The Department of Chemistry is a world-leading centre of research and teaching, and sits within the broader Mathematical, Physical & Life Sciences (MPLS) Division of the University. Recent research breakthroughs in Oxford Chemistry have been groundbreaking. These include a new diagnostic breath test for early lung disease; a Nobel Prize in Chemistry for Oxford alumnus Professor Richard Robson for inventing metal-organic frameworks to store gases and purify water; the mechanochemical recycling of ‘forever chemicals’ into a valuable raw material; and the discovery into how cells sense and absorb oxygen guiding the development of new medicines for cancer, anaemia, and heart disease.
This is an exciting time to join our Development team and to work specifically with the Department of Chemistry. The role of Senior Development Executive – Chemistry is a critical one in enabling Oxford to empower the world’s greatest minds to work on new and emerging research challenges, at the same time as training the leaders of tomorrow in the field of Chemistry. Working closely with the Head of Chemistry, as well as some of the most inspiring scientists in the world, you will forge relationships with existing and new donors to the Department. You will have the support of excellent colleagues across the sciences at Oxford as well as the wider Development & Alumni Engagement office.
About you
You are an experienced philanthropic fundraiser with a strong track record of securing major gifts, a confident approach and the ability to think creatively. Your ability to build rapport and relationships swiftly will enable you to lead on major gift fundraising (securing donations of £100k-£1m+), working with a range of donors (corporates, trusts and individuals). Your ability to establish credibility and foster trust across a wide range of internal and external stakeholders will be key to your success. A professional background or personal interest in STEM will be important although you do not need to be a Chemistry or sciences graduate: we are looking for an enthusiast for knowledge!

The Data Assistant will form an integral part of our Operations team, working closely with our Database Manager to support the effective management, accuracy and use of Fight for Sight’s data across systems.
This role plays a key part in maintaining the integrity of our CRM, processing and reporting on data, and contributing to the charity’s wider data transformation project – helping to modernise how Fight for Sight captures, integrates and uses data to drive insight and decision-making.
The post holder will support the development of new data processes, dashboards and analytics tools, working with the Database Manager to implement the organisation’s new data platform and reporting infrastructure.

Job Purpose
- To lead and deliver Butterfly Conservation’s strategic aims for nature recovery in Scotland, maximising our impact for butterflies, moths and people.
- To implement BC’s objectives through leadership of the Scotland Nature Recovery team, setting and managing budgets, targets and workplans while inspiring and enabling staff to achieve their best.
- To develop and strengthen collaboration with BC staff, volunteers, stakeholders and partners to drive progress on BC’s targeted species recovery programmes, landscape-scale initiatives and wider nature recovery in Scotland.
Main Responsibilities
- Drive delivery of BC’s strategic objectives through designing and managing workplans for the Nature Recovery Scotland team, translating ideas into action and ensuring effective reporting to monitor and share evidence of our impact.
- Lead BC’s species recovery work for priority butterflies and moths in Scotland, setting objectives and driving targeted action to recover populations of some of our most threatened species.
- Lead our landscape-scale conservation work in Scotland, developing and overseeing projects using butterflies and moths as indicators of nature recovery across a landscape.
- Develop and deliver new approaches to contribute to broader nature recovery across Scotland, including exploring potential nature markets and developing our advice and services to reach more partners.
- Lead, manage and be accountable for the Nature Recovery team in Scotland, including a small number of direct line management reports. - Lead the development of new nature recovery projects, including partner liaison, project planning and design, budgeting and reporting to funders. Collaborate with Nature Recovery, Fundraising, and Finance teams to build a case for support and develop bids for external funding through partnerships, appeals and services.
- Oversee the management of BC’s Nature Reserves in Scotland through the work of the Conservation Managers, in collaboration with the Ecology Services team, to maximise their contribution to nature recovery.
- Be responsible for Scotland Nature Recovery budgets and their control, working closely with the Finance team to ensure effective planning and timely financial reporting.
- Ensure close working between BC staff, Branches and key volunteers in delivering co-ordinated nature recovery action towards BC’s strategic goals across Scotland.
- Support the Engagement and Volunteering team in the development and delivery of volunteering activity across Scotland, putting people at the heart of our work.

Who you are:

Key Responsibilities:
Referral Enablement
- Process new referrals submitted by Community Referral Partners, health and social care professionals, ensuring accurate data entry, and excellent stakeholder management both through both written and verbal communication.
- Proactively manage a dynamic caseload of 150–200 wishes at any given time, ensuring each wish application progresses efficiently through the various stages of the wish journey in alignment with established referral targets and service timelines. This includes monitoring progress, identifying and resolving potential delays, maintaining accurate records, and self-allocating new referrals in line with organisational priorities
- Take ownership of the weekly coordination and distribution of wish referral materials, ensuring all communications and resources are prepared, reviewed, and delivered accurately and on time to key stakeholders—including Community Referral Partners, wish families, and internal teams—to support a seamless and consistent referral process.
- Monitor and maintain the accuracy and integrity of data across internal systems to ensure full compliance with service level agreements (SLAs), data protection regulations, and organisational protocols. This includes conducting regular data audits, identifying and correcting discrepancies, and working collaboratively with internal teams to uphold high standards of data quality, which are essential for effective decision-making, reporting, and service delivery.
- Collaborate with the Wish Discovery Coordinator to facilitate the effective involvement of Make-A-Wish UK volunteers, ensuring families receive the support they need throughout the wish experience. This includes coordinating volunteer assignments, arranging interpreter services where required, and promoting a seamless, inclusive, and supportive journey for every wish family.
- Ensure all referral processes, service level agreements (SLAs), and Make-A-Wish UK eligibility criteria are consistently followed, maintaining full compliance with organisational policies and procedures. This includes accurately assessing referral information against eligibility requirements, escalating any concerns, queries, or ambiguities to the appropriate team or line manager for review, and ensuring all decisions are documented and communicated clearly. Additionally, maintain strong communication with stakeholders to ensure clarity around eligibility decisions and support a fair, transparent referral process.

- Support the Wish Referral Team Manager and Wish Referral Lead and Make-A-Wish UK in achieving our goal to reach every eligible child within the UK.
Stakeholder Communication
- Act as the first point of contact for all Wish Granting (WG)–related queries and enquiries, responding promptly and professionally via email, phone, WhatsApp, and post. Ensure that all stakeholders—including wish families, volunteers, and referral partners—receive a high-quality, compassionate, and consistent customer service experience
- Ensure accurate communications with referral partners, wish children and their families/guardians, employees, and volunteers in relation to wish applications.
- Ensure that our service level agreements are met, and stakeholder expectations are sensitively and professionally managed in line with our policies.
- Liaise with other charity partners to assess whether referred wish children meet Make-A-Wish UK’s eligibility criteria. Where referrals do not meet the criteria, collaborate with the Wish Referral Partner Manager to ensure that referrers receive clear, constructive feedback and gain a full understanding of Make-A-Wish UK’s eligibility requirements, supporting transparent and informed referral practices.
Systems and Processes:
- Collaborate with the Wish Referral Team Manager to identify and implement improvements to the wish journey experience, ensuring it is seamless, inclusive, and positive for all stakeholders. Contribute feedback, insights, and suggestions to enhance processes, communication, and overall service delivery in line with organisational goal
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within our CRM system (Salesforce), ensuring data integrity and consistency, at all times.
- Follow internal processes to ensure wish children and their families move through the wish journey smoothly, and always in line with our service level agreements.
- Actively participate and engage in project work, providing constructive insights and ideas to enhance the wish journey for every wish child.
Safeguarding and Data Governance:
- Ensure all wish records and related data are stored and maintained on Make-A-Wish Information Systems and that all data is managed within set policies and procedures (such as data privacy, liability, consent forms, marketing permissions etc.)

The Head of Marketing and Communications plays a leading role in developing the gallery’s brand, growing and diversifying audiences, and strengthening the visibility of the organisation locally, nationally and internationally. Principal Responsibilities
Marketing and Communications
- To grow and diversify Modern Art Oxford’s visiting and online audiences by leading audience development, communications and digital marketing strategies that will enable the organisation to build on its brand and profile, and strengthen its visibility in Oxford, the UK and beyond.
- To develop and oversee implementation of all marketing, communications and PR activity including media relations, social media and digital activity, development of marketing and branding collateral, and on-site interpretation.
- To formulate with the direction of the Director a transformational vision for the use of digital technologies to drive engagement and interaction with our online audiences.
- To manage effective and efficient relationships with any external PR and marketing consultants and companies.

Join our small and fast paced team as a supporter care officer. Reporting to the Supporter Care Manager, you will deliver excellent service to supporters, people with lung conditions, and health care professionals, providing them with information about the charity, supporting them with queries about donations, and being the first point of contact many will have with us.
Asthma + Lung UK is the only charity in the UK fighting for everyone with a lung condition, aiming for a world where everyone can breathe with healthy lungs. We fund cutting-edge research, provide advice and support for the 12 million people who will get a lung condition during their lifetime. We also campaign for clean air and for better NHS diagnosis and treatment.
Alongside providing high quality supporter care, you will support the processing of income, general data entry and liaise with external agencies and colleagues in other parts of the charity. You’ll be an expert user of our Charity CRM, assisting colleagues and promoting its consistent use across the organisation.
You will have excellent customer service skills, excellent IT skills and some experience of charity fundraising & charity CRMs. You will be organised, a good communicator and a team player. You will interact with colleagues at all levels across the organisation and have a great opportunity to develop your customer service and data management skillsets.

About the role:
The Direct Marketing Executive will play a key role in delivering high-quality direct marketing campaigns that drive income and engagement from individual supporters. Focusing on cash appeals and alternative gifts, this role will manage the planning, delivery, and evaluation of multi-channel campaigns that inspire supporters to give, strengthen loyalty, and maximise return on investment.
About You:
ESSENTIAL
• Knowledge of using direct marketing channels such as mail and email.
• Strong planning and project management skills.
• Experience of working successfully with external suppliers or internal stakeholders to deliver direct marketing campaigns.
• Demonstrable analytical skills and highly numerate
• Experience of using a database
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Excellent written skills including experience of writing and editing emails
• Demonstrable organisation skills and experience of managing a varied workload.
• Ability to build effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external agencies.
• A collaborative, proactive, and solution-focused approach.
• Strong IT skills including Excel and Word
• Demonstrates ability to work in an agile manner and adapt to changes quickly.
• Shows strong initiative; ability to bring in new, creative ideas.
DESIRABLE
• Experience in the charity sector or individual giving fundraising.
• Knowledge of online marketing.

• Good understanding of delivering excellent customer service/donor care.
• Familiarity with CRM systems and data segmentation tools
