The Royal Hospital Chelsea is looking for a skilled Marketing Officer to contribute to and deliver effective marketing campaigns to help meet the organisation's core strategic objectives. This is an exciting new role within the Marketing and Communications team and a fantastic opportunity to join an historic organisation, the home of the iconic Chelsea Pensioners since 1692.
The successful candidate will have relevant experience of delivering impactful multi-channel campaigns for a range of audiences, and ideally at a nationally recognised organisation within the military, charity, cultural or public sectors. You'll be responsible for marketing a wide range of projects including our recently launched, nationwide Veterans' Outreach programme, the Soane Stable Yard - which is open to the public 7 days a week, and our year-round events programme, as well as working with our partners to promote the Chelsea Heritage Quarter.

We are seeking a proactive marketeer, who is equally comfortable planning and implementing campaigns as well as creating compelling content, with excellent attention to detail and a good understanding of what drives public engagement and support for an organisation like the Royal Hospital.
The successful candidate will be:
· A skilled and confident executor, who is experienced in consumer marketing and promoting a wide range of projects including public events to the right audiences.
- Creative in crafting compelling marketing content to deliver effective, multi-channel marketing campaigns.
- Experience of working with a range of partners to help raise awareness and engagement, as well as suppliers such as designers and photographers.
- Relevant marketing experience in a military, charity, cultural or public organisation would be particularly advantageous.

The project aims to identify those in Welfare, Health, Wellbeing, Employment, housing, and/or food crisis who have had unresolved issues over a prolonged period and provide support for them to overcome the immediate crisis and work towards longer-term stability
The Advice and Advocacy Officer will provide holistic advice and advocacy to guests, supporting them on issues such as debt, welfare, housing, employment, and business support, in a trauma-informed and empowering way.
The postholder will be a key part of growing the Hub’s Advice and Advocacy/ Pastoral / Wrap-around services, working as a team with our partners, providing support to guests and volunteers.

Our Healthier Lifestyles Service includes a programme of seated and standing exercise, health checks and social engagement together with our 3 Memory Tree Cafés. Memory Tree cafes combine music and singing, dancing, reminiscence, exercise, activity and social interaction providing a safe and relaxing environment for older people living with dementia and their carers. Our programmes are delivered in various settings across the borough including care homes, sheltered housing and community venues together with our own Brigstock Road Community Hall.
The Healthier Lifestyle team at Age UK Croydon offers a range of inclusive and accessible activities and events across the borough of Croydon combining exercise and social engagement in a variety of local settings. These sessions help reduce isolation, improve independence, prevent falls, increase fitness levels and manage health conditions. They also provide social engagement and interaction, information and support around living with dementia, a safe and welcoming space for all to engage and relax.
Duties will include (but are not limited to) –
- Independently delivering chair-based exercise sessions daily in Croydon care homes to residents.
- As an Age UK Croydon ambassador promote our services including via talks and presentations to community groups across the Borough.
- Developing and maintaining good relationships with care home, health hub venue staff and partner organisations or talk providers.
- Working as part of the health hub team lead on the delivery of health hubs in various Croydon locations.
- To be the key point of liaison for all clients accessing the Activity Service.
- To support the promotion of the organisation, services, activities, and events.
- To contact clients when there are changes to the regular classes.
