We are now looking for a capable Senior Acquisition Officer to develop, test, learn and grow our acquisition programme.

• Manage acquisition campaigns end-to-end across multiple channels (digital, lead generation, DRTV, telemarketing, face-to-face).

• Support, train and monitor fundraising agencies, including occasional UK travel for campaign visits.

• Deliver early retention activities to engage new donors and improve conversion and retention rate

• Oversee data management and reporting in Salesforce, ensuring accurate coding, reconciliation and trend analysis.

• Ensure high standards of compliance, following the Code of Fundraising Practice and wider regulatory requirements.

• Handle supporter communications professionally

We are recruiting sessional assessing social workers to undertake Form F assessments .  Our assessments are undertaken face to face. Applicants should be able to travel across South London, Dorset and Hampshire areas for assessment visits to prospective foster carers. Travel will include the following areas.

• South London, Dorset and Hampshire.

Key Duties for Form F Assessors include:

• To undertake and complete Form F assessments in the timescale set out in our policy and guidance.
• To visit personal referees as identified on application form for prospective foster carers.
• To ensure that all checks and references are undertaken and completed.
• To provide to the supervisor, regular written updates of the draft assessment.
• To liaise with our administrative team concerning the progress of administrative checks and completion of the Form F.
• To be available for supervision, consultation or liaison as required.
• To be available to present completed Form Fs to the virtual fostering panel and provide support to the applicants through this process.
• To be aware of our child protection procedures and immediately report any child protection matter or concerns to a TACT manager and any relevant placing authority and the area authority.
• To carry out the duties in line with our Foster Carer and Supervising Social Worker Standards and Practice Guidance.

Rates of Pay for Form F Assessors

• We will pay £2250 (inclusive of VAT) + up to £500 bonus payments (if criteria are met) upon submission of a successfully completed Form F Assessment.
• £37.50 per hour for assessments which are not completed, and any other piece of work.

You will be DipSW, CSS or CQSW qualified and registered with the relevant regulatory body (Social Work England).

The Role

As Global Head of Finance, you will lead a small, dedicated international team, overseeing strategic financial planning, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance across UK and US entities.

Hours and place of work

The Senior Fundraiser for Trusts and Foundations will be our lead fundraiser, drawing in support and expertise from across the team. They will take ownership of identifying funding sources, refining a strategy, forecasting our fundraising income, and building strong relationships with donors, bringing the experiences of our group members to life in fundraising communications. They will line management a full-time fundraiser who specialises in individual giving while the Senior Fundraiser for Trusts and Foundations will lead on grant writing. 

In the last 5 years, CARAS has had huge success, more than trebling our income and enabling us to expand our staff team and therefore our reach. We are a highly impactful organisation that is often looked to for our insight in the sector. We have an ambitious three-year strategy, co-produced with group members, staff, volunteers, trustees and partner organisations, that will launch in September 2025 and guide our current work. 

This is an exciting role that comes with many varied commitments, expectations and timescales. We are seeking applicants who want to be at the forefront of change, striving to improve the rights, entitlements and day-to-day experiences of refugees and people seeking asylum. This opportunity comes at a very exciting time. CARAS has been piloting a 4 day week from since the 1st of January 2025, meaning that all staff work 20% less time for 100% pay. The role: 

The Senior Fundraiser for Trusts and Foundations is required to lead a wide range of activities. You will be expected to manage your own time, prioritising tasks and leading a small team of people who contribute to CARAS’ fundraising. You will inherit excellent systems and skilled, supportive and enthusiastic team players. You will work closely with the CEO, and the senior leadership team which draws together Heads of Service from each of our programme areas. You will collaborate with our Finance Manager to ensure smooth management of grants and donations and will play a key role in budget setting with the Finance Manager and CEO. 

The role demands cross-departmental working, and regular contact with community members to enhance your ability to advocate for them. You will be at the forefront of developing new ideas and approaches, ensuring that teams have the money and resources to have an impact.

RESPONSIBILITIES  

Fundraising 

• Line-manage our Fundraising Officer and work together to generate income to meet CARAS’s budgetary targets through trusts and foundations, individual giving, community fundraising and other means at our disposal. 

• Develop and deliver a fundraising strategy which synchronises with the CARAS Strategic Plan.

• Research and maintain a real-time pipeline of fundraising opportunities and oversee delivery. Lead or allocate all income generation opportunities in good time so that appropriate co-design and decision-making processes are behind applications. 

• Maintain up-to-date records on potential and active funders in CARAS’s database. 

• Ensure compliance with best practice in fundraising including use of data and confidentiality. 

• Work collaboratively with Heads of Service and CARAS’ Finance Manager to develop, deliver and iterate systems to ensure grants are accurately and effectively managed. 

• Work closely with CARAS leadership to align fundraising priorities with programme plans and organisational growth. 

• Lead on the development of programmatic and core budgets for diverse grant funders. 

• Write and submit high-quality, tailored applications that articulate CARAS’s impact, values and plans.  

• Ensure applications are accurate, persuasive, and meet deadlines and funder requirements.  

• Collaborate with the team to gather supporting information, budgets, and case studies. 

Reporting & Stewardship  

● Maintain excellent records and monitor deadlines for reporting and renewals.  

• Develop CARAS’ outcomes report and donor report ensuring they are data rich and clearly demonstrate impact. 

• Monitoring the wealth of data CARAS collects through our frontline service to ensure we stay agile and adaptable within a changing policy context, supporting Heads of Service and other relevant stakeholders to deliver excellence. 

Collaboration with Finance 

• Work collaboratively with the Finance Manager to ensure the rigorous financial management across all income and expenditure to ensure all grants and donations are accurately accounted for and spent. 

• Working collaboratively with the Finance Manager and CEO, develop the organisational annual budget and lead on income projections for the year ahead to ensure expenditure budgets are feasible and unlock multi-year growth. 

Governance 

• Contribute to the maintenance of up-to-date policies relevant to the role.

• Attend board meetings as requested to share reports with the Board on fundraising.

• Work closely with the Treasurer and the Finance Committee on fundraising strategy. 

Cross-Organisational Contribution  

● Coordinate annual impact reporting, including data analysis, case studies, and visual storytelling.  

● Build strong internal relationships and stay connected to CARAS’s work by attending occasional programmes, events and residentials.  

● Contribute ideas and support the fundraising team’s broader work (e.g. campaigns, supporter communications).  

● Engage with programme staff to gather stories and data that demonstrate CARAS’s impact.

About the role

Reporting in to the Director of Organisational Effectiveness, the Head of Health, Safety, Security & Safeguarding is a key role for Christian Aid and will inspire, design and drive Christian Aid's Global Safe strategy, in respect of safety, security, and safeguarding, ensuring that staff in the UK, overseas offices, and partner organisations operate in a safe, secure, and well-supported environment.

About you

This involves regular health and safety checks, monitoring emergency alarm systems, CCTV surveillance, and conducting routine patrols throughout the premises. Staff are expected to co-produce risk assessments, crisis plans, and support and safety plans in collaboration with service users, their families, and professionals to reflect individual needs and circumstances. Providing person-centred support is essential, particularly during periods of crisis or mental health relapse, and includes offering intensive help around substance misuse by promoting harm reduction and safe use. Night staff also support service users in achieving outcomes related to health, economic wellbeing, personal safety, and meaningful engagement, while responding effectively to emergencies and ensuring accurate reporting. Additional duties include caretaking responsibilities such as managing housing issues, completing cleaning tasks as outlined in the rota, and conducting flat checks as necessary throughout the night to maintain a safe and supportive environment.

As a Legacy and In Memory Executive, you will help increase awareness of gifts in Wills and maximise opportunities for in memory giving through the delivery of compelling, timely and supporter-focused communications. About the role

Our People and Culture team are hiring a Payroll and Pensions Administrator to join the team to support with ensuring our staff are paid efficiently, accurately, and on time. You will play a pivotal part of the team to support with the preparation and processing of monthly payroll for all, coordinating effective and efficient end-to-end payroll and pensions administration, plus any additional relevant activities. You will utilise the tools and resources available to ensure we meet the needs of all our stakeholders and comply with legal matters. The role will further include:

• Taking ownership of administrative tasks in the payroll and pensions process, being the point of contact for enquiries in this area.
• Supporting the administrative process of payroll and pensions, including with the database/system, ensure that any problems are identified with the relevant departments for effective resolution.
• Ensure Full Payment Submissions (FPS) within tight deadlines and process for all adaptations are carried out in a timely manner.
• Support relevant colleagues to ensure the correct payments, reports, and returns are made to HMRC, pension providers, and other bodies.

About Social Interest Group (SIG)

SIG is a not-for-profit organisation providing thousands of people with good-quality support and care in residential, drop-in centres, community floating support settings (including people's own homes), probation settings, and hospitals awaiting discharge. We do so across London, Brighton, Bedfordshire, Luton, and Kent. We believe in the power of well-planned, well-managed services to make a difference.
