We are seeking Event Paramedics to respond to and manage emergency calls/incidents whilst attending events. At all times provide specialist, clinical, social and holistic care to undertake clinical assessment and interventions those individuals in the pre-hospital environment, which may include stadia, concerts, motorsports, road races etc. This may encompass working on both ambulances / FRV’s and within treatment units as required.
Successful candidates will be registered Paramedics with the HCPC and be able to provide evidence of CPD activity within the previous 12 months.

Rainbow Hill Community Hub have invited Acorns to have a small craft and fundraising stall at the Christmas Community Day.
At Acorns we provide care and support for life limited or life threatened children and their families. We are a charity, and our fundraising is vital to enable us to continue providing care and support to the children: it costs around £13 million a year to run our care services.
What's involved?
We are looking for volunteers who can run a small craft stall with the children, no speacial skills required, however, resources will be provided. We will also be taking donations for Acorns Childrens Hospice.
Entry is provided as well as drinks throughout the day. There is also parking nearby.
How much time will it take?
12:45-4pm – You can choose to volunteer within these hours or as long as you want.

What will you be doing?
Our mission is to prevent and relieve poverty locally by providing emergency food and financial support. Distributing over 40 tonnes of food and £50,000 in vouchers each year, we are looking for a Chair to work with the Trustees and Director to drive our strategy and increase our impact.

Who is The League of Friends of St Mark’s Hospital Maidenhead?
The League of Friends have been supporting patients in St Mark’s Hospital for over 50 years, helping to provide equipment & an environment that enhances their comfort & care.
We maintain the gardens in the Henry Tudor ward & in Out-Patients, including providing outdoor furniture & planting, as well as providing a range of daily newspapers & making sure a nice cup of Nespresso coffee is available too. We have also helped the hospital over recent years by providing; a cardiac resuscitator, an ECG module, hydraulic treatment couches, specialised podiatry & audiology equipment, and software for a Dexta bone density scanner.
Why are you recruiting now?
While we are proud that we have been supporting St Mark’s for over 50 years, including during the COVID19 pandemic, we have recognised that we now need to need to “regroup”.
The charity has identified 2 immediate objectives; firstly, to develop our fundraising efforts as these have slipped since the pandemic, & secondly, to introduce standards of governance which ensure we fulfil statutory obligations & achieve best practice within a small charity environment.
We have recently appointed a new Treasurer to strengthen financial controls, & a further trustee with responsibility for developing our marketing effort which will provide a firm footing for fund raising. Further trustees have recently been appointed which support our charitable giving within the hospital. But we recognise that we are lacking the skills, knowledge & disciplines that a good secretary can provide.

How much time would I need to dedicate?
You would need to have enough time to arrange, plan & follow up on Trustee meetings. At present these typically take place in alternate months but there may be a need to move these to monthly as the charity grows. One of these meetings will also include the AGM. Meetings are held in Maidenhead.
As secretary there will be other activities which will require action between meetings, for example, keeping the Charity Commission updated, maintaining policies & renewing insurance. While these activities are not onerous their timely upkeep is obviously important.
One of the key features of this appointment will be the need to drive change & establish good governance within the charity. Although we are looking for someone who can help move this forward at speed, we also recognise that “Rome wasn’t built in a day”!

The Vision Friends project has been running successfully for the past five years, providing free, Welsh Government-funded training to health and social care professionals across Wales. The training is designed to help professionals better understand and support people living with sight loss.

About the role
We are looking for a qualified veterinary surgeon/professional to support The Sussex
Reptile Rescue Centre as a trustee & advisor.
Our trustees play a vital role in ensuring the Sussex Reptile Rescue Centre achieves its core
charitable purpose, overseeing the charity’s overall management and administration.
By joining as a trustee, you will help determine the charity’s overall direction and development
as a strong advocate for The Sussex Reptile Rescue Centre and our work.
As you champion our cause, you’ll continuously strive for best practice in all areas of your
role whilst effectively evaluating and mitigating risks, and ensuring compliance to legal
obligations under charity law.

Qualifications and accreditations
- A qualified veterinary professional, with a specialisation in reptiles
- Specialisation working with amphibians is a bonus, but not essential.
- Experienced committing to the requirements and expectations of a charity trustee
Skills and qualities
- Have excellent communication skills, with a willingness to participate actively in discussion and exercise sound independent judgement
- Able to offer well-informed and pragmatic advise regarding the animals in our care,
putting their wellbeing and quality of life at the forefront.
- A strong advocate for the charity’s work and what we do, with an enthusiasm for the
Sussex Reptile Rescue Centre’s vision and goal
- Be willing and able to attend regular trustee meetings (6 per annum, held remotely)

What We Actually Need You To Do
We need someone who can:
- Talk to HR people and managers about their burnout challenges (15-20 interviews over 2-3 weeks)
- Find organizations that might want to test this with their teams
- Help us understand what would actually work vs. what sounds good on paper
That's it. No corporate nonsense. Just real conversations with real people about a real problem.
Your Actual Tasks
Weeks 1-2: Find people to interview
- Use your network to find 15-20 HR folks, managers, and employees
- Schedule 30-60 min chats (we'll give you the questions)
- Could be over coffee, Zoom, phone - whatever works
Weeks 3-4: Do the interviews
- Have real conversations about burnout
- Document what matters (not what sounds nice)
- Work with our psychologists to make sense of it
Weeks 5-6: Connect us with organizations
- Find 5-10 companies that might test this
- Make intros to the right people
- Help us understand who'd actually pay for this
Time commitment: 2-3 hours a day. Work when you want. No meetings about meetings.
