Job Purpose
To oversee the day-to-day delivery of CQC registered high quality dignified residential care and support services promoting respect, equality and the independence of the people supported.
Principal Accountabilities
- Efficiently manage the day-to-day delivery of the adult residential care home service
- Manage staffing levels to ensure sufficient numbers of suitably qualified staff.
- Effectively manage the staff team providing information, guidance and on-going supervision and performance management reviews.
- Effectively communicate information and instructions to staff and people supported.

Experience
- 3 Years experience as a CQC Registered Manager in an Adult Residential Care Home setting.
- Experience of leading a CQC inspection resulting in ‘Good’ or Outstanding’ ratings.

- Experience in interagency working.

As Project Manager, you will oversee the development and implementation of care plans designed to provide meaningful choice and a range of activities and support to meet individual needs. You will also contribute to the development of the team and be responsible for encouraging a culture based on respect and dignity for those in need of care and support, providing supervision and clear management to a team of support workers.
The ideal candidate will have experience of leading and coaching a team supporting people with learning disabilities or another vulnerable client group. Experience of supporting people with high and complex support needs would be an advantage. We're recruiting a skilled Service Manager to join our Eye Care Support Services (ECSS) Management Team in the North of England.
In this varied role, you will provide day to day leadership to a team of Eye Care Liaison Officers (ECLO's). Your excellent people management skills and transparent management style will enable you to motivate and manage a geographically dispersed team, providing support and sensitively being the driver of change and new service initiatives.
You will be accountable for managing the full operational delivery of our ECLO services across the North of England (Tyne and Wear, Northumberland, Cumbria, County Durham, Teesside and other locations as required.) You will be skilled at influencing external stakeholders to attract service funding, working autonomously to produce reports, manage your budget, deliver presentations and ensure KPI's are met. As part of the Eye Care Support Services (ECSS) Management team, you will support and maintain key relationships across health and social care services, participate in strategic and business planning processes and engage with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure that RNIB can reach more people with sight loss, earlier.
Supporting ECLO's and services, mainly across the North of England, will require regular local and occasional national travel, which may involve overnight stays.

Teresa House and Hamlets Way are two supported housing accommodations for adults with enduring mental health issues. Both services provide a high level of support to 16 customers on each service. Teresa House is a fast stream service where customers are supported up to two years while Hamlets Way is a slow stream service where customers can expect support for a minimum of two to a maximum of 4 years.
The service is under Look Ahead management since April 2015 and the buildings are owed by Notting Hill Genesis. As a support worker you will play an integral role in developing effective support and risk management plans. You will also support customers with aspects of their day-to-day living including but not excluded to; social and physical activities, medication, benefit entitlements, maintaining living standards, exploring employment, education and training opportunities.
This role requires a valid Right to Work for the UK as Look Ahead are not a sponsoring organisation.
What you'll do:
- To work on a rota based shift pattern which includes working early (8-4pm) and late (2-10pm) shifts 5 days a week.

Are you an experienced Health and Social Care Tutor, able to lead on the vocational curriculum area and develop the design for this curriculum area, support and develop other staff within the college and beyond to improve the vocational curriculum offer.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of planning and teaching well-structured sessions which incorporate student aspirations in line with their EHCP across vocational curriculum area.
