The Foundation is recruiting a dynamic Senior Legal Officer to help expand, strengthen and innovate our TrustLaw programme in the Europe, Middle East and North Africa (EMENA) region. Reporting to the Senior Legal Programme Manager, EMENA, and working closely with the regional Programme Manager and Officer, the Senior Legal Officer will manage legal pro bono projects from TrustLaw’s community of civil society organisations, social enterprises and independent media organisations, and support the team on thought leadership initiatives.
About the Role
As a Senior Legal Officer at Thomson Reuters, you will:

Scoping legal pro bono requests from our community of civil society organisations, social enterprises and independent media organisations so that the requests clearly explain the legal needs for lawyers to advise on.

Managing pro bono requests, including connecting the pro bono client with lawyers, collecting feedback and following up with the parties involved.

Designing, scoping and overseeing cross-border legal research projects, tools, resources and other content that address the most critical social and advocacy needs facing our members.

Proactive supporting of TrustLaw’s regional portfolio of law firms, corporations and other key stakeholders in EMENA to ensure TrustLaw regional quality and growth metrics are met.

Actively pursuing and cultivating relationships with law firms to secure their commitment to pro bono projects, employing persuasive communication strategies to highlight the impactful role they play in advancing social and environmental objectives through TrustLaw initiatives.

Administering the service, for example through inputting into databases, planners, and trackers, running Salesforce reports, ensuring members have up-to-date contact information, inputting into quarterly reports, responding to requests for information, etc. in a timely manner.

Contributing to the TrustLaw global annual strategy, and supporting the implementation of a regional strategy to expand and activate TrustLaw membership, ensuring we serve the best NGOs, social enterprises and independent media organisations, as well as the strongest law firms and corporate in-house legal teams.

Executing a robust communications, engagement and outreach strategy that includes member events and promotion of TrustLaw publications.

Maintaining a high profile in EMENA by attending, supporting and coordinating events for TrustLaw and the Thomson Reuters Foundation, including by speaking publicly on our work at panels, roundtables, panel discussions, workshops, trainings, conferences or other speaking engagements.
About You
You are a fit for the role of Senior Legal Officer if your background includes:

Legal experience (preferably with at least 1 year post qualification experience) working either in a law firm, in-house legal team or non-profit organisation.

A good understanding of the legal and NGO sectors in EMENA (and, in particular, the UK), and an understanding of the challenges and opportunities that pro bono opportunities bring to law firms and legal teams;

Experience of project management or co-ordination is highly favourable.

Excellent time management and organisational skills including the ability to effectively and independently manage multiple matters and projects in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent research, drafting and analytical skills, with strong attention to detail.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – able to establish and maintain positive working relationships internally and externally with people from a wide variety of cultures and backgrounds.

This is a full-time role based in London, with a minimum of two days in our office in Canary Wharf. The salary is relative to the local charitable sector and will be commensurate with experience.

Email Marketing
- Plan and execute targeted, data-driven email marketing campaigns aligned with the eoa’s business calendar and goals, using segmentation, A/B testing, and marketing automation tools.

Website Management
- Manage and maintain the eoa website, ensuring timely, relevant, and SEO-optimised content through collaboration with content creators.

- Ensure website compliance with accessibility, GDPR, and brand guidelines, coordinating with all stakeholders as needed.
Digital Strategy and Analytics
- Align and optimise digital activity across all our digital channels (website, membership community platform, and social channels) with eoa goals, collaborating across teams and supporting cross-channel campaigns.
- Monitor performance and trends, reporting on KPIs and providing insights for improvement, while staying current with best practices.

About you
- Proven experience in successful email campaign marketing and website management.

The Philanthropy team at Alzheimer’s Research UK (ARUK) is responsible for securing donations from individual major donors, grant-making trusts and foundations. The role of Philanthropy Officer is key to the success of the Philanthropy team, working closely with other team members and stakeholders across ARUK.
At the heart of the Philanthropy team is our desire to help our supporters change the world, in a way that is meaningful and exciting to them.
We work with a growing portfolio of individual donors and charitable trusts, getting to know them - through meetings, events, lab tours, reporting on the impact of their donations and regular touchpoints - so that we can match their philanthropic goals to our research initiatives. We work hard to provide bespoke stewardship, build relationships, and impart scientific information to promote ARUK and give donors the best possible experience of working with us.
By nurturing these relationships, we gain long-term meaningful support from donors and their networks, and as a result can secure significant donations which range all the way up to eight figures.

Main duties and responsibilities of the role:
Relationship building and income generation
· Build relationships with a portfolio of current and prospective major donors and charitable trusts, gauging their level of interest in our work, providing them with opportunities to engage with ARUK, and encouraging them to invest in our research.
· Develop an engagement plan for each relationship, taking full ownership and moving each donor / trust forward through qualification, solicitation and stewardship.
· Fundraise for different aspects of ARUK’s work, including key research initiatives such as the Drug Discovery Alliance.
· Think ambitiously and creatively in producing compelling and persuasive written communications for donors, including letters, proposals, applications and progress reports.
· Solicit donors for gifts at face-to-face meetings, where appropriate.
· Provide an exceptional level of stewardship to donors, ensuring they are thanked and updated and that their relationship with ARUK grows in depth and value.
· Think innovatively and support the team’s goal to embed the use of digital in our work.
· Work with senior volunteers and senior staff, where appropriate, empowering them to open their networks and ask for support.
· Build and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues in the Science Communications, Media and Engagement, Research and Finance teams.
CRM
· Ensure donor records are kept up-to-date through daily use of Salesforce.
· Use Salesforce to track income and activity, and as a planning tool.
Events
· Support the Donor Relations Manager in planning bespoke events / lab tours for our supporters, by providing guest lists, communicating with invitees and updating Salesforce records.
· Represent ARUK at Philanthropy team events, and at other ARUK events where major donors or the representatives of charitable trusts may be attending.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Halton Haven Hospice as one of our Fundraising Managers, leading our fundraising team to achieve ambitious targets through a diverse portfolio of income streams.
We are looking for an experienced fundraiser who can develop and grow our income streams, including running successful events and campaigns, building and maintaining relationships with corporate partners and working closely with our community supporters and organisations. Key Responsibilities
Supporter Care and Engagement
· Frontline Supporter Engagement: You will be the first port of call for our supporters, managing inbound communications across phone, email, and various digital platforms.
· This includes warmly handling enquiries, taking and processing donations, and escalating complex issues to ensure a seamless and positive experience for everyone.
· Creative Communications & Gratitude: You will take the lead on thanking our supporters and making them feel valued.
· This involves drafting personalised acknowledgements, finding creative ways to share the impact of their support, and sending welcoming messages to new event participants.
· Collaborative Team Support: Act as a key support pillar for the Public Fundraising Team, especially during peak times and events.
· Your role will be dynamic, involving everything from on-the-day event assistance to managing logistics and taking ownership of specific fundraising activities.
· Digital Community Management: Help us maintain a vibrant and supportive online presence by monitoring shared inboxes and assisting with the moderation of our social media communities during key campaigns and fundraising challenges.
· Process Improvement: Develop and maintain essential resources, such as FAQ documents, to streamline our processes and ensure consistent, high-quality information is shared with our supporters.
· In person support for several key owned events and other organised events each year, outside of core business hours as needed, for example – by supporting our London and Brighton marathon teams on the day (time off in lieu will be available).
Supporting Public Fundraising Campaigning and Administration
· Provide essential administrative support across the Events, Individual Giving, and Major Donor fundraising teams, contributing to the efficient operation of campaigns and activities.
· Work collaboratively with the Finance team to ensure accurate and timely processing, logging, and acknowledgement of incoming donations and fundraising income.
· Perform data entry tasks, including setting up new regular gifts, and creating and updating communication records within the CRM system (Access CRM).
· Support the administration and stewardship journeys for fundraising events, assisting with tasks such as registration support, participant communication, and logistics administration.
· Provide surge capacity support during busy periods, particularly for high-volume activities like Facebook Challenge moderation and campaign-specific administration.
· Assist with the preparation and mailing of supporter communications, appeals, and stewardship materials.
· Some on the day support for fundraising events and logistics planning and delivery. This may involve some work outside of core working hours for which TOIL would be available.
Collaboration and Operational Efficiency
· Work effectively within our evolving Agile framework, which empowers teams and individuals to work collaboratively with transparency, with key teams to plan, prioritise, and deliver high-quality supporter engagement activities.
· Build and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues across all teams, including Public Fundraising, Resources, Patient Projects, Finance and Communications, to ensure a joined-up supporter experience.
· Identify and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency and supporter satisfaction, wherever possible.
Database and Compliance
· Adhere to all Prostate Cancer Research policies, procedures, and the staff code of conduct.
· Collect and maintain records and data both on CRM and elsewhere regarding supporter interactions, enquiry themes, supporter feedback, questions, interests etc. For helping us to improve.
· Maintain a proactive approach to learning and professional development, seeking opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to supporter engagement, fundraising administration, and the cause of Prostate Cancer Research.

The National Flood Forum is partnering Rochdale Borough Council to deliver one of 25 national projects comprising Defra’s Flood and Coastal Resilience and Innovation Programme (FCRIP) which is managed by the Environment Agency and runs until March 2027. The programme aims to test and create new, innovative approaches to flood and coastal resilience that can be adapted and rolled out more widely as good practice and new ways of delivering positive change.
Our project centres on two frequently flood affected and vulnerable neighbourhoods in the Roch Valley in Rochdale district The communities are complex and include a high incidence of social, economic and environmental disadvantage. It aims to develop a more holistic approach to flood and climate resilience with better management of residual flood risks through new, innovative cross-sectoral approaches that also address climate justice and both flood and fuel poverty. The project will deliver a step change in flood literacy and community participation, increase peoples’ capabilities to respond to flooding, improve flood and climate resilience of ageing housing stock, enhance surface water management, neighbourhood water conservation, natural flood risk management and local green infrastructure and develop better financial resilience for homes and businesses.
