ShareAction is recruiting for a Senior Research Officer (SRO) to join the LIPH Programme and help support the delivery of our broad portfolio of work. The focus will primarily be on our consumer health campaign (LIPH’s most developed campaign focused on driving more responsible practice in the food industry) but will also support other workstreams, including community health (a newer campaign focused on improving air quality) and driving up investor standards on health. You will ensure our work is founded on robust evidence by taking the latest information and analysis into account and helping to produce credible and compelling outputs across the programme.

What you’ll do (key responsibilities)

You will work on the following key areas:

• Consumer health, primarily focusing on the Healthy Markets Initiative.
• Community health, focusing on our Air Quality initiative.
• Investor standards, focusing on our efforts to improve investor standards on health.
• Maintain and, where applicable, improve our evidence-based approach across all workstreams.

Key activities across these areas of work will include:

Content production

• Writing, editing and/or fact-checking content through different channels, including investor briefings, presentations, case studies, reports and social media content.
• With support from your line manager, you will be developing briefs for outsourced research-focused deliverables that the LIPH team may need and, at times, acting as the lead ShareAction contact for our contractors.

Research and analysis

• Conducting mainly secondary research and in some cases, primary through investor interviews, engagements with civil society groups and/or coalitions, company analysis etc.
• Analysing and reporting on research data, and clearly presenting key themes and findings.
• Keeping up to date with the latest industry trends and issues relating to the LIPH programme.

Monitoring and evaluation

• With support from your team, you will be monitoring and reporting on the health-related practices and policies of companies.
• Supporting the Senior Project Officer in collating metrics for funder/other reporting.

External engagement

• W ith support from your team, you will be supporting external stakeholder meetings (e.g. contractors, research partners, investors or civil society groups).

Internal collaboration

• You will work closely with the Health team’s Senior Campaigns Officer and Senior Engagement Officer on end-to-end processes as well as peers across ShareAction to develop and disseminate good practice related to analysis and research.

Role Overview: 

The Head of Marketing & Sales plays a pivotal role in driving the organisation’s growth. You will develop and execute multi-channel strategies delivered across the funnel from enhancing brand visibility and generating leads, nurturing leads to conversion, right the way through to supporting customer retention and advocacy. Based in the Business Development Directorate, this role will enable Start Network to collaborate with Hub representatives to set up successful resource mobilisation functions in each Hub country and mobilise new funds directly for them. This is a critical role for our strategy and will require someone with experience in setting up ‘income streams’ from scratch (including setting resource mobilisation strategies and fund-raising protocols).

This role requires someone with ample experience in coordinating teams across countries and securing new income from donors. Most Hubs are new entities (small humanitarian networks), therefore the support required will also include capacity-building, donor-mapping, direct engagement on behalf of the Hubs with the donors, and other activities, as defined and directed by the Director. Provision of support to the Hubs will largely be done through remote coordination, facilitation, and engagement.

The business development directorate is mainly based in London but there will be flexibility with regards to where this role sits. This is a new role and will require adaptability, a positive attitude, and a proactive character. About the role

Sense has a fantastic opportunity for someone to join our Engagement team as our Legacy Fundraising Officer. This is a full time position working 37.5 hours per week. This role will working flexibly between home and our office in King's Cross, London.

Over a third of Sense’s voluntary income comes from gifts in Wills. The successful candidate will play a key role in the development and delivery of the legacy marketing programme for existing and new supporters, in order to increase income from legacies and maintain and grow .our pipeline of legacy prospects.

Key Responsibilities

• To work closely with the Legacy Manager and Head of Individual Giving & Legacies in shaping and delivering the legacy marketing and administration programme to achieve annual income targets and other KPIs.

Job Description

Communications:     

• Develop, contribute to and implement impact-driven and strategic communications campaigns that build Kineara’s fundraising capacity and raise awareness of the issues
• Develop brand identity for Kineara’s new charitable arm, ensuring it is consistent across all activities in the organisation, while maintaining Kineara’s overall ‘look and feel’ to ensure coherence in branding, colours, messaging, style and approach.
• Oversee the creation, development, distribution of compelling, impact-driven story-telling about Kineara’s work and beneficiaries using interviews, blogs, case studies, etc.
• Use a range of platforms to distribute print and electronic content including, but not limited to, newsletters, brochures, leaflets, posters reports, e-newsletters, and Kineara’s website

About the role

Are you passionate about women’s health and the power of communications to advocate, inform, and influence? If so, we have an exciting opportunity to join us as interim Head of Media and Communications.

In this role, you will play a vital part in the RCOG’s mission to improve the lives of women and girls around the world, through the delivery of creative communications campaigns and high-impact media stories. You will promote our guidelines, research and reports to support their use around the world to deliver high quality, safe and compassionate care for women.

Leading our busy press office, you will have opportunities to shape the media agenda on critical women’s health issues and champion the voices of women and girls through creative story-telling. Your social media expertise will ensure we are effectively listening to and engaging our members, partners and the public.

You will enjoy building and managing relationships with stakeholders to deliver opportunities for partnership working – including national health organisations, other Royal Colleges and women’s health charities. You will have excellent strategic judgement and be confident to advise senior College stakeholders on high profile and sensitive issues.

Reporting to the Director of Communications, you will line manage our Senior Media and Communications Officer and work closely with colleagues in our policy, public affairs and marketing teams to help ensure the College’s external affairs work is integrated, coherent and impactful.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of our annual media and communications plan, including priority campaigns in partnership with marketing, policy and public affairs colleagues
• Oversee our busy press office, ensuring we maintain strong media relations and are achieving high impact coverage on College priorities
• Deliver proactive external communications to promote awareness and impact of RCOG programmes, projects and products
• Ensure we are effectively using our social media and digital channels to listen, engage and influence, including production of videos, podcasts and webinars, etc.
• Build strong relationships with partners and stakeholders to gather intelligence and identify partnership opportunities
• Lead on ensuring the RCOG maintains effective communications and media processes, including forward planning tools, media logs, activity summaries, and evaluation reports.

This position is well-suited to an experienced communications professional who is passionate about women’s health, and the role that creative communications and campaigns can play to advocate, inform, and influence.

About the role

You’ll be working on direct marketing campaigns and leading a strategic area of fundraising, to engage and inspire people to donate. And you’ll make it as easy as possible for supporters to choose the way they want to give. You’ll be part of a team that champions and supports each other, and is innovative in a changing fundraising and external environment to achieve our annual income target of over £5 million. 

Focusing on high volume donations under £1000. We use analysis and insight to deliver a variety of direct marketing activities that recruit new donors and ensure everyone can see the impact of their kind contribution. 

What you’ll do

• Support the Individual Giving Manager to help set strategic objectives, monitor income and expenditure and use database analysis to inform the individual giving programme.
• Plan, create and manage direct marketing campaigns, both online and offline, and lead a strategic area of fundraising to secure donations
• Work with the Individual Giving Officers, delegating work and championing their development. There may also be an opportunity to line manage an Individual Giving Officer.
• Monitor income and expenditure budgets and use database analysis to inform and improve the direct marketing programme.

What you’ll bring

• Strong experience of managing Individual Giving or direct marketing activity with substantial income and expenditure budgets.
• Proven success in donor or customer acquisition and retention through direct marketing.
• Strong track record of managing external agencies and suppliers.
• Some experience of using CMS and email platforms, ideally Marketing Cloud

Reporting to the Head of High Value and Legacy Fundraising you will:

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the development, delivery and implementation of the Legacy Strategy to deliver sustainable long-term growth
• Lead the Legacy and In-Memory team to maximise Legacy & In-Memory income for Sue Ryder and ensure an excellent stewardship and supporter experience
• Be able to interpret and act on data insight and produce robust reports about legacy income and the legacy pipeline
• Work with colleagues to ensure excellent stewardship is followed through in the Charity’s administration of legacy gifts
• Take the lead on the annual planning budgets, forecasting and variance reporting on monthly management accounts for Legacy and In-Memory Giving
• Keep abreast of the latest trends and innovations in Legacy and In Memory Giving
• Plan and lead innovative marketing campaigns including using digital channels
• Lead and manage the promotion of Legacy & In Memory Giving, working closely with colleagues in the care centres and across the organisation to promote a Legacy culture and drive growth across the legacy pipeline

The successful applicant will bring:

• Extensive Legacy & In Memory fundraising experience with a minimum of two years at manager level
• A track record of delivering innovation in generating income from Legacies
• Experience of planning, implementing and monitoring large budgets to agreed deadlines
• Experience of leading, inspiring and empowering colleagues to promote legacies and deliver excellent results
• Excellent communication skills – written and oral with the proven ability to communicate with persuasion and credibility
• Excellent Marketing skills to deliver growth from consumer marketing across multiple mediums including digital
• Experience of managing and motivating advertising/marketing agencies to deliver exceptional results
• The ability to analyse data and produce detailed reporting on campaigns and performance
• A thorough understanding of the Legacy Administration process and ILM standards

It is essential you are educated to degree level or have direct sector experience of Legacy Fundraising at manager level for a minimum of two years.
