Hours: 37.5 hours per week (No weekends, bank holidays or on call responsibility)
Salary: Clinical Band 6, £36,276 - £43,683 per year (pro rata for part-time)
If you want the opportunity to make a difference to patients with a life limiting illness and would like to work in an innovative and supportive team, we would love to hear from you. The main purpose of this role is to provide physiotherapy input, as part of a Specialist Multi-disciplinary Team, to patients referred for specialist palliative/end of life care.
You will be responsible for the planning and delivery of holistic care to patients, their families and carers on the physiotherapy caseload, both in the community and in Hospice settings. You will support with the delivery of our breathless programme, providing education and exercise to patient groups. You will provide evidence-based physiotherapy interventions to patients following the HCPC clinical standards of care and CSP professional Codes of Conduct.
What we are looking for:
· An honours degree level or equivalent in physiotherapy, Healthcare Professions Council (HCPC) registration and membership of Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).
· Significant post-graduate experience across a range of physiotherapy specialities.
· A patient-centred and holistic approach with a passion for palliative care.
· Experience in palliative care or transferable skills suited to this specialist field.
· Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
· A UK driver’s licence, business insurance cover and access to a car for work purposes is essential to this role.

Our Greenwich Counselling Service, including our culturally specific African/African-Caribbean service, has been offering free counselling to Greenwich borough residents for more than 40 years. It has grown organically from telephone counselling and crisis intervention to longer term and culturally-specific counselling and relationship work. Counselling sessions are delivered by our dedicated and highly professional volunteer counsellors, as well as a small team of counselling coordinators. Job Purpose
This role sits within our crisis alternative service, Safe Space, which is a core and out of hours service providing a safe and welcoming space for people who are feeling distressed and experiencing crisis. Our aim of the service is to keep individuals well in the community and prevent readmission into hospital. The service operates 365 days a year from 14:00-22:00pm across all of our boroughs.
Staff within the service will provide person-centred, practical and emotional support, face to face or via telephone or virtual on a one-to-one basis to individuals experiencing mental health crisis or preventing crisis.
The objectives of the service include:
- To improve the mental wellbeing of people experiencing mental health and social crisis in HFEH.
- To proactively work with keeping people well in the community to reduce re-admitters into hospitals by working with WL NHS teams (e.g. discharge, LPS, CATT, MINT and SPA)
- To provide a true alternative to A&E via a non-clinical drop-in service to support clients
- To provide support to clients accessing the service- for instance: signposting, de-escalation and crisis recovery planning.
- To contribute to an improvement in individual mental wellbeing.
- To remain a source of independent support for all clients.
- To treat service users with respect, dignity and personalised support
- To raise awareness of mental health services available with the goal to improve long term mental health and reduce social isolation
- To increase self-management skills of those accessing the service

Croydon BME Forum, in partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support, is tackling ethnic inequalities in health and social care through this “Can You C Me Project”. The Macmillan Team offers personalised support, information, and referrals for individuals affected by cancer, including families and carers, across six South West London boroughs: Croydon, Merton, Kingston, Wandsworth, and Richmond. Working within a team of three, you will be responsible for two boroughs, Croydon and Merton while supporting colleagues as needed.
As a Project Coordinator for the Can You C Me project, you will play a key role in engaging BME communities to enhance cancer awareness and support. Reporting to the Programme Manager, you will lead outreach initiatives, community engagement, and the organisation of project activities across Southwest London. Each coordinator is assigned a specific set of boroughs, collaborating closely with community organisations, faith groups, healthcare providers, and individuals affected by cancer.
Key Responsibilities
· Engage and build relationships with local communities, faith groups, and voluntary organisations to raise cancer awareness and improve support networks.
· Organise and deliver cancer awareness events, workshops, and outreach sessions tailored to community needs.

Policy Specialist (Children and Young People)

We are currently looking for a Policy Specialist to join Mencap. This position sits within the Policy and Public Affairs teams of Mencap’s Campaigns, Advocacy and Activism Directorate (CAA). You will work closely with our influencing, information and advice, campaigning, and research work, as well as sector partners like the Disabled Children's Partnership.
This is an exciting new role to deliver policy change and enhance the rights of children and young people with a learning disability. At a key time to influence Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) education reform, we are seeking a policy specialist to shape policy work that reflects the needs and experiences of children, young people, and their families. Working within the policy team, you will be responsible for developing evidence-based policy work and influencing decision-makers.
This is a full time position (37.5 hours per week). We are flexible with your work location, but there may be some occasional travel needed to our London office or Westminster.
You will:
- Translate complex work into clear and persuasive policy briefings, consultation responses and reports.
- Work within wider coalitions of charities, building collaborative relationships and ensuring that the needs and priorities of our community are addressed.
- Develop and expand Mencap’s ‘Policy Shapers’ work, ensuring our work reflects the experiences of children and young people with a learning disability and their families.

Engagement Coordinator
Brighton and Hove Speak Out is a dynamic local advocacy charity. We support people with learning disabilities to have a voice and choice and control over their lives through providing a range of advocacy services and community projects.
We are seeking to appoint a part time Advocacy and Engagement Coordinator to deliver a programme of engagement and consultation activity. The post holder will support people with learning disabilities to have their say about local services, share their experience about how support and services impact on their lives and make recommendaitions for improvements.
The role involves organising outreach and consultation on different issues. The post holder will support a group of self-advocates (the Link Group) to take part in planning, running and reporting to the Learning Disability Partnership Board.
The Post Holder will also support health advocacy, training and awareness raising at Speak Out. They will support the ‘Thumbs Up' campaign led by a group of Speak Out members.
About you
The successful candidate will need excellent communication and organisational skills, including report writing, and will be able to manage a complex workload. Role - Zero Hours Children's Resource Worker
