We are seeking a Facilities & Events Assistant to help ensure the smooth running of our events and facilities hire at our historic Richmond site. It’s an exciting time to join the team, as we continue to further develop our visitor experience and facilities hire offer.

The Facilities & Events Assistant will be the first port of call for enquiries, and will provide excellent customer service and front desk support to our customers. You’ll be responsible for organising the staff and volunteer rota, and ensuring that all the logistics are in place for a smooth customer experience.

You’ll be involved in donation processing, and maintaining records in our supporter database. The role will also have the opportunity for involvement in high profile events such as the Field of Remembrance and VIP/Royal visits.

This position is ideally suited to someone who thrives on a high degree of autonomy, enjoys a varied role with the opportunity to think creatively to solve challenges, and can flex their pinpoint attention to detail in our events and facilities hire operations.

This exciting pilot is a new approach to preventing rough sleeping, through the provision of accommodation with onsite specialist move-on support to those who are at immediate risk of sleeping rough. Where their homelessness cannot be prevented by the council and they are at imminent risk of sleeping rough, a referral can be made into the Rough Sleeping Prevention service.

The service will be based across three London locations in Islington, Lambeth and Kensington and Chelsea and staff will be based expected to work across all three sites

• Work on 7 day rolling rota inclusing early, mid and late shifts 
•  (K&C): medium – high support accommodation.
•  (Lambeth): medium support accommodation.
•  (Islington): Assessment hub space for up to 15 clients. Site will operate 24/7.

Each site will have staff delivering casework and support, providing each person with a comprehensive assessment of their needs and circumstances, and intensive specialist support to secure move on.

About the job

We are seeking a confident and experienced Modern Slavery Case Worker Assistant with a wide range of skills and importantly, a ‘can do’ approach. As a Modern Slavery Case Worker Assistant, you will provide high quality practical and emotional support to potential victims of modern slavery within a safehouse setting.

You will work as a member of the team providing a safe temporary environment for vulnerable adults who have experienced trauma and exploitation. The role will involve assisting service users with increasing practical skills and self-confidence to empower and enable independent and safe living.

This service is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Applicants must be willing to work flexibly, which will include on call duties, evenings, weekends and bank. Both roles will work between two properties approx. 4 miles apart on a Rota basis. A full induction and continuous training will be given.

The 30 hour per week post will be shifts from 4pm-10pm, 5 days per week, however, the initial induction will consist of day shifts until knowledge of safe house is comprehensive.

You must have experience of working with vulnerable adults, the ability to work within a ‘risk associated’ environment and ideally experience of working within a residential or community setting with non-UK citizens. Relevant social care qualifications or suitable experience of supporting vulnerable people is essential.

One of the UK’s most inspiring and best-known faith-based organisations, The Salvation Army, is looking for someone with experience of delivering a successful support programme to service users in a prison, probation or social care setting to join us as an Older Prisoners’ Activities Assistant Manager within The Salvation Army, this position is called CAMEO Assistant Manager.

In partnership with HMP Liverpool and Liverpool City Council we run CAMEO (Come and Meet Each Other) a programme which offers a supportive, caring and stimulating environment for older people in prison. As Assistant Manager you will assist in setting up an innovative and engaging day centre which will provide meaningful activity and positive relationships, improves wellbeing, reduces social isolation and offers opportunities for rehabilitative interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build positive relationships with service users and maintain effective stakeholder relationships with internal and external agencies in order to develop innovative and collaborative approaches to meet the needs of the prisoner cohort
• Assist the Manager in ensuring that all relevant administration, data collection and analysis is collated and reported on, including monthly and annual reports to line management
• Be an active part of the wider CAMEO team, bringing meaningful contributions to team meetings, departmental strategy and development of the wider CAMEO programme
• Contribute to any security checks, planning and risk assessments as needed
• Undergo training in safeguarding, security awareness, conditioning and manipulation awareness, and other HMPPS/TSA training deemed necessary by line management

To succeed, you will need:

• Good experience of delivering a successful support programme to service users in a prison, probation service or social care setting
• Good experience of working collaboratively with multiple agencies and stakeholders
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to develop successful and collaborative working relationships with service users and colleagues, including vulnerable client cohorts
