About the role
As Virtual Events Manager (Supporter Care) you will lead a dynamic team to deliver exceptional supporter experiences through acquisition campaigns and stewardship journeys of the virtual events programme. You will line manage the team and be responsible for supporting them to deliver stewardship journeys as well as seek opportunities to proactively grow the virtual events programme.
You will work closely with the wider fundraising, marketing and innovation team to ensure that there is a high level of engagement across the virtual events programme.
About You
To be successful in this role you must have

Main Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver a new Partners development strategy to secure significant gifts from individuals.

The Communications Officer is a key supporting role within the Communications team. The charity supports and cares for over 40,000 orphans and their families in 13 countries including Somalia and Palestine. A fantastic opportunity exists for a Fundraising Manager to join the team. As Fundraising Manager, you will play a crucial role in securing financial resources to support the charity’s orphan and widow sponsorship programs. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing fundraising activities across a broad suite of avenues including community, events, mosques, and local business partnerships. This is a full-time, permanent role based in Bradford.
Who are we looking for?
Ideal candidates will have proven experience of developing fundraising strategies and delivering to large income targets. You will have demonstrative experience in fundraising and donor relations in the charity sector and be experienced in leading and managing fundraising campaigns/activities. You will be a confident communicator who possesses strong written and verbal communication skills including grant writing and public speaking. Proven leadership and team management experience and familiarity with fundraising software and CRM systems is essential for the role. In addition to the technical skills, you will be a personable candidate who has strong team working skills and creative problem-solving skills. You will also be able to demonstrate a strong alignment to the organisation’s values and knowledge of the Muslim fundraising space would be a bonus as you will also be involved in mosque appeals and collections.

About you

About the role
This role will line-manage four direct reports, delivering communications and marketing activity across the organisation. Working closely with the Head of Communications and Marketing, key activities for 2024/25 will include updating our content management system; rolling out a new marketing function within our CRM; delivering agreed communications elements for our 60th anniversary programme; and working with colleagues to ensure all digital marketing activity is integrated, value for money, agile by design and delivers against our strategic priorities.
