Job Role:

The Forces Employment Charity offers a specialist programme developed to support veterans in the Justice System who may be vulnerable, socially isolated, or need support to live or maintain a law-abiding life. 

Reporting to Op NOVA East England Regional Manager. The successful candidate will have experience in managing and supporting a caseload of vulnerable veterans in your allocated region. 

This position is full-time, 35 hours per week with a salary of £28,325. The successful candidate will be based at home with regular travel within the region, (Kent & Sussex). This role consists of managing and supporting caseloads of vulnerable veterans in your allocated region.

Principal Responsibilities:

​

• Contact all clients within 48 hours of allocation
• Undertake face to face needs assessments and develop support plan within 5 days of allocation
• Provide peer support and practical experience to colleagues and clients
• Carry out an assessment using the Outcome Star, understand and record Employment and Housing status, and other assessments as required by the Regional Manager.
• Review assessments at 3 monthly intervals to understand and demonstrate progress.
• Work with and empower client to engage with the support plan and goals agreed during their needs assessment
• Produce written report when requested highlighting support given to client and level of engagement
• Support the regional manager and national manager to create and maintain strong working relationships with referring organisations in the Area, including the Police, Probation Service and NHS Liaison and Diversion.
• Work to identify and engage veterans with the service
• Deliver emotional and practical support to veterans working with partner organisations to provide specialist support for everyone
• Ensure that all activity is recorded on Salesforce case management system (CMS)
• Deliver any further activities and presentations as reasonably required by your Regional Manager and the National

Director of Movement Building role description (0.8 FTE)

• Lead the organisation’s movement building approach, seeking long-term transformational change to our financial system and wider economy through building the power of individuals, churches and Christian networks, as part of a wider social movement for a more just and sustainable future.
• Design, implement, and lead strategic initiatives and projects for a more just use of money, especially developing individual and church learning and action on the financial system and wider economy, managing people and budgets.
• Identify and deliver learning and action opportunities, including around how individuals and churches use their own money and on tax justice. Conduct training and produce written resources in a variety of media for churches and individuals to understand the financial system and wider economy and to take tangible action.
• Develop and maintain a reasonable level of expertise in areas including ethical finance, an overview of the financial system, Christian ethics, and adult/ lay education.

Key Responsibilities:

● Leadership and Strategy: Lead and manage a team of community organisers working in partnership with organisations across multiple locations in the UK. Develop and implement a comprehensive community organising strategy aligned with the project's goals.

● Community Engagement: Coach and support community organisers in building relationships and mobilising impacted communities, particularly those from Black and minority ethnic backgrounds, single-parent families, and households with disabled members.

Job Purpose:

You will be joining Women in Prison’s new fundraising team which secures funding from a range of sources including individual donors, corporate supporters, and charitable trusts and foundations. This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Wellbeing Advisor Assistant with experience of working within a children and young people, to work within a multi-disciplinary wellbeing advice services team to increase and improve emotional and mental health provision within local communities for 11–24-year-olds in the West London CCG area.

The Senior Wellbeing Adviser will be a part of our Youth Services team and will work to deliver mental health services for young people and the adults who support them. The Senior Wellbeing Adviser will co-ordinate and deliver a diverse portfolio of wellbeing services including the provision of 1:1 practical wellbeing advice and support to young people (mainly aged 16-25), facilitation of peer support groups, delivery of workshops and trainings and co-ordinate awareness-raising campaigns on occasion.

This post will enable the post-holder to develop a wide range of project coordination and evaluation skills. The position will suit an individual who is self-motivated, an excellent communicator and data competent, with an interest in quality improvement, line management, an understanding of child development and mental health, as well as a passion to support services for children, young people and their families.

The post holder will also work alongside colleagues and partners in the Local Authority, CAMHS, educational settings where interventions are being delivered and other relevant mental health providers.

Key Responsibilities

• To provide practical mental health focused short term casework to young people through 1:1 face to face appointments 
• To develop, co-ordinate and deliver workshops and training to groups of children and young people 
• To raise and escalate safeguarding concerns effectively with partners to ensure children and young people are effectively safeguarded
• Signpost referrals for children and young people with more complex needs to the relevant service.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for a committed and skilled individual to join our fast-paced and award-winning Fundraising and Brand Team. Refugee Action is currently growing and diversifying our income.

The role will help deliver excellent supporter experience by working alongside our Supporter Care Coordinator. Through verbal and written communications, you will develop strong relationships with Refugee Action’s supporters and help to develop their loyalty to our organisation.

Finally, you will play a role in embedding Refugee Action’s aims to empower people with lived experience and commitment to anti-racist practice across all activity.

To succeed in the role, you will need to demonstrate:

• Commitment to removing barriers to power for people with lived experience, and commitment to anti-racist practices.
• Understanding of how the UK’s hostile and racialised border regime impacts on those affected by it.
• Experience of using Excel (including creating charts and tables) and databases (for example, Raisers Edge) to enter data.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities at the same time, demonstrating flexibility and commitment to deliver to agreed schedule.
• Good spoken and written English skills with experience in providing supporter or customer care.

ACCT UK launched its new name and brand in 2021 and we are now seeking a highly motivated Marketing Manager to continue the delivery of our engagement programme. ACCT UK is a national youth charity dedicated to improving the life chances of young people. Following their sons’ diagnosis of Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD), Emily Reuben and Alex Johnson founded Duchenne UK in 2012. We are an ambitious, dynamic and impactful charity. 

DMD is a devastating progressive condition diagnosed in early childhood which causes all the muscles in the body to gradually weaken. There are currently only very limited treatment options for DMD, so Emily and Alex set up Duchenne UK to change this. 

Since 2012, we have raised more than £27 million to end the devastating impact of DMD.  We fund ground-breaking scientific research to find effective treatments. We’ve developed the infrastructure of DMD clinical trial delivery in the UK. We engage industry and regulators to accelerate access to treatments. And we’re here to support every family affected and ensure that they receive the best possible care. We aim not only to improve quality of live but stop the disease in its tracks. We’re doing it faster too, because this generation of patients can’t wait.

Alex and Emily were awarded OBEs in The King’s Birthday Honours List in 2023 in recognition of their services to charity and to people living with DMD. They, and the dedicated and effective team they have built at Duchenne UK, are now at the forefront of this work in the UK.

The successful candidate will be an experienced fundraiser with strong interpersonal and communications skills with the ability to build relationships with a wide variety of individuals. The Fundraising Manager will report to the Director of Fundraising and line manage the Fundraising Assistant. They will work closely the rest of the organisation, including the Communications, Finance and Research Teams as well as having the opportunity to work alongside the CEO and Managing Director.

Job Description

This role plays a key part in advancing the fundraising of Duchenne UK to enable more investment into research, advancing treatments and supporting the DMD community.  A core part of this will be building relationships with key supporters, including our incredible Family and Friends Funds, corporate supporters and community of fundraisers.

You will be central to the development and delivery of key events and campaigns throughout the year to achieve ambitious fundraising targets. You will have budget management responsibilities and provide insight into activities to drive improvements and further success in future years.

The role will contribute to overall fundraising growth; ensuring the guiding engagement and fundraising principles are delivered, and that all fundraising delivers an exceptional and remarkable donor experience to which Duchenne UK prides itself.

Fundraising and business development

• Community
  • Key relationship manager for Duchenne UK Family and Friends Funds, engaging them through fundraising, supporting third party events and providing regular project and charity updates
  • Develop and implement the Family Fund and Community Fundraising stewardship strategy

  • Manage and grow the challenge events portfolio

  • Oversee the whole event process from developing a business case and objectives, to budget, project management and event follow up with relevant agencies and suppliers to deliver events within budget
  • Play a vital role in the delivery of Duchenne UK’s signature event, the Duchenne Dash. Our 24hr London to Paris bike ride raising c.£800k annually.

  • Manage Corporate partnerships, with support from the Fundraising Director
• Stewardship and income development
  • Develop and deepen existing donor relationships, ensuring that the organisation maintains effective communications and good relations with our donors at every level and that they are updated on our work and impact
  • Oversee management of regular giving, including working with the Communications team to promote this type of giving. Provide stewardship to Regular Givers, with support from the Fundraising Assistant.
  • Lead the identification and development of new income sources with the support of the Fundraising team to increase donations, improve the profile of Duchenne UK and enhance our reputation within the donor community; including corporate partnerships, fundraising campaigns, third party activity, challenge events, regular giving and legacy
  • Represent the organisation at meetings with donors and external events
• Monitoring and evaluation
  • Support the development and implementation of the new Sales Force database (launching July 2024)
  • Monthly monitoring and evaluation of fundraising activity
  • Review fundraising and engagement for each Duchenne UK event and campaign with the support of the Fundraising Team.
