The Supporter-led Fundraising (SLF) Department at Alzheimer’s Research UK (ARUK) is responsible for mass fundraising through enabling individuals, communities and companies to support ARUK through their own talents and passions. As well as driving registrations and income through third party, virtual and mass participation events and managing these relationships to maximise income.

We are looking to for an Online Fundraising Executive to support the team. In this role you will be the face of our friendly and passionate Online Fundraising Team; building relationships with supporters who use online channels to fundraise such as Facebook challenges, streaming and crypto donors.

You will also be at the forefront of the fundraising sector as it develops; keen to understand new areas of growth, you will help spot potential and trends in new areas of online fundraising and be willing to adapt to this quickly changing area.

You will provide crucial administrative support to ensure the smooth integration of our online fundraising systems across ARUK. Support may include adding accurate details to our database, tracking and monitoring income, responsibility for online donation platforms and virtual fundraising as well as general administrative duties in the office.

Main duties and responsibilities of the role:

Online Administrative Support

· Steward online fundraising supporters, with a particular focus on Facebook challenge moderation and messaging

· Lead on specific fundraising processes e.g. merchandise for Facebook challenges

· Provide lead administrative support for all Facebook challenges, crypto donations and streaming campaigns

· Support with social media and website updates including virtual fundraising challenges

· Provide data support to the Online Fundraising Manager

· Manage a portfolio of online fundraising sites, tracking income and undertaking audits

· Ensure clear, consistent and up to date fundraising data management including adding new constituents to the fundraising database, accurately recording and maintaining supporter details, monitoring and tracking supporter income and making sure supporters are appropriately thanked in a timely manner

· Support with online fundraising materials requests where relevant

· Ensure all communications are in line with GDPR policies.

Spotting supporter potential

· Effectively and consistently spot opportunities to build networks among our online fundraising community and flag these to the relevant members of the team.

· As one of the key online fundraising contacts, keep the manager and team up to date with supporter feedback.

· Support the team in approaches to relevant corporates, such as tech start-ups and gaming developers.

· Support the team in outreach to new supporters through platforms such as social media, Twitch, Discord servers and Reddit.

· Use data reports to spot fundraising trends and identify opportunities.

· Work closely with SLF and the Supporter Engagement Team in particular to share and implement online fundraising and stewardship ideas with support from the Online Fundraising Manager.

Creativity and Trend Hunting

· Keep abreast of and identify new online fundraising trends through horizon scanning

· Write briefs and proposals for internal stakeholders to become involved in potential opportunities

· Evaluate potential opportunities to understand which ones we should prioritise.

Collaboration

· Build strong relationships with teams across the organisation in order to work collaboratively, allowing you to offer the best stewardship journey to our supporters.

· Work closely with the Digital Team to ensure collaboration and sharing of ideas. Keep up to date with their work and identify where fundraising could fit in.

· Work with our Supporters and Families Team by sharing fundraiser stories to maximise potential publicity

· Work closely with teams such as Science Communications, Digital and Design to help create appropriate online stewardship journey assets for the whole of SLF

· Liaise with our Supporter Care team to ensure processes are in-line across the organisation

· Work with Internal Communications to ensure the team’s objectives and work are communicated effectively.

Additional Information:

Ways of working:  As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.

About the role:

This is exciting opportunity for motivated, strategic development operations professional with experience of leading fundraising operations teams.

In this role, the Head of Strategy and Operations will create and lead a world-class development operations function, play a pivotal role in developing and planning the Museum's major capital campaign, and embed best practice in fundraising and information management across the Development directorate.

The postholder will manage the Development directorate's strategy development and delivery planning, and is responsible for campaign management, research, stakeholder data and insight, fundraising proposition development, reporting, gift management, business processed, and compliance. We have appointed world-renowned architect Lina Ghotmeh to rejuvenate and redevelop our Western Range - accounting for over a third of our galleries. The Development directorate will enable this transformation by delivering a major capital campaign, in which the Head of Strategy and Operations will play a central role.

Key areas of responsibility:

• Lead the development and delivery of the Museum's fundraising strategy, including the capital campaign, working closely with senior leadership to set targets, milestones, and deliverables.
• Inspire and manage the team to implement cutting-edge tools, data systems, and practices to analyst donor behaviour, ensure operational efficiency, and drive revenue growth.
• Develop and implement a prospect research strategy, aligning stakeholder data with CRM operations to optimize fundraising opportunities and engagement.
• Ensure compliance with fundraising regulations and standards, manage risks related to stakeholder data, and make recommendations for system and structural improvements.
• Oversee the Museum's CRM database, ensuring efficient data management and analysis of gift information to support donor stewardship.

About you:

• Degree or equivalent experience and fundraising industry network memberships.
• Experience of a senior role in a major fundraising campaign.
• Experience of leading fundraising operations teams in the cultural sector, higher education, a charity, or not for profit organisation.

Role Overview

Around 75% of your time will be devoted to securing funding from trusts and foundations. Purpose of the role

The Alcohol Behavioral Change Specialist is responsible for collaboratively designing and implementing, evidence-based programmes applying appropriate behavioural change models aimed at reducing alcohol-related harm, and promoting long-term behavioral change related to alcohol consumption.

As a leading charity focused on alcohol harm reduction, the postholder will be Drinkaware’s internal expert regarding alcohol harm to individuals and will have a good understanding of brief interventions, as well as information, advice and guidance including quality assurance across our work. They will work across the organisation providing expert advice and guidance.

This role requires a deep understanding of psychological theories, behavioral science, and addiction, along with practical experience in behavioral interventions. 

HFT-Barking Food Bank is looking for someone exceptional to help us fight hunger in our community. We’re on a mission to increase our fundraising income from £200,000 to £500,000 and need a passionate, results-driven individual to lead this effort. The Head of Business Development works closely with the CEO and has responsibility for all aspects of the development of BLCF’s business interests including long-term income growth, philanthropy, partnerships, communication and new business initiatives. They will nurture and grow the Foundation’s long-term growth income, secure funding for new initiatives and develop and deliver our CSR and social value work, extending the reach of our services to increase our revenue through the excellent communication of our business and strategic aims. Responsibilities

Work with the CEO and Head of Impact to develop plans and strategies to ensure quality services are delivered that meet organisational objectives and charitable articles to the highest standards. 

As part of the Senior Leadership team, work with, advise, contribute, and respond to the CEO and Head of Impact and the partnership they create to ensure they are deliverable and adequately resourced and costed and deliverable.  

Work with the CEO to set and implement Strategic Plan Delivery Plan targets and objectives and budgets to deliver them. Ensuring information is cascaded to all staff in their area and that staff connect to the Strategic Plan though their own workplans.

Core Role Delivery

Work with the CEO and under their direction to identify, develop and deliver new partnerships and to increase revenue and business growth that support the Foundations long term sustainability and long-term income targets. Basing new work on evidence of need as identified by the Head of Impact . This includes but not exclusively development of new flowthrough opportunities, endowment partners, legacy, corporates, social value and CSR initiatives and all aspects of business growth.  
Provide support and advise to potential and existing partners about our work and proactively look to address inequality and fairer access to opportunities the Foundation offers. 

Oversees the team and external contractors tasked with effective communication with our corporate and business partners to ensure it is a means to drive partnership and business growth.

Staff & Contract Management 

Ensure an appropriate, effective staff, freelance and volunteer structure to deliver the services; recruit and manage staff & volunteers and resources to achieve required service response and quality.

Ensure all staff development and review processes are undertaken including induction, appraisal, and performance, in line with required processes. Resolve performance issues among staff and volunteers engaged in delivering services.

Performance Management

Working under the direction of the CEO develop, agree, and secure agree all partnership agreements and MOU that support the emerging partnerships and ensure they are in line with the Donor Care Plan specifications.  

Working with the CEO and Finance, oversee and monitor all contract and partnership agreement terms with regards to agreed milestones and cashflow of fees and funds; anticipate problem areas and lead as necessary on mitigating action and ensure deliver of agreed targets.

Work to the Head of Impact to inform monitoring reports as required to ensure clear and transparent delivery of agree contracts.  

Ensure appropriate levels of training are maintained and a good working understanding of the policies and procedures of the Foundation. 

Contribute to the Quality Accreditation process to ensure highest standard of the foundation are achieved.

Relationship Management

Under the direction of the CEO develop and maintain proactive, collaborative and effective strategic relationships with corporate partners, commissioners, contract managers, business partners and funders to maximise the charity’s influence and ability to deliver quality services and grow it income and funding.  

Manage the Bedfordshire & Luton Funder Network to maximise opportunities for support, collaboration, and information sharing. 

Representing the Organisation

Maintain an excellent understanding of business and charity sector issues to better inform our work, ensuring information is cascaded to wider members of the team. 

Represent the Foundation at Regional and National events. 

Proactively develop and maintain an appropriate network of contacts in the grant making and business sectors. 

Represent BLCF positively, working closely with the CEO promoting its current work and future development opportunities.

Provide proactive support to the CEO with other initiatives, where required.

Experience

Significant and demonstrable experience of partnership working and income generation and growth with a wide range of businesses, funders, Trusts, Local Authorities and the VCSE.   

Clear understanding of the wider voluntary and charity sector (D).

Experience of working on delivery and negotiation of complex contracts and partnership agreements and range of successful funding applications to local and national funding initiatives.  

Considerable experience of developing business initiatives to drive successful organisations in line with Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR) priorities. 

Experience in management and delivery of excellent communication campaigns, tools and teams (D). 

Understanding of need in the Bedfordshire County (D).

The Individual Giving team is responsible for income generation from individual supporters and members, using a range of direct marketing techniques via both online and offline channels. Work Location/Hybrid Working Pattern

This role will be based at our Head Office in central London. Mothers’ Union operates a hybrid working model. Tuesdays are our anchor days where every staff member is expected to be at the office. The 90 days includes anchor Tuesdays. With a minimum of three years’ experience in a senior fundraising role and demonstrable success in securing significant funding, your ability to cultivate and manage donor relationships, craft compelling funding proposals, and oversee high-impact fundraising campaigns will be key to our success.

Our District Digital Enabler will take the lead in our social media communications but also work directly with our Churches and Circuits across London, providing them with a supportive guiding light by advising all things digital. You must have knowledge of social media and websites (that’s a given), but you’ll also need some skills in IT applications, the ability to write creatively and fluently, and be able to bring some slick confidence to the role.
