Check NowOur Access Team assists asylum seekers in navigating the UK asylum process by finding them specialist solicitors and working with our volunteer interpreters to help them organise their paperwork. We currently work with 200+ legal firms around the UK, providing an invaluable service to both the asylum-seeker and the overstretched legal immigration teams.

The Role
As a Legal Access Caseworker, you’ll focus on providing outstanding support to your clients throughout the complex asylum process.
In this busy, hands-on role, you’ll gain a deep understanding of the function of the UK asylum system so we can provide the highest standards of service to those who need us most. A key focus will be on maintaining accurate and complete records and processes and delivering high quality service to every one of our vulnerable clients.

Responsibilities:
- Attend induction, ongoing training and keep up to date with resources and procedure to ensure you can carry out the role effectively and efficiently.
- Able to work independently and manage your time effectively, sometimes working to tight deadlines
- Take on new cases each week, whilst also providing ongoing support to previous clients
- Supporting asylum seekers to access legal aid lawyers, ensuring they understand the process and are informed so that they can make their own choices

This role is an integral part of a local team delivering a range of connection services across the community for older people who may be lonely and/or isolated. About the role

A. AIMS OF THE POSITION:
- Provide high-quality, impartial, professional advice, information and support to clients calling the advice line who may be parents, carers, family members and professionals experiencing international parental child abduction or have concerns about the movement of children across international borders.
- Maintain accurate, up to date, confidential data and records on the case management database to ensure continuity of service to clients and sound data source for reunite to draw on for reporting, monitoring, evaluation and fundraising.
B. SPECIFIC AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
1. Advice line:
- Staff the advice line 35 hours a week, responding to clients’ inquiries
- Undertake shifts on the out of hours, mobile telephone rota to ensure the service is delivering 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
2. Data and records
- Maintain accurate, prompt, up-to-date and appropriate records on the case management system to enable colleagues to maintain continuity of the service and managers to use data for essential functions such as fundraising, monitoring, reporting and evaluation

3. Support and participation

About the role:

Specific Responsibilities
Engagement
- Support the National Nova Manager to create and maintain strong working relationships with referring organisations in North Yorkshire and North East Area, including the Police and NHS Liaison and Diversion.
- Receive details of referrals from the Nova Client Advisors, or directly. If referrals are received directly share information with the Nova Client Advisors.
- Engage with veterans face-to-face for the initial visit and as necessary throughout their engagement with Project Nova, following the Case Management Guidance, RFEA Policies and the Project Nova Procedures.
- Register each Nova Veteran’s details on the CRM and obtain consent to share their data with organisations in the support network and any further information required by the Project Nova registration.
- Undertake a comprehensive needs assessment with each Nova Veteran.
Case Management
- Provide emotional support to veterans through regular contact whilst they are engaged with Project Nova.
- Establish a care coordination plan with each Nova Veteran that provides for support from within RFEA and Walking with the Wounded and with the organisations in the Nova area support Network.
- Work with families to ensure their effective participation in the Criminal Justice System, with other statutory services and with the support network.
- Keep clear records for each case on the CRM.
- Record the veterans journey on Outcome Star
- Ensure confidentiality, the family is a separate case to the veteran, who is also supported by Project Nova.
- When the Nova Veteran is ready, develop their employability and suitable opportunities for employment either, directly using RFEA employability tools and working with local employers or, through the wider RFEA or Walking With The Wounded.
- Project Nova is an active intervention. Close cases once the progress of Nova Veterans has reached its full potential, identifying long term social contact, formal or informal, in every case.

About the role:
This role is based in our Bedworth Office, although may begin by working from home. Whilst you will primarily cover that area of the county, there will be an expectation for you to be mobile, willing and able to support the delivery of service across Warwickshire. This post is fixed term until the end of March 2023.

We are looking for people who have a background in providing emotional support and practical research and advocacy for vulnerable people after a serious psychological trauma such as the death of a loved one in violent circumstances.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a full time Casework Administrator to cover the Overseas region at SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity.
You will be part of the overseas regional office team and will be responsible for providing specialist administrative support, working closely with SSAFA branch volunteers in order to ensure a consistent, timely, quality service is provided to SSAFA beneficiaries. The Role
As an Advice Centre Manager your ability is to ensure that each surgery delivers high quality person centred advice and support to clients and the public that could have a real impact on people’s lives.
The role involves working from all 3 current surgeries during the week.
A laptop and phone will be provided.
If successful, the main duties of your role will be to:
- Manage the practicalities of the advice sessions and ensure adequate staffing and resources.
- Provide an appropriate level of support and supervision to individual workers (both paid and voluntary) depending on their level of competence.
- Monitor all the case records of designated staff, volunteers, and trainees to meet quality standards and service level agreements.
- Ensure remedial and developmental and training issues are identified and acted on in a timely manner to develop individuals, improve the quality of advice, and ensure clients do not suffer detriment due to poor or inadequate advice.
- Keep technical knowledge up to date and provide technical support to advisers and / or caseworkers – specifically around the use and development of Advicepro.
- Manage the services and support provided by team members and volunteers, ensuring this meets appropriate quality standards and delivers personalised, outcome focussed, flexible support in accordance with Trust’s policies and best practice.
- Ensure individual cases are allocated and supported in a way that best meets the clients’ needs and where appropriate referrals made to specialist HHCT advisors or other partner providers as necessary.
- Ensure team members maintain a knowledge and understanding of services and support available from the Trust, statutory and other local providers.
Staff and Volunteer management
- Create a positive working environment in which equality and diversity are well-managed, dignity at work is upheld and staff and volunteers can do their best.

Support
In February 2016 we launched our nurse-led Support Line. We have answered over 13,000 queries from patients, carers, family members, friends, and health professionals. We are independent and confidential, offering time and a listening ear, and help people to find the right answers for them. We help regional and national peer support groups to run effectively across the UK. These groups offer a lifeline to people affected by sarcoma. We offer annual grants to each group, attend group meetings to give presentations, provide speakers and give support and advice to group leaders.
Information
Sarcoma UK provides health information to those affected by sarcoma, their families and friends. Our range of patient guides cover diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation and many other issues faced by those affected by sarcoma. Our information is very well received by patients and health professionals.
In March 2018 we launched the Sarcoma Clinical Trials Hub on our website. It is an accessible way for the sarcoma community to find out about sarcoma clinical trials in the UK.
Sarcoma UK aims to produce the highest quality information for the sarcoma community. We work in line with NHS England’s certification scheme, The Information Standard, to ensure the information we produce is clear and reflects the most up to date clinical guidance. We involve sarcoma experts and people with personal experience of sarcoma as reviewers of our information to ensure our information is accurate and relevant to our target audience.

This role is home based, but will include some travel nationally, and some overnight stays.
As a Peer Support Coordinator you will: -
Manage a number of Peer Support volunteers who have lived experience of bereavement through homicide. You will support them to use their experience to help others who are also bereaved.
