South Bank Students Union is a non-for-profit organisation, which champions social mobility through education and has a vision to disrupt the cycle of inequality in higher education.

We are looking for a Student Voice Coordinator to join our new team as we embark on a five-year strategy to transform the way we engage and support students to help them reach their full potential.​

Nowhere is inequality in our education system more recognisable than in higher education, where those from the most privileged backgrounds still have the most equity and most chances to achieve and succeed.

South Bank students have high expectations and ambitions for themselves but lead complex lives where they are faced with the pressures of trying to balance their studies with work and juggling their lives at home. In fact, many don't identify primarily as students, but instead as carers, nurses, engineers, parents, designers, workers, entrepreneurs, apprentices, last chance learners and Londoners.

Alongside our current Student Voice Coordinator, the person in this role will be responsible for delivering the Union’s key Student Voice programmes which include: our course rep scheme; student issues tracking; focus groups and officer insight campaigns. They will also provide support for student leaders. This includes supporting the effective election, induction and ongoing development of the Union’s President, Lead Representatives and democratic processes.

London Play is seeking a part-time Partnership Fundraiser to lead on securing income to support its vital work, in particular through strengthening and developing its partnership with London Play Design. Job Description

We seek a skilled and proactive fundraiser to support LP in submitting funding applications to support its partnership with LPD and developing long-term fundraising capacity. The first key task will be to collaborate with both organisations to create a strategic fundraising plan aligned with our programmes, with a strong emphasis on championing play and supporting adventure playgrounds in continuing their essential community work.

Key responsibilities will include developing and implementing a fundraising strategy to secure income from a diverse range of sources; and researching, identifying, developing and submitting funding applications and proposals to relevant trusts, foundations and other grant-making bodies.

The ideal applicant will have at least five years’ experience in fundraising, donor development, or grant writing – ideally including partnership arrangements – as well as a demonstrable understanding of the value of play and the outcomes it contributes to for children and for communities. As Community Development Co-ordinator, you’ll lead the delivery of a vibrant, resident-led health and wellbeing programme across Highgate Newtown and nearby estates. Working closely with local volunteers (Community Champions), residents and partners, you’ll co-produce a wide range of weekly activities that tackle health inequalities, strengthen community ties, and amplify local voices. Activities could include mental health workshops, family play sessions, health information pop-ups, gardening projects, and community cafés - no two weeks will look the same. You’ll recruit, support and nurture a team of passionate volunteers, ensuring they grow into confident community leaders.

A key part of the role involves building strong relationships with local services, schools, faith groups and community venues, and making sure resident feedback shapes everything we do. You’ll coordinate themed campaigns, facilitate listening sessions, promote the programme creatively across the estates, and track the outcomes and stories behind our impact. This is a hands-on, outward-facing role requiring creativity, adaptability and strong organisational skills. We’re looking for someone who is a natural facilitator and relationship-builder, with a passion for health equity and social justice. Safe to Learn is a newly established network of teachers, parents, researchers, policymakers, young people and child safeguarding practitioners, working together to end antisemitism in UK schools. About us

Universal Credit (UC) is the fastest growing advice issue for the Citizens Advice service and improving the support available to people making a claim is vital. Our Help to Claim service guides people through the claims process - this will include identifying suitability, helping clients to start their claim and providing support to their first payment.

Citizens Advice Liverpool is looking to recruit Help to Claim advisers with knowledge and experience of welfare benefits to join their team.

The successful candidates will provide end to end telephone and web chat support for new Universal Credit claimants. Your understanding of legacy benefits will enable you to check whether a client would be better off on Universal Credit. You will also be able to identify clients who due to transition to Universal Credit via Managed Migration and support them through the process and application. About the Role

The two Communications Officers will work closely and collaboratively to help deliver the diocesan strategy and tell the story of the diverse church communities in the Diocese.

This role will focus particularly on the development and delivery of digital media content including social media campaigns; planning, scripting and filming video content and managing social media channels.

The Role

You will be supported in working to the existing budget but will be able to influence and input into future financial planning from the results of your campaign tests and your negotiation skills with our suppliers.

The Candidate
Demonstrable experience in working on direct marketing campaigns for a charity.

Ideally experience of supporting direct mail, telemarketing, email and online campaigns.

Experience of using a fundraising database for charity CRM.

Role purpose:

The Community Fundraising Marketing & Events Officer plays a vital role in delivering a dynamic programme of fundraising campaigns, events, and communications that connect people to our mission in meaningful ways.

From national initiatives like Tent for Lent and Tea in a Tent, to flagship events like the Truro Carol Concert, this role is about creating moments that move people from awareness to action. You'll lead on marketing, supporter journeys, and project management for our community fundraising events, ensuring they are engaging, impactful, and aligned with our strategy.

You'll also be responsible for mass communications and the creation of high-quality resources that support and empower our national network of community fundraisers and volunteers. Whether that's a campaign toolkit, an email journey, or a direct mail appeal.

Working closely with the Community Engagement Officer, you'll help shape the future of community fundraising at ShelterBox - building stronger supporter journeys, amplifying our message, and raising vital funds for families affected by disaster.

Who are we looking for?

We're looking for a creative and organised communicator who thrives on bringing people together through compelling campaigns and memorable events. You'll be confident managing multiple projects, with a flair for storytelling and a strong grasp of how to engage audiences both digitally and in person.

You should have experience in marketing, fundraising, or events and be comfortable leading on campaign planning, content creation, and supporter engagement. A keen eye for detail, strong project management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively are essential.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

• To work with the Community Engagement Officer on the development and roll out of our community fundraising programme, identifying areas of growth and undertaking regular analysis to increase the awareness, engagement and income generating opportunities
• Coordinate and help deliver fundraising campaigns, Tent for Lent and Tea in a Tent, engaging existing audiences, generating new leads, income and awareness for the organisation. Actively seeking further opportunities to grow these campaigns.
• Contribute and implement marketing plans, materials and content for all campaigns and activities to recruit and retain supporters, making sure brand and impactful messaging are at the heart of everything we do and driven by audience insight.
• Identify and maintain effective administrative processes for events and campaigns, ensuring accurate communication and financial records, while using data insights to drive continuous improvement and learning.
• Actively seeking further opportunities in the UK fundraising market to develop our events and campaign portfolio, offering engaging products for our audiences.
• Coordinate our annual Truro carol concert, working collaboratively with the wider Fundraising and Communications team to deliver an engaging and memorable fundraising event.
• Establish and help deliver the community fundraising marketing and communications plan, identifying opportunities to create inspiring touch points. To include development of content for appeals, newsletters, adverts, articles, social media etc
• Coordinate the creation of high-quality resources and tool kits, working closely with the Community Engagement Officer, that empower fundraisers and volunteers to take action confidently and effectively.
• Design, develop and implement a communication journey, in collaboration with the Supporter Care Team and Marketing & Events Officer, which supports all community fundraisers, ensuring they receive a positive and engaging experience which encourages continued acts of support
• Responsible for the logistical delivery of our annual volunteer conference, working collaboratively with the Community Engagement Officer to deliver a first-class event for our volunteers.
• Working closely with wider Community Team to support promotion of campaigns and activities through our volunteer network, giving them the tools to do this, helping to achieve targets.
• To work to set income and expenditure budgets, monitoring costs and trends, reporting and analysing performance and implementing solutions where appropriate.
• Work closely with wider Community Team to deliver major disaster plan during periods of emergency appeal, with the objective of maximising fundraising revenue and enhancing public awareness of ShelterBox's mission.
• Work collaboratively with wider Fundraising and Communications Department to ensure our community programme helps to deepen supporter engagement, working towards shared goals and supporting on specific projects where appropriate.

General duties:

• Producing detailed annual action plans and evaluations on specific areas of responsibility, identifying areas for growth/development and outlining measurable objectives.
• Objectively review the success and achievements against agreed targets, identifying strengths, weaknesses and areas for development
• Contribute new ideas and continually seek to improve processes to drive efficiency and increase income.
• Participate in the day-to-day work of the organisation - such as reporting, attending team meetings as required, and taking a flexible approach
• Representing ShelterBox at supporter/public events, delivering presentations where necessary.
• Keep volunteer and community fundraising sector knowledge current and share learning with the team.

Gateway Assessor

The role will assist in providing a quality service to clients through face to face, telephone and digital gateway assessment by supplying accurate, personalised, relevant information and guidance. You must have:

• Recent experience of undertaking the role of Gateway Assessor or of providing information, advice and guidance to the public either through face to face, telephone and emails including experience of exploring clients’ problems and identifying appropriate next steps.
• An understanding of the main enquiry issues involved in assessing clients' problems
• Experience of using interpersonal skills, including sensitive listening and questioning skills to understand the needs of others, especially in the context of telephony

The Communications Department at Alzheimer’s Research UK inspires, engages and informs the public about dementia and the progress being made in research. The department leads on the charity’s media and PR work, including everything from the latest research breakthroughs to compelling stories from people who have been affected by dementia, as well as engaging the public through face-to-face events and activities.

The Communications Assistant will play a key role within the Strategic Communications function. They will be a part of the Supporters & Families Communications team, who recruit and work with the charity’s Media & Communications Volunteers and other supporters, sharing their lived experience of dementia to highlight why the charity’s mission is so vital.

This is a varied role that will involve the day-to-day management of our image and story library and essential administrative support for the Strategic Communications teams. The Assistant will also have the opportunity to generate engaging content to support our fundraising teams in an effort to raise much-needed funds for life-changing dementia research.

This role will be known internally as Communications Executive – Strategic Communications*

Main duties and responsibilities of the role:

Administrative:

Manage the day-to-day organisation of supporter story content and related assets on the digital asset management system (ResourceSpace), which serves as the organisation’s image and story library, including;

· Upload supporter story assets (story write-ups, images and related resources) to the system with associated consent.

· Manage consent of supporter stories and associated imagery to ensure the assets on the system are GDPR-compliant and protect the interests of our supporters.

· Be the point of contact within the Communications department for ResourceSpace queries.

· Use internal communications channels to champion the use of ResourceSpace across the organisation.

· Proactively identify opportunities to improve the system for users through user feedback and problem-solving to ensure the system is working optimally for teams across Alzheimer’s Research UK.

· Work with teams across the organisation to understand their needs and help provide them with curated content.

· Create and update user guides and guidance for ResourceSpace users and administrators.

· Proactively manage the content lifecycle, monitoring the usage of assets through regular reporting. Identify needs for updating content and gaps and opportunities for additional content.

Provide admin support to the Supporter & Families Communications team with their use of the organisation’s customer relationship management system (Salesforce) to record correspondence with and the activities of Media & Communications Volunteers.  

· Generate reports of Media & Communications Volunteer activities through Salesforce to provide insights to the team.   

Provide administrative support for the Strategic Communications teams as needed, to help manage the flow of communications and media work.

Media & Communications:

· Work with supporters to tell their fundraising stories and personal experiences of dementia for use on our own channels (social media, email newsletters, website articles etc) and to create marketing content to be held on ResourceSpace for organisational use.

· Work with fundraising teams, and other relevant teams, to establish their supporter story needs and gather stories to fulfil this.

· Provide internal communications support as needed for the Strategic Communications teams and Communications department. Use various internal communications channels to champion the work of the Supporters & Families Communications team and other Strategic Communications teams.

· Be a part of the Communications department’s newsdesk function, helping to respond to media enquiries and provide media briefings across the organisation.

· Use our media database to prepare distribution lists for proactive media work as needed and support with the monitoring of media coverage.

What we are looking for:

· Confidence working with computers; knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook.

· Demonstrable administrative experience or relevant transferable skills.

· Experience building and managing relationships with others.

· Ability to learn quickly and adapt to working across multiple systems.

· A creative eye, with strong verbal and written communication skills.

Additional Information:

Ways of working: As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.

Roles that are classed as part of the Agile ways of working are not able to claim any costs for Mileage/Travel on Public Transport, Accommodation and/or Meals.  This includes when attending the office for various meetings/events.

Community Fundraising Manager

We are looking for a passionate and ambitious Community Fundraising Manager to engage and inspire our volunteer supporters in their communities to raise vital funds for our mission.

The Role

As Community Fundraising Manager, you’ll support and inspire a vibrant network of community fundraisers and volunteer ambassadors. You’ll be responsible for growing and delivering the charity’s community fundraising activity through this network, building meaningful relationships, and ensuring excellent stewardship. With passion and drive, and with the full support of those around you, you will help us achieve our fundraising goals to support brain tumour patients and their families.

Key responsibilities include:

• Manage and develop the community fundraising portfolio with our active and growing volunteer network

You will be a motivated self-starter with a ‘people first’ attitude and a background in fundraising, volunteer management, events, marketing, or communications.
