Mindful Mums is an award-winning perinatal mental health and wellbeing peer support project that builds resilience and confidence in women and birthing people in the first year of motherhood.

As a Mindful Mums Project Worker, you will help co-deliver our five-week Perinatal Wellbeing programme with our peer support volunteers. Within these groups, you will provide a safe, non-judgemental space for women and birthing people to share their experiences, meet others and discuss the challenges that come during the first year of parenthood.

You will be involved in all frontline aspects of the project, including training volunteers who have lived through their own perinatal mental health problems. You will also help to review, monitor and evaluate the project, and disseminate learning.

You will have knowledge of perinatal mental health, be an effective communicator with experience of delivering groups or workshops, and preferably experience of working within community based or voluntary services. Your exceptional organisation skills will support the successful delivery of the project and ensure that it is evaluated effectively.

We ask that you:

• Have good communication skills and group facilitation experience
• Appreciate the pressures and stresses facing women and birthing people during pregnancy and as new parents
• Are reliable, consistent and dependable
• Have an understanding of the additional challenges faced by parents from culturally diverse backgrounds and LGBTQ+ parents

Points to note:

• This role will involve travel across the boroughs of Bromley, Lewisham and Greenwich
• Groups take place during term time during school hours, Monday – Friday
• You must be available to deliver a full five-week programme
• Groups are held within Children’s Centres and community venues across the London Boroughs of Bromley, Lewisham and Greenwich

The Director of Programmes and Partnerships is responsible for ensuring The Diana Award delivers quality impactful programmes and develops strong strategic partnerships that harness young people's power and potential to change the world. This role is one of four Director-level positions within the organisation, forming the Senior Leadership Team alongside the CEO.

The Programmes Directorate currently comprises four teams: Anti-Bullying, Mentoring, Social Action, and Impact and Influence, with a staff count of 25 plus a pool of associate trainers. The Diana Award’s programme strategy (2021-2026) focuses on embedding evidence-driven, youth-led approaches across our programmes, enhancing our profile as a platform for youth-led social action, and increasing our influence on policies affecting young people.

The Director of Programmes and Partnerships will work collaboratively with other members of SLT and the CEO to drive forward the organisation’s strategy and plans as set out in The Diana Award’s five-year strategy, Future Forward, and play a vital role in shaping the new strategy.

JOB DESCRIPTION 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Senior Leadership

· Drive the organisation’s strategy and vision as a member of the Senior Leadership Team, taking key decisions in the best interest of the organisation.

· Promote best practices across the organisation, including equal opportunities, risk management, data protection, safeguarding, health and safety, volunteer management, continuous improvement, and staff support and development.

· Build and maintain effective relationships with external stakeholders across public, private, and third sectors to ensure high-quality delivery of all The Diana Award’s programmes.

· Represent The Diana Award at external events and act as a media spokesperson as required.

· Prepare reports for the board of trustees and participate in board meetings.

Programme Strategy

· Provide leadership for programmes that deliver high impact, co-designed integrated approaches, which put young people at the centre of design and delivery in line with our theory of change.

· Lead the design, delivery, and review of The Diana Award’s programme strategy, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and conducting quarterly reviews to monitor progress.

· Work with the Impact and Influence team to embed evidence-based programming within the directorate, developing and rolling out appropriate systems and processes for monitoring, evaluation, and learning.

· Oversee The Diana Award’s policy function, supporting the Policy team and heads of teams to develop and embed policy objectives within programme plans, contribute to policy development, and identify opportunities to engage policymakers with our work.

· Identify and develop cross-cutting workstreams and initiatives to support the programme strategy and assist programme managers in their implementation.

· Maximise opportunities for young people to engage meaningfully and inclusively in programme planning, delivery, and review, adhering to sector best practices.

· Collaborate with the Communications and Impact and Evaluation teams to develop robust and compelling resources to communicate programme impact to core audiences.

Programme Partnerships and Funding

· Build and maintain strategic programme and policy partnerships effectively through regular communication and quality report production.

· Identify and cultivate new programme partnerships and funding opportunities to support the growth and sustainability of our work with and for young people.

· In collaboration with the fundraising team and programme heads, develop pitches, products, and funding proposals. 

· Hold budgetary responsibility for the Programmes Directorate and work with heads of teams to develop annual budgets and monitor expenditure.

Team Leadership and Management

· Build a cohesive and engaged Programmes Directorate that embraces The Diana Award’s core values, delivers work to the highest standards, and fosters a culture committed to reflective learning, accountability, and impact.

· Provide strategic and operational oversight on safeguarding as a member of TDA’s safeguarding committee, ensuring that a safeguarding culture is embedded within the programmes directorate and that safeguarding policies and procedures are fully understood and applied across teams.

· Directly line manage heads of teams, enabling them to connect, collaborate, and provide peer support through regular group meetings.

· Manage and support the wider Programme Management Team to collectively plan and deliver against our strategy through regular check-ins and monthly meetings.

· Ensure teams have clear shared and individual work plans, and that regular supervision, appraisals, and team meetings occur to monitor progress.

· Foster effective business partnerships between programme teams and core functions such as safeguarding, Marcomms, Operations, Fundraising, etc.

· Implement appropriate policies and practices for recruiting, onboarding, and managing volunteers in line with sector best practices.

· Encourage and support continuous professional development within the directorate by signposting and seeking relevant opportunities.

· Substantial experience in a similar leadership role, managing a fast-paced programme portfolio.

· Experience leading and delivering successful large-scale services for young people.

We are seeking a passionate, dynamic individual to take on the role of Garden Community Hub Coordinator for our site in Tooting.

The role will involve supporting our garden move and coordinating the development of our site and provision in our new space. This will include working closely with the team to develop new projects delivered from the site and coordinating the transition of our operations. You will also oversee the growth and development of the Share Garden Centre, our customer-facing enterprise, enabling it to flourish. In managing the Garden Centre, you will ensure that it provides excellent training and work experience for our students as well as being the plant centre of choice for local people.

You will work closely with our Lead Horticulture Trainer and Head of Training to support the delivery of training and therapeutic activities in the garden. You will report into the Head of Volunteering and Community Services to ensure the smooth transition of the site activities into our new temporary building as well as planning our operations ahead of the move to our permanent new space. You will line manage our Project Support Worker and Cleaner, work closely with the garden team and across departments to develop and deliver our provision for adults with learning disabilities and/or autism. You will ensure the space, activities and provision is a welcoming, supportive and safe environment for students, external members, and volunteers. You’ll be inclusive and person-centred in your approach at all times.

Main responsibilities 

• Work as part of a team to plan, develop and deliver the projects at our Tooting site which includes our horticulture programme, student training, social enterprise, and garden
• Work closely with the Head of Volunteering and Community Services to plan the move to the new site  and manage the transition period,  including delivering updates and briefings to the garden team regarding the progress of the move and impact on staff and students
• Coordinate the day to day running of our projects and site, ensuring the best use of available resources and maximising opportunities for the development and delivery of new projects.
• Line manage our support worker and cleaner; coordinate regular team meetings and project staffing, and induct new staff and volunteers to the site
• Build and maintain relationships with like-minded organisations across South West London to expand opportunities for students, our social enterprise and garden project, and ensure the suitable growth of services. This includes, building new customer relationships with people visiting and buying from Share Nurseries

The Role

The role aims to drive and implement ambitious fundraising strategy to support the work of Queen Square. The Individual Giving Manager will shape and deliver the complete experience for new and existing supporters, lead marketing and communications efforts, and oversee Legacy giving.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and implement a cohesive supporter journey strategy focussed on supporter needs and continuous re-engagement
• Champion best practice and stewardship with individual supporters
• Grow one-off donations and regular gifts and maximise the acquisition of new supporters through direct mail and digital marketing

• Regularly review campaign deliverables to ensure targets are on track or adjustments are put in place to mitigate any shortfalls etc
• Regularly report back to the Director of Fundraising on plans and activities
• Lead and manage the Supporter Journeys mapping and implementation programme across a range of channels and products

Research & Service Development

• Identify individual giving trends and use this knowledge to continually develop new products for the charity
• In line with GDPR and complying with all legislation and the Code of Fundraising Practice: ensure fundraising and campaigns are insight-led and focused on long-term growth
• Oversee the compliance of third party agencies to ensure activity is carried out in line with the value of The National Brain Appeal, the Fundraising Code of Practice and the law

The postholder will lead a team of three to deliver on a central part of the overall fundraising strategy, with the ultimate aim of growing our individual giving income to increase the impact of the charity and benefit patients and those affected by neurological and neuromuscular conditions.

They are looking for candidates with extensive experience of designing, delivering and reporting on individual giving fundraising activities. The ideal candidate will have experience of developing an individual giving programme that includes revamping a supporter journey, designing uplifting campaigns and producing conversion messaging to supporters from cash appeal donor to regular givers.

About You  

They are looking for a highly motivated individual with experience in business planning or rural estate management with a passion for nature and entrepreneurial spirit to support the acquisition and management planning of new nature reserves in Wales which help restore Celtic rainforest and other important habitats. 

Nature conservation is changing, in the face of the biodiversity and climate crises no longer is it sufficient to protect existing habitats but instead we must look to restore nature at scale in order to ensure it’s survival. To meet this challenge, the nature reserves of the future must also adapt; new sites must become resilient both ecologically and financially. This means utilising a wide variety of funding streams and carefully considering restoration interventions, all whilst making these sites as engaging and accessible as possible. This post will work alongside the Rainforest Restoration Programme team to ensure that new rainforest sites support nature recovery and improve the resilience of the Trusts in Wales. By showcasing these new sites, they can act as powerful advocacy tools that support nature beyond their own boundaries thereby maximising the positive impact of the programme for nature and for communities. 

The Atlantic Rainforest Restoration Programme is a £38.9 million, 100-year programme working in a long-term partnership with Aviva. Native to the British Isles, temperate rainforest is an incredibly rare and biodiverse habitat, rarer even, than its tropical counterpart. This programme is going beyond traditional habitat restoration and creating new rainforests on eligible sites across the bioclimatic envelope (the area along our Atlantic coastline with the specific conditions needed for rainforest to thrive). 

You will need to understand the political, economic and social context that the Welsh and UK nature conservation sector operates within. With that understanding, you will be able to use your direct experience of funding and investment as well as business planning to help the Trusts in Wales create a network of new nature reserves with sustainable business models. 

You will be highly organised – prioritising time and workload effectively. You will be able to utilise ICT efficiently and effectively. Your personable approach will enable you to work with all, building collaborations and partnerships across Trusts and with many different stakeholders. 

Your knowledge of woodland ecology and creation together with relevant regulatory processes, grant options and contracting methods will be essential to the successful delivery of Celtic Rainforest creation on these sites.

As a senior youth worker you will be part of the team at Carney’s community, involved in the running of the youth boxing sessions, youth club and bike workshop. The post will start before the lead youth worker is on maternity leave to allow you time to get to know the team, the young people and for effective handover when you will be given responsibility for overseeing the youth club and bike workshop sessions and work in partnership with the head coach to run the youth boxing sessions. You will also manage a small team of sessional youth workers. You don’t need any particular experience in boxing or bike maintenance, but we are looking for people with experience of working with and supporting young people aged 11-18.

We have the option of working between 3 and 5 days a week, but you will be required to work Monday, Wednesday and Thursday between 12.30pm and 8.30pm when our sessions run.

Job Purpose and Key Responsibilities

This is an excellent opportunity to take on an exciting role within the Humanitarian Team of the Programme & Policy Department/Programme Management Team.

We are looking for someone with a good understanding of anticipatory action and disaster risk financing, including the development, monitoring and management of risk triggers, crisis modifiers and related fund management tools. A good grasp of programme and financial management combined with an ability to provide distance support to Country Offices and partners.

The Senior Programme Manager – Anticipatory Action (AA) will have significant input and provide technical leadership on the development of a new Early Action Fund, piloted with a select group of CARE country offices. She/he is responsible for the overall management for projects supported by the Fund as well as DRF projects with the Start Network (Start Ready) across the programme management lifecycle from the contracting stage to close out. The portfolio might include other humanitarian projects dependent on pipeline and workload. The SPM-AA leads the relationship with donors, working with country offices and technical teams to ensure programmes are delivered in line with CARE International strategies and procedures, and in compliance with donor requirements. Specific areas of responsibilities include programme quality, accountability, relationship management, impact reporting and knowledge management, compliance and risk management. In addition, he/she will be an effective team member and committed to tackling discrimination and structural inequality and promoting CARE International’s Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) and Child Protection policy with team members and in day-to-day practice.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have a strong understanding of increasing women’s voice and leadership in community-based approaches in anticipatory action. You will also have some experience in project cycle management and will provide integrated contract, financial and compliance expertise: from annual budget set up to reporting and close out. You will have strong experience with managing multiple stakeholders across a single project.

National Growth

These are innovative roles to develop social prescribing in the local NHS. Based in one of the six Primary Care Networks (PCN) you will work in different GP practices across that Network to deliver their specific priorities. You will join a team of ten Social Prescribing Link Workers working in Haringey PCNs and be part of a wider community-based Borough team which offers information, signposting and short-term support across the eight localities in Haringey.

Social prescribing empowers people to take control of their health and wellbeing through referral to non-medical Social Prescribing Link Workers, who give time, focus on ‘what matters to me’ and take a holistic approach, connecting people to community groups and statutory services for practical and emotional support.

Social prescribing can help to strengthen community resilience and personal resilience and reduces health inequalities by addressing the wider determinants of health, such as debt, poor housing and physical inactivity, by increasing people’s active involvement with their local communities. It particularly works for people with long-term conditions (including support for mental health), for people who are lonely or isolated, or have complex social needs which affect their wellbeing.

At the centre of the social prescribing process is the Social Prescribing Link Worker, working with GP Practices in a Primary Care Network, who connects patients who are referred to a range of activities and services in the local area depending on their needs, interests and capacity for engagement. This is a complex role as the SPLW will need to have good interpersonal skills to engage with the patient and have a comprehensive knowledge of the services and activities available in the local area.

ELMS consists of 4 supported houses, a small floating support service and a day programme for adults experiencing severe, enduring mental health problems. The service is commissioned to provide longer term placements, with varying lengths of stay. This role involves travelling between the houses and working some weekends.

About the role:

Project workers will work with clients at their own pace to develop their independent living skills as much as possible, manage their prescribed treatment, develop their living skills, develop & manage relationships and build social networks. Where possible you will assist them to access education, training or employment, by completing comprehensive needs and risk assessments with clients and identifying short-term objectives.

As a Project Worker you will take part in all aspects of the day to day running of the schemes, working as part of a shift from Monday to Sunday.  You will be required to work with clients effectively; providing support via structured key working.  You will also carry out assessments including risk assessments and goal setting via SHP support planning.  All Support plans will aim to promote SHP’s values and practices.

You will be responsible for implementing holistic support strategies to address the emotional, practical and housing management needs of residents of the project. This includes assisting residents with maintaining their mental health, practical daily tasks and maintaining a safe, clean, living environment.

The role will form a pivotal position within the schemes as Project workers are the point of contact for daily events. This might include structured group work, you will also support the project leads with activities and support case-holders to carry out allocated tasks.

• A working knowledge of severe and enduring mental ill-health, and the interventions and effective approaches to supporting individuals experiencing such conditions.
