About the Role

We are looking for a Day Service Co-ordinator to join our art studio team and support people living with brain injury in our day centre in Haggerston.

You will take responsibility for organising and delivering activities in the Submit to Love art studio, such as supporting members in creating new artworks, planning and delivering events and outings, and engaging members in a variety of other activities in response to their needs and interests.

The role also involves providing advocacy and support (key working) for up to 12 members and ensuring the smooth running of the day service as a member of the co-ordinating team.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Activities in the art studio:

•  Support members to engage creatively and develop their personal artistic practise.
• Work alongside the studio manager, day service members and volunteers to plan and deliver events, including artist led workshops, exhibitions and open studios.
•  Plan trips to cultural events and experiences.

Key working:

• Act as key worker for up to 16 members, checking in regularly about their engagement in the centre and their general wellbeing, and supporting them with information, advice, and advocacy as appropriate.
• Establish and maintain contact with members’ families, carers, and relevant statutory partners to facilitate good communication and better provide appropriate support.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including comprehensive individual risk assessments.

Day Service co-ordination:

• Work closely with colleagues and volunteers in the day service and other teams at Headway East London to create a welcoming, supportive, and stimulating environment for members.
• Share responsibility for practical tasks in the day service to ensure its smooth running.
• Work sensitively with volunteers, supporting them alongside the volunteer co-ordinator to take on meaningful and rewarding roles in the day service.

About this role:
As Enterprise Architect, you will:

• Bring the IT architecture strategy in line with the charity strategy to allow Dogs Trust to achieve its objectives in the most effective way,
• Own the overall architecture domains for the charity,
• Produce, maintain, and communicate Enterprise Architecture artefacts, as well as developing policies and standards,
• Work closely various internal business leaders: including subject matter experts, project managers and Business Analysts, and external solution architects to deliver solutions for the organisation.

About you:
To be successful in this role you will need broad technical knowledge, with the ability to design end-to-end systems at a high level, with a clear understanding of a number of applications. We are using Salesforce and Informatica, so we’d love to hear from candidates with experience in these. You’ll also need to be a self-starter, who is passionate and motivated about delivering solutions and takes a proactive, strategic approach. It’s also important that you’re a people person, who is a great team player and excellent communicator, with the ability to engage colleagues from different parts of the organisation, and bring them on the transformation journey with you. The Content Marketing Manager will be responsible for managing the Content Team within the Marketing & Communications Department, overseeing delivery of the content framework, using evaluation and measurement to enable strategic and creative development so Battersea’s content output achieves brand, marketing and organisational objectives.

Overall objectives of this role:
• Oversee strategic delivery against the content framework, supporting the team in effective implementation and measurement

What is the reablement service? 

A highly focused 12-week intervention which involves one to one community support, to support Service users to recover and help to overcome issues in their daily lives that impact negatively on their mental health and wellbeing.

The primary focus of the service is to enable service users to remain independent in the community and to facilitate discharge from psychiatric wards.  

The Role

The Project Manager will responsible for the effective management of our city reablement service. The post holder will line manage the support workers and referral coordinator. • Recruiting, selecting and inducting new colleagues Managing performance through supervisions, development plans and CLEAR conversations

• Develop, monitor and meet designated cost centre income and expenditure targets
• Contribute to wider organisational development initiatives to develop and improve services

About You

You will be passionate about supporting people with mental health needs. You will be able to motivate the team, empowering them to achieve great things across the service. When things don't go to plan; you will need to be resilient and have the character to bounce back. You will have a sense of humour and compassion; clearly demonstrating their organisations’ values of being Caring, Learning, Enthusiastic, Accountable and Resilient.

Having a ‘can do’ attitude and the right values, you will be able to work in a way to ensure support is delivered in the most compassionate and empowering way. You will have strong communication skills to not only work effectively and efficiently with your team and the service users but also to actively build relationships with key support agencies.

You will need experience in mental health and case management. Minimum or working towards NVQ level 3 or new QCF Diploma level 3 in Management or Leadership, Health and Social Care, Housing or another relevant qualification or experience at Level 3.

You will work Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm, however there may be expectation to work some evenings up to 8pm and occasional weekends and bank holidays.

Main purpose of the role

Reporting to the Fundraising Manager, this post will lead on the development and delivery of Thrive’s community and public fundraising whilst working collaboratively with the rest of fundraising team to maximise and develop opportunities over various income streams.

 The post holder will work with our local centres to develop fundraising opportunities and offerings that are appealing to the local community.

The role will also focus on campaigns and projects which either bring in significant unrestricted income (e.g. The Big Give), or that help to step change Thrive’s ability to fundraise (e.g. Thrive’s supporter journey).

As part of the fundraising team the post holder will support and work collaboratively on key projects and activities related to tribute, corporate, individual and regular giving.

Around eight out of ten autistic adults are currently unemployed. This means that the strengths and skills of autistic people are often vastly underused, and that many autistic people face significant negative consequences of unemployment.

The Autism Centre of Excellence at Cambridge (ACE) is committed to creating 10,000 new jobs for autistic people in the next ten years and are currently seeking a lead for this work. We are looking for somebody who is motivated to improve life for autistic people and who has experience of developing and managing medium to large-scale projects.

Main duties and Responsibilities

• Implement the plan as has been specified and agreed by our Board.
• Convene and run a network of employers and members of the autism community to share and discuss good practice.
• Undertake project management across the workstream, managing and monitoring activities and outcomes.
• Identify need, find options, evaluate, enlist and manage service and contract providers; services that are introduced to the network (recruitment and HR advice, financial advice, property advice, franchising advice, pooled procurement).
• Identify funding opportunities, coordinate funding applications to secure financial backing for the services to be offered.
• Build engagement with autistic people into all aspects of the workstream.
• Support the leadership team to develop plans for improving employment for autistic people in the UK and worldwide.
• Build and maintain effective collaborative relationships with a range of partner organisations; and large employers.
• Line-manage any future staff employed in this workstream/ project.
• Create and present progress reports as required by the leadership team and board of Trustees.
• Develop and maintain an evaluation system for the whole project.
• Support the Autism Centre of Excellence to manage recruitment and retention in line with best practice.
• Sensitively manage the challenges of organisations holding themselves to account in discharging their responsibilities around employment of autistic people.
• Contribute to other team activities in line with the post-holder’s skills and commensurate with the grade, such as arranging meetings, taking notes, organising and hosting focus groups.

Central England Law Centre (CELC) provides a vital service to clients across Coventry and Birmingham, providing support for all aspects of housing law through a team of dedicated solicitors, caseworkers, paralegals and support workers.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced caseworker or solicitor to join the team, supporting our clients across Birmingham in the delivery of casework through the Law Centre’s Legal Aid contract.

The successful candidate will be subject to a basic DBS check.

Responsibilities

With responsibility for a caseload of clients across Birmingham, the successful candidate will:

• Advise clients on all aspects of housing law through face-to-face and telephone appointments
• Undertake casework and represent clients at court as appropriate
• Liaise with the Legal Aid Agency in respect of funding applications and claims
• Complete public funding forms via CCMS and paper applications where appropriate
• Promptly cost and bill closed cases in order to meet individual and team targets

Person Specification

• A solicitor or caseworker with proven experience of the delivery of casework through a legal aid contract
• A demonstrable commitment to social justice
• The ability to work sympathetically and effectively with a wide variety of clients
• Experience of advocating for clients in court and with other agencies
• Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of legal aid eligibility requirements and legal aid applications

As the Training Programmes Manager you will have oversight and responsibility for the healthcare professional training projects and activities, as well as growing the M4RD network within HCP groups and training institutions.

The focus of this role will be on transforming and strengthening our HR systems and processes to centre compassion, care and liberation. As well as delivering the day-to-day HR functions within our small organisation, this role will lead on the long-term design and implementation of a People Strategy and a Learning and Development Strategy, supporting our staff to develop their own roles while growing as a team within our new structure. Key priorities for this work will be:

• Leading a review of recruitment practices, with a particular focus on equity and anti-oppression

• Leading a review of our line management practices and processes

• Supporting the review of our Socially Just Waging System policy

This role will sit within our new ‘Resourcing Circle’ - working with the Finance and Fundraising staff and liaising with our Board of Trustees.

We are looking for someone passionate about radical HR practices, who is excited to help us develop a structure that empowers and adequately resources our team to deliver their work.

Details:

Hours: 4 days: 32 hours per week based on a 40 hour week, flexible hours possible.

Contract: Permanent, subject to 6 months probation.

Salary: Baseline salary as of March 2024 is £42,248 pro rata  (£33,791 at 4 days a week) and is subject to Platform’s Socially Just Waging System.

Location: Oxford House, Derbyshire Street, London, E2 6HG, but remote working is possible. Most Platform staff are supported to work from home most of the time, but all permanent members of staff are expected to attend in-person monthly meetings, and other in-person meetings when required.

Duties and responsibilities:

People work

• Working within the Resourcing circle to manage all aspects of our People work

• Leading the development of a People Strategy, Wellbeing Strategy and Learning and Development Strategy

• Managing recruitment, selection and contracting

• Managing all employee on and off boarding procedures ensuring the company meets its statutory obligations and delivers an effective probationary process

• In collaboration with line managers, developing and managing performance appraisals, probationary reviews and annual reviews

• Providing necessary HR administration and remaining up to date on employment legislation (training provided) ensuring that any changes are communicated in a clear and timely manner

• Developing and managing our organisational policies and procedures in line with Platform’s values

• Support the Fundraising and Finance Manager in a collaborative review and redesign process of our Socially Just Waging System 

• Leading a collaborative review of our line management process and overseeing its implementation

Culture and wellbeing

• Coordinating the anti-oppression working group, and bottom-lining the development, delivery and monitoring of the anti-oppression strategy

• Managing individual and team development and training

• Supporting and maintaining a culture of care, compassion and liberation in Platform where team members can thrive and achieve personal development

• Maintaining safe working environments for staff and volunteers in line with our policies and procedures

• Providing an additional point for pastoral care for staff

Operational support and office management

• Provide general operational coordination to the staff team on a day to day basis.

• Manage the office, ensuring everyone has the supplies and equipment they need, the post is well managed, and the office is well organised and safe

• Liaise with our IT consultants to manage assets and IT needs/processes

• Lead and manage our organisational systems and processes

Board of Directors

• Prepare reports for the board meetings and subgroup meetings, providing advice and recommendations where necessary.

• Attend board meetings and subgroup meetings (involves a few hours of work in the evening, outside normal working hours, which you’ll be able to claim back).

Collective organisational management

• Pro-actively participate in sociocratic, consensus decision making in our team meetings, contributing to the general strategic development of Platform.

• Participate in line management processes, including line management of colleagues after probationary period

• Active participation and collaboration in Platform’s restructure process, including development of roles, circles and teams

Essential

1. Commitment to Platform’s vision, values and principles, in particular a strong commitment to anti-oppression, wellbeing, compassion and care as it relates to HR practices

2. Experience (2 years or more) in People (Human Resources) Management

3. Experience of designing and implementing HR policies and processes that actively counteract disableism, classism and racism

4. Knowledge and interest in progressive HR policies and procedures, for example alternative ‘just’ waging systems

5. Experience of leading conflict resolution processes in organisations

6. Strong organisational skills and self-starting initiative

7. Experience of collaborative team working as well as autonomous, independent working including clear communications and ability to prioritise and adapt 

8. Experience of collectively running a group, and/or working and/or organising within a collective management structure and/or a flat or non-hierarchical structure

Desirable

• Represent Relate at a range of events to promote the brand and the service offer.
• Contribute to annual budget and strategic planning cycles.
• Stay abreast of industry changes and competitive landscape to adjust strategies accordingly.

Education and Training

• Experience and formal training in a recognised Sales Methodology e.g. MEDDPICC, SPIN, Sandler
• BA Hons (desirable)

Demonstrable Experience and Knowledge

• Substantial proven experience in business development, b2b sales, or a similar role, in the service and/or not for profit sector
• Track record of securing seven-figure contracts.
• Strong understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.
• Proven experience of cultivating and sustaining strong partner relationships in a range of settings.
• Understanding of market drivers in the EAP/staff benefits sector.
