About the Role

As Team Leader, you will be directly involved in managing a 4 bed specialist short stay Home and looking after children aged 12 to 18 years old with complex needs; including Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), Mental Health Disorders, Substance Dependencies and Learning Disabilities.

Whether shift leading or joining in with daily activities, you will also share in the leadership of the team, helping to develop staff by modelling high standards of professionalism. 

The successful candidate will have:

• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Child Care or equivalent
•  GCSE English and Maths grades A-C.
• One year’s experience working at a level of responsibility with children and young people in a residential setting.
• An understanding of the regulatory framework relating to the provision of residential services for children and young people.
• Good understanding of the needs and risks regarding children in care.
• An understanding of trauma  informed practice.
• Experience of taking on leadership responsibilities in a teamwork setting.
• Ability to build genuine and trusting relationships with young people maintaining at all times high personal and professional standards.
• Excellent communication and team working skills.
• Ability to work shifts, including alternate weekend working and occasional sleep ins.

Our experienced, specialist youth workers engage with and support young people, aiming to reduce serious youth violence and exploitation. We consider every aspect of a young person’s life and build support around them.

Job Description

The Team Leader role has responsibility for the operational oversight of Redthread’s service in Birmingham, which is delivered across two hospital sites: Queen Elizabeth Hospital and Heartlands Hospital. The Team Leader also has oversight of any community work undertaken in the surrounding area.  The role is to be part of the wider youth work team within Redthread with a primary focus on youth violence interventions in a health care setting. In this role you will lead the Youth Violence Intervention Programme team at the hospital as well as the teams dedicated Counselling service. The team support young people aged, 11-25 years old, who present to hospital following an incident of violence or for whom them there are concerns around exploitation or extra-familial farm. You will have line management responsibility for the Youth Workers and Counsellor in the team, ensuring the service runs effectively for young people and also working with young people in the hospital as well as supporting them post discharge to ensure they have the support in place that they need and want. Main duties include:

• To recruit, manage, motivate, coach and develop a staff team including carrying out annual appraisals and regular supervision meetings.  To manage their health, safety and wellbeing.
• To promote and embed Catch22’s vision and values in local service delivery
• To ensure all service user information, interventions and other data as required by the contract are recorded on the relevant data management system in line with Catch22’s policy. 
• To manage operational risk, health and safety, governance and safeguarding issues in line with Catch22, Catch22 and Commissioner policies.

We provide a highly valued service to unpaid family and friend carers where they or the person they care for are a patient in hospital. The team work across 5 Acute and 7 community hospitals serving the residents of West Sussex. 

You will focus on and play a vital role in our Support at Home after Hospital (SaHaH) service, providing time-limited, information, emotional support and access to practical assistance to eligible carers following discharge, helping them feel confident and connected during the move home.

Alongside SaHaH, you’ll spend a limited portion of your week offering guidance to carers during their hospital journey—primarily via phone—working collaboratively with NHS staff and partner organisations to ensure carers are included and informed.

Job Description

The Team Leader role has responsibility for the operational oversight of Redthread’s delivery within University Hospital Lewisham and any community work undertaken in the surrounding area.  The role is to be part of the wider youth work team within Redthread with a primary focus on youth violence interventions in a health care setting. In this role you will lead the Youth Violence Intervention Programme team at the hospital. The team support young people aged, 11-25 years old, who present to hospital following an incident of violence or for whom them there are concerns around exploitation or extra-familial farm. You will have line management responsibility for the Youth Workers in the team, ensuring the service runs effectively for young people and also working with young people in the hospital as well as supporting them post discharge to ensure they have the support in place that they need and want.

We are a large-scale restoration and hospitality project in the Northwest Highlands with strong philanthropic and community commitments. The heart of our operation is on a remote and beautiful 766-acre island. In 2026 we will become a Scottish charity - The Tanera Project – with core purposes spanning rural regeneration, resilience building in our public services via the provision of respite breaks, and ecosystem restoration.

We are looking for a Team Lead to take on the coordination of our Land and Estates Team across our island and mainland properties, totalling 6,500 acres of grounds, in-bye land, woodland and hill. • Co-ordinate and assist in the delivery of union organising activity at PCS members workplaces in support of and alongside the relevant PCS Officers
• Prepare, plan, and co-ordinate team(s) support for scheduled union organising and campaigning activity
• Maintain direct contact with PCS members within their workplace(s)/branches as required
• Co-ordinate and delegate union organising and campaigning support work/activity to direct staff team as required
