The role

As a Trainer at Avanti Homecare, you will be an integral part of the Head Office management team. You will be based in our Head Office in Long Eaton, but will be expected to travel between branches (Ilkeston and Ripley) to deliver training. This role is a full-time on-site position (37.5 hours) and we are looking for someone to start as soon as possible. This is predominantly an on-site position, however, there is the option to work from home occasionally when our training calendar allows.

Responsibilities:

• Providing high quality, engaging and informative training sessions both in the classroom or within the field

• Supporting with the onboarding and induction training of new staff members when required

• Adapt training to suit a wide range of learning styles and needs.

• Tracking all mandatory employee training and ensuring it’s up-to-date

• To maintain CPD and ensure all knowledge, training and qualifications are up to date and maintained in line with CQC requirements

• Fostering a positive and supportive working environment

• Taking on additional administrative duties to support other departments as and when required

You will have

Essential: 

• Two years experience in teaching, training or leading learning e.g. teacher, trainer or instructor.

• Experience making learning fun and informative using different learning techniques to suit various learning styles

• Excellent organisational and communication skills

• Full UK driving licence and own vehicle

Desirable:

• Experience or knowledge of Health & Social Care (we will provide sector training if you come from a teaching background).

• An accredited training qualification. For example, Level 3 Award in Education and Training (QCF) or equivalent

• An understanding of CQC inspection processes

Job Purpose

We are looking for a talented, dynamic, and professional Engagement Manager to join our team in Dumfries and Galloway, working specifically in the West of the region. The right candidate would be someone who can work flexibly and demonstrate an understanding and total commitment to our organisational values. 

As our Engagement Manager, you will directly support people aged 16+ who may have complex and challenging barriers to securing a positive pathway.  This will include barrier identification and removal, supporting pre volunteering activity as well as volunteering placements in their local area. 

You will identify, develop, and manage partnerships with charitable and not-for-profit organisations across the West of Dumfries and Galloway, building an effective presence within the third sector locally.  You will create diverse, high-quality, structured volunteering opportunities with charity partner organisations, ensuring that volunteering roles reflect the needs and interests of those we support. You will also support the creation of strong referral pathways into our service, and beyond it, building on a knowledge of existing provision

• Engaging directly with people to understand their wants, needs and aspirations and determine the best opportunity for each person, and provide the support they need in advance of volunteering.

• Developing and maintaining good relationships with referral partners such as The Council, DWP, SDS etc to ensure a steady stream of referrals are received.

• Identifying, creating and developing relationships with new charity partners or agencies to provide bespoke and tailored volunteering opportunities.  These opportunities will support the individuals supported to gain experience, confidence and support them on route to a positive destination.

• Supporting with funding applications and opportunities

• Researching and engaging with partners to provide required coverage of placement sector.

• Managing the risk assessment, quality assurance and audit processes as appropriate.

• Ensuring monitoring, impact and evaluation information and data is collected and that the project meets it’s agreed targets, reporting format and schedule.  Assist the Delivery Leader by preparing reports to funders.

• Ensuring all the above is done with excellent record keeping, in accordance with compliance requirements.

• Promoting and representing Volunteering Matters and across Dumfries and Galloway.

• Contributing to the wider Volunteering Matters staff teams, upholding our values at all times.

We are looking for ambitious and strategic Development Manager – Corporate and Philanthropy to lead the growth of our corporate fundraising, build high-value partnerships, and work with our network of senior supporters to unlock transformational opportunities.

With a strong foundation of mid-level corporate partners (typically £5k-£25k) and a skilled Senior Officer in place to manage and grow those relationships, you’ll be free to focus on securing new, higher-value partnerships and support.

The Role:

You’ll lead our corporate new business development identifying and approaching companies aligned with our mission, and converting them into long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships.

You’ll work closely with the Director of Fundraising to cultivate high-net worth individuals and senior volunteers who can introduce us to the right people and help get us in the room.

Working with colleagues across communications, marketing and services, you’ll create professional, pitch-ready presentations and proposals that inspire companies to partner with us – and then deliver those pitches at a senior level, with confidence and clarity.

Key responsibilities:

· Research, Identify and approach new corporate prospects, building a strong pipeline of potential six-figure partners

· Lead on creating bespoke, compelling pitch decks and proposals, working with the communications and Marketing Team to ensure quality and impact.

What could my day look like?

The Education Worker role is a frontline, fast-paced and rewarding role where no two weeks will look the same. A typical day will have different activities, possibly spread between the IntoUniversity centre, partner schools and the offices of a corporate partner.

In the morning, you might be setting off with resources to run a workshop for sixth-form students in their secondary school. In the afternoon you may be setting up the classroom ahead of running Primary Academic Support for young people in your IntoUniversity centre. On other days, you may be travelling to a corporate partner to run a business simulation workshop for 15 year-olds or leading a group of final year primary school students on a campus visit for their graduation.

As an Education Worker, you’ll always be delivering the programme as part of your centre team, which means that any delivery is always a team effort.

We have a new and exciting vacancy, The Centre Manager (the Manager) will play a key role in ensuring the management and smooth running of the Coventry Boys and Girls Club (Centre). This includes the management of the Senior Management Team (SMT), to ensure the compliance of/to and oversee all administration processes and procedures (including all legal requirements) and financial management. 

A key role of this job is to develop the centre’s business in consultation with senior staff, service users to understand the needs of the community and thus create bespoke opportunities in response. This also includes working with and across stakeholders from statutory, voluntary and the commercial sector to generate greater means of collaborative working, and manage a facility which is both safe, sustainable, and friendly for users.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

 · Manage the safe and efficient operational delivery of the centre in conjunction with the Senior Management Team (SMT)

· To ensure that the service is fully compliant within its regulated marketplace and that the quality assurance processes are implemented and maintained.

· To support in strategy development, expansion planning and the delivery of the business plan and profit targets, working with the SMT to ensure new business generation in line with agreed budgets.

· To review data and SMT reports to evaluate, advise and support further improvement.

KEY TASKS:

· In conjunction with the Board of Directors to oversee the centre, supporting the Senior Management (SMT) and staff team to maintain compliance within those services and in particular, supporting with any safeguarding concerns.

· Closely oversee any areas of concern in the day-to-day operations of the centre and provide on call advice and assistance as part of an agreed rota.

· To implement and oversee KPI’s for the SMT in line with the centre’s goals, managing any areas of concern.

· To help deliver expansion plans across the centre, in particular working with the SMT to maximise the use of the centre’s facilities.

· To ensure that the SMT promote the use of the Centre by, amongst other things, maintaining the Centre’s website and other social media and maximise publicity opportunities and liaising with the local media, and to build relationships and acknowledge funders and their contributions.

· To advise the SMT and Directors on areas for development, areas of good practice and areas for improvement; introducing systems and work practices in order to deliver change where needed. To take quick and decisive action where any decline in outcomes is identified.

· To keep up to date with all regulatory changes and good safeguarding practice.

· To effectively introduce, communicate and share good practice examples across the staff.

· To help build on and further develop a strong and well-balanced team, developing new staff to come through across all regions and developing team resilience.

· Ensuring all Company Policies and Procedures are implemented, managed and monitored.

· Ensuring that all Legislation and Regulations are implemented, managed and monitored.

· Reporting via a board report, and attending board meetings, to share all relevant information within your role.

· To share key information following the board meeting with the SMT in a timely manner.

· To collaborate with directors and key staff to develop new systems, processes, or practices in line with the company requirements.

· Supporting the SMT to ensure that the service follows the agreed recruitment and selection processes, ensuring that the company’s staffing levels are maintained accordingly.

· Assist in the investigation process and hear grievances for formal disciplinary hearings (inc appeals) as appropriate and where requested.

· To investigate and apply for external funding.

· To promote and maintain positive, fruitful relationships with all stake holders, particularly Coventry City Council, to seek compatibility of activities and delivery of innovative joint ventures.

· To inform the directors, of any serious areas of concern.

· Maintain absolute confidentiality and follow all GDPR guidance and policy.

· To work within the of the Equal Opportunities and Equality & Diversity Policy and Procedures at all times.

· As with all staff, to take joint responsibility for the safeguarding of those in our care and to act on any concerns immediately.

Education and training:

· Educated to degree level or have equivalent experience / qualification

5 billion people do not have access to safe, affordable surgical and anaesthesia care when needed. Can you help us address this neglected area of global health? 

Surgery and anaesthesia have a fundamental and growing impact on global health outcomes. Surgical intervention could address over 30% of the global burden of disease, and yet the poorest 33% of people receive just 3.5% of all surgery. Post-operative mortality rates 1,000 times higher than in some high-income countries can be found in parts of the world where surgery and anaesthesia have been neglected, and in some countries as many as 90% of anaesthetic departments do not have the equipment to provide a safe anaesthetic for a child. 

With 142 Member Societies made up of anaesthesiologists in 151 countries, the World Federation of Societies of Anaesthesiologists (WFSA) is uniquely placed to influence these inequalities and help ensure universal access to safe surgery and safe anaesthesia.

As Governance Manager you will be responsible for delivering a high quality, professional, and effective governance service across the Federation and associated entities. You will work closely with our CEO, Governance & Programmes Officer, Board and other volunteers and leaders as required to deliver a number of key governance activities. This includes virtual and in-person meetings of the WFSA Board, Council, and General Assembly.

You will contribute to the expanding governance functions of the Federation family, with a focus on streamlining processes, improving organisational efficiency, and enhancing leadership communication and collaboration. There may also be a degree of mentoring and support for some of our smaller Member Societies wishing to improve their own governance functions. 

The role necessitates building effective working relationships across WFSA, including with Board, Council and Committee members, as well as the Secretariat (what we call our staff team).

Hybrid working is offered with up to three days per week able to be worked remotely and two days spent in our small office in North London. The role will involve some international travel and evening/weekend hours at times. 

WFSA is registered as a legal entity (an association) in the Netherlands. Through this Dutch registration, WFSA also holds not-for-profit status with tax exemption in the USA (known as: 501(c)3 status). The Federation is headquartered in the United Kingdom. Since 2016, WFSA has also had a separate humanitarian arm, “WFSA (UK)”, which is registered as a charitable company in England & Wales. In early 2025, a further related association was set up in Switzerland; this focuses on world congress delivery and fundraising from a European market.

You might have heard of us before if you're one of the 1.5 million+ who have attended one of our Christian holidays or missions over the years, or maybe you're one of the 40,000+ subscribers to have used our brilliant devotionals or been stirred by our exceptional bible resources. We've been at this for a fair few years... over 150 to be precise. Over this time, we’ve remained passionate about helping children and young people develop a vibrant faith in Jesus. As our name describes, the radical power of God's word has always been central to our approach.      

We still do all the great stuff with resources and holidays, but in the last few years, we have sharpened our vision with a renewed focus to help the ‘95%’ of young people (primary and secondary school age) across the UK who don’t go to church, and had opportunity to hear and respond to the good news of Jesus. We do this through equipping and resourcing the local church, training up volunteers and paid workers from local churches (we call them ‘Faith Guides’) and collaborating with local and national partners across the UK to connect with children and young people and support them on a journey of exploring faith in a way that is relevant and meaningful.    

In the last few years we’ve developed a brand new approach to how we do this, it’s simple and incredibly effective, we call it Revealing Jesus, and its making a massive difference.  In the last couple of years we’ve trained up nearly 600 Faith Guides across 400+ churches in England and Wales, collectively we’re seeing over 50,000 young people on a journey of exploring the christen faith and responding to an invitation to become followers of Jesus. We have 24 staff organised into four regional teams, and alongside our local and national partners, we’re playing our part in a network of organisations that seeks to reach children and young people in every context, across every town and city across England and Wales. About our team   

Like many jobs, you will work with lots of different teams in different contexts. With this role, you will have the benefit of being part of regionally focused team of 7 that is part of our wider movement.   

The successful candidate will be a part of our Central Region team of 7 workers who between us work across a region, from Suffolk to Gloucestershire, up to Shropshire, to Lincolnshire. You’ll contribute your expertise in a variety of settings, ranging from urban and suburban and rural areas. You’ll have a brilliant time getting acquainted with this rich tapestry of local and national partners. Across the Central Region, we currently work with over 100 churches and have over 180 faith guides. We’d like to see these numbers grow significantly over the next few years.

Job description: Revealing Jesus Pioneer Scripture Union   

You will work in the Central Region multiplying your impact through equipping, empowering and mobilising others in outreach work. You’ll add energy, expertise, direction, and skill to the mix. You’ll recruit, motivate, train, equip, coach and support Faith Guides; you’ll work in partnership with this group as well as leading by example, you will model excellent mission delivery to children and young people aligned with SU’s mission.

As the Fundraising & Development Officer, you will have experience in fundraising and grant writing and will be responsible for working across the charity to identify new funding opportunities, preparing high-quality applications, and maintaining relationships with key funders.

As a Fundraising & Development Officer, your responsibilities will be:

Required Skills and Experience:

Scope of role

The People & Culture Partner will provide expert support across the full employee lifecycle from attraction and recruitment, to onboarding, development, performance management, and exit. This role will support senior leaders in driving values-based leadership, building, HR capability, and fostering a culture of performance, inclusion, and wellbeing.
In addition, the People & Culture Partner will play a key role in workforce planning, leveraging data and insights to inform decision-making, and ensuring that HR processes are effective, compliant, and centred on the needs and experiences of people.

Essential Criteria:

• Experience managing payroll processes, either directly or through outsourced providers, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proven experience leading end-to-end recruitment, including role scoping, advertising, shortlisting, interviewing, and selection.
• Experience designing and delivering onboarding and induction programmes that support new staff to integrate effectively and feel engaged from the outset.
• Experience of drafting HR policies and procedures and conducting gap analysis on HR systems.
• Experience supporting managers and advising through consultation processes such as TUPE and/or redundancy.
• Strong organisational, communication, and conflict resolution skills.

• Understanding of trauma-informed approaches and a commitment to developing organisational culture to ensure inclusion and diversity.

• Experience working in a unionised environment and demonstrate a high level of discretion and confidentiality.

• Experience working in a similar role within the charity or non-profit sector is preferred.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including active listening, with the ability to determine business goals and suggest ways to achieve them through HR initiatives.
