We are looking for two Senior Finance Business Partners to join our Finance and Commercial team on a full time, permanent basis.

Your focus will be to deliver strong and effective financial management within your designated Directorate at RBL. You will provide senior financial and commercial support, analysis, challenge and advice to enable decision making on a sound financial basis. Developing trusted relationships with the senior management team and budget holders to ensure financial projections, budgets, forecasts, and business cases are robust and aligned with organisational strategy.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Working with the Executive Director, Directors, Heads of Departments and budget holders to support the preparation of long-term strategic plans, annual budgets and quarterly reforecasts
- Taking a lead role to ensure that new projects are subject to effective financial planning and commercial control, influence budget holders and provide technical and strategic insight in order to achieve the Directorates’ overall objectives
- Review and challenge draft budgets and forecasts to ensure submissions are complete, accurate, deliver value for money and remain within overall financial framework targets
- To lead the review of the monthly management reports and ensure comprehensive and insightful analysis and commentary on key variances
- Attend monthly management meetings to present consolidated and departmental monthly financial results, drawing out major financial trends and issues.

The Upper Room (TUR) works with a wide range of financially and socially disadvantaged groups including homeless people, people with long-term mental health conditions, asylum-seekers, refugees and ex-offenders – helping them to improve their lives and become productive members of society. Central to our offering is our UR4Meals service, providing free, home-cooked food to people who cannot afford to provide for themselves. We are also very proud of our UR4Driving programme, which supports people recently out of prison with free driving lessons in exchange for community volunteering. Finance and Resources Manager (Full Time)
Advocacy After Fatal Domestic Abuse (AAFDA) was founded by Frank Mullane in memory of his sister Julia Pemberton and her son Will who were both killed by her ex-partner in 2003.
Each year, around 150 families lose a loved one to domestic homicide. The actual number of suicides as a result of domestic abuse remains unknown. AAFDA’s prime function is to provide families in England and Wales with specialist peer support and expert and specialist advocacy for the range of statutory reviews that will take place after domestic homicide.
As a growing charity, AAFDA is looking for an exceptional candidate to join our supportive team and lead our finance and resource management functions. The role will provide and manage the HR, administration and finance activities of the charity and sit within the Senior Leadership Team.

The Sentencing Academy, established in 2019, has made significant strides in advocating for effective sentencing practices and enhancing the understanding of sentencing among professionals and the public. Following successful funding we are excited to announce a new opportunity for a visionary leader to join us as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). This pivotal brand new role will oversee the strategic direction of the charity, strengthening future sustainability and marking a new chapter in its mission to promote evidenced-based approaches to sentencing to help reduce re-offending, provide justice to victims and improve public confidence.

About the Role
This key position offers the chance to shape and develop the future of the Sentencing Academy and its commitment to enhancing sentencing practices and research in England and Wales. It is a leadership opportunity that involves working closely with the senior team to execute a strategic plan that supports the charity's longevity. It is a role that not only focuses on organisational growth and influence but also emphasises the importance of operational compliance, financial health, and fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders and partners.
About You
We are seeking a passionate, and experienced leader with a proven track record in the non-profit or academic sector to join our team as CEO. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a comprehensive understanding of sentencing and/or the wider criminal justice system. Your background will include strategic planning, governance, and financial management, with a strong ability to secure funding through grants and partnerships.
You will inspire and lead a diverse team, with expertise to build and maintain strong relationships, and represent our organisation in public forums and the media. Additionally, you will have a proven track record in leading the production of research and/or policy publications. A commitment to Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) is essential, along with excellent organisational and IT skills. As a forward-thinking leader you will demonstrate strong analytical problem-solving skills, and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
What We Offer
The post is offered on a full time basis at 37.5 hours per week on a permanent basis. Part time hours of no less than 30 hours per week could be considered for the right candidate if required. An attractive package is offered alongside flexible hybrid working arrangements. The salary for a full time post at this level is £65,000.

About the Role:
This new position will drive our income generation efforts through various channels and initiatives. You will develop and implement business development strategies to attract financial support from individuals, corporations, foundations, and potential donors. The role will proactively engage with donors, build relationships, and cultivate partnerships to create and maximise income generation to support our mission and programmes.
What You'll Do:
Drive development of Urban Synergy’s presence in business FTSE 250 and others, through successful inbound and outbound prospect and client engagement.
Research and identify potential funding sources, including individuals, corporations, foundations, and grant opportunities to build a meaningful opportunity pipeline.
Create comprehensive fundraising strategies aligned with Urban Synergy’s organisational goals and mission.
Create, implement and manage fundraising campaigns and initiatives to maximise income generation.
Build and maintain relationships with existing and potential donors.
Develop donor cultivation plans, including personalised communications, events, and stewardship activities.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective donor engagement and recognition and explore new partnership opportunities.
Work closely with the Head of Programmes and Engagement and the Partnership Manager.
Identify relevant grant opportunities and draft compelling proposals ensuring timely their submission including reports, and related documentation.
Attend networking events, conferences, and community gatherings to expand the organisation's network and establish strategic partnerships.
Track and analyse income generation activities, prepare regular reports and revenue forecasts on fundraising progress, outcomes, and ROI.

Who we are looking for:
Someone with substantial and demonstrable experience of working with corporates within FTSE 250 and the commercial sector. This includes proactively acquiring new partnerships and maximising existing relationships, including how to access the decision makers.
Have excellent presentation and negotiating skills, representing the charity in a range of settings and to a range of audiences.
Be a self-starter with strong sales and influencing skills, Able to work independently in particular in developing corporate fundraising products and tools.
Degree in Business, nonprofit management, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Proven experience in income/revenue generation, fundraising, or new business sales, preferably within the nonprofit sector.
Strong knowledge of fundraising principles, techniques, and best practices.
Excellent communication, writing and interpersonal skills, displaying a commitment to excellence and careful attention to detail.
Target driven with an ability to think strategically and develop and implement compelling fundraising strategies.
Strong organisational and project management skills.
Proficiency in fundraising software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
