ABOUT YOU
We are looking for an enthusiastic and flexible administrator to join our small Care Administration team, playing a key supportive role in the Care team by providing effective and wide ranging administrative tasks and reporting & data services.
The ideal candidate will be a dedicated, organised and reliable individual with at least intermediate proficiency in using Microsoft Excel and experience of using databases due to the involved data and reporting element of this role. You will show determination to succeed and have a solutions-focused outlook. You will be passionate about information management, producing accurate and insightful reports for internal and external stakeholders. You will have a keen eye for detail, able to juggle tasks, communicate clearly, with a desire to make a positive difference to the charity.
The postholder will provide comprehensive and confidential administrative support, contributing to the efficient and effective operation of the Care Team (clinical and holistic). Colostomy UK is a national charity that offers support and advice to people who have had stoma surgery (ostomates) and to their friends, families and carers. Our projects empower ostomates to return to sports, hobbies and other activities after their surgery and give them the confidence to take on fresh challenges. About the role:
As the Volunteers and Support Administrator you will provide efficient administration to our support services and volunteer team. You will also undertake any admin duties involved with running the Colostomy UK office and support other members of the team. You will be answering and re-directing incoming calls on our stoma helpline. You won’t be providing support to callers; however you will need to have an empathetic approach whilst explaining that you will arrange a support call back from one of our volunteers. You will action calls that come through on our admin line and manage our central email inbox, ensuring requests are actioned promptly. You will organise volunteer rotas, help with onboarding our volunteers and organise incoming and outgoing post. You will be contracted to our London Hub, Haig House. Under our Future Working framework, there will be some flexibility for working remotely/at home, using our collaboration tools to work with colleagues but with a minimum expectation of two days/week connecting directly face-to-face with colleagues at the hub.

This senior role will manage and oversee OTR’s Wellbeing services, which include our listening support and counselling offerings for young people in the community and at schools, colleges, and universities across BaNES, and will also include our new social prescribing service.
The post holder will be part of OTR’s senior management team (SMT), working closely with the Head of Voice Services and Head of Resources as well as the CEO to actively oversee the growth and development of the organisation, and delivery of our strategy.
