Purpose
This is an exciting new role supporting the delivery of the events and partnerships programme within a leading mental health charity.
We are looking for someone with a love for events and a passion for supporting people, who is excited by the prospect of raising funds that make a difference for young people’s mental health. You will be an excellent communicator, highly organised, and able to work on multiple projects concurrently. You will be committed to delivering an exceptional supporter experience for our event participants and corporate and community partners. Experience within the third sector is desirable but not a necessity.
As an Events and Partnerships Officer, your role is to support the planning, delivery and promotion of an exciting calendar of fundraising events, and support our corporate and community partners in their fundraising efforts.

Key responsibilities and duties:

Supporting our events programme

• Supporting the overall delivery of our events programme, working closely with the Senior Events and Partnerships Manager, Head of Fundraising and voluntary fundraising committees.
• Take a lead role on the planning, delivery and evaluation of a number of events within the calendar - which may include budgeting, liaising with third-party event organisers, logistics, risk assessment, promotion, participant engagement and post-event analysis.
• Monitor online fundraising and maintain event income and supporter records in the database, working closely with the Fundraising Assistant and finance team on processing income and invoices.
• Act as a point of contact for our various voluntary fundraising committees, supporting them with their activities, and providing event guidance and administrative support to enable them to deliver successful events and reach income targets.
• Working closely with our communications team, co-ordinate the marketing and promotion of our events programme. This will include: writing copy, building emails, supporting social activity, multi-channel promotion planning and supporter engagement campaigns.
• Collaborate on the design and production of event materials, including the development of event-specific fundraising packs and downloadable resources.
• Represent the Charlie Waller Trust at events as required which will include ad-hoc evenings and weekends for which time off in lieu will be given.

Supporting our partnerships

• Co-ordinate partnerships with community and corporate supporters, building long-term relationships and ensuring that partners feel valued and partnership objectives are met.
• Steward relationships with key people within our community and corporate partners, engaging them with the cause.
• Send fundraising materials (including t-shirts, information packs, etc.) to individual supporters, corporate partners and community groups raising money for us.

General responsibilities and duties

• Ensure that systems and processes are used as expected, and that our database is being updated and utilised as the central source of information.
• Provide regular updates on progress against agreed objectives and contribute to wider departmental fundraising reports as required.Ensure compliance to data protection, safeguarding, confidentiality and relevant organisational policies and procedures.
• Other duties as may be reasonably prescribed by the trust, appropriate to the grade and responsibilities of the post.
• Liaise with a wide variety of people and organisations including supporters of the charity, trainers and funders.
• Routine call handling as part of the wider office administrative team.

As a Floating Support Worker in our Young Persons Service in Greenwich, you’ll empower young people take charge of their lives and create lasting change. About the role

You will be part of the regional office team, managing a group of casework administrators. The team provides specialist administrative support and act as a single point of contact to SSAFA branch-based volunteers ensuring that SSAFA beneficiaries receive consistent, timely, and high-quality service. The RCM role will involve developing and maintaining collaborative working relationships with volunteers, including branch-based casework managers.  Additionally, the RCM will occasionally assist the Regional Casework Co-ordinators with call handling, signposting, and triaging initial client enquiries.

To help you establish yourself in this post you will receive excellent training and induction to SSAFA.  You will influence the processes and procedures within the regional office as it develops, working closely with a dedicated team under the guidance of the Regional Manager.

Whilst the post is homebased, to be eligible for this role you are required to live in the North West region consisting of Cheshire, Cumbria, Greater Manchester, Isle of Man, Lancashire and Merseyside. You will occasionally be required to travel within the North West Region or to other locations.

About the team

The regional office is a “virtual” office and supports the six SSAFA branches in the North West of England region, as the branch-based volunteers deliver casework for SSAFA beneficiaries.  The successful candidate will work as part of a larger support team which will include 5 Casework Administrators and a Regional Manager.  All team members are home based, residing in the region.

About you

To excel in this role, you should have a solid educational background and experience in managing employees, as well as overseeing and reporting on service delivery.  You should have a proven ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, achieving results through negotiation and influence.  Previous experience of working with volunteers would be advantageous.  You will have used Microsoft Office 365 to a high standard and be capable of learning a computerised case management system quickly. Additionally, you should be skilled with numerical data.

The successful candidate will be capable of planning and managing their own workload, with minimal supervision and have considerable experience of managing accounts.

It would be desirable to have an understanding of the way of life for today’s Armed Forces, veterans and their families. An understanding of the voluntary sector would be valuable, and the military charity sector landscape across the North West Region would be beneficial.  Commitment to SSAFA’s values including equality, diversity and inclusion is essential.

Good Faith is seeking our first People & Culture Manager – a hands-on, strategic HR generalist who is excited to shape and scale a people-first culture in a growing, purpose-driven organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as first point of contact for HR matters, ensuring compliance with UK employment law and best practice.

Person Specification

HR Operations & Compliance

• 3–5 years of relevant HR experience, ideally within a small or purpose-led organisation.

• Demonstrated experience managing sensitive employee relations issues.

• Strong working knowledge of UK employment law, HR policy development, and HR best practice.

• Demonstrable awareness of emerging trends in People and HR, including the opportunities and ethical considerations presented by AI and automation

• CIPD qualification (Level 5 or above), or equivalent experience.

Whether assisting students and residents on a daily basis, supporting weekend residentials, conferences and events, or working with the team which delivers our annual Foundation Celebration, this role is at the heart of providing a welcoming campus environment.

The Campus Accommodation and Hospitality Manager will lead a team of reception and housekeeping staff to deliver and administer a full range of campus services. As well as providing an efficient and welcoming reception service, this includes the management of meeting rooms, accommodation booking, achieving and maintaining high standards of housekeeping, and overseeing contracted catering and refreshment services. The postholder will be part of a committed staff team, giving and receiving support to deliver the operational needs of the Foundation in a way which reflects our ethos of hospitality, care and community. 

This is a full-time role, with some evening and weekend work during weekend residentials and other events. The postholder will also participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota.

Key responsibilities

1. To manage the delivery of accommodation and hospitality operations.

• Foster a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for students, staff, and visitors from diverse backgrounds and denominations.
• Oversee the day-to-day running of hospitality services including accommodation, catering and menus, and support for conferences and events.
• Represent the staff team on hospitality matters at the Foundation’s residents’ and community forum meetings

Chapter One is a dynamic, growing charity with a vision of a world in which all children have the literacy skills needed to thrive. Our mission is to close the reading gap by providing children with one-to-one support at the time they need it most. 

Our unique Online Reading Volunteer programme currently supports around 3,600 children a year. It pairs disadvantaged, struggling five to eight-year old (KS1) readers with reading support volunteers who come from over 170 local and national businesses. The volunteer ask is very focused: readers commit 30 minutes a week to read with a child using a bespoke digital platform for an entire academic year. The results are transformative, boosting children's reading confidence and ability.

· Focus on breaking the cycle of abuse by offering targeted programs for children exposed to domestic abuse, providing them with the skills and support needed to overcome trauma and achieve their potential.

· Deliver age-appropriate workshops on topics such as healthy relationships, emotional resilience, and conflict resolution, equipping individuals with the tools to avoid abusive situations.

· To work in conjunction with adult support workers to assess the whole family and to provide appropriate support to adult survivors and their children.

· To develop and deliver a programme of activities and events to assist children in overcoming the negative effects of domestic abuse.

·  To act as an advocate for children, attending school, court and child protection case conferences where required.

About Chapter One

Chapter One is a small but growing charity, working to ensure that every child has 1:1 reading support at the time they need it most.

Our Early Literacy Intervention (ELI) programme provides daily, tailored 1:1, 7 minute phonics sessions for children who are behind in phonics. Using a bespoke technology tool that can be aligned to any school phonics scheme, a trained Early Reading Interventionist works individually with target children. We currently have ELIs working in 11 schools in London, East Sussex and the West Midlands, with plans to expand. Data from 2024-25 showed that children receiving ELI support had a phonics screen pass rate of 95% (10% above school cohort averages).

About the role

Working 30 hours per week over 5 days, for 44 weeks a year, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of our Early Literacy Intervention (ELI) programme in the UK. You will manage a team of part-time ELI practitioners, visiting them regularly in school to provide supervision, quality assurance and support. You will lead on the relationships with schools involved in the programme: organising and overseeing programme delivery; sharing regular data summaries and ensuring pupil progress. As the programme grows, you will also be responsible for the recruitment and training of new ELIs.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual who has recent experience of teaching and/or leading phonics with an excellent understanding of phonics pedagogy and the ability to train and develop our ELI practitioners. The successful candidate must be willing to travel to the schools we work with, initially in (but not limited to) London, East Sussex and the West Midlands.

Key Responsibilities
Staff management

• Lead and manage a team of Chapter One Early Literacy Interventionists (ELIs) to effectively deliver the Early Literacy intervention programme in schools.
• Visit ELIs in school regularly to provide supervision, quality assurance and support.
• Recruit, train and induct new ELI practitioners as required.
• Design and create training materials for new ELIs.
• Provide annual training for teachers who have pupils taking part in the programme.
• Conduct monthly supervision meetings and annual appraisals of ELI practitioners and clearly document these.
• Lead the fortnightly ELI meeting, supporting with any issues which may arise.

Programme delivery, school liaison and evaluation

• Ensure ELIs baseline each pupil when they begin and track pupil progress throughout the year.
• Proactively monitor session numbers in all schools and support ELIs to increase session numbers if necessary.
• Conduct termly data meetings with schools to share data trackers and ensure that schools are fully informed about pupil progress.
• Lead on the documentation of key processes and step by step guides for the ELI team and ensure that these processes are followed.
• Analyse pupil data both for ELI pupils and non-ELI pupils to produce reports and identify trends, sharing with the Evidence and Impact Manager as required.
• In collaboration with the Schools Development Manager, conduct annual renewal conversations with partner schools.

Platform development

• Be the first port of call for ELI practitioners for the operation of the Chapter One Early Literacy platform, escalating issues as necessary.
• Liaise with the platform development team to feedback on platform bugs and areas of improvement.
• Proactively identify new directions for the development of the platform, in line with the latest pedagogy and research on early reading, and liaise with the Product Manager and development teams as required.

General responsibilities

• Liaise with Managers in all other departments as required.
• Participate in business planning and objective setting and attend the School and Parent Engagement group meeting each term.

Evolve Counselling is looking for an efficient, qualified and experienced mental health counselling manager, to take charge of our service while the postholder takes maternity leave in January 2026. Our ideal candidate for this temporary cover is a BACP registered member counsellor, with strong managerial and administrative skills and experience, confident at handling the working needs of a large remote team and delivering a detailed and personal service to our larger contract clients as well as private individuals.
