The Fundraising Manager is expected to be an integral part of the leadership team to manage the delivery of the Fundraising strategy.

• To work with the Fundraising Team to develop and deliver Halton Haven Hospice’s community engagement.  To achieve this by identifying, prospecting, supporting and facilitating the development of volunteer networks, individuals, businesses and fundraising groups across the Hospice’s area.
• To raise funds to meet agreed targets and objectives and be responsible for identifying, engaging and winning new support as well as maintaining and developing existing support from the community.
• Take responsibility for the line management of the Fundraising Team. and support and coach the development of the Fundraising Team.
• Liaise with all relevant colleagues to ensure that events and campaigns are promoted throughout the community.  To include providing content and gathering stories for web pages, social media and other communications as well as online resources for those interested in fundraising for the Hospice.
• To promote Halton Haven Hospice by organising and/or delivering talks to local community groups, schools and nurseries, businesses and other organisations.
• Record and process donations, correspondence and permissions on the database in accordance with the requirements of GDPR.  Acknowledge support and arrange cheque presentations; liaising with other departments as appropriate.
• The post holder will be expected to manage their own workload, work under their own initiative and provide feedback producing reports and event evaluations both verbally and in writing as required.
• To undertake any other duties which may reasonably fall within the role of the post which will include attending events in the evening and at weekends.

We’re Recruiting – Fundraising Manager 

From your UK home-base you’ll be flying the flag for the charity outside of Wales as a Fundraiser. You’ll put on quality fundraising events and build strong relationships through our reputation and Welsh links making a difference when it comes to people with cancer.

Picture being our Fundraising Manager and putting on fundraising events such as dinners and corporate sponsored events like golf or racing days. And, linking with London in Wales Week promoting networking opportunities with grant-givers, major donors, commercial, and corporate sources. Plus, you’ll help manage and set up our high value business network committees outside of Wales which we’ve already made a start on.

In this Fundraising job you can expect to be doing things like:

•  Sales & Relationship Management – you’ll be looking after a portfolio of our new and established individual and corporate high net worth donors
• Business Growth Development – you’ll have five figure income targets to meet so will plan your client cultivation work to report and present how your delivery is going
• Collaborating – you’ll interact with our key internal stakeholders about your work and join a team of colleagues across the business where sharing and building on ideas and taking on feedback is welcomed
•  Networking – you’ll promote ways our donors and prospective clients can engage with our work and navigate relationships to grow and build connections

The details

Working 28 hours per week flexibly you’ll need a UK work base. The salary is £29,600 (or £37,000 FTE)

Days and hours can be built in and around our standard operating week as set out in our staff benefits. We’re open to making the working week fit into your own lifestyle and the nature and needs of this type of Fundraising role. With a lot of autonomy in where you run events to meet your annual target there may need to be some travel to a city/location where you’re generating the income or some events you run may be in evenings or weekends. 

Around going to work events for the role the rest of the job can be done from home anywhere in the UK. Our Cardiff City Centre Head Office is always available to you too. Most Team meetings and day to day colleague work is handled remotely but we’d expect to see you in the office for things such as our quarterly team meetings.

We are looking for an experienced Trust and Corporate Manager - to be known as a High Value Partnerships Manager - to join our small and friendly fundraising team. Management Role

The DAPO Project Manager will work closely with the DAPO Programme Manager and SafeLives Finance Manager to support the successful delivery of the programme and maintain effective commissioning relationships with service providers across each pilot area. Role Summary

We are looking for a motivated and dynamic individual who is passionate about collaboration and community-led change. • Manage a personal portfolio through all stages of the fundraising cycle, within an overall fundraising team target, demonstrating an understanding of how to mitigate risk, maximise return on investment and give a focus to unrestricted income generation.

• Manage and cultivate prospect and funder relationships in their entirety, with responsibility for planning briefings, proposal writing, stakeholder engagement, reporting, stewardship, delivery, and evaluation.

• Research, prepare, and submit high-quality grant applications to charitable trusts, foundations, and other funding bodies utilising different funder approaches including bids, applications, proposals and EOIs, all delivering high-quality experiences and materials to secure funding. 

• Monitor and report on the progress of fundraising activities and grant applications, providing regular updates to the management team.

• Plan and write bespoke engagement plans (e.g. stewardship reports), including report-writing and impact analysis, and coordinating event and PR milestone activities.

• Work with internal & external stakeholders to develop new projects and ensure donor requirements and engagement opportunities are met.

Experience (essential)

• Experience in a charity fundraising role.

• A successful track record of building strong internal and external relationships and generating income from a broad range of funders

• Experience in fundraising preferably from Trust and Foundations; both family, corporate and individual, and partnership bid development.

• Experience in all aspects of donor cultivation (research, writing, follow-up, and stewardship), required

• Experience closing gifts at the six-figure level, including complex gifts using a variety of giving vehicles

• Pipeline development and management thereof, to ensure multi year planning and team financial target contributions are reflected.

• Proven track record in achieving financial and non-financial targets and in forecasting/ setting KPI’s

• Experience in identifying and acquiring new business opportunities and creatively retaining long term funder relationships

We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of charity finance, skilled in Xero, bookkeeping, payroll, reporting, audit preparation, HMRC filings and support with funding reports. You may be an individual already set up for freelance work, or a firm used to providing finance support to charities or arts organisations. You’ll work closely with the Chief Executive and liaise with trustees and external auditors as needed.
