Purpose of the job:
This key role in our fundraising team will be integral in helping the team meet our ambitious targets. Working predominantly on Trusts and Foundations applications, leading the development and submission of high-quality proposals, with opportunities to work across additional income streams. The postholder will be responsible for securing grants, developing relationships, providing excellent stewardship to funders, and working collaboratively with colleagues.
Key responsibilities include:

Identify and maximise opportunities to raise funds – focusing on charitable trusts and foundations.

Research and maintain a pipeline of prospects.

Contribute to the achievement of ambitious team income targets.

Create compelling, accurate and bespoke funding proposals, to a high quality and submitted on time.

Essential requirements include:

Experience of successfully securing five figure grants from charitable trusts, foundations, and/or major donors.

About the role
Your role as a Senior Service Designer will involve designing end-to-end journeys of a service or product as well as the processes and steps to make that journey work. As an experienced designer with the ability to influence and mentor others, you will work with the team to complete their goals and to help Shelter deliver our strategy.
The role involves working not only with the team, but across the organisation to listen to the needs of technical and business stakeholders and communicating effectively with diverse senior stakeholders. You will also mentor, support and develop your line reports to improve design and research practices and processes.

As a Senior Service designer, you will be working in the Digital design team, alongside with front and back-end developers, UX designers, Content Designers and User Researchers. We have an exciting opportunity to join the Individual Giving Team for a nine month secondment as Individual Giving Manager managing our regular giving programme.
Regular giving at Alzheimer’s Society is growing year on year with an ambitious target of £8.5M for 2024/25. In this role you’ll get the opportunity to lead a high performing team of two, working across all regular giving campaigns including face to face fundraising, telemarketing, payroll giving, digital and SMS. Our adviser teams work within local areas and via our national helpline. Our helpline hours are currently 09:00 to 18:00, Monday to Friday, and 10:00 to 14:00 on Saturday. We are looking for someone who can work on a flexible basis to ensure cover across the helpline’s working hours. There will also be the need to cover some hours on Saturdays, bank holidays and over the Christmas period.

You will have recent experience in respiratory care in a primary, secondary or tertiary setting with preferably pulmonary rehabilitation experience with strong IT skills.
