The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Service Coordinator to oversee one of our Ofsted supported accommodation services in Hillingdon.

As a Service Coordinator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of accommodation provisions, ensuring that people we work alongside receive person-centred, trauma-informed support in a safe and welcoming environment.

You will lead and develop a team of Support Workers, providing guidance and motivation to ensure they can effectively support young people in working towards independence. A key part of the role will involve working in partnership with external agencies to ensure the people we support can access the services they need. What the job involves

We’re seeking a Website Content Officer to join our Integrated Marketing and Media team. In this role, you’ll take the lead in managing and improving the content on our website, making sure it’s clear, accessible and meets the needs of our diverse audience.

Acting as the ‘voice of the user’, you’ll be responsible for publishing updates via our content management system (CMS), maintaining high standards of quality, consistency, and accessibility across the site. You’ll oversee key areas, including the homepage, keeping information accurate, up to date, and easy to navigate.

You’ll work closely with teams across the Prostate Cancer UK to help shape their messages for the web, offering advice, guidance, and training where needed. Day to day, you’ll manage content schedules, review pages to identify improvements, and create or edit content to keep the site fresh and effective. You’ll also use digital analytics tools to monitor performance and suggest ways we can enhance the user experience.

As part of the Digital Marketing and Channels team, you’ll work closely with our email and social media teams to ensure our owned channels are aligned. You’ll lead on the delivery of our regular ‘News and Views’ articles in conjunction with our Strategic Communications team, and you’ll work closely with our Web Operations team to help identify and test new website features and fix technical issues.

What we want from you

We’re looking for someone with solid experience in writing, editing, and proofreading web content to serve a specific audience. You'll be skilled in using content management systems (ideally Umbraco) to build and update web pages.

You’ll have the technical skills to author and edit basic HTML, as well as prepare and edit images for the web. A good understanding of interpreting website analytics, including experience with Google Analytics and search engine optimisation techniques, is essential. You’ll be an excellent communicator, able to explain complex analytics and technical details clearly and accessibly to colleagues who may not have a technical background.

Working closely with the Product & Innovation Manager, you will play a key role in delivering the fundraising strategy, leading on the delivery of our individual giving and legacy marketing campaigns across a range of channels. You will create high-quality, compelling campaign materials and ensure an excellent donor experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Income generation

• Play a key role in the implementation and delivery of the individual giving and legacy marketing strategy
• Support the growth of individual giving income in line with annual targets
• Develop and deliver regular cash and legacy marketing appeals to a high level, including:
  • Developing propositions and cases for support
  • Create compelling direct marketing materials, including writing persuasive copy and developing strong creative content
  • Project management to ensure delivery on schedule and within budget
  • Managing relationships with agencies and suppliers including design and print
• Manage a portfolio of affiliate fundraising campaigns

Donor stewardship

• Ensure the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system is used effectively to facilitate accurate supporter stewardship and reporting

• Working with the Production & Innovation Manager, identify a pipeline of potential mid- and high-value donors for stewardship and conversion

• Work closely with the data team to ensure selections are accurate, timely and relevant to our various audiences, and use income data to make recommendations for future campaigns
• Maintain accurate, up to date and compliant records of individual giving campaigns and appeals
• Provide regular financial reports and reforecasts to the Product & Innovation Manager and Head of Fundraising

Relationships

• Build strong working relationships with staff within various functions of the Ramblers
• Work with other members of the Fundraising, Communications and Supporter Care teams to ensure that all supporter communications are part of an integrated supporter journey

The Person

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Essential:

• Experience working within a target-driven fundraising or direct marketing team, ideally within an individual giving context
• Experience of managing fundraising or marketing projects across a range of channels, such as direct mail, social media and email
• Experience of data-driven marketing campaigns, including segmentation and campaign analysis to meet objectives
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to tailor communications to a wide range of audiences

The Digital Engagement Officer (Web & Content) will manage the day to day running and continuous improvement of Sands’ websites, ensuring every page is accurate, accessible and on brand. You will support campaign landing pages, paid media tracking and monthly KPI reporting, translating data into actionable insights. This will involve working with colleagues across the organisation as part of project groups sharing expert knowledge from the communications and engagement team, and supporting colleagues to successfully make updates to website pages, following best practice guidelines and advice.

By championing best practice in SEO, accessibility and analytics, and by delivering training sessions for colleagues, the role ensures our web presence remains user centred, data driven and fully aligned with Sands’ mission to save babies’ lives and support bereaved families.

Experience of managing websites and CMS, including basic HTML/CSS fixes and troubleshooting is an essential requirement for this role.

You will be able to produce digital content including graphics or videos (e.g. Canva/CapCut) with the ability to support tracking setup using GA4, Tag Manager, and other analytics tools.  Knowledge of SEO, accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA), and user-centred content principles is also required.

Strong copywriting and proofreading skills for digital content are essential, as is experience of compiling and interpreting digital performance reports.  A high level of project coordination skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines is also essential.

· To work closely with the Supporter Care team to ensure all donors and next of kin are thanked appropriately and that a relevant stewardship programme is put into place.

· Work collaboratively with the Digital Engagement and Mobilisation team to ensure that all agreed marketing activity is delivered as agreed on time and budget. To ensure that all legacy and in memory enquiries are responded to promptly and professionally.

· Work with the CRM and Supporter Care team to ensure that all Legacy and In Memory data on The Raiser’s Edge database is accurate, valuable and kept up to date.

Person Specification:

In the role of Service Director responsibilities include:

• Work closely with the Executive Director and other Service Directors to develop and enhance our services, ensuring residents receive tailored support to achieve their goals.
• Oversee housing management income and revenue streams, optimising rent collection and minimising voids.
• Lead the delivery of commissioned services, ensuring local teams work effectively and achieve impactful client outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with policies, regulations, safeguarding, and health & safety, maintaining a culture of best practice.

In this role you will work flexibly for at least 2 days per week from our Central Office in Tower Hill, London, on site within your region, or other St Mungo’s London or regional locations. This allows for training, in person collaboration, team building, line management and other relationship building opportunities. We support a flexible approach to work with opportunities for agile working from home, or other St Mungo’s London or regional locations. 

About you

• Successfully leading substantial services for vulnerable people in supported housing, care, or similar environments.
• Proven success in engaging residents and shaping services, policy, and practice.
• Expertise in business/service development, with a track record of securing new opportunities.
• Strong negotiation, influencing, and relationship-building skills to collaborate with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
• Deep understanding of best practices in services for vulnerable adults, with a commitment to learning and improvement.
• Motivational leadership, driving a culture of best practice which ensures the safety and wellbeing of clients and staff.

The role involves liaising with school staff, local partners (including the Military and local businesses) and volunteers to ensure programmes meet the needs of our young people and is supported by the Regional Manager, Midlands. You will be joining a fantastically motivated and committed team of workers who are all passionate about improving the lives of young people through our specialist youth programmes.
 
The successful candidate will be based from home with a requirement to travel to partner schools and business sites in and around Wolverhampton and Telford. Fuel expenses are paid and travel time is included as part of working hours. Working with secondary schools to provide early support programmes, core delivery time is usually within the school working day and during school terms only. All other working hours can be managed with flexibility by the post holder to ensure that all administrative tasks are completed as required.

The EDI Lead is responsible for developing and implementing strategies, programmes, and initiatives that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the organisation. This role involves collaborating across teams and functions to ensure that EDI principles are integrated into all aspects of the work. They are responsible for fostering a culture of inclusion, holding people to account through knowledge and skills and create a brave space for challenging conversations.​

We are seeking a passionate and strategic leader with a deep commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion. You will have a proven track record of driving impactful EDI initiatives across the charity, private, or public sectors, with the ability to influence and inspire others through your actions and behaviours. With strong emotional intelligence, you will understand the specific challenges faced by minoritised groups and be confident in holding challenging conversations to drive meaningful change.

The successful candidate will be a confident and influential leader who champions equity, diversity, and inclusion. Skilled in fostering accountability and inclusion, you will create a brave space for meaningful conversations while holding a clear line on EDI expectations.

• Providing outreach support for minoritised participants as needed
