Job Purpose
This role sits within our new mental health Prevention Hub - which is a drop-in service providing a safe and welcoming space for people who are feeling distressed, seeking support and advice for their mental health, there and then. This service is a 9 month pilot project and will initially operate 11am-7pm Monday-Friday, however there may be a need to cover weekends/late nights, depending on the need of our clients and service growth.
Staff within the service will provide person-centred, practical and emotional support, face to face or via telephone on a one-to-one or group basis to individuals experiencing mental health distress. This will consist of 1:1 support; de-escalating and providing interventions, signposting for specialised or longer-term support, and delivering collaborative self-management plans with clients to improve mental wellbeing. The aim of this service is to de-escalate, and provide holistic wellbeing plans.
The objectives of the service include:
- To improve the mental wellbeing of people experiencing mental health distress, in Spelthorne
- To provide support to clients accessing the service- for instance: signposting, de-escalation, planned wellbeing activities etc.
- To contribute to an improvement in individual mental wellbeing.
- To remain a source of independent support for all clients.
- To treat service users with respect, dignity and personalised support
- To raise awareness of mental health services available with the goal to improve long term mental health and reduce social isolation
- To increase self-management skills of those accessing the service
- To reduce the use of police, ambulance and statutory mental health services whilst experiencing crisis.
- To reduce the use of statutory crisis services by people experiencing mental ill health without positive outcomes for the individual.
The Role
The role of the Prevention Hub Coordinator will be to support the rest of the team in delivering interventions on a one-to-one and group basis. The role will also involve triaging and assessing all clients accessing the service, signposting and delivering collaborative self-management plans with clients to improve mental wellbeing. Job Purpose
This role sits within our new Men’s Minds project, based in Hounslow. The aim of the service is to improve men’s mental health outcomes by developing a mental health network supported and directed by the voices of its members.
This will be achieved through three service strands: 1) Peer support network, 2) Psychoeducation workshops, addressing common needs of men’s mental health 3) Outreach support to raise awareness of men’s mental health and promote this service.
The Men’s Minds Project Coordinator will work closely with the members in shaping the service and ensuring voices of men in Hounslow are heard and acted upon. This service will be staffed with 1 part-time (25hrs per week) Project Coordinator and a pool of peer led volunteers. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the volunteers.

Bonny Downs Community Association has been working together to change lives and transform our community since 1998. Over the past 25 years our team has grown to provide a wide array of services that benefit Newham residents from all walks of life.

The role
MIND in Haringey and its partner Public Voice delivers the Voluntary and Community (VCS) Capacity Building contract commissioned by the London Borough of Haringey. Haringey Migrant Support Centre is a community-based organisation, with over a decade of experience supporting migrants in Haringey and neighbouring boroughs. We provide free and professional advice, casework, referrals and signposting on issues relating to immigration, housing and welfare. At our independent charity based in London Borough of Sutton, the Head of Health Services will lead on and develop Age UK Sutton's community health commissions including; our Hospital Discharge service which provides practical support to older people in the first days and weeks after discharge from a hospital admittance; Dementia Peer and Practical support service, delivering information, advice, peer support and some practical support to those living with or affected by Dementia; and the innovative Older Person's Mental Health Peer Support service operating in partnership with Sutton's Community Mental Health services and South West London Mental Health Services.
The Head of Health Services will have delivery objectives to achieve with their operational team, with current direct line management of 9 staff over 3 services and have strategic development opportunities to deliver excellent services to the older population in London Borough of Sutton.

You will manage the delivery element of the role from a base within the local community (where we keep a book stock and all equipment needed) from about 4.00-7.00pm. You will also from time to time be reading with and visiting families yourself, so you must be capable of lifting boxes, carrying rucksacks and pulling trolleys of books, walking around the estate and up and down stairs. Administration will be done at home/office.
You will need to have outstanding interpersonal skills to build relationships with both our dedicated volunteers and the whole family. You will inspire a love of reading in the children we visit and be a friendly face for their parents/carers, providing support and information where needed. You will be confident, practical and able to think on your feet.

Summary of Role
Working under the direction of our Centre Managers at Arc in the Park and Abbey Hub, Support Workers are key to
ensuring the successful delivery of our provision for children and young people. Working with children and young
people in group settings, the role will support the delivery of our play and youth projects and activities to aid their
development.
Responsibilities
● Providing for the social, personal, educational and leisure needs of children and young people by assisting in
the running, organisation and delivery of particular projects.
● Establishing positive relationships with all children and young people supporting and enabling them to
increase their confidence and realise their potential, fully integrating them into all project activities.
● Coordinating resources and to develop opportunities for children and young people which reflects their
particular needs and circumstances.
● Facilitating the active involvement of the children and young people in the planning and development of the
project programme.
● Facilitating the positive integration of children and young people with behavioural difficulties and/or
additional needs within the project.
● Supporting and guiding volunteers, trainees and junior leaders in all of the above, as required.
● Working as a member of the AAA team to ensure the safety and well-being of the children and young people
being supervised including day to day 'housekeeping' of the site and maintenance of equipment.
● Liaising with parents, carers and other organisations and professionals as required.
● Adapting activities to meet a child's/young person’s needs as appropriate.
● Carrying out health and safety inspections as required.
● Adhering to AAA policies and procedures in respect of safeguarding children and young people.
● Administering medication, if appropriate training successfully completed.
