We are looking for a Learning and Development Practitioner (Volunteering) to join our People and Organisation Development directorate and drive implementation of the RBL Learning Programme, with specific responsibility for Volunteer training.

Reporting to our Head of Learning and Development and managing a small team, this newly created position will see you proactively engaging and partnering with a range of directorates and services across the RBL group to ensure smooth operation of L&D activities. This will include leading on the development and delivery of volunteer management development initiatives.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Create, develop and deliver content for learning interventions for delivery as part of the RBL L&D Programme catering for both virtual, in-person and blended approaches
- Partner and immerse yourself with the People Business Partners and key stakeholders across the organisation to understand priorities and challenges, and to conduct regular learning needs analysis for directorates and teams, making recommendations for solutions
- Partner with the Volunteer Development and Training Manager to identify appropriate solutions, practices, and learning interventions to support Volunteer strategies
- Design, enhance and deliver the Excellence in Volunteer Management Programme, upskilling RBL staff to support volunteers through blended learning solutions
- Ensure that diversity and inclusion are central throughout the learning experience, collaborating with the Head of Diversity and Inclusion
- Support the Head of L&D with on the implementation of an evaluation process based around the Kirkpatrick Model to assess the effectiveness of learning interventions
- Manage and work collaboratively with the L&D Specialist and L&D Coordinator to ensure all L&D activities operate effectively with robust end to end administration processes that are fit for purpose

As a Finance Business Partner, you will play a crucial role in providing financial insight, advice and support to key stakeholders across the organisation. You will be a trusted adviser to non-finance teams helping them to understand financial data and make informed decisions. You will be a key element of the high-performing and credible finance team, supporting both the Head of Finance, the Management Accountant and the Assistant Accountant in operational finance and in ongoing delivery of accurate financial information on which the business partnering relies.

What you’ll do:

• Deliver a decision support service to managers and directors to deliver improved financial performance outcomes for the RCR.
• Ensure that partners use effective financial controls over their spend and income conforming to RCR’s policies and to optimise RCR’s outcomes.
• Support the partners in the production of outturn forecasts, budgets and multiyear financial plans that conform to RCR’s financial needs.
• Provide effective analytical insight and advice to partners and Head of Finance to maximise the return on investment and support for implementing change to improve outcomes.
• Supporting RCR’s regular financial and non-financial performance reporting with analytical advice, insight and commentaries.
• Support the wider finance team in delivering timely management information
• Help with system development within the finance team such as upgrades
• Cover for the Head of finance in their absence.

What you’ll need:

• Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA etc)
• Experience of financial business partnering role or accounting role in comparable organisation.
• Excellent commercial skills, including the ability to lead or support negotiations and to influence and motivate others.
• Ability to communicate effectively with non-technical/non-professional audiences.
• An enquiring and analytical mindset with the ability to spot risks, to dig further to follow up on problems and work through issues to offer practical solutions.
• Experience of collaborative work across functions to support others in delivering tasks and projects.

The Foundation is recruiting a dynamic Legal Officer or Senior Legal Officer to expand the TrustLaw service in Central and Eastern Europe and support its flagship media freedom project focused on supporting journalists in exile. You will report to the Senior Legal Programme Manager, EMENA and work closely with the TrustLaw, Programmes and Media Freedoms teams. The position will be based in London.

About the Role

As a Legal Officer, you will: 

• Support the development of legal content for trainings and workshops that address the critical legal needs facing media outlets and journalists in exile. These are likely to include registration, employment, broadcasting and intellectual property law issues in new jurisdictions, to which they have relocated.

• Design, scope and oversee the development of tools, resources, and other content on key legal issues of relevance to journalists and independent media outlets in exile, such as setting up in new jurisdictions.

• Support the implementation of strategies to recruit, engage, partner and manage relationships with media outlets/NGOs and legal teams, in Central and Eastern Europe.

• Scope legal requests from media organisations and journalists, so that the requests clearly explain the legal needs for lawyers to advise on.

• Manage legal requests from media freedom organisations, journalists or outlets from inception to completion, including connecting our clients with lawyers in the TrustLaw network or other legal service providers, as appropriate, and follow up with the parties involved.

• Oversee, review and support the work of consultants and legal experts working on legal research, beneficiary needs assessments, issue mapping and content development.

• Support the development and implementation of a communications, engagement and outreach plan to media freedom and legal partners in the region, as needed, in collaboration with the Foundation’s Communications, Social and Media Freedom teams.

• Assist and support the project manager and TrustLaw team on the administrative, reporting, planning, monitoring, and logistical responsibilities linked to the role in a timely manner.

• Support the TrustLaw team on media freedom thought leadership projects and, as appropriate, represent TrustLaw by speaking publicly on our work at panels, conferences, or other speaking engagements.

• Travel, when safe to do so.

About You

To be our Legal Officer, you will likely have:

• Legal experience to degree level or equivalent, preferably in human rights and/or media law, with experience working either in a law firm, media house, or non-profit organisation

• Understanding of international standards on press freedom and/or the media law/policy landscape in Europe, specifically Central and Eastern Europe 

• Experience of project management or coordination, especially on donor-funded projects is highly desirable

• Excellent time management and organisational skills including the ability to effectively and independently manage multiple matters and projects in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent research, drafting and analytical skills, with experience in training strongly preferred

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills –able to establish and maintain positive working relationships both internally and externally, with people from a wide variety of cultures and backgrounds

• Experience in Salesforce would be favourable. Experience working with databases essential

• Fluency in English; working knowledge of Russian would be an advantage

• Proven ability to work in a large team with varied stakeholders

• Integrity, professional discretion and ability to handle confidential matters

• Willingness to travel internationally

• Pre-existing right to work in the UK.

This is a full-time fixed term contract until September 2026, based in London. The salary is relative to the charitable sector and will be commensurate with experience.

• Assist with due diligence processes within the wider SEO team, specifically focusing on internal data security practices, response handling accuracy, and adherence to relevant regulatory requirements such as those for Gift Aid or the BACS scheme for Direct Debits 
• Proactively identify processes for improvement across the Supporter Experience & Operations Team to deliver efficiencies and improve the effectiveness of internal procedures 

• Support campaign managers and other colleagues with any new or existing projects relating to fundraising operations, working closely with internal stakeholders, ensuring requirements are clear and fully documented

• Knowledge of the rules and regulations of Gift Aid, Direct Debit, Data protection and PCI-DSS compliance 
• Strong team player. Proven experience and/ or evidence of providing support/supervision/ training to team members

• Experience of income processing and donor response handling
• Excellent IT skills (use of Microsoft products, particularly Excel) with ability to analyse data accurately

Your key responsibilities will be flexible. You’ll manage your workload and set objectives, priorities and deadlines with the Head of Fundraising. Your work will include:

Role Overview

We are recruiting for an enthusiastic and versatile Data and Impact Officer to join our supportive and talented team. You will be passionate about using your knowledge and experience to further the important work of UP in supporting children and young people with SEMH needs to reach their full potential.

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our team to work in Cornwall to promote and enable - walking, wheeling, cycling, and public transport as the sustainable way of travelling to schools, workplaces, and for journeys in the local community.

As the Project Officer, you will be innovating, developing, and delivering tailor-made packages of activities and promotional material to encourage and enable active travel. 

You will work in close partnership with Cornwall Council, public transport providers, Sustrans’ Behaviour Change & Engagement team and colleagues to support the development and delivery of a countywide Workplace Travel Challenge. This will help ensure that as many people as possible can benefit from the project and that more local journeys can be travelled actively. 

Due to the nature of the role, a full DBS is required. 

We offer true hybrid working, with a mix of working from the Authority office 1-2 days a week and the opportunity for home working. 

This role will require travel and work at locations as necessary to undertake the project on behalf of Sustrans. You will be occasionally travelling across the Cornwall region.

About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference and play a vital role within the Fundraising team at MHA. You will be responsible for developing and implementing the individual giving programme in line with the wider strategic objectives.

To do this you will manage the direct mail appeals and online campaigns, coordinate the regular giving programme, develop the strategy for the acquisition of new supporters and retention of existing ones, and produce the twice-yearly supporter newsletter. You would also provide additional support for the legacy programme when required.

Job Purpose 

The purpose of this role is to provide operational support to CAVA’s Health and Wellbeing Manager to support the delivery of the community engagement aspect of the REN Workplan which is identified through the REN Working/Steering Group. The Coventry and Warwickshire REN is currently funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) and aims to increase opportunities and inclusivity for people (particularly from underserved communities) to take part in research, to tackle health inequalities, and identify ways for researchers to improve the health and wellbeing of people across Coventry and Warwickshire Integrated Care System.

The post holder will be responsible for supporting Working and Steering Group meetings, attending REN events on behalf of CAVA and taking a proactive role in gathering examples of good practice and sharing outcomes and impact with stakeholders. This role will support engagement with communities throughout Coventry and Warwickshire by supporting delivery of in-person engagement events and support the recruitment of, and support related to, Volunteer Community Research Champions who play a vital and central role within this scope of work.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support organisation and delivery of in-person engagement events for the REN work
• Support the REN Working and Steering Groups with communications and marketing activities with various stakeholders (including with: VCFSEs; potential and existing volunteer Community Research Champions; updates to funders; and for various communication channels of the ICS) 
• Support gathering of examples of good practice and presenting these case studies in various formats
• Support the team with gathering intelligence, and liaising with VCFSEs about capturing and sharing in an Engagements and Insights Atlas the research opportunities and learnings from across Coventry and Warwickshire
• Champion VCFSEs involvement in using their knowledge and understanding of issues related to addressing inequalities and under-representation, and improving health
• Support the REN with writing monitoring reports
• Circulate relevant material and agendas and take notes from virtual and in-person meetings
• Support the REN with the recruitment, on-going support, training, and organisation of virtual and in-person events for volunteer Community Research Champions 
• Attend relevant meetings (in-person and virtually, as appropriate)

• Participate in individual supervision sessions with your line manager.

This is a new and exciting role in Refuge, and the post holder will be embedded within borough housing teams to facilitate the dual working that will ensure that survivors’ safety and housing needs are met. The post holder will be based within housing teams for three days a week, to help facilitate.

• Close working relationships with Housing colleagues
• Provision of specialist knowledge relating to DA for Housing Officers and Homelessness Teams to draw on
• Specialist support for survivors at the moment of crisis
• Provision of advocacy; supporting survivors to access safe accommodation
• Ongoing support from the IGVA from wider DA service, including access to group clinical supervision, casework management meetings, reflective practice sessions, one-to-one supervision from service manager

This recognises that many survivors will approach Housing at moments of crisis, when they are either considering fleeing, or have already fled.

The housing IGVA will carry a caseload of survivors and their children that require additional support. They will work closely with victims of domestic abuse from the point of crisis, to provide high quality independent advocacy and support to survivors of domestic abuse at the highest risk and their children.

They will empower survivors by providing them with emotional, practical and personal welfare support. They will ensure that survivors are provided with a safe, supportive and welcoming environment, enabling them to access their rights, make decisions and increase their life options.

The job involves informing survivors of the full range of civil, criminal and practical options that might increase their safety.
