The National Youth Agency is looking for a new Assessment & Data Administrator to join our Academy Team.
 
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Part time – 18.5 hours per week
Salary: £25,000 per annum (pro rata £12,500)
Remote: This role is homebased with occasional travel for staff residentials and other events.

About the Role

The Assessment and Data Administrator role is responsible for assisting with online assessment systems to ensure that full compliance of awarding organisations requirements are adhered to. Additionally, this individual will be the first point of call within the team for candidate or customer queries around our operational processes. 
 
We are looking for a positive, self-starter with strong organisational skills, who is confident with managing multiple tasks, and priorities and is able to provide an efficient support. The ideal candidate will be able to work well in a team and also work of their own initiative, confidently communicate with stakeholders at varying levels of seniority and display judgement, integrity and trustworthiness as you will be privy to learner information.
 
To be considered for this role, the successful candidate must have previous experience of working with IT and online learning platforms and be confident in managing the breadth of tasks within this function.
 
Key responsibilities for this role will include:

• Registration of learners across awarding organisation(s) for all courses.
• Maintenance of learner records with the awarding organisation(s).
• Supporting lead IQA in preparation for external quality assurance visits.
• Management of and claiming of completed certificates and their distribution to learners across all courses. 
• Maintaining accurate records of learner data for reporting and planning purposes. 
• Supporting the Academy team by providing data on learner number, course breakdown and completion rates. 
• Handle incoming enquiries relating to Academy operational processes. 
• Create effective interactions with customers across various platforms. 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to escalate and resolve complex customer queries, fostering a seamless customer journey.

We are seeking a home-based Communications Officer to join RSPB Scotland's communications team.

You'll have an interest in or passion for nature and the outstanding communications skills, knowledge and the experience we need to tell inspiring stories of the conservation projects, our network of nature reserves and our colleagues that are striving to help protect and restore nature across Scotland.

What's the role about?

You'll be part of a dynamic team working across Scotland to unearth and tell great stories from colleagues that inspire key audiences about RSPB Scotland’s nature conservation work.

The role is diverse and busy, working on the roll out of RSPB-wide campaigns like Big Garden Birdwatch, managing and creating content for social media platforms, responding to press enquiries and building relationships with colleagues working in different areas of Scotland to bring their work to life in print, blogs, film and more.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership and Coaching

• Manage the Member and Supporter Experience Officers, providing the skills and knowledge to deliver excellent supporter service through tailored training and coaching.
• Lead regular check-ins and team huddles to review progress, share updates, and address any challenges or blockers.
• Support the monitoring of quality and productivity using satisfaction ratings, and performance measures. Take remedying actions, such as further training or support.

Supplier and Project Management

You will lead the technical delivery and oversight of our Data Engineering work including the continued development, maintenance, reporting and support of FoE’s data assets.

On a day-to-day basis, you will oversee the management of our data model, including the import, export and integration of data with third parties.

MSUK are seeking a passionate and proactive Community Engagement Officer to strengthen and grow our patient and family community. There are over 1500 IMDs and many of our community use social media, other patient groups and in-person events to connect and learn. This role is central to how we engage with the people we support — through social media, community groups, events, and collaborative partnerships. This is an exciting opportunity to steer Asylum Aid at an important time in its 30-year existence. As Executive Director you will be responsible for delivering on our strategy for impact. You will oversee our work to increase access to expert, trauma-informed legal representation to those in the asylum, trafficking and statelessness systems and lead our policy and strategic legal work to achieve systemic change that contributes towards our vision.

You will line manage the Director of Legal Casework to oversee the provision of supportive and enabling leadership to Asylum Aid caseworkers so that they can continue to deliver high quality expert advice in complex cases, while being supported in their professional development and wellbeing. You will also manage and develop the work of our welfare advice team within the Westminster Advice Services Partnership and beyond, and work collaboratively with colleagues in the sector to build capacity and increase our impact. 

The ideal candidate, who may be legally qualified, will have experience of leadership in the charity/NGO sector and a sound understanding of the asylum, human rights and trafficking processes in the UK and the legal frameworks which govern the protection of refugees, survivors of trafficking and stateless people, and of the role of law in achieving system change.

We are looking for someone who is strategically minded and passionate about providing supportive and inclusive leadership to our expert team. You will be committed to our objectives and to the role which expert legal representation plays in enabling people in need of protection in the UK to obtain it.

As is the nature of this sector, the role may be exposed to a high volume of traumatic and distressing material and, whilst they will be supported by the Helen Bamber Foundation Group CEO and surrounding team, the candidate should also be able to demonstrate knowledge of good self-care principles in an intense work environment and dissemination of those principles to junior members of the team.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

 

Leadership and strategy

 

·Be responsible, with the support of the Helen Bamber Foundation Group CEO, for the development, implementation and monitoring of Asylum Aid’s organisational strategy

·Provide leadership and strategic direction at Asylum Aid in accordance with its aims and objectives, with the support of the Director of Legal Casework

·Act as external spokesperson for Asylum Aid, maintaining and strengthening Asylum Aid’s position as a leader in the refugee rights, statelessness and legal aid sectors;

·Work collaboratively with others in the sector to promote and strengthen Asylum Aid’s work, identify and establish potential partnerships, with the support of the Director of Legal Casework;

·Work collaboratively with the Helen Bamber Foundation Group CEO and Executive Leadership team to drive the implementation of the Group strategic framework;

·Ensure that all reporting and monitoring requirements are met to support fundraising, contract compliance and monitoring strategic impact;

Governance  

·Act as the Data Protection Supervisor with responsibility for data protection and cyber security within Asylum Aid

·Together with the Helen Bamber Foundation Group CEO and designated safeguarding leads, be responsible for child and adult safeguarding within Asylum Aid

·In collaboration with the Director of Legal Casework, ensure compliance by Asylum Aid with all legal and regulatory obligations, including the Legal Aid Agency contract, the Immigration Advice Authority and Solicitors Regulation Authority;

·Lead on the preparation and presentation of quarterly reports on Asylum Aid’s activities, strategy and risks to the Asylum Aid Board, the Finance and Fundraising Committee and the People and Governance Committee;

·Lead on the preparation of the Trustees’ annual report and ensure that monitoring and evaluation systems are adequate to enable reporting on Asylum Aid’s activities and impact.

 

Management and Supervision 

 

·Responsible for line management of the Director of Legal Casework and Welfare Advice service coordinator, and other team supervisors as required;

·Together with the Group Director of People, responsible for Human Resources and implementation of the People Strategy within Asylum Aid, including development and implementation of HR policies and procedures;

·Together with the Director of Legal Casework and team supervisors, drive the effective management and supervision of the Asylum Aid team and ensure that they comply with relevant professional standards and accreditation;

·Foster a supportive and inclusive team culture at Asylum Aid in which each member feels valued and supported to develop professionally and to perform to the best of their ability;

·Ensure the team’s well-being and that self-care practices are established and work in tandem with the Director of Legal Casework and supervisors to ensure trauma-informed ways of working.

 

Policy & Strategic Legal Work

 

·Together with the Group Director of Policy, identify policy priorities and coordinate the preparation of evidence and briefings drawing on Asylum Aid’s experience and expertise to influence system change;

·Build and maintain relationships and partnerships with sector colleagues to support joint strategic engagement including policy advocacy and strategic legal work;

·Work closely with the Director of Legal Casework and team supervisors to drive changes in the UK asylum, trafficking and statelessness systems through strategic legal work.

 

Finance & Fundraising

 

·Work closely with the CEO and the Helen Bamber Foundation Group Finance Team to set and manage budget(s) and general financial matters for Asylum Aid

·Together with the Director of Legal Casework and the Group Finance Team, establish systems for monitoring legal aid Work In Progress and billing, and securing casework income including legal aid, and inter partes income from judicial review cases;

·Work closely with the Helen Bamber Foundation Group Fundraising and Communications Team to secure funding for Asylum Aid from a range of sources including trusts and foundations, corporate philanthropy and major donors;

·Ensure that Legal Aid and other income is maximised, and targets are achieved.

Other duties

·Manage the recruitment and supervision of volunteers where necessary in collaboration with the Helen Bamber Foundation Group Volunteers Coordinator;

·Support the Helen Bamber Foundation Group Facilities team to ensure the smooth running of the office and that the facilities meet the needs of Asylum Aid;

·Work outside normal office hours as required and travel in order to carry out the responsibilities of the post.

Essential Experience, Skills and Knowledge

•Experience of running a small to medium sized charity/legal NGO and/or legal department within the NGO sector (or other equivalent senior management role);

•Demonstrable experience of managing and leading a successful team and the ability to manage a growing team with mixed roles from team supervisors to administrative support staff, working co-operatively with colleagues to maintain transparency and effective working relationships within the team;

•Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with people from a wide range of backgrounds

The campaign successfully raised £50 million, enabling Latymer Upper to more than double its bursary provision and its endowment. The Foundation’s 400th anniversary in 2024 gave rise to a further opportunity to engage the Latymer community, paving the path for significant future philanthropy.

Reporting to the Head of Latymer Upper, and leading a team of 12, the new Director of Development will be a first-class relationship builder and manager, motivated by the School’s ethos for excellence and inclusivity. St John Ambulance works at the heart of communities, supporting and enabling them to access and receive physical and mental health first aid. Job Summary
The Finance Business Partner in Volunteering is responsible for providing the first line of support and assistance with the development of financial plans, analysis of the financial performance and forecasts of the Adult Volunteering area, in order to provide high quality business insight to both support and influence strategic decision making by St John’s management teams. They will be a key member of the Financial Planning and Insight team to ensure delivery of the annual three-year budgeting process, that is aligned to strategic operational plans. This will require regularly meeting with relevant stakeholders to critically review and challenge reported performance against agreed plans. This role will not only look after the Adult Volunteering part of the organisation but support some other overheads/areas within the organisation.

About You
You are a fully qualified professional accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA). Ideally you have gained experience in the charity sector and large complex organisations. You can demonstrate previous experience in a finance business partner role with a track record of supporting the end-to-end processes for in-year forecasts and annual budgets and three-year plans that are aligned to business strategy. You have significant experience in managing the day-to-day, monthly and annual production of management accounting processes. To be successful you can demonstrate excellent skills in influencing with confidence and gravitas to respectfully challenge. You are naturally curious with a genuine interest in change and technology. You take personal ownership and possess a flexible 'can do' mind set and you are able to build and maintain effective networks both internally and externally.

About the Role

• Deliver high quality business and financial analysis, with detailed outcomes and benefits, to identify and present coherent rationales for change, to support continued coordinated, consistent and effective delivery of services across St John
• Provide impactful and effective finance business partnering to St John Budget Holders, the Senior Management and Executive Teams
• Work with the relevant stakeholders, to timetable in the production of the charity’s monthly management accounts and the annual budgeting and in-year forecasting process that is the aligned to business plans
• Drive continuous improvement in St John’s financial management reporting, forecasting and analysis
• Drive continuous customer experience improvement by simplifying and improving St John’s financial processes, to provide your collective internal and external customers, an efficient and effective finance experience
• Utilise technology and tools to continuously improve the presentation and content of the charity’s financial management reports to best support and meet the needs of Budget Holders, the Senior Management and Executive Teams
• Provide clear and understandable narrative to stakeholders and the rest of the team, advocating good accounting principles and helping to educate, inform and develop others within the wider finance team
• Identify financial risks and ensure that adequate measures and controls are in place for them to controlled and managed, or escalated where necessary
• Identify and implement cost and efficiency savings, where applicable and appropriate, without compromising the quality of the service and accuracy of the reporting.
• Work with operational business partners to provide the financial analysis and appraisal for business cases, including cost/benefit of capex investment projects, and support the preparation and submission of business cases to Executive Teams for approval

ECHO is a charity that is independent from but works closely with the NHS Guy’s and St Thomas’ heart care network (47 hospitals) to support children affected by a heart condition and their families. We’re seeking a highly organised, results-oriented team player, with excellent writing and content-creation skills, to build active engagement with our community of families, professionals and fundraising supporters. This role will suit someone confident to take initiative who enjoys teamwork, creativity, variety, and ‘putting jobs to bed’, who can balance the many short-term deadlines of two different focus areas with some longer-term pieces of project work.

As a small organisation with programmes of family support, youth work, corporate and individual fundraising, we offer the successful applicant exposure to build skills, from concept to delivery, on a wide range of project areas.

Key tasks

Communications (60% of time)

• Deliver engaging communications across social media, media outlets, newsletters, and publications by leading on ECHO’s Communications Plan and content creation.
• Strengthen ECHO’s brand and visibility by applying and championing consistent brand and style guidelines.
• Support fundraising and storytelling by producing e-newsletters, reports, and working with a designer on our annual newsletter to showcase impact.
• Inform and empower families by keeping ECHO’s website and private Facebook group updated with reliable, relatable content, and collaborating with partners to produce patient information resources.

Administration (40% of time)

• Deliver memorable experiences for families and young people by managing event logistics, handling enquiries, coordinating entertainment, and ensuring smooth registration and follow-up.
• Strengthen supporter relationships by coordinating the timely sending of T-shirts, certificates, thank-you letters, and other engagement materials.
• Enhance team efficiency by drafting meeting agendas, circulating papers, taking accurate minutes, and keeping the office environment well-organised and well-stocked.
• Provide high-level administrative support to the CEO by managing day-to-day tasks with sensitivity, discretion, and attention to detail.

This list does not cover every aspect of the role but will give you a flavour of the combination of taking a lead and hands-on work the job requires. Your days will be busy but controlled! There’ll be a lot to pack in, but, as the only comms and admin person, you’ll have scope to prioritise where your time and focus will get the best results.
