Purpose of the Post

• To Provide financial leadership and to be accountable for financial reporting to the leadership team, Board, and stakeholders.
• To be responsible for effective management of the day-to-day office administration, and HR processes.
• To undertake company secretarial duties to ensure compliance with statutory requirement and relevant legislation.
• To work directly with the leadership team and board supporting business planning, organisational development, and to ensure Eclipse meets its aims and objectives.

The Finance and Operations Manager is a key relationship for internal staff and suppliers as well as fielding enquiries from artists, partners and the general public.

Terms and Conditions

Reports to: Senior Change Director

Other reporting: Board of trustees

Line manages: Other administrative staff once recruited, external accountants, IT supplier

Salary: £35,000 gross per annum (pro rata if applicable)

Location: Working from home with some working from company office in Leeds with reasonable notice

FTE / Hours: Full Time (1.0 FTE) at 35 hours per week, plus a compulsory break for one hour. Part-time options of 0.5 to 0.8 FTE would be accepted.

Holidays: 28 days per year (including statutory Bank Holidays), pro rata if applicable

Role responsibilities
The Finance & Operations Manager is responsible for:

Finance

• Preparation, monitoring, and control of the budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Provision of clear and timely management accounts to the senior team and Board of Trustees.
• Administration of the company’s financial systems through day-to-day bookkeeping including data entry, management of petty cash, processing of invoices and bank reconciliation.
• Liaising with the external payroll provider and payment of monthly salaries.
• Overseeing the preparation of the annual statutory accounts and management of the annual independent examination.
• Supporting in the delivery of an annual report or funder reports as needed, including Arts Council England NPO reporting requirements and quarterly payment conditions. 

Governance

• Leading on the arrangements for Board Meetings and Away Days: minute taking, writing and circulating agenda and documentation, post-meeting minutes and communicating with the Trustees pre-meeting on location, time and attendance.
• Regularly reviews the company’s policy making – ensuring the company maintains and abides by its policies e.g. Safeguarding, Health & Safety, Environmental and Staff Handbook.

Administration & HR

• Day to day responsibility for managing the HR function of the company.
• Keeping in contact with and responding in a timely manner to any queries from key stakeholders.
• Support the organisation to maintain key relationships and deliver report writing.
• General administration and office management lead.
• Management of the company calendar.
• Administration of company compliance and reporting to statutory bodies e.g. Companies House and the Charities Commission.
• Working as a central point of contact through phone and email.
• Management of the company administration systems.
• Support the delivery of contracts and letters of agreement.
• Support recruitment and onboarding processes.
• Support accommodation, travel, logistics, and tour-booking processes.

What you do  

Main purpose of post 

This role will lead our individual giving campaigns ensuring key audiences see the impact of the charity and are motivated to donate to support the continuation of our work.  It will build on existing successful campaigns, including our Christmas Star appeal, and create new and engaging additions.  You will ensure the donor journey is sensitive, engaging and straightforward and place a high importance on the ongoing stewardship of donors.

You will report to the Head of Fundraising and work alongside our Fundraising Team to ensure plans align and budget targets are achieved. You will work closely with the Campaign Manager and Data Manager to target individual giving effectively across South Yorkshire, Bassetlaw and North Derbyshire. 

This is the perfect role for anyone who loves to plan and see those plans through to completion, who has excellent customer care skills and who is digitally savvy. You will enjoy working as part of a busy fundraising team and collaborating to achieve collective success.

Key Responsibilities  

· Lead and implement the individual giving donor journey to increase the charity’s individual gifts including regular and pay roll giving.

· Lead the creation of fundraising individual giving campaigns to recruit new donors, retain existing supporters and grow reach, engagement and income.

· Lead the development of new individual giving campaigns, working closely with the Campaign Manager, to deliver direct marketing campaigns across various channels, which enhance current supporters understanding of the difference their donation makes and also encourages new supporters to donate to our cause and projects.

· To create new individual giving income opportunities, including introducing a charity lottery.

· Review and evaluate campaigns against income and impact success factors and implement improvements.

· Maximise all gift aid opportunities within the agreed audiences.

· Be responsible for an income target of a minimum of £300,000 per annum.

· Manage relationships with existing supporters to ensure a high level of donor care is achieved whilst achieving and maximising income opportunities.

· Analyse and segment the charity's supporter base, developing appropriate supporter journeys and propositions, and the effective use of supporter data for campaign purposes.

Utilise digital methods and platforms for new donor acquisition

· To assist in the delivery of a range of donor, supporter and staff engagement events throughout the year in line with our donor recognition & stewardship plan.

· Contribute to development of the fundraising annual plan to drive forward the charity’s ambitious plans for change and growth in line with the 3 year strategy.

· Ensure that all activities and contacts are managed through the charity’s CRM (Raiser’s Edge).

· Ensure all fundraising activity complies with laws and best practice governing charitable activity, most notably General Data Protection Regulations, Fundraising Regulator Code of Practice and charity law.

· Attend and contribute to team meetings and 'away days' and be an active, invested member of our team.

· Ability and willingness to travel throughout the region to attend charity fundraising events.

· Able to work flexibly, including occasionally working in the evenings and at weekends.

About Our Client

The North-West Regional Organised Crime Unit is a collaborative multi agency covert response to tackle serious and organised crime across the North-West Region.

The North West Regional Organised Crime Unit (NWROCU) tackles serious organised crime across the North West region. The NWROCU carries out investigations into serious and organised crime on behalf of police forces in Cheshire, Cumbria, Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Merseyside and North Wales. The lead force for NWROCU is Merseyside Police, with the Assistant Chief Constable of NWROCU reporting into Chief Constable Serena Kennedy.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Finance Business Partner as a fully qualified accountant to provide pro-active professionally qualified support and guidance to budget holders for the financial management of the ROCU. This is an amazing opportunity to work for a regional unit, building close relationships across 6 Regional Forces, Home Office and the ROCU Network. As Merseyside Police are the Lead Force for the collaboration; the NWROCU follow lead force Financial Regulations and the successful post holder will build close working relationships with the Merseyside Finance Department.

Job Description

As a Senior Finance Business Partner you will provide pro-active professionally qualified support and guidance to budget holders for the financial management of the ROCU. Assist the Head of Enabling Services in the provision of a professional financial planning, management and accounting service, maintaining the integrity of NWROCU's financial records, and developing new systems and processes to comply with legislation, with a clear focus on ensuring best use of resources based on sound and demonstrable financial reasoning.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Develop and maintain a professional working relationship with budget holders and senior managers, ensuring that needs of the budget holder are fully satisfied, and SLA's adhered to.
• Responsible for monitoring and reporting upon the financial position of units to relevant stakeholders using appropriate means of communication and methods of financial analysis to ensure an effective and efficient budget management service is provided. This will include attendance at key SLT/Command Team meetings as the finance expert.
• Provision of professional challenge, support and advice to budget holders over a wider range of subjects, with a clear focus on obtaining best value, and best use of resources for the Force. Ensuring compliance with financial regulations
• Review and monitor expenditure on supplies and services; and produce recommendations for improved efficiencies where appropriate for effective financial management of the NWROCU budget.
• Provide assistance with the preparation of the capital programme in order to determine the capital financing requirement of the NWROCU.
• Maintain the asset register and capital accounting records ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
• Provide technical input in the development of budget monitoring to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and to meet specific requirements of the NWROCU.
• Complete statutory returns and grant claims; prepare appropriate working papers to ensure the maintenance of financial accounts.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will:

• Be a Fully qualified CCAB Accountant.
• Have experience of working within a large and complex financial environment; with specific knowledge and experience of fulfilling a budget management role.
• Have advanced communication skills to deal effectively with a variety of potential stakeholders. This includes the ability to challenge devolved budget managers, and budget holders, present and disseminate financial information effectively to nonfinancial officers, and to present both verbal and written reports to Chief Officers and other stakeholders.
• Well-developed analytical skills, and the ability to pro-actively respond to financial issues as they arise.

Delphside Limited is entering an exciting phase of change, but is mindful of the challenges the mental health care and charity sector as a whole is facing.

To help mitigate this this, we are looking to enhance our Governance and control systems in terms of our financial and administration management.

The role is a temporary role (6-12 months) to help direct and support changes of financial systems, data control processes and to help ensure the current team, including our current Finance Manager, are supported with the implementation of a more up to date and effective way of working.

Main Responsibilities :

· Provide full review of current financial controls, identify and implement a new financial I.T./software system suited to service needs.

· Oversee the procurement, implementation and transition to the new financial I.T./software system once it is identified.

· The post holder will assist with the strategic planning and budget preparation for the organisation as well as maintaining the charity's financial accounting systems.

· To provide support to the Finance Manager by overseeing the preparation of the organisation’s accounts for audit in accordance with current accounting good practice and Charity Commission’s Standards of Recommended Practice (SORP)

· Lead, develop and support a small dedicated finance and administration team

· Long term financial planning and assisting the CEO with succession planning in the finance area of the service, including creation of a financial risk register.

· Assist in setting the annual budget and report on performance.

· Oversee timely production by the Finance manager of monthly management accounts and the annual statutory accounts.

· Ensure a robust financial control environment and ensure all treasury and Financial Governance management are in place, suitable and effective.

· The post holder will have responsibility to ensure the organisation is compliant with legal and financial duties associated with those of a Charitable Company reporting directly to the CEO and Board of Trustees.

· Provide proactive assessment of opportunities to deliver efficiencies in collaboration with department heads where necessary.

· Undertake internal audit of systems and processes in place to ensure good financial Governance.

About the role

Are you an experienced corporate fundraiser with an interest in working in the international development sector? Are you creative, strategic, highly organised, a confident and effective communicator and strong team player? 

We are looking for an experienced Senior Corporate Fundraising Manager to work closely with the Head of Programme Funding to drive new donor engagement and secure sustainable, multi-year funding. If you are seeking a dynamic and engaging fundraising role which offers you the chance to play a pivotal role within a small but ambitious organisation, then this could be the job for you.

You will be an exemplary relationship builder and have experience in developing multi-faceted corporate partnerships (ideally with experience and success in employee engagement, corporate sponsorship, and/or operational partnerships).

The role also line manages the Senior Fundraising Officer post, a position that provides administrative and fundraising support across the whole fundraising team.  Please note that we are a small team and so you’ll need to be comfortable rolling up your sleeves to help out team members and to support new business across other restricted income streams.

Set in the tranquil grounds of Willen Lake, Willen Hospice is the leading provider of specialist palliative care within the Milton Keynes area. We are looking for an experienced Business Development and Advisory Manager to join our committed team, who will hit the ground running.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

• You will manage and grow Stronger Together’s business relations in a variety of sectors, both in the UK and globally to generate funding and drive impact. This includes taking the lead in developing project proposals for clients.

• You will deliver interactive training workshops and deliver premium quality services to businesses to support them to embed responsible recruitment and fair work and tackle modern slavery in their operations and supply chains.

• You will project manage all client projects from start to finish.

The role is diverse with opportunities to generate new funding to drive impact, project manage and implement training and activity with a variety of businesses, and to try out new ideas. You will work remotely, but in close cooperation with the Head of Business Development, and rest of our growing team across the world. 

Who you are:

• An experienced professional with an in-depth understanding of and subject matter expertise on working with businesses on responsible recruitment, ethical labour practices and modern slavery, and significant experience in business engagement/developing and managing senior management corporate sponsor relations (min. 5 years’ experience).

• The ideal candidate should have experience in a business development role, a track record in building and developing business relations, and strong experience of giving presentations, delivering pitches and closing deals.

• Experienced in maintaining and developing corporate sponsor relations including writing client and grant proposals.

• An excellent trainer, with experience of delivering training to businesses.

• A strong project manager and great organiser, with the ability to set and meet demanding targets and deadlines, and to hold others accountable to those.

• A professional who has worked with or within the construction, manufacturing, consumer goods, apparel, finance or care sector on responsible business behaviour.

• An excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing, with experience of developing and building new successful working relationships with a range of stakeholders, as well as confidence in representing the organisation professionally at a variety of events.

• A motivated and enthusiastic worker, able to work independently and with remote colleagues/stakeholders.

• Someone with a good eye for detail, whilst retaining sight of the bigger picture.

About you

You will have previous administration experience and strong IT knowledge, including experience of using Microsoft Office with the ability to produce reports and presentations within Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

About the role

As a Business Support Officer, you will support individual areas and provide positive and timely business support for the Care and Support function to meet their delivery of organisation business processes. This will include finance, data gathering, employee engagement/support (on-board/off-board) as well as mobile phone device management and registered area office management.

Whilst individual roles will be based locally within an area office (within the geographical region), the Business Support Officer will be part of the wider Business Support team for the Region and will report to the respective Regional Business Support Manager who will determine working patterns in collaboration with the Registered Area Managers.

To support this mission, we are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to help drive our new commercial strategy and increase our income from business and commercial activity.

Katherine Low Settlement has worked with older people since its conception in 1924.They are a core part of the community that we continue to work with. We provide, often in partnership, a range of projects and activities for older people including health and wellbeing; creative arts; intergenerational work; connecting people and trips/outings. Our services include an Older People's Lunch Club, Contact Club, T’ai Chi for Elders, exercise and social sessions, and support online.

We work with older people to:

• Encourage active and independent living

• Reduce isolation and loneliness

• Improve well-being and prevent ill-health

• Enable older residents to be dynamic and contributing members of the Wandsworth community.

Key Objectives for the Elders Core Service Manager Role:

1. Team Leadership: Lead a team of dedicated part-time paid staff and volunteers, including a cook, support worker, minibus driver, and sessional workers.
2. Day-to-Day Management: Manage the day-to-day operations of the Elders Core Service, including the lunch club, transport, social sessions, and overseeing the one-to-one work of the core team.
3. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the wider team to provide a hands-on program that builds on older people's strengths and potential.
4. Monitoring and Evaluation: Support the monitoring and evaluation of the project in collaboration with the Head of Programme.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Delivery

• Planning and Oversight: Ensure that all service output aligns with KLS' vision, mission, values, and charitable objectives. Organize and promote one-off activities throughout the year.
• Transport Management: Manage the transport offer, including route planning and pick-up schedules.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate activity records, registers, and casework notes for the core team.
• Outreach and Support: Conduct outreach work with older people in the community, oversee home visits, and manage a small caseload.

2. Staff and Volunteer Management

• Recruitment and Line Management: Recruit and manage the Outreach and Support Workers, Lunch Club Cook, and relevant social activities workers and volunteers.
• Performance Management: Use performance management and quality systems to monitor and evaluate the project's work and processes.

3. Relationships, Communication, and Networks

• Member Engagement: Build and sustain strong relationships with elder members.
• Communication: Oversee communication for the Core Programme, including newsletters, activities calendar, annual reports, and social media platforms.
• Meetings: Attend meetings on behalf of the Core Programme as required.

4. Finance

• Budget Management: Manage project areas to budget and maintain financial records as agreed with the Head of Programme.

5. Other Duties

• Professional Development: Participate in regular management supervision and annual appraisal. Identify job-related development and training needs.
