London Gypsies and Travellers (LGT) challenges social exclusion and discrimination, working for change in partnership with Gypsy and Traveller communities living on council caravan sites, roadside camps, in bricks and mortar housing, and those experiencing homelessness.

We offer accommodation advice and advocacy, family services and a youth mentoring programme that support hundreds of families and individuals each year. Our community development, research, policy work and campaigns are rooted in community involvement and lived experience and aim to create long-term positive change for Gypsies and Travellers across London and an end to the discrimination they face every day.

About the role

This Operations & Administration Coordinator role is a diverse and hands-on role, covering a wide range of tasks and responsibilities that are essential to the smooth, efficient running of the organisation. It's a part-time position for three days (21 hours) a week.

You will provide day‑to‑day operational coordination across IT systems, office management, finance administration and HR processes, alongside varied administrative support. Acting as a central point of contact, you will work closely with colleagues, external suppliers and advisors to ensure our working environment, systems, policies and processes are practical, compliant and support staff to do their best work.

The role works with all staff and external suppliers, particularly the Resilience Strategy Lead, Finance Officer, CEO and external IT support providers.

About you

The role is ideal for someone who is adaptable, organised and enjoys problem‑solving and improving systems. This is a varied role and we don’t expect you to already be an expert in all of the responsibility areas. We welcome applicants with different strengths and backgrounds and there is plenty of scope to learn and develop in the role. Although solid IT skills and knowledge are essential, this is not a technical specialist role - the emphasis is on coordination and oversight, liaising between colleagues, external advisors and technical support, and following issues and projects through to completion.

About the role

This new role is to support the growth of Marine Society apprenticeship and adult skills provision. This is a strategic, outward-facing role requiring a confident astute individual who can engage key stakeholders and employers in the maritime industry to recruit new entrants and existing employees onto Marine Society programmes.

Responsibilities

· To grow the apprenticeship and adult skills provision in line with agreed annual recruitment and financial targets

· To develop and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective employers and learners, proactively identifying new apprenticeship and learning opportunities within the maritime industry. To secure repeat business with apprenticeship employers through cultivating long-term relationships.

· To work with the Director of Maritime Training and Development to devise a sales and marketing strategy to grow the apprenticeship and adult skills provision. To support the tendering process to ASF devolved areas and work with subcontractor partners.

· To collaborate with the Apprenticeship Operations Manager and Maritime Lead Trainer to convert identified leads and share industry intelligence.

· To assist the Digital Marketing Coordinator to write targeted social media posts and marketing campaigns, ensuring market visibility and lead generation. To build a library of promotional literature and good news stories.

· To maintain accurate records of business development leads and pipeline activity within the CRM system and to routinely report on these

· Attend relevant external boards, fora and industry bodies, as directed in order to promote maritime apprenticeships and training including; Maritime Skills Alliance, Workboat Association, MNTB apprenticeship committee and Port Skills and Safety

· To attend industry trade fairs and careers events to represent Marine Society. These include; National Apprenticeship Week, Seawork, International Boat Show

· To research and monitor market trends, employer needs and competitor activity to inform business development strategy

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a recruitment, sales or commercial role with a proven track record of achieving financial targets
• Knowledge of the maritime sector including roles, ranks and certifications in the near coastal sector
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build trust and credibility with clients and stakeholders
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to identify, grow and convert new business opportunities
• Experience using CRM systems to monitor and report on business leads
• Knowledge of CPD training or workforce development

We are looking for someone with a proven record of developing collaboration and coproduction across services for people experiencing housing or homelessness issues people, to join us as a Project Coordinator. The role will oversee the development of Shelter’s participation in the Norfolk Homelessness Solution Forum. 

About this role 

Your role as Project Coordinator will further develop collaboration and coproduction across organisations who are member of the Norfolk Homelessness Solutions Forum. Specifically, this will involve project management for delivering the Forum’s objectives, overseeing the project communications plan and establishing and leading delivery working groups. You will oversee and support the work of the Norfolk Homelessness Solution Forum’s Lived Experience Coordinator, act as an adviser on good practice for partners and ensure that co-production, collaboration and a person centred focus is at the heart of everything you do.

About you 

You will have experience of managing complex projects, including using a range of Project Management techniques and influencing system change using an evidence base. An outstanding and adaptable communicator, you will have experience of chairing meetings, delivering presentations and working in a multi-disciplinary context with external stakeholders. Your understanding and empathy for the people worst impacted by the housing emergency means you will be able to motivate partner organisations, championing the work of Shelter and the Forum within Norfolk.

We have been providing housing advice to the people of Norfolk for almost 30 years, with specialisms in housing legal advice and advocacy. Our team work out of our Community Hub in Norwich and across Norfolk in community settings. We work in partnership with other local services to address interconnected issues which may impact on our clients’ ability to keep a home. This also includes advice for residents of Kings Lynn in partnership with Broadland Housing and Norfolk Citizens Advice. We also deliver housing right awareness sessions to empower local communities to take action on housing issues.

Compost Culture is a five-year project taking place in Birmingham, supported by the National Lottery’s Climate Action Fund (NLCAF) and led by Incredible Surplus, that seeks to change the narrative on compost and support behaviour change, following a two- year initial project. This project will involve practical compost and growing initiatives alongside creative media and storytelling to show the relevance and importance of compost in how society moves forward. The project will build a resilient, self-sustaining network of composting and growing activity across Birmingham. It will inspire and support individuals, community groups, organisations and businesses to try composting and embed it as part of their daily activity and press the local authority and other agencies to support hyper-local composting as a valuable element of food waste management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop a “Compost Village” approach across project sites by building strong relationships with households, community organisations, churches, local groups and schools.
• Facilitate community knowledge-sharing around composting, soil health, waste reduction, and the role composting plays in climate action and local sustainability.
• Support the development of local composting loops, encouraging communities to reuse organic materials effectively and reduce waste.
• Deliver a strong schools-focused programme, including educating pupils and school staff on composting, biodiversity, and environmental responsibility.
• Support the installation and ongoing use of Ridan composting systems within schools alongside other composting methods appropriate to each setting.
• Work collaboratively across project delivery, supporting wider engagement activities and site-based practical work. 

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

• A genuine passion for nature, sustainability, composting, and environmental education.
• Basic understanding of soil health, composting processes, growth cycles, and the organisms that support healthy ecosystems.
• Interest in biodiversity, wildlife, and “mini beasts” that contribute to healthy soil systems.
• Confident communicator with the ability to engage positively with schools, community groups, and volunteers.
• Good level of physical fitness, with the ability to undertake practical outdoor work while following safe lifting and manual handling guidelines.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small delivery team.

Everything you do will have the aim of ensuring that people with lived experience have their say over the help they receive and have the opportunity to shape housing and homelessness services.

You will plan and deliver a variety of involvement activities around Norfolk, working closely with the Shelter team and wider partners as part of the Norfolk Homelessness Solutions Forum. This will include recruiting, training and inducting people to be part of lived experience activities, supporting Shelter colleagues to put people with lived experience at the heart of their work. You will ensure that there are regular opportunities for feedback and that any wellbeing and safeguarding concerns are managed in line with Shelter’s processes.

About you

You will need experience of facilitating involvement groups and other activities to support and involve people with lived experience in Shelter’s work. You have a strong understanding of how lived experience of housing issues can impact a person and so ensure a safe and inclusive space where everybody can contribute. The ability to plan and co-ordinate involvement activities with local teams, with several activities running at once is important as well.

You will have a flair for developing successful relationships with colleagues across an organisation, as well as external local organisations and partners. Also, you have some experience of presenting information verbally and in writing and IT literacy including case management systems and Microsoft Office.

We're looking for a proactive and well-connected Fundraising Coordinator to work closely with SYEDA's management team to shape and deliver our fundraising plans for the future.

This is a unique opportunity to own and develop a fundraising plan, not just to deliver against one that is already in place. You'll play a central role in diversifying our income streams, strengthening our sustainability, and enabling more people to access vital support.

In this role, you will:

• Lead the development and delivery of a strategic fundraising plan
• Build and grow corporate partnerships and relationships with local businesses
• Design engaging and meaningful fundraising opportunities for individuals, which take into account the nuances of fundraising for eating disorder support.
• Develop relationships with small grants and trusts organisations.
• Work collaboratively across SYEDA to ensure fundraising is embedded in our wider strategy and impact.

Ideally, you'll have experience in a fundraising or income-generation role, and a track record of developing relationships which lead to tangible support. This role will work closely with SYEDA's CEO to explore opportunities to amplify the work that we do, and bolster support to ensure that work can continue, and having strong networks and the confidence to build new ones will be key to the role. The role

This is an exciting opportunity to join GamCare at a pivotal moment, as the organisation launches a new programme focused on preventing and reducing gambling-related harm experienced by individuals affected by another person’s gambling, known as “Affected Others”.

This new role, funded by the Office for Health Improvement and Disparities (OHID), is an opportunity to develop guidance and resources for Affected Others and professionals, alongside designing and delivering peer support services and training. The programme will prioritise support for key groups across England, including men, young adults (18–25), neurodiverse individuals, LGBTQIA+ communities, and people from ethnic minority backgrounds.

As a Development Coordinator, you will be responsible for producing high-quality guidance, resources, and service developments, ensuring that safety is embedded across all outputs and that lived experience voices inform all aspects of the work. Using an iterative test and learn approach, you will gather insights, contribute to continuous improvement, and adapt resources and services to better meet the needs of target groups.

Key responsibilities 

·Programme Support – Support the Programme Manager in the development of the programme, contributing to delivery against KPIs, timelines, and budget requirements. 

·Resource & Service Development – Develop high-quality online and printed guidance and support for Affected Others and the professionals who support them. Work collaboratively with service teams to support the development of educational peer support and other support services. 

·Matrix Working – Work collaboratively across programmes, including the Women’s Pathway Programme, to ensure resources and services are aligned, avoid duplication, and benefit from shared learning. Build strong internal relationships to support consistent messaging, practice sharing, and continuous improvement. 

·Lived Experience Engagement – Support the active involvement of people with lived experience as Affected Others, ensuring their input informs the co-creation of resources and support services. 

·Stakeholder Engagement – Build and maintain relationships with professionals working with target groups to inform the development of resources and services, and promote programme outputs to relevant audiences. 

·Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) – Embed EDI principles across all outputs, ensuring resources and services are accessible, inclusive, and responsive to the needs of target groups. 

·Learning & Insight – Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by applying a test and learn approach, gathering insights to refine and improve resources and services. 

·Impact & Evaluation – Support the collection of data and insights to assess the effectiveness and impact of resources and services. 

·Monitoring & Reporting – Contribute to programme monitoring and reporting by preparing written, statistical, and verbal updates on progress and outcomes.

About you 

The successful candidate will bring experience in developing guidance, resources or services that support positive behaviour change. In addition to this, you will have experience of building relationships and delivering initiatives with volunteers who have lived experience, as well as colleagues and external stakeholders.

Strong organisational skills are essential, along with the ability to manage competing priorities and experience of developing interventions using iterative “test and learn” approaches to build high-quality guidance and support.

We are looking for an experienced youth worker to join our team and lead our Short Breaks project, which provides activities and support specifically for children and young people who have autism and have low to moderate support needs. Camp Mohawk is a woodland activity centre that provides support to children, young people and families from across the South of England.

The children and young people (approximately 100 individuals) supported by the project are aged 8 to approximately 25 years and are largely independent in terms of their self care but have a variety of social, sensory and sometimes medical needs that mean it is very difficult for them to participate in mainstream activities. Our Short Breaks service offers after school activities (in 3 age groups) on Tuesdays and Thursdays in term time, as well as full days of activities once per week in school holidays. These activities give the young people essential social opportunities during which they are supported with things they find challenging, encouraged to express their natural personalities and explore and develop their interests. During these sessions they can receive support to develop their social skills if that is what they need, and can take part in fun activities with their peers. The groups generally cater for between 10 and 20 young people per session.

To be a good fit for this role, you will need to be an exceptional and dedicated childcare / youth worker who has proven experience of supporting and safeguarding children and young people, particularly those who have autism. You should have experience of planning inclusive activities, managing budgets and supervising teams of staff. The role is very much a ‘hands on’ role working directly with the project beneficiaries for the majority of the post hours - you must be able to commit to working the majority of Tuesday (16.00 - 19.30) and Thursday (18.30 - 22.00) evenings in term time, and at least one full day (09.00 - 17.30) per week during school holidays, with the exception of the Christmas holidays when the centre is closed. You will work 10 hours per month on project associated admin which can be undertaken remotely and largely at times that suit you. You must have a full UK driving license and access to a reliable vehicle that is insured for business use. Camp Mohawk is not easily accessible by public transport, whilst some Short Breaks activities take place at off site locations in Reading, Wokingham, Maidenhead, Bracknell, Slough and surrounding areas.

The current post holder also works in the role of Duty Manager for other school holiday days / term time weekend days. This aspect of the role, which will be an optional add on to the Short Breaks Coordinator role with negotiable hours, would be undertaken on a rotational basis with our 4 other Duty Managers. The role involves overseeing the daily delivery of general Family Sessions which support families who have children of all ages and who have a wide range of special needs and disabilities. In this role you will guide and supervise a team of support staff and volunteers through set up of the facilities at the start of the day, oversee the smooth and effective delivery of the service and support families during their visits, work effectively within our Safeguarding Lead Team, and supervise the cleaning and close down of facilities once the session has completed.
