About our Complex Needs & Community Services

The successful candidate will manage and develop the Complex Needs and Community Teams at Hertfordshire Mind Network. The Services Manager will be responsible for leading a variety of services currently including the Flourish (asylum seekers and refugees) contract and the Primary Care Network contract. As the services grow and develop, other services/projects may sit under this post.

About the role

The role requires travel across Hertfordshire to our Wellbeing centres, community partnerships and external organisations and is responsible for a team of staff and volunteers who work within Complex Needs and Community teams across the county.

As a Services Manager you will be an integral part of the Senior Management Team (SMT) and work in partnership with Complex Needs Team Leaders and the other Service Managers across the Charity. Reporting into the Director for Complex Needs and Community you will be directly responsible for the efficient and effective delivery of two or more of our Services and a key member of the Herts Mind Network Safeguarding team.

Responsibilities of the post

• Support the Director of Complex Needs and Community with effective running of the complex needs and community services.
• Build strong relationships and liaise with commissioners and partner organisations.
• Manage the Flourish and PCN contracts.
• Work closely with all key delivery partners across the system to ensure the service is responsive, inclusive and easy to access.
• Support the development of services by promoting and being responsive to changing needs.
• Oversee the recruitment and management of client facing staff.
• Be a strong safeguarding level 3 champion and manage/support referrals.
• Ensure all policies and procedures are current, understood by staff and that they are working within these policies and procedures.
• Monitor outcomes and evaluate the service, ensure all KPIs are met.
• Process referrals and manage and prioritise all administration tasks associated with the service, including Payroll and expenses submissions.
• Be part of the Senior Management on call rota (out of hours), attend SMT meetings as required and support the work of the wider SMT. 
• Maintain and enhance service delivery standards and effectiveness.
• Contribute to the service development by working alongside the Directors to evaluate service delivery and produce progress and monitoring reports.

The Role

• Open and close the House and carry out daily checks for security, safety, and presentation.
• Keep all spaces – including communal areas, toilets, kitchens and therapy rooms – tidy, clean and well-stocked.
• Regular trips to the supermarket and post office.
• Run errands (e.g. flowers, supplies), manage waste and recycling, and support laundry of towels and linens.
• Set up rooms for workshops and events (furniture, AV equipment, yoga mats, refreshments).
• Support minor maintenance tasks and contractor visits as needed.

Front of House & Visitor Support

• Provide a warm welcome to everyone arriving at Future Dreams House.
• Help visitors sign in, complete forms and find where they need to go.
• Offer refreshments, give House tours and help maintain a calm, supportive environment.
• Answer phone and email enquiries with empathy and efficiency.
• Support with bookings and keep systems and calendars accurate.

Administration & Communications

• Manage the main info@ inbox, responding promptly and professionally.
• Keep room and workshop booking calendars up to date.
• Handle incoming and outgoing post, including packaging, labelling, post office runs and box recycling.
• Respond to information requests and send out materials such as leaflets and visitor information.

Volunteer Support

• Work alongside volunteers, guiding and supporting them through their tasks.
• Help coordinate volunteer activity, especially when the House Manager is away.
• Provide simple, on-the-job training around tasks such as front desk support, room set-up and kitchen duties.

Sustainability

• Act as the sustainability champion for Future Dreams House.
• Promote eco-friendly practices around energy use, recycling, waste reduction and sourcing.
• Help shape and track progress against our sustainability goals.
• Engage the wider team and volunteers in greener ways of working.

Health & Safety

• Act as a First Aider and Fire Marshal (full training provided).
• Support fire safety checks, drills and wider health & safety procedures.
• Help during evacuations and report any incidents or hazards promptly.

Organisational Support

• Work collaboratively with colleagues across programmes, fundraising, and operations.
• Support internal and external events as needed.

About this key role
You will provide person-centred support to a caseload of service users who will either be serving community sentences or being released from prison. This will involve undertaking assessment and action planning with individual service users which will result in timely and prescribed outcomes being achieved, and creating a safe and trusting environment, using trauma informed practice to successfully facilitate a supportive and constructive relationship with service users. You will deliver a range of interventions to service users, including group work sessions where required, and work with service users flexibly, meeting and undertaking interventions in a range of prescribed locations across a wide geographical area.

We will also rely on you to develop and maintain positive working relationships with external agencies including Probation, Prisons and partners, and work towards contractual targets and outcomes within agreed timescales and in line with specified quality standards. Using agreed CRM databases, recording all activity relating to caseload and ensuring all information is recorded within agreed deadlines are all also vital aspects of the role.

Suffolk Wildlife Trust is looking for a suitably skilled & highly capable Senior Finance Officer. This is a pivotal position within a small, dedicated finance team, where you will support the effectiveness of day-to-day financial support and ensure that accurate, timely information is available to management. You’ll be responsible for recording financial data across a range of systems and processes, helping to provide a robust financial foundation for Suffolk Wildlife Trust.

A major focus of the role will be the accurate and efficient processing of all financial transactions. This includes the purchase and sales ledgers, carrying out bank reconciliations, managing credit control and supporting the approval of payment runs.

Your attention to detail and strong numeracy skills will be essential in maintaining the integrity of the Trust’s financial records and ensuring that everything ties up smoothly each month and at year end.

Alongside core finance work, you will support the Trust’s trading operations by managing the online shop, overseeing stock for both online and retail outlets and working with EPOS and ECWID systems. You’ll also provide finance support to the Consultancy Team and Café operations, helping these income-generating activities run smoothly and contribute to the Trust’s wider objectives.

Working closely with the Financial Controller, you will support key financial cycles including year-end and the annual audit for both the Trust and SWT Trading, as well as month-end processes, balance sheet reconciliations and management accounts. You’ll also assist with VAT returns, legacies, project reconciliations, restricted fund allocations, budgeting and ad hoc reporting, giving you a broad and varied workload.

The ideal candidate will have strong numeracy and Excel skills, previous experience in a similar finance role and either AAT qualified or qualified by equivalent experience. You’ll be organised, efficient, proactive and comfortable multi-tasking in a small team, with a willingness to learn and take a hands-on approach. Above all, you’ll be motivated by Suffolk Wildlife Trust’s mission and keen to use your finance skills to support nature’s recovery in Suffolk.

This is a permanent position working 30 hours per week over four days based at our main office Brooke House in Ashbocking. We operate flexible homeworking arrangements where colleagues spend more time working together than homeworking. The starting salary will be between £24,800 (FTE £31,000) and £26,400 (FTE £33,000) per annum depending on skills, knowledge and experience. Full time hours (37.5 over five days) would be considered for the right candidate.

Direct Marketing Acquisition Manager (Direct Response)

You will develop and oversee a specialist area of direct response marketing, taking responsibility for paid media activity resulting in giving and prize-led support, and the associated programme and products. You will ensure the highest standard of quality and compliance, across a diverse programme mix. You’ll manage significant income and expenditure budgets and deliver exceptional fundraising campaigns to drive an ambitious growth plan, accelerating progress towards a cure.

Collaborating with different teams across the charity, you’ll be planning, managing and delivering the direct marketing programme across a range of media including digital, TV, telephone, and print. Activities in the acquisition portfolio are diverse; from delivering an established, successful core programme to playing an important role in exciting cross-organisational projects.

You’ll work with a team of three across a range of channels, media and projects at the charity; speaking to range of audiences with one theme in common – compelling people to stand with us for a cure.

Key Responsibilities:

Programme and campaign management

· Lead the development and delivery of the direct marketing acquisition programme and strategy, with a particular focus on the direct response elements.

· To be responsible for reviewing and developing our Weekly Lottery Strategy to maximize income.

· Oversee the delivery of the direct response acquisition campaigns; ensuring they are in market on time, on budget and on brand.

· Deliver consistent, structured testing to ensure continuous improvement. Where appropriate and worthwhile, ensure testing is applied to all activity and reviewed with recommendations acted upon.

· Involvement in charity-wide projects and groups; putting supporters at the heart of what we do, as well as playing a key role in the delivery of our Fundraising & Marketing Strategy.

· Management of all key acquisition suppliers including routine reviews, briefing, optimisation and general relationship management.

· Annual planning of acquisition direct marketing; including input to operational planning and development of relevant marketing plans.

· Ensure the campaign planning and delivery cycle is adhered to across the team, and all stakeholders are well managed.

· Ensure routine end of campaign reviews and analysis (with suppliers as well as your own), with proactive adaptation of plans to optimise results.

· Ensure contingency plans and activities are in place to close any expected income gaps.

People management

· Management and development of a team of three, with two direct reports.

· Empowering team members to succeed and grow with clear, SMART goals and development plans in place.

· Complete routine 1-1 meetings and annual appraisals with direct reports.

· Developing a high performing team who work collaboratively across the charity.

· Agency relationship management across a variety of partners and suppliers, from building relationships and negotiating, to contract and routine performance reviews.

· Working closely with the Supporter Care and Data teams to ensure the acquisition activity and processes are well understood and that they can support the team as best possible.

Budget management and reporting

· Annual budgeting of direct marketing programmes and campaigns.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Wellbeing Activities Worker to join our Oxford team. This new role is all about expanding the support we offer to clients, focusing on mental wellbeing and ongoing recovery.

Your work will help connect people with their communities, reduce the risk of hospital admission and rough sleeping, sustain people’s tenancies and enable clients to reconnect with and explore new hobbies  by providing holistic mental health and wellbeing support.

As a Wellbeing Activities Worker you will work across different settings within the community, clients’ accommodation, and day centres to engage and support people experiencing homelessness.

Key responsibilities include:

• Design and deliver 1:1/group sessions and activities to promote good mental wellbeing – such as healthy cooking, exercise, mindfulness, gardening, creative projects, volunteering, and community-based activities.
• Empower clients to access opportunities, attend appointments, and build confidence, resilience, and social networks.
• Collaborate with colleagues and clients on recovery plans, helping set and achieve goals that improve mental wellbeing; may include identifying training, volunteering, and employment opportunities.
• Manage clients’ budgets and personalisation funds, and maintain accurate records such as risk assessments and case notes.
• Recruit and supervise peer volunteers, and ensure client voices help shape service delivery.
• Build strong partnerships with local mental health and wellbeing services.
• Your normal working hours will be (Mon-Fri) on site.

Person Specification

• Must hold a professional accountancy qualification: ACCA, CIMA, ACA or CIPFA.

Responsibilities:

• Acting as point of contact and spokesperson for all financial aspects of the charity and a trading subsidiary company;

• Providing complete and parallel financial accounting services to the charity and it’s trading subsidiary arm, maintaining proper records of all financial activities, and reconciling any inter-company issues between the charity and it’s trading arm;

• Implementation & administration of a Pension Plan for both the charity and the subsidiary as and when required;

• Providing financial expertise, leadership and high quality support to the management team in the UK and our international offices;

• Outgoing payments for the UK offices and making International payments;

• Receipt of payments and making payments, in the UK and for projects Internationally in the field whilst maintaining separate budgets and records and liaising where necessary with International Programmes Department and other relevant departments;

• You will be responsible for the management and development of the small team of finance staff in the UK and internationally. Completion of all relevant quarterly, annual and other statutory compliance requirements for both the charity and its subsidiary, including

• Preparation and submission of quarterly Gift Aid returns and quarterly VAT returns to HMRC;

• Preparation of annual end of year accounts, filings and documentation for annual audits;

• Filing all relevant records with HMRC, Inland Revenue, Charity Commission, and Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator;

• Maintaining all relevant records and implementing changes to existing handling of records as required for compliance purposes.

We’re looking for a Development Co-ordinator to help shape and deliver a vibrant programme for older Nepalese women (50+) in Greenwich. This is a hands-on role focused on improving health and wellbeing, reducing isolation, and strengthening access to community and mainstream services.

You’ll work directly with women from the local Nepalese community to design and deliver meaningful activities, build trusted relationships, and ensure the programme reflects the voices and needs of those taking part.

Developing and delivering the programme

• Plan and run weekly group sessions, monthly outings, an annual health event, and an Advisory Group

• Co-produce health and wellbeing activities with participants, volunteers, and partners
