You will collaborate across teams and globally, working closely with colleagues in our UK, US and German Country Support Offices and Global Communications network.
What We Are Looking For
We’re looking for someone creative, proactive, and genuinely excited by digital communications. Ideally, you’ll have:
- A strong knowledge of social media trends and passion for creating engaging content. Proven experience of managing social media channels.
- Passion for digital communications and social media platforms stays up to date on newest trends and is excited about finding new creative ways of communicating.
- Image and video editing and graphic creation (Photoshop, Canva or similar).
- The ability to write clear, compelling copy tailored to different audiences.
- Confidence juggling multiple projects and deadlines.
- Using an email marketing system (WfWI-UK currently uses Marketing Cloud)
- Working with a website content management system (creating webpages)
- An analytical mindset—able to use performance data to refine content and campaigns.

Summary of the role:
The Communications Officer plays a key role in executing the organisation’s communication strategy. Job Summary
To manage talent acquisition for the Museum, working with hiring managers to plan and deliver effective campaigns to fill each role with the best possible candidate. To manage and develop a range of materials and systems to support talent acquisition activity.
Main responsibilities
- Be responsible for the end-to-end recruitment pipeline across the Museum (around 150 campaigns per year)
- Work with the HR Business Partners to understand and predict resourcing needs and plan future hiring needs
- Be responsible for the Museum’s candidate marketing materials including the careers site, developing content and working with the Digital team to ensure content is updated regularly
- Work with hiring managers to plan and deliver tailored recruitment campaigns for each role
- Undertake focused research and campaign planning for hard-to-fill and specialist roles to ensure they are filled with appropriately qualified candidates
- Keep abreast of best practice and new developments in talent acquisition, testing and learning new ideas and methodologies to improve our approach
- Liaise with the HR Administrators to ensure vacancies are posted as needed and candidates are moved through the recruitment pipeline. Administer an allocation of campaigns where required during peak periods
- Plan and manage volume recruitment events for front of house roles in conjunction with hiring managers and the HR Advisor
- Develop and deliver a range of selection assessment tools and methodologies to ensure we select the right hires for each role. Sit on interview/assessment panels as required

- Create engaging content and stories to showcase impact.
- Steward donors and fundraisers with warmth and professionalism.
- Taking a lead on organisational communications and developing targeted communications to reach existing and new audiences.
- Collaborate with the CEO and wider team to align fundraising with strategic goals.
- Develop a variety of relevant resources for use across different audiences
- Develop, implement and monitor 'supporter journey' processes.
Top 3 Priorities for the First 6 Months
- Develop and deliver a refreshed annual fundraising campaign.
- Build a network of community supporters and local partnerships.
- Embed new branding and messaging into community engagement and communications.
About You
We're looking for someone with proven experience in community fundraising and engagement, someone who can build trusted relationships across diverse stakeholder groups and communicate with clarity and warmth. You'll be confident managing multiple priorities independently and bring creativity and energy to campaigns and supporter engagement. Experience with Canva or similar design tools is a plus, as is familiarity with fundraising regulations, or a willingness to learn.
