About the role
We’re looking for a hands-on senior infrastructure and security manager to lead and manage Breast Cancer Now’s IT infrastructure and security operations.
This is a delivery focused role where you’ll take responsibility for building, configuring and maintaining infrastructure while also implementing and managing security governance controls. You’ll ensure our systems are resilient, secure and aligned with frameworks such as Cyber Essentials Plus and NCSC guidance.
You’ll be responsible for migrating systems from on-premises to Microsoft Azure, modernising our infrastructure to ensure it is secure, scalable and cost-efficient. Alongside this transformation, you’ll manage day-to-day infrastructure and security operations across our hybrid environment.
In addition, you’ll also take ownership for the delivery of key governance activities including risk assessments, audits, compliance checks, vulnerability management and cyber incident response.
Working closely with the Head of IT, you’ll support the development of long-term plans while taking full ownership of technical delivery. You’ll mentor and guide engineers, but remain fully embedded in the hands-on work needed to build and maintain secure, high-quality infrastructure services.
About you
You’ll be an experienced infrastructure professional with strong hands-on expertise in designing, implementing and managing:
- Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, networking, storage, compute, security and monitoring)
- Networking technologies (firewalls, VPNs, LAN/WAN, DNS/DHCP, TCP/IP, virtualisation)
- Enterprise security tools (SIEM, endpoint protection, vulnerability management, XDR, MDM, IDPS)
- Backup, replication and disaster recovery solutions
- Microsoft services such as Windows Server, Intune, Autopilot, Entra ID, Defender, Exchange and SharePoint
You’ll have proven experience of building infrastructure solutions end-to-end, delivering transformation projects, and maintaining secure, resilient and cost-efficient environments.
You’ll be confident working with security governance frameworks, with direct experience putting in place the day-to-day processes, controls and compliance activities needed to keep an organisation secure.
Alongside your technical skills, you’ll bring strong leadership and communication, with the ability to mentor colleagues, collaborate with stakeholders, and explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.

You will be one of two Service Managers in Shelter Sheffield, reporting to the Strategic Lead, you will deputise for them when necessary and will lead on delivering our services, line-managing Team Leaders and designated functions. Your role will be to ensure that the service delivery meets high quality standards, is delivered safely and is contract compliant. Overseeing the monitoring and reporting of our work, you will have delegated financial responsibility and work closely with partners, commissioners, and other stakeholders in the city to ensure that our services are aligned and impactful.
You will also ensure that we are identifying and addressing the systemic housing issues as illustrated through clients’ presenting need. This is key role to link up Shelter’s national campaigning and policy work with local activity, to ensure that we co-produce our activities and involve people with lived experience fully in our work to make sure their needs are met.
About You
You have sound knowledge of homelessness, housing and related issues, with leadership skills and experiencing of supporting and managing teams. You can demonstrate experience of managing contracts, partnerships or services as well as budgets and are able to develop and sustain key relationships which benefit our local priorities for Sheffield. Experienced in change management, you will be able to analyse insight and evidence to manage and improve performance, as well as being able to work with policies relating to safeguarding, health and safety and data protection.

Penny Brohn UK have been working in partnership with GenesisCare UK, a private healthcare company, since 2013. We deliver an integrated cancer care approach which includes complementary treatment support and lifestyle advice for patients undergoing chemotherapy and radiotherapy at all of their 14 centres across the UK. For over 40 years, Penny Brohn UK has supported people with cancer to feel more physically and emotionally able to manage the impacts of their diagnosis and treatment, be more in control of their choices and have the best quality of life possible.
The role
As Services Manager, you’ll lead a team of 8 Wellbeing Consultants across GenesisCare centres in England. You’ll play a key role in recruitment, induction, and ongoing development of staff and therapists, ensuring high quality, compassionate care for people living with cancer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support a team of Wellbeing Consultants
- Conduct regular site visits, role observations, and audits
- Assist recruitment, induction, and training of new staff
- Ensure quality assurance and safe practice across the service
- Deputise for the Head of Services when required
The individual we are looking for will have:
- Recent experience supporting people in a clinical setting
- Proven experience of managing remote teams
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Experience in training delivery and evaluation
- A relevant healthcare or professional qualification (e.g. Nurse, counsellor)

The Role

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver a comprehensive fundraising strategy to increase income across multiple channels.
