As the Volunteer Executive Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the CEO by managing key administrative and strategic tasks that help drive the organisation’s success. Responsibilities:

Act as a key point of contact and liaison between the CEO and internal/external stakeholders.

Coordinate, prepare, and follow up on meetings, ensuring the CEO is always equipped with relevant information and materials

Draft and edit correspondence, reports, and presentations to maintain a professional and impactful standard.

Undertake research and data analysis to support decision-making and strategic initiatives.

Assist with project management tasks, ensuring deadlines and objectives are met.

Support the planning and coordination of events, campaigns, and advocacy initiatives.

Keep track of key actions, priorities, and goals, ensuring the CEO's time is optimised for maximum impact.

Adapt to the evolving needs of the CEO and the organization, stepping into new challenges with enthusiasm.

We are working in partnership with New Citizens’ Gateway, a charity that empowers refugees and asylum seekers to foster a sense of belonging, integrate into the UK and rebuild their lives. They provide support for refugees and asylum seekers across London and beyond through a holistic model and multifaceted approach, which acknowledges the whole person and all their physical, social, emotional, and spiritual needs. Their services including advice and guidance, campaigning, ESOL classes, community classes and groups, counselling, wellbeing services, youth activities and mentoring. 

New Citizens’ Gateway (NCG) are actively developing their Board and are now seeking new Trustees, bringing fresh skills and professional backgrounds to help continue their growth. The new trustees will join a collaborative and ambitious team and will be responsible for providing strategic support related to their area of expertise and support overall governance and leadership of the organisation.

NCG wants its Board to reflect the people it serves, so they actively encourage candidates to apply with lived experience of the refugee and/or forced migration journey to rebuilding your life in the U.K.

Key skills and experience are sought, although not limited to, the following areas: 

• Finance / wealth management
• Fundraising
• Marketing and communications
• Youth work
• NGO leadership

However, the Board is open to expressions of interest from candidates who do not possess skills in these areas, but that would like to be considered as a Board member. 

Board meetings are held four times a year (hybrid) in addition to attending occasional networking, fundraising and ceremonial events and meetings. All reasonable expenses will be covered by the charity. We anticipate a 1-2-hour monthly time commitment.

About this role

You will be vital to the work of our ecommerce hub helping to sort, quality check and monitor donated products from our corporate partners.

• Your role may include:
• sorting donated pallets of stock ready for sale
• quality checking products to sort the good from the bad
• scanning products to trade in, such as books and CDs
• helping to pack orders to go our shops
• helping keep our warehouse tidy and our stock system accurate
• When and where
• You will be in our Scope Ecommerce Hub. The hub is based at 19 to 20 Guide Street, Salford M50 1BX. We can be flexible on the times you would like to volunteer. Our hub opening times (Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm). We’d love your help for as little as 1 hour a week, but if you can give more time that would help us even more
   

Who we are looking for

We welcome anyone who is passionate about disability equality and willing to support our work! You must be over 18 years old. You will need to feel comfortable working in a large busy warehouse environment and be able to lift and carry items, although we have a forklift truck to assist with heavier items.

Some volunteers want to learn more about charities or about retail. Others want to make a difference to the lives of disabled people. Other volunteers are interested in our training and development opportunities. Some people join us to meet new people and make friends. Sometimes people want to help a charity shop they like shopping in, while also getting a discount online!

Time expectation

Main purpose of job: To host our Parent/Carer online community support group as part of Mast Cell Actions community support services.

Key tasks include:

· Host support sessions with professionalism and enthusiasm.

· The main purpose of this role is to facilitate and host our Parent/Carer Support Sessions alongside another volunteer

· Reassure and validate participants' experiences whilst encouraging story-sharing.

· Manage the technical aspects of virtual events proficiently.

· Represent Mast Cell Action professionally at all times, demonstrating strong communication skills, reliability, and adaptability in a virtual environment.

Experience/skills required:

· Proven experience as a virtual event host, moderator, or similar role is desirable but not essential as we can train you.

· Must have personal experience of being a parent or carer for a child with MCAS or suspected MCAS

As a charity we can help thousands of cats each year thanks to the generous donations from our supporters. Raising funds is a key role in our charity, helping to raise the vital funds needed to help more cats and kittens in need.

Support, guidance and keeping you safe

At Cats Protection we believe our volunteers should be happy and confident in their roles. We provide support and guidance from our National Cat Centre and through our regional and local volunteer groups and teams. We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, fast learning Midlands & Wales intern to join our growing team at Human Appeal; helping us with admin tasks, recruitment of volunteers for events and online fundraising campaigns, research for various upcoming events and help with general tasks.

Main tasks include: 

• Administrative tasks such as collating data, contacting signups for various challenges, deployments and events. 

• Assist with administrational tasks relating to fundraising

• Research venues, catering and other fundraising related tasks for upcoming events 

• May be asked to go to occasional events dependent on location

• A good understanding of humanitarian relief

Role Description:
As the Grants Writer & Researcher, you will:

• Research new grant opportunities and keep a running database.

• Draft and submit grant proposals aligned with SheCanDo’s mission.

• Track deadlines and ensure compliance with funder requirements.

• Work closely with the Fundraising Lead to align grant goals with organizational priorities.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Strong writing, editing, and research skills.

• Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage deadlines.

• Experience in grant writing is a plus but not required.

Make a real difference to children in Wales with a life-shortening condition by becoming a Fundraising Volunteer today!

As a Fundraising Volunteer you’ll assist with fundraising events and collections throughout the year, as and when you can.

You’ll engage with members of the public and use your knowledge of your local area to promote the work of Ty Hafan.

By becoming a fundraising volunteer, you'll help us raise essential funds for children with life-shortening conditions and their families. 

Considerations:

Age requirement: 16 (If under 18 you will be required to provide parental permission)

Location: Throughout South/West Wales

Commitment: Flexible

Background checks: We will ask you to provide us with the details of two referees. A DBS check may be required for roles with more responsibility.

• Take part in our bucket collections throughout the year in town/city centres, supermarkets, shopping centres and other venues. • Use your knowledge of your local area to place collection tins in your community, visiting the premises on a regular basis and count and bank the money on our behalf

• You will promote Ty Hafan fundraising events and campaigns in your community (for example Tea for Ty Hafan) and encourage others to register to hold their own tea party

•You will encourage local community groups and organisations to support and fundraise for Ty Hafan, using your existing networks and knowledge of your community

• You will work closely with the Regional Fundraiser to maximise all opportunities within your area
