It’s an exciting time join the Design Museum’s senior leadership team. We have recently set out our vision and five-year strategy that focuses on how we can realise the transformative potential of design. Over the past two years we have substantially increased programming throughout our landmark building which is buzzing with energy and purpose. We have established Future Observatory as the national centre for design research for the green transition and been accorded IRO status in record time, the first independent museum to be recognised in this way.

As part of the dynamic senior leadership team, the CFO will work closely with the board and CEO/Director to drive change across the organization. This role will be responsible for leading financial strategy, leading strategic thinking about future income generation, and enhancing the organisation’s financial and operational stability to enable the museum to realise its ambitions. Leading the Finance and People teams this role has the key levers to shape the future of the museum.

Our partner is a nonprofit organization providing accessible & effective mental health interventions for youths. They are seeking a part-time CFO to add expertise and oversight of their finance function to ensure financial sustainability. Responsibilities

• Develop and implement financial strategies, and lead the development of financial projections and scenario planning to inform decision making.

Requirements

• Qualified accountant with at least 5 years of relevant experience, and willing to be hands on.
• Strong technical accounting experience covering financial accounting, management accounting, budget creation and monitoring, financial analysis, and reporting, preferably within a not for profit.
• Experience of working in a start-up or of establishing a finance function is strongly desirable.
• Experience of leading a finance function, including providing financial analysis & insight  and strategic advice to aid decision making.
• Experience of grants management, compliance and reporting
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to work with both finance and non-finance staff.
• Strong strategic and problem solving skills. 

This is a remote role, although they would be open to someone working from their office.

They anticipate the role will require 2 days/week, perhaps with more time required initially to set up the finance function and then at important times in the year, including year-end.

Role: Finance Manager 

Location: The Royal Court Theatre, London 

Contract: Full time/permanent 

Salary: £36,000 - £41,000 (gross) per annum 

This is an exciting and varied role requiring an eye for detail and engagement across all departments within the organisation. The Finance Manager is a key role, responsible for the day-to-day finances and responding to queries as they arise for the organisation. Reporting to and working closely with the Finance Director, the Finance Manager will ensure the systems and procedures in place that safeguard the Charity and its subsidiary companies (ESC Catering Ltd and Royal Court Theatre Productions Ltd) are the most effective they can be. They will share the ambition and enthusiasm to enable and drive change in the department to meet the needs of this busy producing theatre that is constantly evolving. 

The Finance Manager line manages the Finance Assistant ensuring the transactional detail is accurately and efficiently processed in a timely manner. Working in a fully paperless operation the Finance Manager will take the lead on several of the systems used to produce all the records in Xero. The jobholder will also be a key player in producing for example: first draft Management Accounts, Catering accounts, departmental reports and help colleagues with analysis against budgets.

• Knowledge of working with integrated IT systems such as Xero

The Role

Reporting to the Finance Director, the Head of Central Finance will lead work across the charity to support the delivery of comprehensive financial services to all levels of the charity including the board of trustees, the Chief Executive and Executive Board, the senior leadership team and other managers, setting and maintaining compliance with all statutory and internal requirements.

We are looking for a Financial Analyst to play a key role in the finance and broader management team of our ancient and innovative Christian charity, which has a chapel and a pattern of prayer at its heart.

This is a new role established to support our Finance Director and provide analysis of results and performance to support the Commercial Director, managers and trustees in their decision-making processes.

The role

Permanent Group Accountant

Salary Range £58,000 - £64,000.

The position is working for a renowned private school based in SE London.

Hybrid working; 4 days on site.

This is a new permanent role which has arisen due to the expansion of the group. Its purpose is to help the finance team evolve to ensure it delivers a modern finance service to the growing group. • Prepare the groups financial statements and audit working papers.

Charity organisation based in London, is looking for an experience Payroll Project Manager for a 1-year fixed term contract.

THE ROLE:

Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will be required help select and migrate a replacement to the current set up of having part of the payroll delivered on Sage and the other part delivered externally by external payroll bureau.

To check month end payroll and support the “Finance Manager” whose role is to run payroll each month by submitting data to the bureau or by using Sage.

Check payroll before Finance Director signs it off, making sure the P32 agrees to the payroll journal and that the correct deductions for pensions are paid over to the pension providers.

Supporting Finance Manager with any technical help required throughout the month and to cover for the manager if they were on leave.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

· You must have 8 to 10+ years strong payroll experience.

· Experience of using a system called People Planner or Access payroll and have implemented People Planner as a timesheet system would be an advantage but not essential.

· Experience in migrating payroll systems

· Someone who ideally has been involved bringing payroll back in house from an outsource provider.

· You must have a hands on approach
