As Helpline Care Navigator (HCN), you will act as the first point of contact for individuals, families and health professionals across the North and North East region.

You will deliver compassionate, person-centred support and clear, practical information via telephone and email, ensuring people affected by PSP & CBD feel heard, informed and supported at every stage of their journey. Alongside direct support, you will actively engage with health and social care professionals, neurology clinics and wider partners to strengthen local awareness of PSP & CBD and enhance referral pathways across the region.

This is a key role in maintaining continuity, quality and momentum within our Helpline service during a period of maternity leave and you will be reporting to the Helpline and Support Services Manager.

Hours of Work & Annual Leave

• 35 hours per week -  this may include working some unsociable hours, including evenings and weekends.
• 28 days plus bank holidays. Pro-rated for part time role.

The main office is in Milton Keynes, and we have a hybrid working policy with most staff spending one day a week in the office and the remainder working from home. There is flexibility in the arrangements that need to be agreed upon with the line manager.

Key Responsibilities

• To be ‘first point of call’ for people with PSP & CBD and their families living in North and Northeast region including, Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Lancashire, Cumbria, North Yorkshire, Tyne & Wear & Northumberland. Providing people with support and information over the phone and via email.
• To raise awareness of PSP & CBD across all health and social care disciplines in the region by engaging with HSCP’s and neurology clinics.
• To provide accurate information in all aspects of PSP & CBD in response to enquiries and signpost onto other organisations where appropriate.
• Ensure a maximum response to all helpline calls, emails and enquires.
• To keep clear and accurate records and statistics of enquires received and actions taken.
• To carry out a maximum number of proactive calls to people affected by PSP & CBD within the region as directed by the Helpline Manager.
• Develop and maintain the existing database of key health and social care professionals and regional services.
• Attend outreach events to build the profile of PSPA services amongst health and social care professionals.
• Work with the Director of Policy and Influencing to identify ways in which services and care can be improved for families affected by PSP & CBD in the region.
• To signpost to PSPA Support Groups and services.
• Liaise with external services to signpost to local support.
• Take an active part in the delivery and planning of information and support events, which may include the possibility of overnight stays and weekends.
• Liaise with the fundraising team to signpost to fundraising activities.
• Liaise with the Volunteer Coordinator to maintain and build volunteering in the region.
• To attend and contribute constructively to team and other meetings as required.
• To ensure the implementation of policies, procedures and quality standards as defined by PSPA.
• Contribute to the development of literature and articles for PSPA Matters.
• To undertake any other tasks, by agreement as required, in support of the work of PSPA.

The duties may be changed and/or varied to meet changing circumstances at the discretion of the CEO and Board of Trustees.

Person Specification

Essential Criteria:

• Experience in delivering helpline and/or information and support services
• Excellent listening and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to listen actively understanding different points of view
• Ability to keep accurate records
• Willingness to undertake training and continuing personal development
• Experience of and sensitivity to communicating with audiences from a range of backgrounds
• Strong IT skills, with experience in MS Office products and customer relationship management software
• Flexible and reliable attitude and the ability to self-organise and to work without direct supervision
• Good communication skills, both oral and written and excellent telephone manner
• Ability to manage difficulty questions, emotions and situations in a calm and confident way.

Desirable Criteria:

• Knowledge of PSP & CBD or other neurodegenerative diseases and/or experience of working in the NHS
• An understanding of Safeguarding and an ability to follow relevant policies and procedures
• Knowledge of healthcare or social care systems.

ABOUT THE ROLE 

Crann is now seeking to appoint a Head of Fundraising, a senior leadership role responsible for developing and leading a sustainable fundraising function to support the organisation’s mission and future growth. This is a newly created role and represents a shift from organically grown, CEO-led fundraising to a more structured and strategic approach that supports scale, complexity and long-term financial sustainability. 

Reporting to the CEO and sitting on the Senior Management Team, the Head of Fundraising will be responsible for setting fundraising strategy, translating it into clear operational plans, and ensuring the systems, structures and ways of working are in place to deliver consistent and diversified income. Bioregional Learning Centre (BLC) is a place-based systems-change organisation rooted in South Devon. We work with communities, institutions and landscapes to grow the capacities needed for a regenerative, climate resilient, bioregional future.

We are seeking a Bioregional Learning Manager to help design and run a new learning programme in bioregional practice and to coordinate the emerging Bioregional Learning Alliance – an international community of practitioner-educators.

This is a new kind of role. We’re not looking for a ‘finished article’ or a conventional academic. We’re looking for someone who is values-led, curious and organised, and who wants to co-create something pioneering alongside others.

The role

• Co-design and evolve a practice-led curriculum in bioregional learning and leadership (online and in-person).
• Plan and manage courses and events, including a South Devon learning pathway and international partner offers.
• Coordinate the BLA, supporting meetings, communication and light-touch governance.
• Build and steward relationships with practitioners, communities and partner institutions (including universities and learning centres).
• Support communications, evaluation and programme administration (budgets, contracts, logistics).

Job Title: Community Fundraising Relationship Manager known as Relationship Manager (North Yorkshire & East Riding of Yorkshire) internally

Location: Home-based covering North Yorkshire & East Riding of Yorkshire. Candidates should ideally reside in the area and have access to a vehicle as there is a requirement to be able to travel across the region to attend meetings, events and training.

• Someone with a successful track record of building strong internal and external relationships and generating income ideally from community and corporate opportunities

Do you have a head for fundraising and a heart for animals? This is your chance to become the face of Blue Cross in the south region! We are recruiting for a Regional Fundraising Officer (South) to join our community and events team. This is a hybrid role based at our Burford office.

More about the role

This is a varied and vibrant position where no two days are quite the same. You will work closely with the Community & Events Manager to develop and bring to life regional community fundraising plans that truly resonate with local people across the South of England and Wales. A major part of your focus will be managing and stimulating growth in the areas surrounding our rehoming centres, retail shops and vet hospitals. You will be championing our classic fundraising campaigns, such as Paws for Tea, while also spotting new opportunities to increase income and supporting our incredible "Do it Yourself" fundraisers to help them reach their full potential.

Beyond the numbers, this role is about relationships. You will be building and nurturing volunteer networks, recruiting new faces, and developing fundraising groups that can respond quickly to new opportunities. You will also identify and apply for ‘Charity of the Year’ partnerships with local businesses and managing those corporate relationships. Whether you are supporting local events, encouraging fundraisers to get involved through internal communications, or ensuring our donors feel valued through careful stewardship, you will be key to our growth. You will also be completing administration tasks to keep things running smoothly, such as financial coding, raising purchase orders, and liaising with our data team to ensure every penny is accounted for. 

This is a hybrid role with 2 days a week from our Burford office. There will also be regular visits to our rehoming centres, retail shops and vet hospitals in the South region.

About you:

To thrive in this role, you will be a confident and articulate individual who genuinely loves connecting with people. We are looking for a self-starter who can motivate themselves and others, seamlessly switching between chatting with a local volunteer group, pitching to a corporate partner, or collaborating with our internal teams. You should have a proven track record in community fundraising and the organizational skills to juggle multiple projects.

We are looking for someone with a flexible attitude who isn't afraid to make decisions and take the lead when necessary. You will have a proactive approach to growth, constantly looking for new opportunities to expand our fundraising reach and build on our income. 

Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

· Full driving licence and have transport readily available

· Demonstrable experience in Community fundraising role

· Demonstrable experience in running regional local fundraising appeals

· Recruitment and managing volunteer fundraising groups and individual fundraisers

· Planning of fundraising events programme and evaluation of fundraising opportunities

· Working with other fundraising teams to deliver diverse activities including events, corporate partnerships and key supporter/cultivation activities

· Excellent written and face-to-face communication skills, with an aptitude for interacting with colleagues and supporters on all levels

· Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), databases and the Internet

· Ability to demonstrate and apply Blue Cross values of compassion, courage and inclusivity 

Desirable Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

· Knowledge of fundraising databases (ideally Dynamics 365)

You’ll be responsible for overseeing the operational delivery of Vision Rehabilitation Services across a geographical area, ensuring consistency, quality, and compliance with national standards. This is a leadership role with direct line management responsibilities. You’ll develop and support a high-performing team, promote professional best practice, and ensure services are delivered efficiently and compassionately. You’ll work 35 hours per week, typically Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm. Some flexibility will be required to occasionally work outside these core hours. This role includes line management responsibility for teams across Scotland, so regular travel across the country will be required for meetings and 1‑2‑1s. Your nominated office will be Forfar or Glasgow, however homeworking will be permitted on non‑travel days.

 Role Overview

The Community Development Manager (CDM) will play a key leadership role for Queen Street Community Centre, bridging day-to-day operations and strategic governance. 

You will work from the community upwards, ensuring community and partner voices are embedded in decision-making, service development and future planning.

You will bring a strong understanding of diverse communities and health inequalities, helping QSCC continue to build spaces that matter — both physically (inside and outside the building) and socially (activities, groups and partnerships).

The post will also provide line management, supervision and annual appraisal for staff, while leading on fundraising, partnership development and sustainability to support the long-term future of the centre.

Key Responsibilities

Community Development & Engagement

• Work from the community upwards, embedding community voice in planning, delivery and evaluation
