Design and Brand Coordinator
Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, generally 9am to 5pm with occasional evening or weekend work if required.
Salary: £26,680 to £29,442 per annum (subject to skills and experience)
Contract: Permanent

- Deliver creative projects to a high standard, on time and within scope, using strong creative judgment and problem-solving skills
- Lead on interior branding projects across the charity’s estate, including design, styling, signage and stakeholder coordination

Purpose of the Job
The Quality and Service Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring the reliability and quality of our systems by carrying out testing activity for enhancements across Salesforce, Dynamics and Business Central. The role supports the smooth delivery of changes by combining structured testing with targeted service support, including triage of incoming issues and resolution of tickets.
Duties and Responsibilities
- reating test plans based on user requirements with the Service Manager to enable testing to be done by the wider business.
- Create clear documentation regarding test outcomes, learnings from the enhancements and suggestions to improve them moving forward.
- Work proactively with the business to understand key systems and how they work.
- Be an internal point of contact between the business and our external IT provider by assisting in approval, information gathering to ensure smooth service.
- Support the Service Manager to ensure that tickets are managed and resolved within a timely manner.
- Monitor recurring issues and share insights that help improve system quality and inform future enhancements.
- Work with the business and the Service desk manager to understand prioritisation of work and assist in working out return on investment of required work.
- Carry out manual testing on BAU changes and new enhancements in the following systems – Salesforce, Dynamics, PowerBI and Business Central.
- Adhering to team set KPIS on ticket resolutions
- Retrospective reviews regarding test plans, facilitation of testing and manually testing.
- Monthly calls with the service manager to pass on learnings and review process of tickets.

What you’ll be doing
Service coordination and delivery
- Managing requests for Communication Support Workers (CSWs), BSL Interpreters and Translation services
- Matching clients with appropriate professionals and ensuring a high-quality, reliable service
- Building and maintaining a regular client base, encouraging repeat business
- Managing freelance staff, including rotas, onboarding and compliance (DBS, insurance, etc.)
- Handling quotes, invoicing and payment follow-ups
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations
Growth and development
- Promoting Deaf Unity’s services and building relationships with new and existing clients
- Identifying and exploring new income-generating opportunities
- Supporting the growth of services for deaf school leavers, jobseekers and professionals
- Cross-promoting services alongside Deaf Unity’s training offer
Quality and improvement
- Ensuring services are accessible, responsive and high quality
- Gathering feedback and using this to improve delivery

About you
We are looking for someone who is organised, self-motivated and confident building relationships. You will be comfortable managing your own workload and taking initiative to develop services.
You will ideally have:
- Experience managing services, projects or freelance provision
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Experience in outreach, sales or building partnerships
- Confidence working independently and managing multiple priorities
- A genuine commitment to accessibility, inclusion and deaf empowerment
Knowledge of the deaf community and communication support services (e.g. interpreting, CSWs) is highly valued.
Essential:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to promote services and meet targets
- Ability to manage administration alongside relationship-building
Desirable:
- BSL Level 2 or above
- Experience using CRM systems
- Knowledge of interpreting or communication support best practice

About you
You will play a vital role supporting the management of our diverse portfolio of projects working as part of the team with a broad range of clients, members, and partners including individual councils, the NHS, and other public and voluntary sector partners to enable them to become more community powered. Your job will incldue:

Coordinate several projects at the same time, supporting team members to deliver high quality work, on time and within agreed budgets.

Coordinate project meetings, both internally and externally, capturing key decisions and actions and working with the team to develop effective project management mechanisms to enable smooth delivery.

Act as a first point of contact for project work, providing timely project management updates for internal and external stakeholders.

Support the design and delivery of workshops and events, particularly through coordination of logistics (venue, catering, IT, materials needed, etc.) and liaising with our team, clients, and participants to ensure sessions are delivered smoothly.

Support project leads to prepare high quality, compelling project resources including presentations, reports, and blogs.

Support project leads in designing and delivering a range of research activities including desk research, focus groups, interviews, and analysis.

Work with New Local’s Finance Officer and Head of Operations & Finance to ensure invoicing, and payments related to the Practice and Programme team’s work are processed in a timely manner.

About the role
This is a varied role where you will take the lead on coordinating, developing and promoting Deaf Unity’s training provision. Our training includes BSL courses, e-learning, and bespoke training for organisations.
You will manage the day-to-day delivery of training while also focusing on growth—building relationships, increasing bookings and expanding our e-learning offer to reach new audiences.
This is a key role in a small, growing charity, where income generated from training directly supports deaf school leavers, jobseekers and professionals. The work you do will have a clear and positive impact.
This role would suit an existing freelancer with experience in the BSL and/or training sector.
What you’ll be doing
Training coordination and delivery
- Managing enquiries from individuals and organisations and converting these into bookings
- Coordinating the delivery of BSL courses, training sessions and bespoke programmes
- Booking trainers, teachers and students, including exam bookings where required
- Acting as the main point of contact for learners, clients and freelance tutors
- Ensuring training is delivered smoothly and to a high standard
- Monitoring quality through feedback and evaluation
Growth and development
- Promoting Deaf Unity’s training offer and increasing sales across all courses
- Building relationships with organisations to secure bespoke training opportunities
- Expanding and developing our e-learning offer to reach wider audiences
- Designing and standardising training materials to improve quality and consistency

Administration and systems
