We are looking for a Fundraising Partnerships Officer to join this small but mighty fundraising team and grow the vital income for this incredible charity!

The Role

By joining MedEquip4Kids in this capacity you will play an important role within the charity and duties will include:

• Maximising the charity’s income through the development of the corporate, trust and community fundraising portfolio.
• Developing a pipeline of new prospects and relationships (including one off donations, corporate partnerships and event participation).
• Researching, completing and submitting corporate trust applications.
• Providing positive leadership to volunteers and corporate donors ensuring effective stewardship and stakeholder engagement.

The role is varied and interesting and provides an opportunity for you enlist support to raise funds that will have a real impact on the lives of babies and children across the UK.

The Person

To be considered for this role you should come to us with experience of managing relationships and of working towards income targets. You should be a strong and confident communicator with the ability to build relationships with new contacts and develop existing relationships to maximise engagement. You should also have good written communication skills and the knowledge and ability to write compelling cases for support to obtain funds for the charity. We would welcome someone who has significant fundraising experience, but also those with awareness and interest in this area with the transferable skills to make a success of this rewarding career! Main responsibilities:

Administration:

Time & Talents is a lively, busy community centre in the heart of Rotherhithe, SE16.  Set in a leafy heritage building, and ‘T&T2’, our second venue in Surrey Quays Shopping Centre, we offer something for everyone. With a history of 137 years of supporting people of all ages in Rotherhithe and Bermondsey, we bring people together for mutual support, fun and friendship with a wide range of services and activities for older people and other adults, along with volunteering and children and families’ projects.

We are looking to recruit two additional project officers mainly to help deliver our Live Love Later Life and Healthsmart services whilst providing organisational and administrative support to help these run smoothly.

An exercise qualification and experience of delivering health checks are highly desirable. However, if you do not hold these qualifications you will need to undergo a chair-based exercise qualification and blood pressure training. Applicants need to be willing to undergo this training. They also need to have the confidence and enthusiasm to deliver exercise to groups of older people whilst motivating participants that may have a variety of physical and cognitive challenges. The Senior Officer – Network, Partnerships and Programmes plays a critical role as the initial contact point for CSC’s global network of 200+ NGOs and delivery lead for our practice-based partnership programmes and Street Work training, working closely with a small but dynamic team in pursuit of CSC’s vision and goals.

The postholder will contribute towards CSC’s strategic goal to transform street-connected children's experience of the street, now, so that they are safer, with better access to services and a sense of belonging in their communities, by:

• Working with network partners to develop, evidence and model innovative & integrated rights-based approaches to supporting street-connected children and securing their rights
• Promoting and supporting skilled street work as the first, critical step in a rights-based approach to supporting street-connected children

Role Summary

• Reporting: To the Director of Programmes for Network, Practice and Children’s Participation
• Working hours: Part time 3.5 days per week (24.5 hours)
• Salary: £34,000 pro rata

Specific Tasks and Responsibilities

1. Programme delivery

• As the delivery lead for CSC’s practice-related partnership programmes, (including our Inclusive Education Programme), work closely with partners, working group members and other stakeholders to develop and deliver high quality programming which maximises learning and dissemination opportunities, engaging external stakeholders and learning partners where appropriate
• Manage and cultivate relationships with current programme funders, ensuring that high quality reports are submitted to deadlines
• Where required, support the delivery of other programme activities in partnership with network members
• Working with partners and CSC’s finance manager, review and manage programme budgets

• Working with the Directors of Programmes, guided by CSC’s strategy and building on our existing strong partnerships, develop programme plans and project concepts in advancement of CSC’s goals
• Working with the Directors of Programmes, identify funding sources for partnership programme activities and contribute to the development of high-quality project proposals
• Support the further development and delivery of CSC’s Street Work training offer, working closely with the Director of Programmes for Network, Practice and Children’s Participation, including supporting proactive efforts to secure training contracts/funding and nurturing CSC’s Global Trainer group.

3. Network development

• With the support of the staff team and Directors of Programmes, develop and implement CSC’s network approach to achieve CSC’s strategic goals
• Identify areas for collaboration with and between network members and facilitate shared learning, including via network-wide events, thematic working groups and geographic clusters within the wider network
• Be the first point of contact for reactive enquiries relating to the network and membership
• Be the ‘holder’ of network data, which will be jointly populated and maintained by the team 
• Be a champion for shared learning and knowledge exchange between the network and CSC team, including via network surveys and online engagement events
• Work with the wider staff team and network to design and deliver CSC’s annual International Day for Street Children campaign and activities.

4. Other

• As a member of CSC’s Safeguarding Committee, contribute to the effective implementation of CSC’s Safeguarding Policy and promote a safeguarding culture within the organisation

The role will be based in our Resources, Systems and Culture Team and will take charge of the day-to-day financial activities for the UK as well as administrative support to other members of this global team.

Whilst primarily a finance role you will also have opportunities to provide administrative support across a range of business functions, including HR and IT. This is primarily a finance role so the successful candidate will need to have experience of finance administration and basic bookkeeping. Experience of other areas, such as HR or IT, is not essential as training will be given. As PA to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), this role has a primary focus in providing comprehensive administrative support to the COO, in collaboration with the wider Directors’ office team and the COO’s direct reports.

They will be responsible for delivery of smart and strategic diary management for the COO and handling administrative tasks on the on the COO’s behalf. This role will provide varying levels of support for the Finance & Audit Committee, NT Food & Drink Board, Enterprises Board, and the Financial Planning Group. This will be done in close collaboration with the key contacts (internal and external), including, where appropriate, acting as central point for preparation of related papers, meeting scheduling; comprehensive minute-taking may also be required.

We have a very exciting opportunity for anyone who enjoys working on the front-line of patient support in the Preston area. 

This role will deliver Kidney Care UK’s Patient Support and Advocacy service in the Preston region. This varied role deals with every aspect of a patient’s life that supports better outcomes: welfare benefits, practical, emotional and social support. As well as directly supporting patients, you will raise awareness of the wide range of local and national resources available to kidney patients, and build strong relationships with kidney patients, professionals, and other stakeholder groups in the region.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Research and Evaluation Specialist to join our Research and Performance department at The Active Wellbeing Society. Our head office is based in Tyseley (Birmingham) and we are offering this as a hybrid role, including working from the head office, across Birmingham and home working, with national travel when required. This role is responsible for research and evaluation across all areas of the organisation to support strategic and operational decision-making. This includes primary research (surveys, interviews, focus groups, participatory research etc.) and data analysis skills to produce recommendations and actionable insights to drive behaviour change, and adapt and improve our practice.

You should have experience of designing and leading mixed method research projects (quantitative and qualitative), using a range of tools to analyse and evaluate a variety of datasets and interpreting your findings into robust recommendations. You should have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to adapt these to different audiences. The role will support the Research and Insight Manager.

Ideally, you will bring a high level of expertise across all the knowledge and skills we are looking for, as set out further below. We will consider candidates who require some development in areas of their knowledge and are willing to learn whilst in the role.

Main duties

5. Identify, analyse and interpret relevant local and national data sources and evidence to provide actionable insights and contextual understanding.
6. Use excellent written communication skills to produce outputs including reports, briefings, profiles, presentations and infographics, and tailoring these to a variety of audiences.
7. Work collaboratively with the team, other directorates and stakeholders to understand their research needs, to implement research processes and procedures, in-line with organisational priorities and the needs of funders.
8. Understand and adhere to information management policies, research ethics and governance legislation, including, data privacy and data protection legislation, including GDPR.

This project is funded by the Nature Networks Programme. The Heritage Fund is delivering it on behalf of the Welsh Government. 

Do you want to be part of a team leading the field in the development of private investment into nature’s recovery? 

In the past 18 months, The Trusts have been developing new approaches to funding nature’s recovery from the private sector, utilising novel revenue approaches such as nutrient neutrality credits and the voluntary carbon market amongst others. They have developed finance mechanisms to sit alongside these revenue streams such as a philanthropic loan system. They now want to scale up this work to help The Trusts and others to scale nature’s recovery across Wales. They need to turn policy into strong principles that allows us to develop guidelines and templates to help the Trusts across Wales access green finance. 

Our client need dedicated expertise and capacity to work with the Trusts to bring this work into a coherent strategy, develop models and plans that build revenues for nature’s recovery allowing much greater investment. This post is designed to provide that expertise and capacity to work alongside those Trust staff that are already committed to developing these programmes. 

Our client is the central charity which supports the federation of 46 independent Trusts working for nature’s recovery across the UK, Alderney and the Isle of Man. The Trusts’ vision is of a thriving natural world, with abundant wildlife and healthy natural habitats playing a valued role in addressing the climate and ecological emergencies, and everyone inspired to take action for nature’s recovery. 

Collectively, The Trusts have more than 900,000 members, employ 3,500 staff, look after over 2,300 nature reserves, operate 123 visitor and education centres and own 29 working farms. The role of the trust is to ensure a strong voice for wildlife at a UK level and to provide strategic leadership, support and development for The Trusts. They provide shared expertise in areas such as climate change, digital fundraising, nature-based solutions, policy and safeguarding. They facilitate UK-wide communities of practice to share learning and replicate successful approaches so that together they are more than the sum of their parts. They support the individual Trusts to be a strong force for nature in their local areas and to work together to achieve even greater impact as a collective. 

The Trusts are on a mission to bring about a people-powered nature and climate recovery by empowering people to take meaningful action for nature, and to create an inclusive society where nature matters to everyone, everywhere. They are ambitious in their desire not just to slow, but to reverse the declines in nature. Together they have developed a bold, new collective strategy which outlines their vision and the actions they will take to restore nature over the next eight years. 

Central to their strategy are their three goals which set out what they are striving to achieve by 2030 in pursuit of their vision of a thriving natural world. Goal 1 is to put nature into recovery with abundant, diverse wildlife and natural processes creating wilder land and seascapes where people and nature thrive. Goal 2 is to inspire people to take action for nature and climate, resulting in better decision-making for the environment at both local level and across the four UK nations. And Goal 3 is to enable nature to play a central and valued role in helping to address local and global problems, such as by helping tackle climate change and supporting wellbeing and education. 

Achieving these ambitious objectives means that they must develop new ways of working which increase the scale and impact of their work. Therefore, they have embarked on a programme of strategic transformations that are essential to achieving their goals, and which will result in a stronger and more effective Trust movement for the long term. They are leading the transformation programme across The Trusts including in community organising, equality, diversity and inclusion, and funding nature’s recovery. The Trusts have existed for over 100 years thanks to a strong membership base and traditional fundraising activities. 

Now, to achieve the level of funding needed to reverse nature’s decline, they need to diversify and increase their income by exploring new ways of funding such as innovative finance. 

About You 

You will be from a commercial background within private, public or charitable sector. You will have an entrepreneurial approach grounded by great commercial experience. They would expect an understanding of the green finance marketplace and that you are comfortable with legal and contract management. You will be a great communicator, with a personable style who can work with many different people across the wonderful variety of geography, business development, and activities of the Trusts. 

You relish challenging the status quo and problem solving. This is a new and ambitious role which will evolve following your appointment so you should be excited by the flexibility and opportunities to take an innovative approach.
