Summary
We have a brand new opportunity for a Marketing Specialist Apprentice to support the Central Quadrant of Harris secondary academies, helping to identify, attract and engage our communities.
Working with the Assistant Director and Principals from the Quadrant, you will have the opportunity to support with our Academy marketing strategies, including social media channels, newsletters, events and create graphic designs, images and videos for both organic and paid campaigns. You will also work with the Federation Talent Attraction Partner.
This is an apprentice role with a fixed-term duration of 18 months. Your learning will be supported by the completion of the Multi-Channel Marketer Level 3 apprenticeship programme.
The Central Quadrant academies are based in Southwark, Lambeth, Wandsworth, Croydon and Bromley and the successful candidate will be part of the academy team. We can be flexible on your base academy within the Central Quadrant.

Main Areas of Responsibility
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing marketing and communications strategies, primarily focussing on student and staff recruitment and improving brand awareness
- Designing and generating mixed media content for use on academy websites and relevant social media to increase brand awareness and drive engagement
- Managing day-to-day social media posting and platforms
- Helping to develop compelling campaigns that resonate with our target audiences
- Ensuring brand consistency across all communications and external media
- Writing, editing, proofreading and publishing press releases and academy newsletters
- Monitoring and adjusting campaigns to meet budget and performance objectives
- Using data analysis tools to record, interpret, and analyse campaign performance, and creating and delivering actionable reports driven by these insights
- Conducting ongoing research into audiences, preferences and trends
- Researching and generating ideas to maximise audience engagement
- Performing keyword research to identify trends and develop content which improves SEO, discoverability, and engagement

Spark Inside runs coaching programmes in prisons across London and the South East, to encourage rehabilitation and reduce reoffending.
We are one of the first organisations to take life coaching to people living and working in prison and to use systems coaching to bring together staff and prisoners in UK prisons. About the role
Join Dementia UK as a Digital Marketing Executive and play a vital role in raising awareness of the charity’s services, engaging supporters and generating income through digital activity.
Working closely with the Digital team, you will support the development and delivery of the digital marketing strategy, with a particular focus on paid campaign management . You will be responsible for developing and launching key paid campaigns across social media channels, aligned with organisational objectives to maximise income and grow brand reach.
Collaborating with fundraising teams, you'll help shape and enhance supporter journeys through digital channels. This is an exciting opportunity to lead our Alumni Engagement team who provide support to an alumni base of almost 40,000 contactable alumni of the Sutton Trust programmes. These are generally young people from lower socio-economic backgrounds who move into highly competitive universities, courses and careers. The alumni community has grown rapidly over the past 3 years and now expects around 6-7000 new alumni to join each September. Engagement covers supporting their transition to university and into the workplace through communications, events and programmes. It also spans alumni volunteering, our Alumni Leadership Board, and working with our Development team towards alumni giving.
The role is dynamic and diverse, requiring you to be able to think strategically whilst devising and delivering on operational delivery plans, and we are looking for a confident and experienced team leader during a period of maternity leave.
This role is part of the Programmes Leadership Team and will work closely with the Director of Programmes, Head of Employability Programmes and Head of University Access & Digital on shaping the strategic direction of the team and its programmatic work. The role will also connect closely to the work of the Development Team as we look to devise and implement a segmented alumni giving scheme, as well as the Communications and Policy team, and may evolve to take on new projects over time.
Main duties
- Strategic leadership to alumni engagement, including:
- Embedding alumni relations and programming across the organisation, ensuring alumni are considered or involved in all areas of the Trust’s work
- Managing budget and project timelines to ensure projects are delivered effectively
- Working with the wider programmes team to ensure a smooth transition for Sutton Trust beneficiaries between programmes and the alumni community
- Alumni Engagement and Volunteering:
- Refining and communicating the alumni strategy across the Trust and to donors and external stakeholders
- Growing the Sutton Trust alumni network and developing a long-term strategy for alumni engagement, including communications and events, identifying key areas of focus and setting out benchmarks and KPIs
- Overseeing a suite of volunteering opportunities for alumni to give back to, and represent the Trust in (for example on programmes, with our funder base, in our research and policy work, or to benefit the alumni community)
- Managing the online alumni platform (STA) and its integration with other platforms .
- Overseeing the recruitment to and engagement of the Alumni Leadership Board and new Changemaker/Ambassador programme to build on our advocacy work, and ensuring effective engagement with the work of the Trust and the wider alumni community
- Ensuring that the above complements a long-term plan which would enable alumni to fundraise for the Trust or make donations in support of the Trust
- Programme management and Alumni Support:
- Support delivery of access to the workplace and employability programming for alumni alongside the Head of Employability Programmes
- Overseeing the delivery of bursary support programmes (including the Opportunity Bursary funded by JP Morgan) by the Alumni Programmes Manager from recruitment to evaluation and reporting
- Overseeing the delivery of a series of employer-led events (working with employer-facing colleagues across the Trust) across a range of industry sectors that support student access to workplace opportunities, and the chance to build employability skills (such as networking / interview skills etc)
- Overseeing the development of content and activities to support young alumni transitioning to HE
- Overseeing the evaluation and scoping for potential growth for alumni-alumni mentoring with the Alumni Connect programme (piloted in Spring 2025)
- Ensuring appropriate systems and processes are in place to manage programmes and events for alumni
- Alumni Giving and Relationship Management
- Working closely with the Development team to provide support for key funding partnerships including those that directly fund/ work with the Alumni team.
- Working with the Director of Development/ Head of Philanthropy to input into a new strategy to build funding from our alumni
- Working with the Development team to implement an ongoing segmented fundraising communications plan to build awareness of our need for funding and directing alumni to appropriate giving schemes depending on their life/career stage
- Identifying potential mid to high level alumni donors and working with the Development team to cultivate
- Representing the Trust and facilitating introductions via senior alumni for new and potential employer or delivery partners
- Team Management:
- Leading the alumni team to ensure effective engagement of our alumni community, including line management responsibility, team meetings, pastoral support and appraisals
- Line managing, motivating and proactively supporting the Alumni Programmes Manager and Senior Alumni Officer in their professional development
- Working with Director of Programmes and Heads of Programmes on team management, culture and long term planning

Person Specification
We welcome applications from individuals who have experience in:
- Professional experience of alumni relations, or managing other similar membership communities, ideally within the education or charity sector.
- Has experience working within or an understanding of the not for profit sector and/or the education sectors;
- Experience of developing strategies, frameworks and operational plans to support alumni relations, programmes and events for young people, or equivalent
- Strong understanding of databases, data processes and experience using a CRM (ideally Salesforce)
- Experience in project management, monitoring and evaluation, managing budgets, financial control and administration
- Building relationships with significant, diverse stakeholder groups
- Experience of managing volunteers and volunteer stewardship
- Excellent verbal and written communication and strong analytical skills

Terms of Appointment

- Contract: 13-month Fixed-term Maternity cover contract starting November 2025. Our ideal dates are from 1 November 2025 – 30 November 2026, however we can be flexible if needed for the right candidate.
- Salary: £60,000-£64,000 per annum
- Working location: Minimum of 2 office days per week
- Office location: The Sutton Trust, 9th Floor, Millbank Tower, 21-24 Millbank, London, SW1P 4QP. Our home working policy gives staff the option to work from home for up to 60% of the time, with approval from their line manager.
- Hours: The standard working hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday and may also be required to attend events / meetings outside of their normal working hours during weekday evenings and occasionally at weekends

The Supporter Relations Engagement Team is involved in the planning and development of programmes and projects that puts supporter engagement at the heart of everything do we do. Context and purpose of role
We are looking for a Digital and Website Officer to join our Campaigns and Communications Team. The role holder will take a leading role in digital marketing, optimising our website using a data-led approach, and maintaining our digital asset management system.
Working with colleagues across the Supporter Engagement & Experience division and the wider business, they will also contribute to the development and delivery of marketing activities that deliver against brand and income targets.
They will work to upskill people across the organisation – including volunteers - to achieve greater impact with digital communications.
Key responsibilities
- Website – act as the GB web admin, working in partnership with the Digital Technical team to manage user journeys and ensure content is high quality and search engine optimised in line with the website strategy.
- Digital marketing – Create and implement digital marketing activity in line with the agreed digital strategy and against agreed return on investment targets. Create and implement digital marketing plans to support advocacy and marketing initiatives for our programmes using relevant digital channels for the target audience
- Content development – source / develop content and assets such as case studies, videos, blogs and images to drive engagement across digital channels including the Ramblers app. Ensure all content is of high quality, permissioned and easy for colleagues to find within the digital asset management system.
- Insight– undertake regular reporting and apply data insights to shape content, campaign and creative outputs, applying a test and learn approach.
- Campaigning - Support policy and public affairs, to influence and deliver messaging to local or national agencies to maintain and improve access to the outdoors for all.
- Fundraising - Support fundraising with business development and income generation through developing and responding to opportunities that meet the aims of the Ramblers and achieve income targets.

Prospectus is excited to be supporting a social welfare charity to recruit two Supporter Acquisition Managers to project manage and lead on day-to-day delivery of supporter acquisition appeals and to lead on the planning and delivery of the Christmas Campaign.
The charity is one of the largest, most diverse providers of social and community services after the Government. With more than 600 local centres and nearly 100 residential centres, they make a powerful difference to people across the UK who might otherwise be excluded.
Along with the Assistant Head of Individual Giving, the Supporter Acquisition Managers will be responsible for growing the organisation’s supporter base and hitting an annual Individual Giving team fundraising target of £50 million in unrestricted income. As a direct marketing subject matter expert, the Supporter Aquisition Manager will lead cold recruitment campaigns and support in identifying and delivering new products or acquisition streams. The role will lead on planning and project managing delivery of a variety of media channels, both online and offline. This role will hold some strategic responsibility for either the Christmas Campaign, or ongoing Acquisition Innovation. The role will be responsible for seven figure expenditure budget and line management a Supporter Acquisition Officer or a Supporter Acquisition Executive.
As planning for the Christmas Campaign is already underway, the charity is open to temporary or interim candidates who might be interested, as well as permanent candidates.
The successful candidates will have significant direct marketing expertise with a strong background in project managing multiple campaigns across a range of channels, ideally in a fundraising role, and with proven success at recruiting new donors. As well as previous experience in identifying areas of innovation and devising testing plans to launch and roll out, you will also have a track record in successfully leveraging value from data collated on supporter databases, to maximise targeting and data segmentation.
