Role Requirements

• To maximise shop sales by achieving agreed targets both through donated stock and bought in/new goods. This involves proactive stock generation, optimum pricing, processing stock to agreed amounts and stock planning.
• Achieve Gift Aid sales conversion target through maximising new donor sign up and encouraging repeat donations.
• Achieve the shops Raffle sales targets through involving the shops team.
• To maintain high levels of shop presentation by merchandising and housekeeping to agreed standards as set out in the Shops Operations manual.
• Manage the stock levels of bought in/new goods, to include ordering of more stock as and when necessary and recording key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Assist in holding and attending Fundraising events to promote the awareness of The Children’s Trust.
• To source links with local communities to promote Retail in the community via media and other sources.
• Role involves a degree of manual handling in sorting and lifting of stock.

The Role:
To assist in the delivery of a high-quality, widely respected and customer-influenced repairs and maintenance function by providing full project management support and customer liaison across the full range of Stoll’s property compliance and asset maintenance contracts and programmes.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide a positive image of Stoll to its customers, stakeholders, and other relevant outside bodies.
Provide input to the Corporate Plan and Team Plans through participation in Organisational, Departmental and Team Meetings.
Provide appropriate ‘team’ cover in the absence of other staff as reasonably requested.

Specific Responsibilities

• Plan, organise and implement the delivery of gas safety services to include annual gas safety checks to all dwellings and gaining access to inaccessible homes.
• Develop and maintain effective mechanisms to ensure all gas, LPG, oil, ASHP & renewables and solid fuel appliances are inspected annually.
• Maintain up-to-date and appropriate records for the proper management of the gas safety programme and all other property compliance programmes. This may include both paper and electronic records.
• Ensure that STOLL meet all statutory and HSE (Health and Safety Executive) requirements relating to all identified areas of property compliance including all elements of FLAGEL –   fire, legionella, asbestos, gas safety, electrical safety, and lifts.
• Work closely with the H&S Officer to ensure that work relating to fire safety is delivered appropriately and as required.
• Effectively manage appropriate facilities management and property compliance budgets and resources to ensure optimum service/programme levels are achieved.
• Process invoices and ensure contract payments are made in a timely fashion.
• Provide colleagues with itemised service charge estimates for tenants and leaseholders detailing the annual costs of servicing/maintenance/cyclical works.
• Ensure timely, accurate and relevant performance management information is available for review and can be produced for the property compliance function. Assist in monitoring performance targets to achieve continuous improvement.
• Assist with the preparation, administration and monitoring of facilities management and property compliance contracts and programmes. Prepare specifications and schedules and programmes of work. Issue works orders and monitor quantity, progress, and quality of works on site.
• Manage contractors daily across the full portfolio of facilities management and property compliance programmes, ensuring that contractors adhere to an agreed programme for each individual resident’s home and that collectively programmes are delivered on time.
• Ensure timely and accurate administration of all records relating to property compliance and facilities management. This will include input and record keeping and include supervision of contractors.
• Records must be maintained to a standard which ensures that all information in connection with servicing and testing programmes is readily retrievable when requested.
• Carry out site inspections of works in progress when required. Arrange and minute regular meetings with property compliance, facilities management and cyclical maintenance contractors either as specified in individual contracts, or on good practice grounds agreed with the Director of Property and Asset Management.

About the role

This is a new role which will help to deliver a pilot strategy to grow long-term sustainable income by enhancing Breast Cancer Now’s on-the-ground presence locally.

Joining the relationship fundraising team and working closely with the high value partnerships team, this role is responsible for cultivating new long-term relationships and, in turn, driving fundraising income.

Uniquely, the post holder will help to implement a large-scale trial to further grow Tickled Pink, an award-winning partnership between Asda, Breast Cancer Now and CoppaFeel! which has raised over £100m. The goal is to grow both engagement and future income by directly supporting colleagues across Asda stores in their local area.

In addition, this role will establish and grow a portfolio of supporters in the northwest by cultivating relationships with new and warm supporters including individuals, clubs, societies and local companies. It will also line manage two community fundraisers based in Scotland. 

What’s special about this role is that you’ll be working alongside a supportive, innovative and fun team which has delivered continued growth in fundraising over the last five years.

The is the first time the charity has had a community fundraiser locally based in the northwest. It is one of five new roles being introduced as part of the pilot, and the goal is that they all become permanent. 

About you 

You’re a pro at cultivating long term relationships with a variety of new supporters to generate income, and have great community fundraising experience working with individuals, local companies and clubs and societies.

Position: Programme Officer

Reporting to: Senior Programme Manager

Location: Sidcup, Greater London, and hybrid working of 1 day in the office and 4 days remote (subject to change)

Starting Salary: £28,000 – £32,000 gross per annum (based on experience) plus benefits

Purpose

The Programme Officer will be responsible for supporting the effective implementation of project delivery activities across our portfolio, predominantly in Africa, Europe, Central Asia, and the Middle East. 

The post holder will support project delivery, ensuring quality expectations (internal and client), delivering within the scope and budgeted resources of projects, and in line with project timelines. The post holder will work closely with other members of the project delivery team, our technical team, delivery partners, and consultants to ensure projects maximise their positive impact.

The Programme Officer will also support the Senior Programme Manager to disseminate good management practice across the organisation, and advise on delivery approaches.

Main Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Programme Officer include the following:

Project Support

• Provide support to Programme Managers in the delivery of projects, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and scope and comply with client contracts
• Take on the project management of assigned select projects within a determined budget/complexity threshold, ensuring that they are delivered to time and quality
• Set-up and monitor project workplans, including change requests ensuring that approvals are formally recorded and filed
• Manage day-to-day relationships with delivery partners and internal team(s) and build a solid understanding of delivery needs and timelines across projects
• Monitor and support timely client and consultant billing and invoices attached to delivery
• Support onboarding of consultants for new projects, including due diligence checks and contract preparation based on set templates
• Ensure project management software and tools are accurate and kept up to date for allocated projects
• Provide timely responses to client queries and alert the Head of UK/Kenya Programme Management of any potential risks
• Lead duty of care and travel planning for staff and consultants, working alongside administrative officers
• Liaise closely with technical colleagues, Head of team, and Programme Managers / Officers on project support needs.

 Project Financial Management

• Monitor project budget performance, capturing variances and liaising with the Finance Team and Head of UK/Kenya Programme Management
• Monitor and support the processing of consultants’ expenses/fees against contracts and client invoices against contracts
• Make recommendations to ensure financial outcomes are met with respect to time, quality and cost, and provide early warning of project overspend
• Prepare internal project update reporting including finances and resourcing using required management tools. 

Organisational Support and Business Development

• Provide support in strengthening policies, procedures, and management tools for Development Pathways
• Coordinate with wider project teams to ensure technical capacity is well planned across Development Pathways’ portfolio of projects 
• Signpost colleagues to relevant project management tools and processes, when required
• Support project closure processes as required, capturing and sharing lessons internally
• Provide ad hoc input to evolving organisational requirements as directed by senior members
• Assist with the identification and monitoring of business opportunities in donor markets, as requested
• Update SharePoint and ensure project data sheets are developed and up to date to facilitate bids for tenders
• Collate and share project information to support the Business Development and Communications department.

Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours

The Programme Officer will require the following combination of applied skills, knowledge, and behaviours to successfully contribute to team goals:

Required:

• An undergraduate degree in an appropriate subject 
• Up to 2 years’ experience working on project support or delivery within international development,  research and/or the consultancy sector
• Ability and confidence to work independently and manage their own workflows
• Good communication skills and an ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with a broad range of stakeholders at the individual level and in representation of the organisation
• Excellent drafting skills.
•  Ability to understand and effectively analyse and utilise financial information
• Proven ability to resolve problems, anticipate barriers and create practical solutions

As Corporate Partnerships Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting and growing Jessie May’s corporate income. You’ll nurture existing partnerships while developing and managing a robust pipeline of new prospects, in line with our wider fundraising and organisational strategy.

Main Responsibilities

Relationship Management and Stewardship

• Manage a portfolio of corporate partnerships, building strong, strategic relationships and delivering high-level stewardship to encourage ongoing support and long-term sustainability.
• Plan, manage, and deliver corporate cultivation and stewardship events, visits, and meetings with existing supporters and new prospects, while developing a corporate partnerships calendar of activities to enhance and grow relationships

• Research, identify and cultivate new corporate partnership opportunities through proactive and strategic pipeline management.

• Research, evaluate and develop new corporate fundraising opportunities including strategic partnerships, Charity of the Year partnerships, commercial partnerships, payroll giving, cash or gift in-kind donations, sponsorship and pro-bono opportunities.
• Represent Jessie May at networking and events to promote our work and develop new leads.

• As directed by the Head Fundraising and Communications, deliver regular activity and income reports, and participate in the budgeting and reforecasting of corporate income.

Terms & Conditions and Employee Benefits

Conditions, including but not limited to the following:

• Checks: The appointment is subject to satisfactory references, DBS check and a probationary period of six months. 
• Salary:  £33,739 - £37,241 depending on experience.  Salaries are reviewed annually, at the discretion of the Trustees, where the budget allows, with any increases effective from April. 
• Pension: There is a group personal pension scheme that you are entitled to participate in, subject to the rules of the scheme.  You will be automatically enrolled into the scheme, however there is the option to opt out.  The employer’s contribution is 5 per cent while the employee’s contribution is 4 per cent of the pensionable salary.

About the role:

This role is based in Ashford, Kent and is offered on a hybrid basis, working from home, the office and also requires regular travel travel across Kent and Medway.

As the Operations Manager for our Community Team you will be responsible for the daily activities of a diverse group of staff working with people who have experienced different crime types, reporting to the Area Manager.

Background

The Minster Centre is a registered charity based in Queens Park, London NW6 that trains psychotherapists and counsellors and provides an accessible therapy service. As an accredited higher education organisation, we provide in-person and online courses throughout the week and weekend. The Minster Centre provides a psychotherapy and counselling service to the local community and has a number of rooms that are hired out for therapy, training, and events.

The Reception Manager is a critical and central role at The Minster Centre, providing a welcoming service to students, room hirers, therapy clients and staff members that is efficient and aligned with The Minster Centre’s Ethos. As part of this role, you will provide first-line support to tutors and students as well as undertake administrative duties crucial to the running of the Centre. You will also provide support to other staff members where appropriate.

Job summary

The ideal candidate will have previous administration and front of house experience to help ensure that all building users (students, room hirers and clients) are welcomed, that the building is available and set up for training and therapy services, and that the building is closed and secured at the end of the day. Furthermore, they would be organised, have excellent IT skills and knowledge and, ideally, practice of using Zoom. They will have the ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure. In addition, they will be able to work autonomously on various tasks and work well in a team. This is a great opportunity for someone with relevant transferable skills to develop those skills further.

Duties and responsibilities

Oversee and manage the Reception Team

• Ensure Reception is always covered by organising a reception rota that covers absence, holidays, etc.

General management of Reception

• Receive and welcome visitors.
• Co-ordinate access to the building, opening and closing of the building.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies.
• Order stationary and other supplies as requested.
• Manage petty cash.
• Keep the reception area tidy.
• Ensure there are adequate supplies of daily refreshments and organise catering for specific events.

Event and training support

• Set up for events and assist with special or evening events when requested.
• Organise and keep track of First Aid and Fire Marshal trainings.

Administration

• Deal with room booking enquiries and bookings for events.

Facilities

• Work with the Facilities and Membership Manager to source and organise suppliers to meet the various facility needs of the building.

• Support tutors and office staff with basic Office apps, Moodle, Zoom queries (support and training can be provided).
• Provide IT support for tutors facilitating Zoom teaching sessions including troubleshooting.

Student support and progression 

• Ensure that students are enrolled on courses and set up on systems accurately.
• Manage the re-enrolment process between academic years. 
• Oversee the recording of student progression. 
• Liaise with and support the Operations Team in organising the annual Graduation event and ensuring all eligible students receive timely information.
