DATA MANAGEMENT
The HOO is responsible for managing Cockpit’s external IT consultant to ensure that all hardware and software bought and used by the charity is up-to-date, efficient, cost effective, secure and suitable for the charity’s activities.
The HOO is responsible for overseeing all software and digital upgrades including but not limited to the charity’s CRM, cloud-based services and future automation.
7 DATA AND GDPR
The HOO will play a central role in the planning and correct implementation of any data programme for Cockpit. This will be in close collaboration with the Head of Marketing and Digital and the CEO.
The HOO is responsible for GDPR for Cockpit and will take on responsibility for compliance and other copyright or legal practices in relation to safe data management, firewall implementation, working closely with the Head of Marketing and Digital on these matters.
8 COMPLIANCE, RISK REGISTER, HANDBOOKS, HR
The HOO has line management responsibility for the Deptford and Bloomsbury Studio Managers, Events and Venue Coordinator, Event Manager, Youth and Community Producer and overall responsibility for Cockpit’s HR function.
The HOO will take responsibility for ensuring compliant staff practices in relation to up-to-date staff contracts, health and safety, maternity and all other relevant HR matters. In association with the CEO and Financial Controller, the HOO will manage and record annual leave.
The HOO will work with the Studio Managers to ensure good Maker welfare and be responsible for policies that result in positive outcomes in relation to the Cockpit community.
The HOO will liaise with the CEO and advise on risks in the HR area and will sit on the People Committee of Cockpit.
The HOO will evaluate when HR risk requires external advice and will agree any necessary actions with CEO.
The HOO will be responsible for the Staff Handbook, The Trustee Handbook, Maker Welcome Pack/Handbooks and all relevant compliance materials for updating and circulation, including all company policies.
Working with the CEO, the HOO will manage the Risk Register and update the Board in a timely manner on any pertinent and impending changes to that with the potential to impact the charity. The HOO will be a member of the Finance, Audit and Risk Committee (FARCo) of Cockpit.
The HOO will take on responsibility for recruitment practices and onboarding activities for new employees, contractors and trustees.
The HOO will oversee the performance review process, coordinate staff training and be responsible for the training budget.
9 DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION
In conjunction with the CEO, the HOO will oversee and implement policies that foster and reflect the charity’s commitment to diversity and inclusion. This may include managing new and existing initiatives, updating policies and undertaking formal reviews. The HOO will champion Cockpit’s diversity objectives at the Board’s People Committee (PeCo).
10 COMMITTEES AND BOARD
The HOO will provide a support role to the CEO on preparation of Board papers and reports. The HOO will coordinate committee meeting dates and circulate them to the members appropriately, with administrative support. The HOO will oversee the minutes for all meetings, working with an external minute taker. The HOO may maintain activity lists and will work with the CEO and the Board of Trustees to ensure exceptional Governance.

We are a not-for-profit animal welfare organisation which campaigns for the humane treatment of decapod crustaceans such as lobsters, crabs, prawns, and langoustines, based on the scientific evidence of their sentience. Purpose
Reporting to the CEO, the Fundraising Support Manager will support the Fundraising Manager in the fundraising efforts of Crustacean Compassion. This will be role building on two specific areas of work already undertaken, specifically reviewing, and supporting major donors’ proposals, and developing the supporter journey and engagement process.
The applicant will need to have an active knowledge and warm contacts with potential funders, be able to prepare and create proposals immediately as well as use CRM or external screening sources to identify and communicate with potential major donors. They will have expertise across a variety of revenue streams and will have the support of our Campaigns team to develop engaging funding bids designed to create a supporter journey and long-term engagement.
This role will require a substantial amount of proactive independent working, along with close teamwork.
Responsibilities
Priority will be given to applicants with skills to work quickly and actively in the above primary areas achieving set income targets, developing ways to maximise unrestricted income.
General Duties
- Implement the execution of the fundraising strategy to lead income streams, delivering growth in restricted and unrestricted income whilst engaging supporter journeys to active givers.
- Work effectively with our Fundraising Manager and CEO to identify, map, and develop a network of potential donors, and unlock opportunities which can help secure the future of Crustacean Compassion and aid it to deliver its mission.
- Ensure all fundraising initiatives are planned, delivered, monitored, and evaluated effectively as part of a quarterly activity plan recognising external funding cycles.

Working Arrangements and Travel Requirements
Rainforest Trust UK staff work remotely and you will be expected to work primarily from home with an excellent internet connection. You may be based anywhere in the UK but you will be expected to work from a shared team space in London once a month, and your donor meetings/events are most likely to take place there.
The postholder will be required to host networking events and attend some online meetings with our partners in the U.S so some (early) evening working is required. We are also flexible as to how many hours this postholder works, and will consider a 3-5 day per week arrangement, depending on experience.

About the role
We have a new and exciting opportunity to work with us as an Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Manager (External) to provide continuity while our EDI Strategy Lead is on maternity leave. Reporting to the Executive Director, Impact and working with key stakeholders and colleagues across the whole organisation, you will help ensure alignment between our external For Everyone Strategic Framework and our new organisational strategy. We are seeking an Operations Manager to join the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) at our Head Office in Heaton Moor, Stockport. The post holder will be responsible for managing and developing the Charity’s service provision and ensuring compliance with CQC regulations. You will be expected to provide strong leadership and management to the service managers (residential and day opportunities) so that they are effectively developed and organised and operate as an effective management team to ensure operational reliability, consistency, and affordability for those we support.
You will contribute to the Charity’s strategic planning, governance and lead on quality improvement and financial and performance management of operational services and will also have responsibility for the achievement of key objectives within the Charity’s Strategy and Business Plan in conjunction with the Chief Executive, Deputy Chief Executive and Service Manager roles.
Do you have what we are looking for?
Applicants must have the following qualifications and experience (further requirements are contained within the job description):
· A level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification or a willingness to work towards
· Management experience in the health and social care sector
· Experience of working as part of a Senior Management structure within health and social care or working with and reporting into a senior management team and board of trustees
· Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of regulation and legislation in relation to the children and adult disability sector.
· A good understanding of CQC and the ability and experience to ensure service provisions meet the required standards to achieve a “good” rating at the very least.
· Experience in implementing and/or adhering to Quality Assurance frameworks and an understanding of the importance of these in supporting and positively impacting good quality service provision

With a current membership of over 11,000 the ISM is known for its campaigning work as well as services to musicians ranging from legal support and representation to counselling and professional development.
The ISM is now looking for a Knowledge Hub & Resources Manager who will create, manage and deliver the ISM Group’s resources and professional development offering across a range of platforms including digital and print. This is a key part of what the ISM offers to its members and the wider music sector and it is vital that resources are relevant and of the highest quality. You will be an excellent writer and a brilliant communicator of sometimes complex information with a lively interest in all things which affect the lives of musicians. You will have a positive attitude, a keen attention to detail and the ability to handle competing deadlines.
You will be joining a professional staff team who are based in Bayswater, London. The role is four days per week of which at least two will be in the office.
