About the role:

About you:
You will be an accomplished project manager, with a high degree of business acumen and substantial experience of setting up and delivering projects working with and through multiple stakeholders and partners. This position requires a methodical thinker with excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills and a proven track record in project management and reporting. Providing rigorous operational support and programme administration as needed.
Essential Criteria / Key Skills:
A recognised project management qualification and/or significant experience of managing multiple projects within the charity or health sector.

- Demonstrable success of working with a broad range of partners from acquisition through to implementation.
- Strong presentation skills.

The role
This role requires translation of quantitative and qualitative data into clear, actionable insights and stories that can be communicated effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders across the charity. The role also includes supporting the Evidence & Insight (E&I) team with the collation of existing evidence, working with external agencies and partners to support the delivery of targeted E&I projects, developing networks, and horizon scanning across the sector to keep up to date on E&I programmes. The post-holder will have key involvement in supporting the communication of the E&I team’s work across the charity by developing and coordinating a centralised resource for up-to-date reports, findings, and statistics. The post holder will also contribute strategically to Evidence & Insight operations and documentation.
About you
We are looking for someone with a proactive mindset, who has a creative approach to exploring data.Ideally you will have already had experience of working in the charity or non-profit sectors and have strong analytical and technical skills including an understanding of CRM systems, conducting statistical analysis such as regression and hypothesis testing and be proficient in data management and manipulation using tools such as Excel, SQL, Power BI, SPSS, R or similar. You will be adept at working collaboratively with team members and external stakeholders to support the delivery of targeted projects and be comfortable working in a fast paced environment with shifting priorities.

Key Responsibilities
Philanthropy Leadership
- Leads strategy, planning and operation of the major gift, trusts & foundations and corporate giving channels.
- Develops annual business plans and budgets in collaboration with the Executive Director (ED) and Executive Team.
- Strategically identifies and qualifies potential new donors to grow the prospect pipeline.
- Prepares development communications: solicitation and acknowledgement letters; case statements and proposals; stewardship reports; briefing notes; gift agreements.
- Identifies, cultivates, and solicits major gift commitments from high-net-worth individuals
- Monitors activity of the team, ensuring that benchmarks are achieved, including submission of solicitations, donor contacts and meetings, confirmations of donations, and other performance indicators as related to the team checking their portfolio.

About the role
This pivotal role will see you help deliver the Individual Giving (IG) and Retention strategies, working with colleagues across teams in IG to increase lifetime value of cash, regular giving and lottery supporters and collaborating with peers and Heads of team. Working with the pathfinder partnership, you will create, develop and deliver tailored support pathways to women across Greater Manchester who have experienced sexual violence and present with additional complex mental health needs.
The pathfinder partnership joins up services in the VCSE sector across Greater Manchester (including We Are Survivors, Greater Manchester Rape Crisis & MASH) and works closely with NHS services to provide survivors of sexual violence with increased access to mental and physical health support.
You will:
- Design and develop individually tailored care plans and pathways for clients in the service.
- Undertake individual risk and needs assessments for clients entering the pathway.
- Deliver 1:1 trauma-informed, survivor-centred therapeutic interventions.
- Work within a multi-agency partnership to liaise with other health and social care staff from a range of agencies.
- Accurately record clinical interventions and maintain a high standard of record keeping.
- Engage in monthly clinical supervision and regular line management as directed.
- Provide accurate client reports to pathway partnership that represent the clients’ wishes and needs.
- Participate in the development and implementation of continuous service and system improvement.

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men and it’s harming too many lives. At Prostate Cancer UK, one of our top priorities is funding research that leads to real change. It’s vital we do our best to make sure this research makes a meaningful difference to men’s lives, and that’s where you come in.
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Senior Research Impact Officer to help us understand, communicate and accelerate the impact of the research we fund.
This role sits in the Research Impact and Engagement Team. You’ll be working at the heart of how we track the progress of completed research projects, share success stories and support researchers in turning their findings into ways to improve the lives of men affected by prostate cancer. You’ll take responsibility for half of our portfolio of completed research projects. This means building strong relationships with funded researchers, understanding how their work is progressing, and supporting them to achieve meaningful impact for men affected by prostate cancer. Using your scientific knowledge and communication skills you’ll translate research outputs into clear, engaging stories to demonstrate the value of our work. Using your understanding of the steps needed to take research from bench to bedside you’ll help monitor the success of our completed research portfolio.
What we want from you
This role is a vital part of how we deliver on our mission, to stop prostate cancer harming men and their families. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about research making an impact and hold a bio-medical science degree (or a degree in a related subject), with research experience. You can understand complex scientific information presented in reports, publications or presentations and explain these complex concepts in a simple and engaging way to a range of audiences including peers within the charity, as well as men affected by the disease. You’ll be motivated to consistently perform to the highest standards, with an eagerness to trial new ideas, identify new opportunities and solve problems.
In any one day you could be helping develop an impact case study for the website, interviewing researchers for project updates, supporting delivery of a research event, or using social media to disseminate the work of our funded researchers. Your primary focus will be on the impact of our funded research, working closely with colleagues in the Research Impact and Engagement Team, as well as working closely with our research funding team, and with other teams across the charity.

What will I be doing?
Working with the Product Manager to account manage and develop various high-value relationships with 3rd party event partners across the portfolio ensuring that we hit our income goals by achieving participation targets
Pitching externally for new or renewal business, including completing applications and/or meeting event organisers in person
Building networks with event organisers and key partners within the Sports sector
Building knowledge, relationships and stewarding key internal relationships to maximise the value we get out of our partnerships
Responsible for creating and managing Sports Team web pages and social media pages and producing innovative and bespoke content that is user friendly across all devices and that drives engagement and participation
Attending on-the-day of events to steward key participants and event partners
Working with our Event Delivery on key events to plan on-the-day activity and activations
Taking responsibility for ensuring targets (participation and financial) are fulfilled for your accounts, working with event organisers to improve performance as needed

What skills are we looking for?
